Elizabeth Warren endorses Biden. |
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has finally came out in support of the former vice president shortly after former president Barack Obama and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) endorsed him.
The Massachusetts senator along with Democrats are coalescing with Biden in their fight to stop Donald J. Trump and Republicans from destroying the country.
We are in a battle for the soul of this nation and I’m proud to have the fiercest of fighters, Senator @EWarren, on my side. With her help, we’re going to beat Donald Trump and create a government that works for everyone — not just the wealthy and well-connected. Let’s do this. https://t.co/X0G4AZta1S— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) April 15, 2020
In a video, Warren emphasized Biden's empathy and while saying leadership is better with Biden than with Trump.
"Empathy matters," Warren said.
Biden said that he will listen to Warren and Sanders on policies and vowed to pick a woman a running mate. Warren, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer, Stacey Abrams and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) are considered in the running.
In Warren's four-minute video, she made an appeal to progressives who have been wary of Biden to stop with the "purity tests."
"Among all the other candidates I competed with in the Democratic primary there is no one I agree with 100 percent of the time. But one thing I appreciate about Joe Biden is that he always tells you where he stands. When you disagree he'll listen and not just listen but hear you. He will treat you with respect. He's shown throughout this campaign that if you come up with facts or a good argument, he's not too afraid or too proud to be persuaded."
Warren held off her endorsement to Biden and Sanders until one of them finished off. Warren faced harsh attacks from the Bernie Bros, the remnants of Sanders supporters who are anarchists. They vow to not support Biden regardless of what he does.
Sanders denounced them. He also called out his former press secretary Briahna Joy Gray for encouraging folks to not vote this election.
Warren also said that we are in this together now more than ever.
"That's the thing about Joe. He wants you in the fight with him. And when you're in the fight with Joe at your side, you know you have a partner who is committed to getting something good done for this country. It's up to all of us to help make Joe Biden the next President of the United States. Let's get to work."
We need to unite and defeat Donald Trump. |
We need everyone.
Trump, Republicans, Fox News and the Russian Federation will waste no time trying to bring Biden down with manufactured controversies. While we are all suffering through the COVID-19 pandemic, it's important to know that Trump's handling of this crisis has seriously drained him and Republicans.
They hope that Americans with fickle memories will come out in favor of him instead of Biden.
DONALD J. TRUMP HAS A 53% CHANCE OF WINNING REELECTION.
We need to focus on winning the message war. We have to denounce Fox News and encourage voting by mail. With Republicans trying to stop early voting and the risk of the coronavirus making it harder for Americans to head to the polls, Republicans are counting on a low turnout and voter suppression to win.
We can't allow it. We need to get out to vote and show the world, we're not going to vote for that idiot twice.
