Great Way To Lose An Election: Denaturalize Americans Over Free Speech!

Chips Ahoy.

A dying race continues to push a dying strategy. It will not get much traction.

Matter of fact, I hope he is be either defeated at the polls or find the exit in any formal or informal ways regardless.

Not encouraging violence against anyone but condemning it.

Now denaturalize me, Chips Ahoy Roy!

Fuck that white nationalist.

We need to study white nationalism, Christian and Jewish extremism. It is a toxic combination that needs to be dissolved.

Keep your God out of the government.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) should be focused Texas Congressional District 21. Kerville has definitely poor infrastructure since the damn dam collapsed. San Antonio has a deadly heat bubble where April highs are 90° F or higher. Three species of invasive mosquitoes are spreading deadlier diseases around Texas. Interstate 35 has a viaduct that is structurally insufficient. New Brunfels is become a dangerous city for gun violence. Austin has too many congested roads.

This fool is running for Texas Attorney General. I hope Texans are not stupid enough to vote this clown in. He is in a bitter primary runoff for the nominee.

Mayes Middleton seems likely to win this so I am rooting for the idiot over the moron.

New York City is almost a three day drive. What the fuck is Roy concerned with that place when he should be concerned about his damn district?

The H.R. 4692 bill sponsored by the co chair of the Anti-Sharia Law Caucus member.

The Measures Against Marxism’s Dangerous Adherents and Noxious Islamists Act [MAMDANI Act] proposes amending the Immigration and Nationality Act, which dictates federal immigration law, to allow for the deportation, denaturalization, denial of citizenship or entry to any migrant that is a member of a socialist party, communist party, the Chinese Communist Party or Islamic fundamentalist party.

It also proposes imposing such restrictions on any migrant who “advocates” for socialism, communism, Marxism or Islamic fundamentalism, a sweeping term that includes “writing, districting, circulating, printing, displaying, possessing, or publishing any written, electronic, or printed matter” in support of those ideologies, according to the bill’s text.

The acronym for the bill is a reference to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D), a democratic socialist who was born in Uganda and moved to the city as a child. Mamdani, who is Muslim, became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2018.

The Hill has reached out to Mamdani’s office for comment.

Former president Barack Obama and New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani.

In a press release, Roy asked why the U.S. continues “to import people who hate us?” in reference to those who support the ideologies targeted by his bill.

“Not just for the last six years, but for the last 60 years, our immigration system has been cynically used to disadvantage American workers’ competitiveness in favor of mass-importing the third world,” added the Texas Republican, who is running for state Attorney General. “This has not just led to higher crime and lower wages, but also the promulgation of hostile ideologies fundamentally opposed to American values.”

“By targeting the Red-Green Alliance, this legislation deploys new tools to fight back against the Marxist and Islamist advance that has devastated Europe and has now arrived on our doorstep, especially in my home state of Texas,” he added.

Under the bill, migrants who can establish that their advocacy for one of the listed ideologies occurred before they turned 14 years old are exempt from the restrictions.

As for those deemed part of an “Islamic fundamentalist party,” the bill lists the Muslim Brotherhood, the Islamic State, the Al-Nour Party, Hamas, Hezbollah, Boko Haram and Al-Shabaab as falling under that category.

There were an estimated 3.45 million Muslims in the U.S. as of 2017, according to the Pew Research Center.

Back in October, Roy introduced the Sharia-Free America Act, which proposes preventing foreign nationals who observe Sharia law from entering the U.S. or remaining in the country.
The opponent in Chip Roy's attorney general primary runoff. The totally not gay conservative Texas state senator Mayes Middleton. He is likely to win the primary. An idiot running against a moron. Classic Texas.

If calling Iran a regime makes you feel better...

If calling people who disagree with President Donald J. Trump victims of "Trump Derangement Syndrome" makes you feel better...

If calling people antisemitic if you criticize Jews, Israel and Zionism...

If calling people names if they opposed Democrats, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden and status quo politics within the party... if it makes you feel better.

If you view democratic socialism, communism, Marxism, Islamism or Satanism as a threat to you, does it make you feel better that you can cry about it, push for laws to punish and throw individuals in the iron college because you don't fucking agree with the status quo...

You sir, are a fucking dope.

But what does all of this have to do with you getting a paycheck?

Or feeding yourself or family?

Or paying your rent, car loans, student loans and credit cards?

We need you to be gassed up over a celebrity, politician, media platform or a policy that goes against what you stand for.

Oh we are engaged in a war with a country that has never attacked us. But because we are such fickle brained idiots, we were told that this country is the number one state sponsor of terrorism.

What we call terrorism is people chanting "Death to America."

What we call freedom is installing people who support America's interests.

International law only applies to countries that according to Trump are "shitholes."

We don't need to follow the rules of engagement. We follow our own laws.

It's Not Just Her!

Disgraced the badge in a minute TikTok video.

The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement will definitely have a mess on their hands.

A woman who made a viral rant calling Black people racial slurs was outed as a Houston Police officer. Now it will certainly affect the agency, the precient she was stationed at and the community that depends on her to do her job with impartiality.

It also grows the calls for the end of police immunity.

Ashley Gonzales has officially scrubbed her social media. I had difficulty trying to search for all her profiles. I didn't bother looking at MySpace but I will soon. But TikTok, Facebook and YouTube profiles of her are gone. But I am definitely looking for all of them.

Authorities said they believe it's Houston Police Officer Ashley Gonzalez in the video. While she's still technically an employee, she has been relieved of duty.

According to Houston Police Department officials, Gonzalez turned in her badge and gun and will be checked on to make sure she's at her house every day. She's not allowed to perform any police duties. When the investigation into the incident is complete, she will either be reinstated or indefinitely suspended, which means she will be fired and not eligible to be rehired.

