I'm Sitting Here Eating And Y'All Arresting Me In Front Of My Children!

The Virginia Beach Police arrest the wrong man.

BLACK LIVES MATTER

WEAR A DAMN MASK! SAVE A LIFE!

BLOGGER IS TRASH!

This incident is making rounds on social media. A Virginia man was at a local mall eating at the food court when the law detained and handcuffed him on suspicion of credit card fraud.

This happened at the Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach. The Virginia Beach Police arrest the man in front of his girlfriend and children.

A viral video circulated showing the man, identified as Jamar [Aaron] Mackey being handcuffed and escorted outside the Lynnhaven Mall because they were investigating a report of a stolen purse and use of stolen credit cards. The description was a Black man with dreadlocks wearing all Black and with a child.

Mackey was handcuffed while sitting with his family eating before the encounter. The man and woman were demanding the law why he was being arrested.

The video went viral and the many were outraged over how Mackey was treated.

Virginia Beach Police chief Paul Neudigate said the incident was unfortunate and he said that a review was underway to “determine the propriety of the response in this matter.”

“Certainly, anyone would be upset about being detained for something they didn’t do,” said Neudigate. “While the video shows the officer stayed calm and respectful throughout the brief encounter, we must ensure the situation merits the response. We are gathering all the facts to evaluate the incident so we can address the concerns people have raised.”

Virginia Beach couple said the police treated them like criminals.

Once outside the mall, the cops appear to realize they got the wrong guy. One of the cops apologized for handcuffing Mackey in front of his family and people in the mall.

During the encounter, you can hear the woman pointing out other people walking into the mall fitting the same description and she also disputes owning a black truck the cops apparently mentioned earlier.

City leaders also had a say in the matter.

Virginia Beach Councilman Aaron Rouse took to social media to address the matter.

“I have seen the video of the incident at Lynnhaven Mall, and like many of you, I am upset and frustrated for this man who had to endure the embarrassment and indignity of being handcuffed in front of his wife, children and a crowd of shoppers for something that he did not do.”

The NAACP of Hampton Roads announced they will be launching an investigation.

Mackey is a local business owner. He was at the mall with his family.

Mackey has hired a lawyer and is planning on filing a civil lawsuit against the city.

The actual criminal who the law finally caught.

The actual suspect was arrested. They have captured the geeker and he is facing several charges including three counts of credit card fraud, receiving stolen property, receiving stolen credit cards or numbers, two counts of probation violation and failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.

He was caught on Monday and will spend the holidays in the city lockup.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

African Americans are going to send a message to the police.... Our message is pure and simple!

STOP KILLING US! STOP USING THE "I FEAR FOR MY LIFE" AS AN EXCUSE!

Everytime a person of color is shot and killed by the police, the far-right wants to look up the criminal history of the suspect.

WE ARE GETTING TIRED OF THIS NARRATIVE! NO MORE EXCUSES! IF YOU CAN DETAIN ARMED WHITE SUSPECTS, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DETAIN A BLACK MAN WITHOUT USING DEADLY FORCE!
