Former Tallahassee mayor and Democratic nominee for Florida governor is back in the news. He is a contributor to CNN and has been an outspoken critic of Donald J. Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis, his former rival.

Andrew Gillum is facing a sex scandal. It involves a gay escort, alcohol, methamphetamine and a lot of denials.

Gillum was caught with his pants down literally. The Miami Beach Police have confirmed that the former mayor was at a South Beach hotel early Friday morning and in the company of a man who appeared to overdose on the ice. He was treated for his overdose.

The law said they were called to the Mondrian South Beach early Friday morning and found paramedics trying to treat an overdose man. Travis Dyson, a 30-year old man from Miami. He apparently had a heart attack. The two other men inside the room was Aldo Mejias and Gillum.

Gillum was not arrested at the time. He was apparently naked and too intoxicated to answer questions. An offense incident report says that officers found three clear plastic baggies of suspected crystal meth on the bed and floor.

Trying to distance himself from incident, he issued a statement.

"I was in Miami last night for a wedding celebration when first responders were called to assist one of my friends. While I had too much to drink, I want to be clear that I have never used methamphetamines. I apologize to the people of Florida for the distraction this has caused our movement."

Gay escort says he and Gillum know each other for a long time.

According to the law, Mejias told the law that he gave his credit card information to Dyson to rent the room and planned to meet him Friday evening. When he went to the after 11pm, Mejias said that he found Dyson and Gillum were "under the influence of an unknown substance."

Mejias, 56 said Dyson opened the door to Room 1107 to let him in and then collapsed on the bed. He said Dyson had trouble breathing, so he woke him up. Dyson vomited and then collapsed again, so Mejias performed chest compressions and Dyson called 9-1-1.

Gillum, 40, was in the bathroom vomiting.

Gillum said that he thanked Miami Beach Police and said that "he'll spend the next few weeks with my family and [would] appreciate privacy during this time."

Dyson was friends with Gillum for a while.

Dyson was a body builder, registered nurse and porn star. He was also an openly gay man who knew Gillum for years. He went by the name of Brodie Scott. He offers gay massages.

Dyson said he didn't know Gillum was in town for a wedding.

Gillum is married to R. Jai Gillum and has three children. Gillum has no criminal history.

Now, I don't really care what goes on in a person's bedroom. However, since he's a public figure who works for CNN and faced a federal probe, Gillum is scrutinized for his actions.

Admit to his wife he cheated on her. Gillum admits he's gay and tell folks that he had arranged for a sexual tryst with said victim.

Don't even worry about. It's none of our business what a private citizen does in his/her home or hotel room. Although, it's a scandal, he is no longer a politician. He isn't Governor of Florida or a lawmaker anymore. He can do whatever he wants without ridicule or shame.

Anyway, another washed up politician caught with his/her pants down! At least he wasn't dressed up as a bear singing "Baby Got Back." That would be washed up politician Sarah Palin and she participated in Fox's The Masked Singer.

Let me make this clear: I don't care what he does. This story only became worthy of coverage due to the fact he's a public figure and he was under federal watch.

Gillum is free to do whatever wants. He knew the risk and now that is caught literally with his pants down, he should address that with his wife, his family, his marriage counselor and his lawyers.