In the video, Gonzalez appears to be referring to an incident that happened while she was off duty. She said she "hated Black people" and if she were to respond to a 911 call and a Black person was at the scene, she would take them to jail. She used the N-word several times and referenced slavery.

In the video, she said she felt good about calling a Black person the N-word to their face.

Gonzalez mentioned that the situation she was talking about in the video reminded her of her time in the Marines. According to military officials, Gonzalez served in the Marines from March 2019 through March 2023 and reached the rank of Corporal, E4. She was a motor vehicle operator and earned several awards, including the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Records show she did not deploy during her tenure.

The Houston Police Officers' Union issued a statement condemning Gonzalez's actions. The president of the Houston chapter of the NAACP, Bishop James Dixon, also condemned the video. He told us he has talked with the HPOU president, and they are on the same page.

“That is a sick mindset and is violence waiting to happen," Dixon said.

Dixon added that he has heard from several officers who are also disgusted by her actions.

Pretty stupid.

"Most people in law enforcement don't represent this ideology," Dixon said. "She misrepresented, you know, her colleagues and those who are out here every day trying to build public trust through the kind of service they provide."

Here's the full statement from HPOU:

"The Houston Police Officers’ Union is extremely disturbed by a video circulating on social media regarding an officer making offensive, racist comments. In no way does the HPOU or its leadership condone or tolerate racist behavior from any of our officers. The Houston Police Department prides itself as being the most diverse police department in the nation, largely a product of the collaborative changes to civil service law that the HPOU and the Department have made through our meet and confer process. It is our belief that the Department is diligently working to confirm the authenticity of this video and will take appropriate measures to ensure public confidence and trust between our Department and our community."

While officers have limited free speech rights, they cannot engage in behavior that undermines the department's professionalism.

Houston a city with 2.7 million residents, extending into four counties has over 5,800 officers covering 678 miles.

The lack of sympathy when a police officer killed on duty will be directly traced to people like that woman. Her rant will assure that people will not shed one tear if a police officer is killed.

When cops are acting like this on social media or in public, the likelihood of watching their fellow officers die is strong. When a suspect does kill a law enforcement officer, people gonna justify it by saying folks like Ashley Gonzales made it possible.

Her rants show that the whole department would rather kill you than protect you.

So why not protect yourself from the abusive cops?

If she is terminated, she will be ineligible to serve as a law enforcement officer in Texas.

If she does move to another state, it could follow her. But it highly unlikely she will ever be a police officer again.

Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick Out For Good!

It's a wrap for Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick.

The House is set to expel Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) and Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) after they got themselves in some trouble. Instead of facing the George Santos treatment, Cherfilus-McCormick announces she is resigning from the House.

Mills hasn't announced his resignation.

Midway Wrap Up in May.

Cherfilus-McCormick is very attractive. Pretty Black woman. Truly a Haitian goddess but that doesn't mean much to the House or the FBI.

Cherfilus-McCormick was the subject of a more than two-year investigation by the House Ethics Committee, which had determined recently that she had violated multiple federal laws and House rules. Support from her own party was increasingly in doubt.

It’s the third resignation in a little more than a week from a House lawmaker. Reps. Eric Swalwell, a California Democrat, and Tony Gonzales, a Texas Republican, announced within hours of each other that they were leaving Congress. Both men were facing sexual misconduct allegations and possible expulsion.

In a statement, Cherfilus-McCormick said the House committee denied her new attorney’s request for more time to prepare a defense. She also said she would not pretend that the investigation had been anything other than a “witch hunt,” and rather than play political games, she would resign, effective immediately.

“But let me say this plainly: we should be very careful about the precedent we are setting in this country, we do not punish people before due process is complete,” she said. “We do not allow allegations alone to override the will of the people. That is a dangerous path, and one that should concern every American, regardless of party.”

Cherfilus-McCormick is also facing federal criminal charges accusing her of stealing $5 million in federal disaster funds and using the money to buy items such as a 3-carat yellow diamond ring.

She has pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges and says she is not guilty of ethics violations, either.

The allegations against the congresswoman center on how she received millions of dollars from her family’s health care business after Florida mistakenly overpaid the business by roughly $5 million with COVID-19 disaster relief funds. She is accused of using that money to fund her 2022 congressional campaign through a network of businesses and family members.

Cherfilus-McCormick declined to testify during a previous Ethics Committee hearing, citing her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. Her attorney, William Barzee, sparred with some of the lawmakers and argued that they should have allowed a thorough ethics trial, at which he could present witnesses and evidence to counter the conclusions of House investigators.

Some supporters weighed in against expulsion

A group of supporters in Cherfilus-McCormick’s congressional district had weighed in on her behalf with the lawmakers who lead the Ethics Committee, urging committee leaders to proceed with caution in sanctioning her.

“Our communities deserve stability. Our voices deserve to be heard. And our right to representation must be protected,” said one of the letters signed by about a dozen local faith leaders, union officials and others.

Rep. Yvette Clarke, D-N.Y., chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, along with other members of the caucus, issued a statement that praised Cherfilus-McCormick’s time in Congress. They said Cherfilus-McCormick “worked to uplift her constituents and elevate issues impacting underserved communities at home and abroad.”

“We extend our appreciation for her service and offer our prayers for her and her family,” the caucus members said.

In all, the Ethics panel’s more than two-year investigation led to the issuance of 59 subpoenas, 28 witness interviews and a review of more than 33,000 pages of documents.

House Democratic leaders had declined to condemn Cherfilus-McCormick, saying they wanted to see the ethics process play out.

Still, leadership had been in conversations with her for weeks, ever since the Ethics committee released its findings, about the situation and the likelihood of an expulsion vote.
Sorority sisters. Former House member Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick with Reps. Jahana Hayes (D-CT), Shontel Brown (D-OH) and LaMonica McIver (D-NJ).

