Time Magazine named the Person of the Year.
They chose President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris as their choice for Person of the Year.
The former vice president and California senator will take the oath of office on January 20, 2001.
The two made history on November 7 when they beat President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. Trump joins the one term club. Trump is a former reality television star, real estate mogul and businessman. Trump ran for president in 2000, 2016 and 2020. He never served any public office but the presidency.
Pence was a former Indiana governor, former U.S. congressman and media personality. He will be a one term vice president. He and Dan Quayle are one term vice presidents from Indiana.
Biden will be the oldest serving president. He tried two other times to become the U.S. president and never succeeded. Biden was a U.S. senator and vice president. He will be the 46th President of the United States.
He was selected by Barack Obama in 2008 to become his vice president. Barack Obama became the first African American to be the President of the United States. He and Biden served from 2009 until 2017.
Obama only served less than four years before he became the U.S. President.
Harris will be the first woman to be the Vice President of the United States. She is the first Black woman. She is the first woman of South Asian and Caribbean descent to be the vice president. She is the first African American woman to become the vice president.

“For changing the American story, for showing that the forces of empathy are greater than the furies of division, for sharing a vision of healing in a grieving world, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are TIME’s 2020 Person of the Year,” wrote Time’s editor-in-chief Edward Felsenthal.
Bruce Springsteen introduced the two in the final segment.
With Trump trying to convince the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the results of the election, our country is more divided than ever.
Trump also is spreading baseless claims about Biden now that he sicced the Justice Department on Hunter Biden.
The coronavirus pandemic has killed 340,000 Americans and there is no end in sight. The vaccine will be out but it won’t be enough to cover millions of Americans. It will not bring back the thousands of people killed by this.
We have 20 million people infected by the coronavirus. Trump isn’t even concerned about this.
Trump deserved to lose. The Republicans who won their elections are going to get death threats and a wake up call. Folks ain’t gonna tolerate this bullshit much longer. With unemployment at record highs and folks losing their homes, Americans will send a message to the House and Senate in 2022.
Biden will likely have gridlock in 2021 and 2022. Democrats will have to win the Georgia run-off elections. to at least have a small chance of getting things done in Biden’s first 100 days.
