Three central characters from The Simpsons. Flanders, Mr. Burns and Principal Skinner. They were voiced by comedian/talk radio host Harry Shearer. He announced on social media that he's bouncing from the show.
This comes as a major blow to the long running animated sitcom.
Harry Shearer, the voice of twelve central characters on The Simpsons announced that he's departing before the next season.Show producer Al Jean stated that they're working on solutions to this. But if Harry doesn't want to continue, they press on.
The remaining cast signed on for extended contracts that continue them into Season 29.
Dan Castellaneta (Homer, Krusty the Clown, Kudos and others)
Julie Kavner (Marge, Patti and Selma)
Nancy Cartwright (Bart, Nelson, Ralph and Maggie)
Yeardley Smith (Lisa)
Hank Azaria (Apu, Chief Wiggim, Moe, Karl and others)
Harry is best known for playing Flanders, Mr. Burns, Smithers, Rainier Wolfcastle, Kent Brockman, Scratchy, Dr. Hibbert, Lenny, Otto, Rev. Lovejoy, alien Kane and Principal Seymour Skinner.
With Harry stepping down, it may have imploded The Simpsons.
Fox greenlights The Simpsons for two more seasons. The sitcom established in 1987 has been a focal for the struggling Fox network. This along with Family Guy, Bob's Burgers and the now cancelled Animation Domination Saturday were the only animated shows on a major network.
These are adult cartoons. You can't forget that.
Harry Shearer contributes to The Simpsons, The Huffington Post and hosts Le Show.
But they have a strong following among young and old. Back in the 1990s the George H.W. Bush years, The Simpsons were target one for the Family Research Council, Bill Cosby, Tipper Gore and C. Delores Tucker. Many criticized the focal characters Homer and Bart as bad role models to the American family.
The Simpsons survived 573 episodes. The sitcom has nosedive throughout the years. When it was introduced in 1987 it started with a mere 2 million viewers. Then they moved it to Thursday at 8pm. During the 1988 to 1996 years The Simpsons seen its ratings in the 12 millions.
Since the movie, the sitcom has declined in quality and often times have become repetitive and boring. Even I must admit some of the episodes were sleepers (i.e. boring).
Harry Shearer is also a contributor to The Huffington Post and is the host of Le Show, a political talk and satire program. He is a comedian, musician, author, and jack of all trades.
He was the co-writer and producer of cult rock comedy This is Spinal Tap.
The central figure of many characters of The Simpsons is leaving. Harry Shearer departure hits the long running sitcom.
Fox continues with Empire, New Girl, Bones, Gotham, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, Last Man on Earth, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Sleepy Hollow.
American Idol will end after Season 16. Glee ends gracefully.
Weird Loners, Backstrom, The Following, Red Band Society, Mulaney, Utopia were cut from the list.
It's coming to an end for the world's longest running animated sitcom.
Do you believe that Harry's departure will certainly end the sitcom?
Here's one from Hulu/YouTube. The Tree House of Terror episode where Skinner is planning on eating Bart and Lisa.
The cop's excuse for killing an unarmed man is the fact he was high on the "shrooms". The cop who killed Tony Robinson walks and the family gets no closure.
Cue Fred 101.....
He and many of our friends on the racist right will automatically assume that because Tony was on drugs, had a few run-ins with law enforcement and the cop used "proper" judgement, he deserved to die.
The Dane County state prosecutor stated that the officer who shot and killed Tony Robinson acted in self-defense and is not going to be charged.
Madison cop Matt Kenny shot and killed unarmed Tony Robinson in March.
As usual the cops release a statement to why they used deadly force on the suspect. Robinson who did have a share of minor run ins got taken to the cleaners by the racist right.
After all a few minor misdemeanors is like him robbing a bank and taking hostages.
Tony Robinson's death touched the nation.
The Huffington Post reports Kenny shot the 19-year-old inside an apartment near the Wisconsin state Capitol on March 6. Police said the officer was responding to calls that the biracial teen was running in and out of traffic, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. According to Dane County district attorney Ismael Ozanne, Kenny said Robinson struck him on the side of his head and knocked him into the wall. Police also said they later received reports alleging that Robinson had assaulted two other people.
No charges for Matt Kenny, officer who shot Tony.
Ozanne said that marijuana, Xanax and psychedelic mushrooms were found in Robinson's system.
Shortly after the district attorney’s announcement, the Wisconsin Department of Justice released its report, which similarly suggested that Robinson’s allegedly erratic behavior could be explained by the use of ‘shrooms.
Shortly after the district attorney’s announcement, the Wisconsin Department of Justice released its report, which similarly suggested that Robinson’s allegedly erratic behavior could be explained by the use of ‘shrooms.
Robinson's death sparked protests in Madison, and hundreds of people attended his funeral in mid-March.
On Tuesday, Chris Ahmuty, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin, criticized the decision not to file charges as leaving a "cloud of uncertainty" over the circumstances of and responsibility for Robinson's death.