A high threshold for expulsion

The House has historically been reluctant to serve as the final arbiter of a lawmaker’s career, preferring to give that final say to the voters.

Of the six House members expelled, the first three fought for the Confederacy during the Civil War and were expelled for disloyalty. The next two had been convicted of crimes. The final one was George Santos, the scandal-plagued freshman who was the subject of a blistering ethics report on his conduct as well as a federal indictment.

Santos, a New York Republican, served time in prison for ripping off his campaign donors before President Donald Trump granted him clemency, and he has apologized to his former constituents.

Under the Constitution, at least two-thirds of the House has to vote for expulsion for it to occur, a high threshold that requires enormous bipartisan support.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., told reporters last week he believed the House would move to expel Cherfilus-McCormick.

“The facts are indisputable at this point,” Johnson said.

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., took exception to Cherfilus-McCormick’s characterization of the Ethics Committee’s investigation.

“Well, if you steal money, it’s called theft. It’s not called a witch hunt, and stealing taxpayer money is not going to be tolerated,” Scalise said.

So expect many other lawmakers to leave involuntary.

Virginia Passed Redistrict Referendum!

Another victory for Abigail Spanberger and Virginia Democrats.

Five Republican incumbent U.S. House members are vulnerable come general election. They reside in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

They are now sulking over the voter passed redistricting referrandum that Gov. Abigail Spanberger, former vice president Kamala Harris; presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden endorsed.

Midway Wrap Up in May.

Guaranteed that Rep. Jennifer Kiggans (R-VA) will run for governor once Spanberger is done.

She is the most vocal Republican member to scream at this.

Thank President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Texas governor Greg Abbott, Missouri governor Mike Kehoe and Elon Musk. Had they let the voters decide and allow independent redistricting commissions, California and Virginia would never went as far to put it on the ballot.

Virginia voters approved a mid-decade redistricting plan Tuesday that could boost Democrats’ chances of winning four additional U.S. House seats in November’s midterm elections that will decide control of the closely divided Congress.

The constitutional amendment narrowly backed by voters bypasses a bipartisan redistricting commission to allow the use of new districts drawn by Virginia’s Democratic-led General Assembly. But the public vote may not be the final word. The state Supreme Court is considering whether the plan is illegal in a case that could make the referendum results meaningless.

The Virginia redistricting referendum marked a setback for President Donald Trump, who kicked off a national redistricting battle last year by urging Republican officials in Texas to redraw districts. The goal was to help Republicans win more seats in the November elections and hold on to a narrow House majority in the face of political headwinds that typically favor the party out of power during midterm elections.

But the Virginia redistricting referendum could help nullify Republican gains elsewhere.

“Virginia just changed the trajectory of the 2026 midterms,” Democratic state House Speaker Don Scott said in a celebratory statement. “At a moment when Trump and his allies are trying to lock in power before voters have a say, Virginians stepped up and leveled the playing field for the entire country.”

Democratic Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger, who campaigned for the new map, quickly shifted her attention to the November election.

“I understand the urgency of winning congressional seats as a check on this President, and I look forward to campaigning with candidates across the Commonwealth working to earn Virginians’ trust,” she said in a statement.

Virginia vote is part of a national redistricting battle

The redistricting in Texas led to a burst of redistricting nationwide. So far, Republicans believe they can win up to nine more House seats in newly redrawn districts in Texas, Missouri, North Carolina and Ohio. Democrats think they can win up to five more seats in California, where voters approved a similar mid-decade redistricting effort last November, and one more seat under new court-imposed districts in Utah.

Democrats hope to offset the rest of that gap in Virginia, where they decisively flipped 13 seats in the state House and won back the governor’s office last year.

Tuesday’s narrow victory for Democrats contrasted with last fall’s vote in California, where a Democratic redistricting plan passed by a nearly 29-point margin.

“As we saw in California, when voters have a say, they are rejecting Republicans’ attempt to rig the system,” said U.S. Rep. Suzan DelBene, of Washington state, who is chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Republicans pledged to continue the battle over Virginia’s new map in court.

“Serious legal questions remain about both the wording of this referendum and the process used to put it before voters,” Virginia House Republican Minority Leader Terry Kilgore said. “Those questions have not been resolved, and they now move where they belong: to the courts.”

U.S. Rep. Richard Hudson, of North Carolina, who is chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee, said the “close margin reinforces that Virginia is a purple state that shouldn’t be represented by a severe partisan gerrymander.”

The back-and-forth redistricting battle also could continue in Florida, where the Republican-led Legislature is to convene April 28 for a special session that could result in more favorable congressional districts for Republicans.

Voters focus on fairness, with different perspectives

The campaign over Virginia’s redistricting referendum focused heavily on fairness.

Republicans argued that it was unfair to gerrymander Virginia’s districts to Democrats’ advantage. But Democrats argued that they were creating a fairer election landscape nationally by counteracting Republican gerrymandering elsewhere.

Matt Wallace, of Alexandria, said he voted for the Democratic redistricting amendment “to help balance the scales a bit until things get back to normal.”

But Ruth Ann McCartney, who voted in the town of South Hill just a few miles north of the North Carolina border, said she cast her ballot against the amendment.

“I look at it more as we don’t have the population as northern Virginia,” she said. “And as a rural area, we just need to be heard.”
Jen Kiggans will be written out. She is considering a run for governor.

A lobsterlike district could aid Democratic efforts

In Virginia, Democrats currently hold six of the 11 U.S. House seats under districts that were imposed by the state Supreme Court in 2021 after a bipartisan commission failed to agree on a map based on the latest census data.

