Busta Rhymes drops his long awaited sequel to the Extinction Level Event.

The 1998 album Extinction Level Event: The Final Front was one of the best album I’ve heard in a long ass time. It was a masterpiece.

It was a play on the “end of the world.” It debuted at number twelve on the US Billboard 200 album chart and remained on the chart for 32 weeks.

This album was nominated for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.

He made a cult classic hit, “What’s It Gonna Be?!” which became one of the standout hits on his album.

The album had features from The Flipmode Squad, Mystikal, Janet Jackson and Ozzy Osbourne.

The album had production from Busta Rhymes, DJ Scratch, Deric “D-Dot” Angelettie (aka Madd Rapper), Darrell “Delite” Allamby, Haas G, Kenny “Flav” Dickerson, Nashiem Myrick, Diamond D, Armando Colon, Rashad Smith, Rockwilder, Jamal, Swizz Betz, Nottz and DJ Mr. Stanneke.

Trevor G. Smith, Jr. is an American rapper, musician, record producer, media personality and actor. He is one of the most notable fast-tongue lyricists. Besides Busta Rhymes, there’s Twista, Tech 9ine, Eminem, Bone Thugs ‘N Harmony, Three Six Mafia, Yelawolf and R.A. The Rugged Man.

The sequel E.L.E. 2 (Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God) is the tenth studio album.

It is released on Conglomerate (formerly Flipmode) Records and Empire Records, LLC.

The album has 22-tracks and a long list of guests and production credits. Busta Rhymes, Nottz and Rockwilder are the executive producers of this album.

Busta Rhymes is one of the fastest rappers in hip-hop.

The production comes not only from Busta Rhymes but also Nottz, Rockwilder, Avenue, Swizz Beatz, the late J Dilla, Pete Rock, Dready, Focus the A.R.M., DJ Scratch, DJ Premier, Hi-Tek, Terrace Martin, Anderson Paak, Schife, 9th Wonder, Rick Rock and Navi Beats.

This album was done during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bussa Buss, also spent time trying to curb the carbs while working on the album. The rapper had admitted that he faced depression and it led to him overeating and not taking care of himself. He at one point was weighing in at over 300 lbs.

So he worked out and started eating healthy. He lost over 100 lbs and is trying to get his body back to the muscles.

“I came from a time where it was extremely important to garner respect of the elder statesmen,” said Busta Rhymes in an interview. “A lot of motherfuckers running around complaining, talking shit about what these new dudes is doin’, but the question really is what is you older dudes doing to help the new dudes? Outside of popping and shit and being mad at them all the time for what they not doing that you feel they need to do.”

Busta showed off his weight loss on social media.

As a member of the Five Percent Nation, Busta Rhymes practices as a Sunni Muslim. He has three sons and three daughters.

He was a featured guest on the recent episodes of The Masked Singer as The Dragon.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Geraldine Green and Trevor Smith, Sr. two immigrants from Jamaica. He grew up in Uniondale, New York and spent a few years in England when he was a child. He came back to the United States and attended the Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School in Brooklyn with future rappers, the late Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace and Shawn C. Carter aka Jay-Z.

Busta Rhymes getting back in shape.

He was a member of the Leaders of the New School. He left the group and founded the Flipmode Squad with Spliff Star and Rampage. He also is credited for bringing in female MC and media personality Rah Digga to the fold.

Busta Rhymes is one of my favorite rappers. He is an iconic member of the Brooklyn Class and continues to keep it honest.

If you’re aware of his movie credits, I advise you to watch John Singleton’s Higher Learning with Ice Cube, Michael Rapaport, Omar Epps and Tyra Banks.