"If Officer Kenny did not violate the law, then is anyone legally responsible for Mr. Robinson's death?" Ahmuty said in a statement. "Does the criminal law protect individuals like Mr. Robinson from deadly force exercised by police officers? Are police officers above the law?"
Ahmuty also called for greater transparency from the police. "Furthermore, what will the Madison Police Department do to ensure that Madison police officers stop killing unarmed individuals, when they have killed three people in the past 11 months? The MPD needs to find ways to hold officers accountable, so that they will know there will be consequences for their actions," he said.
Okay, where's that jackass Milwaukee sheriff David Clark?
I bet you money the sheriff has something to say about Tony Robinson. I bet Clark will call him a "no good punk" and the Black community needs to shut the "well you know" up.
black-ish deals with a family member coming out as a Republican.
ABC sitcom featuring Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross takes on Black conservatism.
black-ish is a go for a second season. The show is one of the very few Black sitcoms on right now.
It was created by Anderson, Kenya Barris, Laurence Fishburne and Larry Wilmore.
black-ish, Fresh off the Boat and Cristela were ABC freshman sitcoms that featured a diverse family.
In the end, two survived the cut. Cristela was cancelled.
black-ish is still strong despite a slight drop in ratings. Mostly due to the Fox juggernaut Empire hitting the 9pm spot. Modern Family and black-ish had strong lead ins before Empire took to the scene.
The cast of black-ish, a hit comedy on ABC.
In this episode, it certainly pokes fun at the Republican Party and Black conservatives. Even a jab at that cable news channel that scares White folks.
It also gives you an idea of Black voters and their support of the Democratic Party. The Republican Party still has trouble cracking over 20% of the vote. The party is struggling to pull in Black and Hispanic voters.
Stallmigos Ted Cruz (R-TX), Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Benjamin Carson are non-White candidates.
Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal may declare his intentions. Another non-White candidate.
Carly Fiorina is a woman. A woman who is running besides Hillary Clinton.
But yet, they're not even appealing to Black voters.
In the words of black-ish: Republicans! We Just Don't Do That!
Reason you may ask!
The Republican Party comes off as condescending assholes. They don't understand the struggle. Even though many Black Americans are struggling with jobs, education and a sense of pride, the Black community continues to put their trust in the Democratic Party. The Democrats believe in the middle class, fairness and a leg up. They encourage hard work for equal pay and time off.
Many believe that the rich should pay a little more in taxes because it's the driving factor to why the middle class is shrinking. That's probably why Obama mentioned this during his Georgetown University speech.
Dre and Bow meet Junior's girlfriend's parents. They find out they're Black Republicans.
Republicans can say that Obama hasn't done anything for Black America. They are right. I mean he's got the My Brother's Keeper policy and it's hardly being mentioned by the junk food media.
He's proposed many ideas that would certainly help the middle class. The minimum wage, fair labor practices, banning non-gender/sexuality/criminal history hiring policies and an infrastructure bill were on the docket.
This stuff is stalled with a Republican congress. They're too busy trying to ban late term abortion and allowing a Canadian conglomerate to build a pipeline through the Midwest.
Republicans will say Obama's doing too much for Black America whenever he speaks on issues facing Black America. And for the record, it's been going on for over 50 years, it doesn't seem like it's going to change in the seven years of Obama's presidency nor in the years to come.
The first thing that comes out of the mouth of a Republican is the past. They can't admit that the Democratic Party changed its ways. The political party nominated twice the first Black candidate for president.
Second, many successful and failed Democratic nominees pull over 90% of the Black vote.
Republicans make race an issue now that Barack Obama wanted to run. They believe that passing restrictive voting measures may prevent those from voting on race, gender, and political affiliations.
They believe that Blacks are committing voter fraud and the such.
Yeah, Blacks are proud that we got the first and we're not ashamed to vote for Obama.
Republicans offer nothing of interest to the Black community.
In the minds of most Republicans and conservatives, they see Black people as criminals, lazy, immoral and believe race is over in America. Conservatives expects us to owe them for 159 years of their past Republican policies. Note the Republicans of yesterday are the Democrats today. The Democrats of yesterday are the Republicans now.
The Republican Party is like cocaine. It's 90% WHITE 10% EVERYTHING else.
This episode, Elephant in the Room is dealing with Dre (Andre) and (Rainbow) Bow's oldest son Junior joining the Young Republicans club. This revelation shocks the family.
Junior joins a political party club because of his views on issues and he's trying to win affection from a hot girl who is a member. Dre and Bow meet Junior's new girl's family. And things gone terribly wrong.
Bumper Robinson plays a Black Republican father.
In a separate segment, oldest daughter Zoey gets a pair of glasses. And her younger siblings Jack and Diane hate the fact that she's getting more attention for wearing them.
It also features a clip of Real Time with Bill Maher.
The comedy series will rile up conservatives. Because of the liberal views of the characters and it certainly mocks Republicans notably Benjamin Carson, the only Black candidate so far running in the clown car.
The cast of black-ish was there for the White House Corespondents Dinner.