The new plan could help Democrats win as many as 10 seats. Five seats are anchored in the Democratic stronghold of northern Virginia, including one stretching out like a lobster to consume Republican-leaning rural areas. Revisions to four other districts across Richmond, southern Virginia and Hampton Roads dilute the voting power of conservative blocs in those areas. And a reshaped district in parts of western Virginia lumps together three Democratic-leaning college towns to offset other Republican voters.

Democrats portrayed the Virginia redistricting as a response to Trump. Ads for the “yes to redistricting” campaign featuring former President Barack Obama flooded the airwaves.

But opponents of the redistricting also distributed campaign materials citing statements from Obama and Spanberger, who had both criticized gerrymandering in the past.

Spanberger and Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA).

Virginia court weighs whether lawmakers acted illegally

Congressional redistricting typically is done once a decade after each census.

In 2020, Virginia voters approved a constitutional amendment meant to diminish political gamesmanship by shifting redistricting responsibilities away from the legislature.

But lawmakers endorsed a new constitutional amendment allowing mid-decade redistricting last fall, then passed it again in January as part of a two-step process that requires an intervening election in order for an amendment to be placed on the ballot. The measure allows lawmakers to redistrict until returning the task to a bipartisan commission after the 2030 census.

In February, they passed a new U.S. House map to take effect pending the outcome of the redistricting referendum.

Republicans have filed multiple legal challenges against the redistricting effort.

A Tazewell County judge ruled that the redistricting push was illegal for several reasons. Circuit Court Judge Jack Hurley Jr. said lawmakers failed to follow their own rules for adding the redistricting amendment to a special session. He ruled that their initial vote failed to occur before the public began casting ballots in last year’s general election and thus didn’t count toward the two-step process. And he ruled that the state failed to publish the amendment three months before that election, as required by law.

If the state Supreme Court agrees with the lower court, the referendum results could be rendered moot.

Tucker Carlson: I'm Gonna Live With Regret Backing [Trump]!

Tucker Carlson thinks he can be a better president than Trump. Both are delusional.

Tucker Carlson is hinting a 2028 presidential run. The far right agitator and prominent white nationalist has come to grips that his former friend, President Donald J. Trump has let the movement down.

Carlson was at the White House this year and at the funeral of Charlie Kirk in 2025.

Trump and Carlson had friendly encounters until April. Well I guess the fallout happened when the Epstein files weren't released in full. The attacks on Joe Kent, a former national security official who left in protest of the U.S. involvement in war with Iran.

He hosted Nick Fuentes, a Palestinian Christian, Ice Cube, Candace Owens, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), critics of the president and some progressives disillusioned by Democratic leadership.

His interviews with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and U.S. Ambassador to Isrsel Mike Huckabee exposed how deep Republicans ties to Israel are. Israel was not fond of the Carlson exposé of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Israel has placed a travel ban on him and forcibly detained him after he conducted the interview with Huckabee while in Israel.

He and his brother Buckley Carlson have come to realize that the president will never deliver on the promises he promoted in his comeback bid.

Carlson's son Buckley has left the White House as deputy press secretary to Vice President JD Vance. His son shares his uncle's name.

Carlson has been attacked by the president, Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro and Laura Loomer for fiercely opposing the Iran War. The president also turned on Marjorie Taylor Greene, Candace Owens, Alex Jones and Megyn Kelly.

This civil war within the MAGA movement is very serious.

As the ongoing aggression in Iran continues, Israel has launched attacks in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza and the West Bank. Israel is deliberately sabotaging the so called ceasefire.

Trump, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff were caught off guard by how strong Iran was. They underestimated how patriotic Iranians are.

Carlson was dismayed on how Trump threatened to wipe out an entire population if the U.S. cannot work out a deal with Iran. The attack on a school, the destruction of a bridge, the attacks on their energy grid amount to war crimes. The casualties and deaths of American troops is not being revealed due to the U.S. withholding information. Iran is literally putting out the information and the U.S. is dismissing it as unverified.

Carlson has been considered on of the most influential figures in the America First movement and has called the annoitment of Vance to be problematic.

Carlson expressed regret for having publicly supported the president, who has repeatedly attacked him in recent months.

“You wrote speeches for him, I campaigned for him. I mean, we’re implicated in this, for sure,” said Carlson to his brother on The Tucker Carlson Show. “It’s not enough to say, ‘Well I changed my mind,’ or like, ‘Oh this is bad, I’m out.’ It’s like in very small ways, but in real ways, you and me and millions of people like us are the reason this is happening right now.”

“Yes,” Buckley replied.

The former Fox News host continued, “So I do think it’s like a moment to wrestle with our own consciences. You know, we’ll be tormented by it for a long time. I will be, and I want to say I’m sorry for misleading people, and it was not intentional. That’s all I’ll say.”

Trump has repeatedly lashed out at Carlson in recent months in response to his former ally becoming increasingly critical of the Trump administration – most notably its handling of the Epstein files and the president’s war against Iran.

This month, the president called Carlson “a Low IQ person,” “stupid,” and “highly overrated” in several Truth Social rants attacking him.

The Democrats better abandon Israel.

Carlson has at least generated 7% of Democratic support. That really matters in a close election. Hypothetically if any candidate runs for president on the notion that the U.S.-Israeli alliance is rock solid, they may end up being a sacrificial goat in a general election.

Only time can tell if Trump and Carlson mend fences.

But this is the perfect time for Democrats to get their act together. Cause this playing nice, continuing the status quo and dismissing the left is going to push them into Carlson's corner.

Scary thought the 48th President of the United States, Tucker Swanson McNear Carlson.

Erica Schwartz Picked For CDC!

Trump hires Dr. Erica Schwartz to lead the CDC.

President Donald J. Trump hires a Black woman. The first in his chaotic second term.

Midway Wrap Up in May.

Retired rear admiral Erica Schwartz will be appointed as head of the Centers for Disease Control. She will likely get bipartisan confirmation. She isn't too controversial even for a candidate not seen as a member of MAGAland.

