What Happened To Ronald Davis?

St. Paul Police shot and kill mentally ill man armed with a knife.
BE WARNED THERE WILL BE GRAPHIC VIDEO

How many men of color are going to die at the hands of the police?

Once again, we talk about the death of people of color at the hands of police. Many African American men are often shot. Whether they're armed or unarmed, police officers in the United States and Canada often see Black men as a danger.

You heard about the white mass shooter who murdered a minor league baseball star's family. The white terrorist stripped himself to the nude and started attacking police and an innocent bystander.

The white cop who was being chased by the suspect deployed the Taser and tried to wrestle him to the ground. He didn't bother grabbing his firearm and shooting this guy.

The suspect was caught without a bullet fired.

You have that dirty Dallas Cop who shot Botham Jean. She is trying to use the "I feared he was in my house" as an excuse to the reckless homicide of that unarmed Black man. That dirty cop was pictured on camera texting her boyfriend, a fellow cop. Her family were caught on camera with politically bias or racially offense images. She is hoping to make the jury see her fatal shooting of an unarmed individual as an accident and not cold-blooded murder.

Again, cops aren't babysitters. They're not therapists. They are individuals who swore a duty to serve and protect the communities they've pledge their lives to. Mind you that 60% of law enforcement officers manage to make it home after a shift. The other 40% are often killed in the line of duty by a suspect who managed to get the drop on them.

We here at Journal de la Reyna do not condone violence against police officers, people of color and those in the news. We just address issues that face people of color, the communities they represent, the governments that we hold accountable and the controversies in the junk food media.

This is an opinion website. We are entitled to an our opinions. We don't have to be objective towards those who disagree with us. We have a responsibility to our readers.

We don't answer to trolls or cynical individuals.

GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE THREAT IN THE UNITED STATES.

THERE IS NO GOD!

GOD IS NOT FIXING THIS!

Again, I am getting tired of hearing "thoughts and prayers." I am sick of it.
The moment the cop shoots Davis.
Thoughts and prayers, thoughts and prayers. Thoughts and prayers will not heal the wounded or bring back the dead. These are worthless platitudes and we have to stop pretending like we care about individuals we never met in our lives. Hashtag activism is not going to stop the ongoing crisis that faces people of color. We need to get motivated to run for office. We need to elect leaders who will change the status quo.

We can't let the opposition try to break us. If you're tired of platitudes and the status quo, it's time to vote. Vote to change the narrative. Hold your local, state and federal officials accountable.

WHEN COPS SEE A BLACK MAN WITH A FIREARM REGARDLESS OF IT BEING LEGAL OR ILLEGAL, THEY AUTOMATICALLY SHOOT THE BLACK MAN. EVEN AN UNARMED BLACK MAN JUST REACHING FOR A WALLET OR A DOOR HANDLE COULD BE KILLED BY THE COPS.

THE POLICE AND JUNK FOOD MEDIA TRY TO MAKE THE VICTIM, "THE BAD GUY" BY BRINGING UP HIS PAST HISTORY, HIS SOCIAL MEDIA OR HIS FAMILY LIFE.

MANY WHITES (IN LARGE GROUPS) HAVE FIREARMS IN FRONT OF POLICE AND THEY NEVER GET SHOT OR KILLED. WHY AREN'T THEY AFRAID OF THEM?

WHENEVER SOMEONE COMPLAINS ABOUT LACK OF BLACK FATHERS, I CONTINUE TO DENOUNCE THIS BULLSHIT. I REMIND THEM THAT THE POLICE KILL BLACK FATHERS. THE POLICE LEAVE CHILDREN OF COLOR WITHOUT A BLACK FATHER. AND NO AMOUNT OF MONEY COULD BRING THE PEACE AND TRANQUILITY TO THE FAMILIES OF THOSE KILLED BY THE COPS.

FOR EVERY BAD COP, THERE WILL BE A DEAD COP!

I DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET OR THE COP'S VERSION.

DONALD J. TRUMP, REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS ARE INEPT. THEY ARE NUMB TO GUN VIOLENCE. THEY CONTINUE TO ALLOW FIREARMS IN THE HANDS OF TERRORISTS AND BAD COPS.

EXPECT MORE COPS SHOOTING UNARMED OR LEGALLY ARMED PEOPLE OF COLOR.

EXPECT COPS TO WALK WHEN THEY CLAIM THEY USED DEADLY FORCE BECAUSE THEY FEARED FOR THEIR LIVES.

EXPECT MORE MASS SHOOTINGS.

EXPECT GOOD COPS TO BE KILLED BY TERRORISTS.

POLICE DEPARTMENTS CONTINUE TO ALLOW BAD COPS AND CORRUPT POLICE UNIONS TO REIGN STATE SPONSORED TERRORISM UPON PEOPLE OF COLOR.

POLICE KILLING PEOPLE OF COLOR IS STATE SPONSORED TERRORISM.

BEING A COP IS A THANKLESS JOB. THEY CONTINUE TO SERVE AND PROTECT IN AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS JOB.

THOSE CHARGED ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.

WE DON'T CONDONE VIOLENCE AGAINST LAW ENFORCEMENT OR ANY HUMAN BEING.

The St. Paul Police released the body cam footage of an officer involved shooting of a knife-welding Black man. The dramatic body camera footage has emerged showing Ronald Davis armed with a knife charging at a St. Paul cop before he fatally shot the man.

St. Paul Police said their officer, Steve Mattson screamed warnings before firing at Davis on September 15 in the Midway neighborhood of St. Paul. The 31 year old ran at him with a knife.

Instead of deploying a Taser, the cop decided to use deadly force. How many white men with knives are shot within seconds of yelling a warning?

Davis probably had mental issues. Obviously, the junk food media and conservative agitators will say that this young man had a history of criminality. They would say that cops have to do their jobs to save lives.

What drives Black Lives Matter into the matter? They are saying that cops in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metroplex are often killing people of color without regards of consequences. They complain that non-lethal force was used on white suspects and deadly force on people of color. They believe that cops have complicit bias.
Why the cops use lethal force on mentally ill people of color?
The law released portions of the dash cam. The activists are calling for a full unedited video of the shooting.

The video starts with the cop exiting his vehicle when Davis can be seen running towards him. Davis had rammed into the back end of an officer's car.

The 31-year old man was carrying items in his hand which the law confirm were a flashlight and a knife.

As he moves out the way of Davis's attack, the officer shouts at him to drop the items. As Davis advances, the cop shoots Davis.

The St. Paul Chief of Police, Todd Axtell, supported the actions of the cop. He said that the cop had no other options in the matter.

The cop still had his hand on the service weapon when he called for assistance. He didn't render CPR or treated the wounded Davis.

The cop is currently in the freezer pending a state investigation into whether criminal intent or justifiable use of force was implied.

Gov. Mark Dayton, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Sen. Tina Davis (D-MN) and the eight lawmakers in the current Minnesota delegation should do something to change this.
