Ellen DeGeneres confirms that she has the coronavirus. Her wife, actress Portia De Rossi may have it as well. Warner Television along with Ellen’s A Very Good Productions and Telepictures halted programming for her daytime show until January.
“Hi everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive for COVID-19. Fortunately I’m feeling fine right now, said DeGeneres, 62 on social media.
“Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines,” she added. “I’ll see you all again after the holidays. Please stay safe and healthy.”

The Queen of Daytime Television faced heat this year. Former staffers and producers have come out with harsh criticism against Ellen. They said that she’s practically mean and the executive producers were sexist, racist and downright hateful.
The Ellen Show started again in mid-September without a large audience. Due to COVID-19, many daytime talk show hosts are having remote guests.
The bombshell story about the toxic working environment has hurt the daytime host.
Many assumed she was a nice person on and off screen. She even made the trademark catchphrase, “Be kind to one another…” and it was her signing off.

Now with another season off, the talk show could be in jeopardy to be cancelled.
Ellen even considered walking away from the show after revelations of her being rude towards a fan who admired her.
Ellen is currently in the 18th season and it still reigns in 6 million viewers. It is the No. 1 daytime syndicated talk show in the country.
Ellen, The View, Live! With Kelly and Ryan, Wendy Williams,The Kelly Clarkson Show, Tamron Hall, Today (Hoda and Jenna), The Talk, Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Rachael Ray, The Maury (Povich) Show, Steve Wilkos, The Jerry Springer Show (including Judge Jerry), The Doctors and The Drew Barrymore Show have tried to work with remote guests and limited audiences.