The president on Thursday nominated Erica Schwartz, a former deputy surgeon general, to be the next director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In a social media post, Trump described Schwartz as “incredibly talented” and said, “She is a STAR!”

The Atlanta-based CDC, which is charged with protecting Americans from preventable health threats, has been in turmoil since Trump returned to office more than a year ago, with a succession of mostly temporary leaders.

The agency is overseen by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who had promised not to change the nation’s vaccination schedule. But shortly after taking office, Kennedy said he was going to investigate the childhood vaccine schedule and went on to attempt a substantial rewrite of vaccine recommendations for kids. Some of those efforts were put on hold recently by a federal judge.

The administration’s first pick to run the CDC was former Florida congressman Dr. David Weldon, but his March 2025 Senate confirmation hearing was canceled an hour before it was to begin. Weldon said at the time that he’d been told not enough senators were willing to vote for him.

The White House then moved on to Susan Monarez, who had been serving as the CDC’s acting director. Monarez was confirmed by the Senate, but she was ousted in less than a month. Trump administration officials said she wasn’t aligned with their agenda so they terminated her.

Several key CDC scientific leaders resigned in protest, saying Monarez’s dismissal dashed their hopes that a CDC director would be able to guard against political meddling in the agency’s scientific research and health recommendations.

Since then, there’s been a revolving door in agency leadership, with the short-term role of acting director being passed from one Washington-based HHS official to another. National Institutes of Health Director Jay Bhattacharya has been overseeing the CDC the past several weeks.

During a House Appropriations Committee hearing Thursday, Kennedy said the new CDC team was “extraordinary.”

Two old fools.

“I think this new team is really going to be able to revolutionize CDC and get it back on track,” he said.

Schwartz holds multiple academic credentials, including both medical and law degrees. Her career has largely been spent in military uniform, including in a leadership position at the U.S. Coast Guard where she oversaw the organization’s system of 41 clinics and 150 sick bays.

She later served as deputy surgeon general, where she helped lead uniformed medical and health professionals posted at the CDC and government health agencies that serve the general public.

Schwartz could not be reached for comment.

Trump also announced the appointment of Sean Slovenski, a former Walmart executive, as CDC deputy director and chief operating officer. Dr. Jennifer Shuford, Texas health commissioner, was named the CDC’s deputy director and chief medical officer. And Dr. Sara Brenner, a former Food and Drug Administration administrator, was designated as a senior counselor for public health to Kennedy.

In a social media post Thursday, Kennedy congratulated Schwartz and the other appointees and said he looks “forward to working together to restore trust, accountability, and scientific integrity” at the CDC.

But Aaron Siri, a lawyer and ally of Kennedy in attacking vaccines and pharmaceutical companies, criticized Schwartz’s selection. In a social media post, Siri lambasted Schwartz’s past promotion of vaccinations and said “she lacks the basic ethics and morals to lead the CDC.”

Schwartz’s nomination comes as Dr. Casey Means, Trump’s pick for another key health-related role, U.S. surgeon general, has had difficulty getting confirmed.

Means’ languishing nomination after appearing for a confirmation hearing in February reflects the skepticism that lawmakers of both parties have expressed toward the direction Kennedy has taken his department.

Lori Chavez-DeRemer Labored Out!

Lori Chavez-DeRemer got tipsy.

The former Oregon House member who served less than a year as the Trump Administration's Secretary of Labor was forced out.

Another woman.

Midway Wrap Up in May.

She and her husband had some freaky stuff going on at the Labor Department.

Very fine people.

Lori Chavez-DeRemer is out of President Donald J. Trump’s Cabinet, the White House said Monday, after multiple allegations of abusing her position’s power, including having an affair with a subordinate and drinking alcohol on the job.

Chavez-DeRemer is the third Trump Cabinet member to leave her post after Trump fired his embattled Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in March and ousted Attorney General Pam Bondi earlier this month.

In a statement posted on social media, Chavez-DeRemer praised Trump and wrote, “I am proud that we made significant progress in advancing President Trump’s mission to bridge the gap between business and labor and always put the American worker first.”

Unlike other recent Cabinet departures, Chavez-DeRemer’s exit was announced by a White House aide, not by the president on his social media account.

“Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer will be leaving the Administration to take a position in the private sector,” White House communications director Steven Cheung said on the social media site X. “She has done a phenomenal job in her role by protecting American workers, enacting fair labor practices, and helping Americans gain additional skills to improve their lives.”

He said Keith Sonderling, the current deputy labor secretary, would become acting labor secretary in her place. The news outlet NOTUS was the first to report Chavez-DeRemer’s resignation.

Dr. Shawn DeRemer and Lori Chavez-DeRemer were accused of inappropriate relationships with staff.

Labor chief, family members faced multiple allegations

Chavez-DeRamer’s departure follows reports that began surfacing in January that she was under a series of investigations.

A New York Times report last Wednesday revealed that the Labor Department’s inspector general was reviewing material showing Chavez-DeRemer and her top aides and family members routinely sent personal messages and requests to young staff members.

Chavez-DeRemer’s husband and father exchanged text messages with young female staff members, according to the newspaper. Some of the staffers were instructed by the secretary and her former deputy chief of staff to “pay attention” to her family, people familiar with the investigation told the Times.

Those messages were uncovered as part of a broader investigation of Chavez-DeRamer’s leadership that began after the New York Post reported in January that a complaint filed with the Labor Department’s inspector general accused Chavez-DeRemer of a relationship with the subordinate.

She also faced allegations that she drank alcohol on the job, and that she tasked aides to plan official trips for primarily personal reasons.

Late Monday, on her personal X account, Chavez-DeRemer posted, “The allegations against me, my family, and my team have been peddled by high-ranked deep state actors who have been coordinating with the one-sided news media and continue to undermine President Trump’s mission.”

