CBS Sacks God Friended Me!

CBS comedy-drama God Friended Me is cancelled.
The coronavirus pretty much grinded most television and movies to halt. American television programs are on standby due to the COVID-19. Many shows are ending their seasons early because they won't be able to film during the pandemic.

CBS has pulled the plug on "God Friended Me."

The comedy/drama series will abruptly end at season 2.

The series star Brandon Michael Hall confirmed that the series is ending. He spoke to TVLine about the cancellation.

"There's something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I'm not going to...work with them [every day]."

If they do revive God Friended Me, where should the series go to?

The series focused on the life of Miles Finer, an outspoken atheist and podcaster. He got a friend request from a person who went by the account name, "God." The account suggests new friends to Miles, people in his hometown of New York City, who require his assistance.

He meets a young woman named Cara who is a struggling magazine writer. Miles and Cara along with Rakesh try to solve the mystery of who "God" is and why did Miles got the request.

Warner Bros Television owns the rights to program and it could be revived on The CW or CW Seed if fans of the show push for a new network.





They've done with Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Last Man Standing, Lucifer, The Orville, Nashville and Futurama.

Besides Hall, there's Violett Beane, Suraj Sharma, Joe Morton , Javicia Leslie and Erica Gimpel.
