Percy Miller, Sr. is a media mogul, rapper, actor, music producer, chef, former basketball player. 

Miller goes by the name of Master P. 

Miller is the godfather of Southern Hip-Hop. He launched No Limit Records in the early 1990s and expanded his empire from New Orleans to Oakland, California. As Master P, he helped generate music buzz for his brothers Vyshonn (Silkk the Shocker) and Corey (C-Murder) as the rap collective T.R.U. and the 504 Boyz. 

Miller helped his friends Mia Young (Mia X), Richie Jones (Fiend) and Michael Tyler (Mystikal) become household names.

Miller bagged him one of the biggest talents in 1997. He signed Snoop Doggy Dogg to the label. 

Big Snoop dropped the Doggy and became Snoop Dogg. He joined the label and recorded three albums under the No Limit and Doggystyle labels.

The label became a success in the late 1990s.



Miller known as The Ghetto Bill and Ice Cream Man made the label a part of hip-hop history.

P and Baron Davis wants the shoe brand to be for the community.

Miller had a brief stint with the NBA as a player for the Charlotte Hornets and Toronto Raptors.

Miller is the father of seven children. One of his eldest sons, Romeo Miller is an actor, rapper, media personality and record producer.

Baron Davis and Miller are working on a huge collaboration and it may involve the sports and shoe brand Reebok. 

Baron Davis, retired NBA star and Miller want to buy Reebok from Adidas. There’s talk that the two could purchase the company for $2.4 billion.

Speaking to Forbes, Miller said, “As we focus on turning Reebok into a lifestyle brand not just a basketball brand, our most important initiative will be to put money back into the community that built this company.” 

The two aim to give smaller footwear companies a chance to be distributed by Reebok and offer a platform for African Americans to own a piece of the “athletic football and apparel pie.”

Adidas is looking to sell Reebok. It was over 15 years ago, Adidas bought the brand. But sales are down and many cite the coronavirus pandemic as the reason why it’s down. 

ANTA Sports and the VF Corporation which owns Timberlands, Vans and The North Face are trying to acquire Reebok as well.
