We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough. . . We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital.  But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack.  So he will always be Jack to us.  Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever. . . To our Jack - I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive.  We will always love you. . . Thank you to everyone who has been sending us positive energy, thoughts and prayers.  We feel all of your love and truly appreciate you. . . We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience.  But everyday can’t be full of sunshine.  On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it.

The model/celebrity agitator shared on social media that she suffered a miscarriage while in the hospital. There is a solemn black-and-white photo of Chrissy crying in a hospital bed on social media, along with the following message: "We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and gave our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn't enough."

"We never decided on our babies' names until the last possible moment after they're born, just before we leave the hospital," Teigen said. "But we, for some reason had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be part of our little family, and he will be, forever. To our Jack -- I'm so sorry for the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn't give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you."

She added, "We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we've been able to experience. But everyday can't be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But will will hug and love each other harder and get through it."

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Democratic vice presidential nominee weighed in.

Teigen was recently hospitalized for severe bleeding during her pregnancy and revealed their baby boy was in the "danger zone."

John and Chrissy made the surprise pregnancy announcement when he released his music video for the song "Wild" in August ... revealing a pregnant Teigen at the end.

A miscarriage is the spontaneous loss of a woman's pregnancy before the 20th week that can be both physically and emotionally painful.

The most common type of pregnancy loss, miscarriages often occur because the fetus isn't developing normally.

Symptoms include fluid, blood, or tissue passing from the vagina and pain in the belly or lower back. It’s also common to feel sadness or grief.

Unfortunately, the miscarriage process can't be reversed once it has started. However, medications or procedures such as a dilation and curettage can prevent certain types of complications. In addition, counseling and support is widely available.
