Stephanie Beatriz And James Monroe Iglehart Join DuckTales/Darkwing Duck!

Darkwing Duck is going to be in a full episode of DuckTales. It's giving speculation that Disney may reboot the 1990s animated series.
Disney's DuckTales is a hit animated series on The Disney Channel and Disney XD.

The series is a reboot of the 1980s animated series that lasted five seasons. It premiered in 2017 and is currently in its third season. It will also give life to another series that is likely coming to a full order.

In the coming days, the show will rollout its backdoor pilot for Darkwing Duck. It will be a very special episode of DuckTales and it will have a few special guest stars.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Stephanie Beatriz and Broadway actor James Monroe Iglehart will guest star in the one-hour Darkwing Duck episode, "Let's Get Dangerous."

Beatriz and Inglehart will voice two characters from the classic animated series.

Beatriz is appointed as Gosalyn Mallard and Inglehart is appointed as Taurus Bulba.
Darkwing Duck will meet his greatest adversary, Taurus Bulba.
The episode will air on October 19.

In the episode, it will give a background into Darkwing Duck. He will find an unlikely sidekick, Gosalyn, as he uncovers a dark conspiracy tied to the Missing Mysteries and one of Scrooge McDuck's employees after stopping a break-in at Scrooge's St. Canard Lab.

"To us, the original Darkwing Duck series was always about a father, a daughter and a Launchpad forming a found family and learning that family can ... get dangerous. We're so honored to get to complete that trio on DuckTales by introducing Gosalyn into the world of DuckTales," executive producer Matt Youngberg and co-executive producer and story editor Francisco Angones exclusively told ET. "Gosalyn is one of the most iconic Disney Afternoon heroes: fun-loving, trouble-making, endlessly driven with a fierce sense of justice And she's the only person who can keep Darkwing's sizable ego in check. So, we are incredibly lucky to have Stephanie Beatriz playing Gosalyn. Stephanie brings so much enthusiasm, heart and spirit to the role, honoring the original series while bringing the character to a new generation. With Stephanie on hand as Gosalyn, St. Canard is a little safer and Darkwing's life isa little fuller."
Welcome to the DuckTales family. Stephanie Beatriz and James Monroe Iglehart join the show as Gosalyn and Taurus Bulba.
"And along with Gosalyn, we had the chance to bring back the larger-than-life adversary who first brought Darkwing and Gosalyn together: Taurus Bulba. If Negaduck was Darkwing's Joker, Bulba was his Lex Luthor. Reinvented as a charming but ruthless businessman with mysterious ties to Gosalyn's family, Bulba holds the key to some of the biggest mysteries the DUck family will face this season," Youngberg and Angones teases. "And James Monroe Iglehart captures the perfect blend of friendliness that can turn into menace on a dime. Also, James' love of the original series may rival our own; he always wore a Darkwing T-shirt to record. It is a testament to James' abilities as an actor that he could love Darkwing Duck so much yet so thoroughly convince you that he wants him dead."

Darkwing Duck (Drake Mallard) will be voiced by Chris Diamantopoulos. Launchpad McQuack will be voice by Beck Bennett. Gizmoduck (Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera) will be voiced by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Darkwing Duck was originally launched in the Fall of 1991. It starred Jim Cummings as Darkwing Duck. The series was on syndication and ABC for three seasons. It has the voices of Terry McGovern as Launchpad and the late Christine Cavanaugh as Goselyn. It lasted through 93 episodes.

Cummings made an appearance on DuckTales as Jim Starling (TV's Darkwing Duck/NegaDuck).