Both the White House and the Labor Department initially said the reports of wrongdoing were baseless. But the official denials got less full-throated as more allegations emerged — and when Chavez-DeRemer might be out of a job became something of an open question in Washington.

At least four Labor Department officials have already been forced from their jobs as the investigation progressed, including Chavez-DeRemer’s former chief of staff and deputy chief of staff, as well as a member of her security detail, with whom she was accused of having the affair, The New York Times reported.

“I think the secretary demonstrated a lot of wisdom in resigning,” Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., said Monday after her departure was made public.

She enjoyed union support — rare for a Republican

Confirmed to Trump’s Cabinet on a 67-32 vote in March 2025, Chavez-DeRemer is a former House GOP lawmaker who had represented a swing district in Oregon. She enjoyed unusual support from unions as a Republican but lost reelection in November 2024.

In her single term in Congress, Chavez-DeRemer backed legislation that would make it easier to unionize on a federal level, as well as a separate bill aimed at protecting Social Security benefits for public-sector employees.

Some prominent labor unions, including the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, backed Chavez-DeRemer, who is a daughter of a Teamster, for Labor Secretary. Trump’s decision to pick her was viewed by some political observers as a way to appeal to voters who are members of or affiliated with labor organizations.

But other powerful labor leaders were skeptical when she was tapped for the job, unconvinced that Chavez-DeRemer would pursue a union-friendly agenda as a part of the incoming GOP administration. In her Senate confirmation hearing, some senators questioned whether she would be able to uphold that reputation in an administration that fired thousands of federal employees.

Teamster president Sean O'Brien endorsed President Donald J. Trump and Lori Chavez-DeRemer.

She was a key figure in Trump’s deregulatory push

Aside from reports of wrongdoing in recent months, Chavez-DeRemer had been one of Trump’s more lower-profile Cabinet picks, but took key steps to advance the administration’s deregulatory agenda during her tenure.

For instance, the Labor Department last year moved to rewrite or repeal more than 60 workplace regulations it saw as obsolete. The rollbacks included minimum wage requirements for home health care workers and people with disabilities, and rules governing exposure to harmful substances and safety procedures at mines. The effort drew condemnation from union leaders and workplace safety experts.

The proposed changes also included eliminating a requirement that employers provide adequate lighting for construction sites and seat belts for agriculture workers in most employer-provided transportation.

During Chavez-DeRemer’s tenure, the Trump administration canceled millions of dollars in international grants that a Labor Department division administered to combat child labor and slave labor around the world, ending their work that had helped reduce the number of child laborers worldwide by 78 million over the last two decades.

In her statement Monday, Chavez-DeRemer said, “While my time serving in the Administration comes to a conclusion, it doesn’t mean I will stop fighting for American workers.”

The Labor Department has a broad mandate as it relates to the U.S. workforce, including reporting the U.S. unemployment rate, regulating workplace health and safety standards, investigating minimum wage, child labor and overtime pay disputes, and applying laws on union organizing and unlawful terminations.

Blame Game: Shamar Elkins!

The shooter killed his family.

Going to fight a war to protect the elite is not cool.

What did those children ever do to drive their father mad with rage?

The suspected shooter is a 31 year old man who is an Army veteran.

Now, you tell me how many of these U.S. soliders are coming back warped in the head?

President Donald J. Trump will just eat his McDonald's, drink his Diet Coke, watch Fox or Newmax, post some dumb shit on Truth Social or X and the go to bed. Oh, he will do a campaign event or appear at a sporting event.

We are $39.6 trillion in debt. Trump in his first year of his second term has put over $3 trillion into the national debt.

While 34% of Americans approve of his job, the rest of us are angry. There are Americans who fear they might be homeless. They're Americans who are likely going to be potentially violent if they are angered by politics. Some are potentially desperate to steal or just willing to end it all when things get worse.

I get it.

We are living in chaotic times.

Y'all voted for this.

If you didn't and you keep telling folks, "we tried to warn you", understand that you're part of the problem too. You act like you are on some high moral ground when you're just as bad as they are.

MAGA is dead.

Trump is definitely in the second term curse.

President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Gov. Jeff Landry, Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Sen. John N. Kennedy (R-LA), U.S. House members and Shreveport mayor Tom Arceneaux were notified of this mass shooting.

The shooter killed eight children Sunday in a shooting that authorities described as a domestic violence incident and was later killed by police after he fled in a carjacked vehicle, officials said.

The suspect's wife and a woman believed to be his girlfriend were also shot and seriously injured in the violence, which occurred at two homes in the early morning, police said.

The children killed were 18 months to 12 years old, police said.

“I just don’t know what to say. My heart is just taken aback,” Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith told reporters. “I just cannot begin to imagine how such an event can occur.”

Police identified Shamar Elkins as the shooter and sole suspect. Seven of the eight children who were killed were his, police spokesperson Christopher Bordelon said.

Shreveport police officers responded to the 300 block of West 79th Street just after 6 a.m. following reports of a domestic disturbance, police said. Bordelon described the crime scene as “extensive.”

The gunman first shot a woman on nearby Harrison Street before he headed to a home on West 79th Street, where he killed all the children, police said.

The gunman fled and carjacked a person at gunpoint near the intersection of Linwood Avenue and West 79th Street, police said.

Officers shot and killed the suspect in neighboring Bossier Parish after a pursuit, police said. Police believe there are no other suspects, Bordelon said.

“Officers were forced to discharge their department-issued firearms, neutralizing the suspect,” police said in a statement.

Louisiana State Police are investigating the shooting of the suspect. Shreveport police said nothing suggests any wrongdoing by officers.

The gunman shot 10 victims in all. A teenager had non-life-threatening injuries from falling off a roof, police said.

