Biden Got The Evergreen!

Joe Biden is likely to win Washington. It will be a huge blow to Bernie Sanders who previously won the state in 2016.
The coronavirus hurts Washington state. It's been a nightmare for Gov. Jay Inslee. However, the state is still dedicated to determining the winner of the Democratic primary.

The results are not complete but it's safe to say that former Vice President Joe Biden won the state of Washington.

A state that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) carried in 2016 by a landslide.

The two are in a dead heat fight for the state. Biden so far leads in the votes with 37% over Sanders holding at 35%.

Biden carried forth Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Vancouver, Redmond and Spokane. Those are the large population centers of the state. Sanders carried Yakima, Olympia and Bellingham.

The state will award both candidates 37 delegates.
Seattle went to Biden. The city is considered one of the most progressive in the United States.
Sanders only managed to capture California, one of the biggest prizes in the delegate race. He was certified the winner on Friday. Today, the results in Washington come as a bruising blow to Sanders.

After losing Michigan, Sanders had to reflect on how he's going forth. He said that he will not concede and will debate Biden on Sunday. The two confirm they'll do their debate in Washington, DC with no audience. The original plan was to hold a debate in Phoenix, Arizona but it came to halt due to the coronavirus.

Both campaigns canceled rallies in Ohio, Kansas, Arizona, Georgia and Florida.

Biden who barely campaigned in the state.

Sanders did at least get one positive out of this race. Back then, Democrats would award all the delegates to the winner. Now under the new rules, Democrats will do proportional representation.

Donald J. Trump won unopposed.
