African Americans are going to send a message to the police.... Our message is pure and simple!
STOP KILLING US! STOP USING THE "I FEAR FOR MY LIFE" AS AN EXCUSE!
Everytime a person of color is shot and killed by the police, the far-right wants to look up the criminal history of the suspect.
WE ARE GETTING TIRED OF THIS NARRATIVE! NO MORE EXCUSES! IF YOU CAN DETAIN ARMED WHITE SUSPECTS, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DETAIN A BLACK MAN WITHOUT USING DEADLY FORCE!
With COVID-19 killing over 4,000 people a day, gun violence took a backseat. At least 105 people have been killed each day by gun violence. There have been over 420 fatal shootings involving the police and suspects. Some don’t even make the national news.
The American people are so numb to this stuff. They won’t socially distance. They won’t wear facial masks. They don’t take the dangers of the coronavirus seriously.
As with gun violence, Congress will not do anything to stop it. Republican in the House and Senate as well as a handful of Democrats will continue to block legislation that stops the ongoing gun violence pandemic. They can’t even do anything.
The latest police shooting in the United States. Again, a never ending theme here on Journal de la Reyna is the “What Happened To” postings. I often do these postings in regards to the latest incident involving a person of color being either killed by gun or racially motivated violence. It's usually long but with Google fucking up Blogger to a point where its not possible, I'll do as much as I can.
The Columbus Division of Police shot and killed Casey Goodson, Jr. in early December.
Only three weeks later, the police shot and killed a 47-year old man holding a phone. The cop who shot him is in the freezer pending an investigation into whether he used justifiable force.
The shooting is the latest in a string of controversies surrounding the Columbus, Ohio police and the community. The shooting happened on Tuesday morning. The cops were dispatched to a neighborhood on a report of a suspicious vehicle.
The cop is a 19-year veteran and the victim was unarmed.
Andre Hill became the latest victim of police violence. He was walking towards the officer with a cellphone in hand when Columbus Police officer Adam Coy shot him three times without flinching.
The cop did not turn on his camera until after the shooting, but there is technology tied to the camera that records a 60 second lookback. The feature did not have audio of the encounter.

In the video, the cop is seen approaching a man, later identified as Hill, in an open garage.
The audio doesn’t record the commands nor what Hill was saying but clearly in the video, you see him holding a cell phone.
Once he fires his service weapon, then he turns on the camera and it starts recording the audio of Hill groaning and moaning. The cop said “FUCK.” It means in “oops, I really fucked up.”
Hill does not move and the cop demands he shows his hands.

The cop did not administer aid to Hill which also showed he had no concern for his actions.
Hill was taken to the hospital and later died of his injuries. The Columbus Department of Public Safety released the body cam showing that Hill was only holding a phone and no weapon was recovered. His left hand had a phone and his right hand was not seen.
Hill was visiting someone’s home at the time. So he wasn’t the subject of the investigation.
The cop was ordered to turn in his badge and firearm.
The Ohio Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Justice Department are now involved.
Columbus, Ohio mayor Andrew Ginther and Police Division Chief and commissioner Thomas Quinlan offered sympathy to Hill’s family and promised a swift investigation into the matter.
Black Lives Matter Columbus has called for a cannon firing and criminal charges against this cop.
Tensions have been rising since. Columbus, Ohio with a population of 946,000 residents is the only city in the Midwest that is growing. It is the fourth most economically segregated area in the country.

The city has been pushing for gentrification of Black neighborhoods and is quietly expanding its city boundaries. The city covers Franklin County, Delaware County, Licking County and soon parts of Madison County. It is the largest city in Ohio.
Shootings of Casey Goodson, Jr., Donald Saunders, Julius Tate, Kareem Ali Nadir Jones, Tyre King, Henry Green and numerous others sparked tensions between the police and residents.
The website Officer Down is a memorial to those who were killed in the line of duty. Those who don't get their names mentioned in the junk food media. Also the website the National Gun Violence Memorial also keeps record of the many individuals killed by gun violence.
So far, more Black men and women are being killed by the police. I don't want to hear no talk about white suspects being killed far more. So far, the junk food media has spotlighted Black people being shot by the police.
Tell me one political leader willing to take on the police unions, the National Rifle Association and far-right agitators!
Joe Biden owes his success to Black voters. He and Kamala Harris need to work on police reform after we get this goddamn pandemic under control. We need to make sure that we hold the new administration accountable or we'll replace them like we did with President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
FOR EVERY BAD COP, THERE WILL BE A DEAD COP!

GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE THREAT IN THE UNITED STATES.
THERE IS NO GOD!