One of the wounded women is Elkins' wife, who was shot in the face but was alive Sunday, and the other woman is believed to be his girlfriend, Bordelon said.

The shooter shot the children's mother and another woman.

Seven of the children who were killed were found in the home and the eighth was found dead on a back roof, Bordelon said.

He said investigators are still investigating why Elkins would have carried out the shootings.

“We know it’s domestic in nature, we know his wife is involved, and she is the mother of at least seven of the children, with the eighth being a family friend,” Bordelon said.

A small-caliber handgun was used in some of the violence, and Elkins had a "rifle-style pistol" when police confronted and killed him, Bordelon said.

It appears many of the children were shot in their sleep, Bordelon said. Most of them were shot in the head, he said.

"It is a disgusting and evil scene," Bordelon said.

Mack London, 71, who lives on the same block, said he didn’t hear the gunfire and that he only learned of the killings from a neighbor as he stepped outside around 7 a.m. to close his gate. By then, he said, the street was flooded with police and an ambulance, with the block shut down and onlookers gathering.

London, who has lived there since 1991, said such violence is unheard of in the neighborhood. “Nothing like this has ever happened on this street,” he said. “It was bad. ... I hate that it happened to those kids.”

Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux said the community is in mourning.

“This is a tragic situation, maybe the worst tragic situation we’ve ever had in Shreveport,” he said at a news conference.

Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry said he is “heartbroken over this horrific situation” and grateful for local law enforcement and first responders. House Speaker Mike Johnson, who has represented Shreveport in Congress for almost 10 years, called the incident a “heartbreaking tragedy,” adding that his team is in touch with local police.

Elkins was a former member of the Louisiana Army National Guard who served from August 2013 to August 2020 as a signal support system specialist and a fire support specialist, but he never deployed and left a private, the Army said.

Elkins had a 2019 arrest and conviction of illegal use of a firearm, which likely prohibited him from legally owning firearms, Bordelon said.

Members of Shreveport’s City Council gathered near the scene Sunday afternoon to pray and ask the community to lift up the family affected.

The slain children “had their whole life ahead of them,” Council Chair Tabatha Taylor said through tears.

“This is the result when someone snaps,” Taylor said. “So I’m going to ask the community, along with prayer, with every mental health consultant that is out there — this family and this community needs you.”

Freddie and Marie Montgomery live across the street from where the children were killed, but they didn’t know the family well. They said the family had moved in about six months ago.

Around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, there was a commotion and Shreveport police were entering the home, they said.

“When they brought all those kids out of that house, that’s just the worst thing I ever seen,” Marie Montgomery said.

Saturday, Freddie Montgomery was visiting with another neighbor and returning home when he saw a man in the front yard and the children playing outside. He said he waved at the man and the man waved back like normal.

“When we found out what had actually happened over there, it was just, just a shock,” he said. “There is no sense in this.”

Are you getting tired of this?

The status quo politics of "can't do nothing" or "now is not the time."

On average there are two mass shootings a day now. It never stops.

Uh oh. Better see if the far right preparing to make this shooter a leftist.

I wonder if Charlie Kirk got something to say about it?

Nevermind.

Only in America, how many more mass shootings must we deal with before we finally curb gun violence?
The mass shootings have to total 100 or more dead.
An elected official will be shot and killed.
A terrorist will target a protected group.
Police officers will be killed by a gunman.
All of these above.

The United States is the most violent country in the world. Israel and Russia follow behind respectfully. Israel, Russia and the United States are the most hated countries in the world.

The United States is downsizing in democracy.

What is wrong with white men, white women and white boys?

It's the guns stupid!

Things to keep in mind when the blame game comes, will the suspect be:
  • White
  • Black
  • Latino
  • Muslim
  • Arab
  • Non White National
  • Immigrant
  • A member of the LGBTQ community
  • A disgruntled employee
  • A former student
  • A current student
  • A gang member
  • A so called leftist
  • A person who has conservative views
  • A person with easy access to firearm
The person with easy access to firearms should be the only answer. Alas, the far right is hoping for this to be a person they can scapegoat as their next de jour of outrage. Anyone can get firearm in the United States. Even, people who are non U.S. citizens are allowed to obtain firearms.

The real issue is not just guns, it's white men, white women tears and white boys. They are losing their goddamn minds. Inspired by loneliness, politics, job loss, social media trends, endless perceptions of others, the lack of opportunities (besides joining the military) and the need to be ahead of everyone else is what drives these fools to commit endless chaos.

If the suspect is white, they will give the shooter a glaring profile. If the suspect is not white, expect the far right to claim its the left or accused a certain nationality, race, religion or sexuality the cause of mass shootings.

White privilege also santizes the white shooters. Already we are getting details of the mass shooters. Glaring profiles of these white mass shooters to paint them as unfortunate circumstances. Ignoring the fact, these terrorists had signs of potential danger but their families thought it was just noise.

That restraining order doesn't mean much to a deranged individual. It's a trigger!

I wish things could have turned out well! But unfortunately, a shooter never abides to a court order!

How can a piece of paper protect a victim when it's not reliant on stopping the perpetrator (from causing harm)?

The real issue is gun violence. Not comedians. Not activists. Not Black men. Not immigrants. Not Muslims. Not transgender Americans. Not video games. Not movies. Not rap music. Not the left.

A man made crisis that can be solved if these incompetent politicians and media agitators stop making excuses for the continued gun violence epidemic. Prayers are just words and speeches. Instead offering words, how about policies?

The United States is downsizing in democracy and freedom.

This is America.

I just want to say that the Second Amendment is White, period.

A bullet does not care about color. We all bleed red and so many lives are lost to gun violence. Republicans offer no solutions other than "thoughts and prayers", "send them back" with a touch of "lock em up."

Gun violence continues to be the number one threat in the United States.

I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns. Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases.

Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is lawmakers not willing to stop gun violence.

