The U.S. said there was a massive cyberattack on government agencies and it hit targets outside its boundaries. 

The American government suspects the Russian Federation as the culprits. Many federal officials condemned the act but guess who didn’t?

Well he’s still whining about losing the election to President-elect Joe Biden.

Russia wants to undermine the U.S.

Biden is expected to have a tense relationship with Federation president Vladimir Putin. The Russian president has supported Trump. Putin was hoping a Trump reelection would further diminish America’s strength.

Microsoft confirmed that it notified 40 customers they were hit by malware. The malware could allow attackers unfettered network access.

The U.S.,Canada, the United Kingdom, Israel, Mexico, Spain, Belgium and the United Arab Emirates were targeted by the hackers. This could have been one of the most devastating cyberattacks in history.

The National Security Agency calls for vigilance to present unauthorized access to key military and civilian systems.

The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said government agencies, critical infrastructure entities, and private sector organizations had been targeted by the attack. 

Biden promised retaliation for the hack.

The Energy Department and National Nuclear Security Administration which maintains the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile, have evidence that the hackers accessed their networks as a part of an extensive espionage operation that spread for months.

They found suspicious activity in networks belonging to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Sandia and Los Alamos national laboratories in New Mexico and Washington, the Office of Secure Transportation at NNSA, and the Richland Field Office of the DOE.
