BLOGGER IS TRASH!
Again, the Karens are outrageous. The new meme for white people acting foolish in front of people of color. The white people who call the law on individuals minding their business.
The white people who feel entitled to take actions into their own hands. The white people who refuse to follow the rules when it applies to everyone.
The white people who accuse others of criminal acts all the while they’re doing it themselves.
Okay, this woman is facing scrutiny and possible criminal charges for lunging at a Black teen and his father. She accused the teen of stealing a phone. It turns out that she left it in an Uber vehicle and made a baseless accusation.
Now the video went viral and folks are trying to confirm if the woman is the one who posted on social media her stay at a hotel that the Black teen was staying at.
Keyon Harrold, Sr. is a Grammy-winning jazz singer. He and his son, Keyon, Jr. were staying at the Arlo Hotel in New York’s SoHo district when this woman wrongly accused the teen of stealing her phone.
The woman then attacks the teen while Harrold was filming on his phone.
“I don’t know what would have happened if my dad wasn’t there. These past few days, still kind of shell-shocked, but I’m hanging in there,” Keyon, Jr. said to GMA.
“For me I was confused because I had never seen that lady ever and I didn’t know what to do at the moment. That’s why I was happy to have my dad here to help me,” he said.
The video went viral and it forced the NYPD and Manhattan prosecutor’s office to investigate the matter.
My best friend’s son & his Dad were staying at @ArloHotels in Soho and decided to go downstairs for breakfast. They were assaulted by this KAREN, accusing their 14 y/o son of stealing her phone... that she later learned she’d left in an Uber. She must be penalized for this! 🤬 pic.twitter.com/YSjsIL7i0q

Join us in sending a clear message that hateful, racially motivated behavior is unacceptable. Email Manhattan DA Cy Vance Jr. and urge him to charge the woman who attacked Keyon Harrold Jr: https://t.co/yVEOt0xs5h

They got assistance from Benjamin Crump. He has been dealing with a string of high profile incidents in 2020 and has continued to pressure Congress to pass police reform.
The video didn’t show the aftermath of the incident. The woman would eventually get her phone returned by the Uber driver by the hotel manager.
Arlo Hotels apologized to Harrold and his family. They promise that incidents like that will never happen again.
“No Arlo guest --- or any person -- should be subject to this kind of behavior. We want to apologize to Mr. Harrold and his son for this inexcusable experience, and have reached out to them directly to express our sincere regret and to offer help in dealing with the traumatic event.”
The white woman will likely be banned from Arlo Hotels.