According to the far rightWhite shooters are always mentally ill or lone wolves. The far right believes they should receive some sympathy for their crimes. Black shooters are unrepentant thugs and criminals who deserve lengthy time in the iron college or death. Gay and transgender shooters are active groomers who want to be pedophiles on children. Muslim shooters are terrorists who should be surveiled or deported. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants and they should be deported. According to the far right, almost all white [or non-white] mass shooters are registered Democrats [leftist or some progressive activist] because they have liked or done one thing common to the politics of the left. Of course, they often share or post disinformation by using the ridiculous "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. The far right says a white person should "protect" themselves from thugs, terrorists or protesters. They believe the use of firearms are "justified" if they are protesting or even instigating a conflict. The far right believes if a shooter is a police officer, an active military member, a veteran or a citizen who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens in urban communities, the far right automatically assume the gunmen are Black. Even if the evidence turns out that the shooter has alignment with conservative causes or Republicans, the far right dismisses it as a hoax or a plot to demonize the MAGA movement.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican lawmakers who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms.

Trump gave us open season.

WHITE PRIVILEGE IS REAL! IT'S "SUIT AND TIE" WHITE SUPREMACY ON TELEVISION, RADIO, THE INTERNET AND AMERICAN POLICY!

FOR EVERY BAD COP, THERE WILL BE A DEAD COP!

IF THE UNITED STATES CONTINUES TO AID ISRAEL, THE WORLD WILL BOYCOTT THE U.S. AND ABANDON THE DOLLAR!

I DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET OR THE COP'S VERSION.

These murderers don't have mental illness. They are calculated and prepared. It happened to be a moment where they have the opportunity to take out lives.

There's no sickness in the head. Most mass shooters legally obtain their assault rifles without little background checks. They have likely no criminal history and they are willing to use the assault weapon in the only thing it's good for: Killing numerous lives.

Holding these lawmakers accountable is not just a pledge, but a promise. You need to learn who represents your community. Your local community member, your school board member, your mayor, your state representative, your state senator, your governor, your U.S. Representative, your U.S. Senator and the president need to be held accountable for their actions.

Iran isn't a threat. The U.S. citizen with a firearm is the threat.

People, please do not resort to the levels of those who profit off the anger. The anger of right wing Americans in the wake of white nationalist Charlie Kirk's death has sparked a censorship and harassment campaign.

They want you to risk your freedom or your life to protect their right to gas you up to commit unspeakable crimes against one another.

Any current or future government shutdown will definitely rile up people. When you start fucking with the money, people start going crazy. Especially when their needs outmatch the noise of Congress and the junk food media.

If you care about the future and want to voice your frustration with your federal officials, let 2026 be the call to action.

The website Officer Down is a memorial to those police officers who were killed in the line of duty. Those victims who don't get their names or accomplishments mentioned in the junk food media. Also the website the National Gun Violence Memorial also keeps record of the many individuals killed by gun violence. We are covering workplace violencereligious facility violencepolice violence and school shootings as well.

The call center to the White House and Congress should still be the same.

The call number to the White House and U.S. Capitol is now going to be used. This is the official White House numbers 202-456-1111 and 202-456-1414. This is the Congress official phone number, 202-224-3121. Please be respectful to operators, staff members and elected leaders. Your calls are monitored by the U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Capitol Police.

Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to curb gun violence. Let them know that we are tired of police officers using immunity when committing death of suspects in custody. You want no more qualified immunity for police officers who use deadly force when it's not justified. Let them know that deporting law abiding immigrants seeking refuge is inhumane. You want the U.S. to improve the immigration process. You want the U.S. lawmakers stop dehumanizing human beings. You want no more wars in the Middle East. You want the U.S. to prove to the world its a beacon of freedom. You want our American military and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents out of our cities, the Middle East and every fucking international conflict in the world. You want legislation to focus on lowering the cost of rent, lowering the cost of food, lowering the cost of hospital visits, improving healthcare and building relationships with other nations. Let them know that you tired of being lectured about oppresive regimes overseas when the very people running our state and federal government are doing the same in real time. Let them know that you will not tolerate a government shutdown which affects federal services for Americans in need or in support of services. Let them know that pulling out of the UN Human Rights Organization, World Health Organization and Paris Climate Accords will put the U.S. in danger when catastrophic event happen. Let them know that you are tired of private equity firms getting away with destroying small businesses and long established companies. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel and Ukraine. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-semitic or in support of terrorism because you support the freedom of Palestinians. You are tired of the propaganda being forced on your media platforms.

We have bigger issues at home and our tax dollars should solve the housing crisis, lowering food prices, fixing roads, bridges, helping reinvest in struggling urban and rural communities. We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying. There are bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire, a weapons embargo, sanctions and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more domestic or foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and lawmakers avoid influence from lobbyists and special interest groups.

THERE IS NO GOD!

GOD IS NOT FIXING THIS!

FUCK YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!

LET ME BE CLEAR, PRAYERS DO NOT STOP FUCKING BULLETS!

THIS IS A MAN-MADE ISSUE! WHY IS IT SO HARD TO STOP A MAN-MADE ISSUE LIKE GUN VIOLENCE?

STOP SAYING YOU'RE PRAYING TO PEOPLE AFFECTED BY GUN VIOLENCE. IT IS FUCKING PLATITUDES. DO SOMETHING ABOUT FUCKING GUN VIOLENCE YOU WORTHLESS LAWMAKERS. PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, THE CHOICE TO CONTINUE THE STATUS QUO WILL KEEP YOU AND OTHERS AT RISK OF VIOLENCE. MAKE A CHOICE TO STOP THE CHAOS AND ACT LIKE A FUCKING 79 YEAR OLD MAN. DO SOMETHING TO HELP THE COUNTRY.