There's a mad-on resentment against Michelle Obama by white America. Moreso than her husband. They resent the fact that Mrs. Obama challenge the "aesthetic supremacy" of white women and they resent that deeply. They feel that Mrs. Obama doesn't belong in the White House period. White entitlement and supremacy knows no end. Here's an article from Media Matters condemning Rush Limbaugh's slandering of First Lady Michelle Obama: ________________________________________________________________________________
Media Call Out Rush Limbaugh For Racially Charged Attacks On Michelle Obama
By ALEXANDREA BOGUHN
The conservative radio host attacked Michelle Obama this week for her reference to racial disparities in access to education opportunities like museums during a speech at the April 30 dedication of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City. Obama praised the Whitney's inaugural exhibit for its attempt to capture the range of cultures that have contributed to American art and called it "particularly powerful for our young people" because it shows them that "their story is part of the American story, and that they deserve to be seen." Such engagement is important, Obama said, because "there are so many kids in this country who look at places like museums and concert halls and other cultural centers and they think to themselves, well, that's not a place for me, for someone who looks like me, for someone who comes from my neighborhood."
Limbaugh accused Obama of claiming "museums are for white people" and of using the speech to "widen the racial gap." Calling her an "angry First Lady" who wants to "rip this country apart," Rush went on to suggestthat black people simply didn't appreciate museums because they are "not in their cultural upbringing."
Media figures are now blasting Limbaugh for the racist attacks.
The Washington Post's Richard Cohen declared that Limbaugh criticized Obama "for the sin of being black." "The way he looks at it," Cohen wrote, "Obama is not entitled to her experiences, certainly not to talk about it," going on: "[J]ust as Eleanor Roosevelt articulated the experiences and plight of the poor as well as racial and ethnic minorities, so does Michelle Obama articulate the black experience. If that sometimes makes others uncomfortable, it damn well should."
Similarly, The New York Times' Charles Blow blasted Rush and explained how Obama's thoughts on the diversity of museum visitors "was right," pointing to a 2010 report by the Center for the Future of Museums that found "historic patterns of segregation and exclusion as one reason that fewer African-American families instill museum-going habits in their young children." Blow called out Limbaugh for trying to paint "the Obamas as failed racial messiahs at best, and active racial agitators at worst":
But for Limbaugh, this wasn't about museum attendance at all. It was simply another opportunity to excrete the tired banalities about the Obamas as failed racial messiahs at best, and active racial agitators at worst.
[...]
Obama's sin, using [Rush's] line of logic, is that he failed to undo the system of oppression that he had no hand in constructing. It is that 400 years of damage was not undone in two terms. It is that he didn't encourage silence about inequity so that its benefactors could enjoy the cumulative fruit of centuries of racial graft without current-day guilt.
They wanted some mythical receipt of satisfaction of the debt. Let bygones be bygones. All is forgotten and forgiven. Clean slate. Fresh start.
If only it were that simple. But it's not. This whole line of reasoning is racial claptrap.
Such increasing focus on Limbaugh's racially charged attacks coincides with growing advertising woes for the radio host, who has been seeing advertisers flee from his program since his multi-day attack on then-law student Sandra Fluke. Just last month, Emmis Communications announced it was dropping Limbaugh's broadcast from its WIBC lineup, which had aired the radio program for 22 years.
The president says that the network that scares White people is attacking the poor.
President Barack Obama dings the nut farm again. And yes, he meant what he said.
What got the folks pissed over at that cable news channel that scares White people is the remarks that Obama said at a summit on poverty at Georgetown University.
The president stated that network spends more time bashing the poor than focusing on the reasons to why it's still a struggle despite an improving economy.
He says that network would cherry pick the one aspect of society saying they don't want to work but earn entitlements. The network would ignore the vast majority of the working poor who work one or two jobs to at least pay bills and put food on the table.
It didn't take long before the nut farm got riled up over it. Trust me, the racist right views that network regularly and they have nothing but hate towards the poor and the president.
The internet is a place where sexual predators find their victims.
This one hits close to home. I know this man who's going to federal time out. I'm shocked.
I am not surprised either.
Keegan Sipe, 31 lives Dayton, Ohio. He was caught up in a federal case in which he was scoping the social networks and Craigslist for some XXX. He engages a conversation with a man who is willing to sell his two daughters for sex. He and the man agreed to a meet up in Columbus.
Sipe went to Columbus. Once he got out of his vehicle the law drew their service weapons on him.
His conversation was with undercover cop. The Columbus Police, Secret Service and FBI set up a sting operation in which it would net sexual predators.
Once busted, the federal court ordered an immediate search of his computer and phone. They found the incriminating things that earned him a trip to federal time out.
Sipe pleaded guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Columbus to attempted coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in unlawful sexual activity.
Sipe's attorney declined to comment Wednesday.
Prosecutors say Sipe was arrested after meeting an undercover officer he believed was a father arranging for Sipe to have sex with his 10- and 14-year-old daughters.
According to court documents, in December 2014, Sipe attempted to persuade an individual via the Internet to engage in sexual activity with females, Investigators discovered an advertisement on Craigslist soliciting a “taboo mother and daughter” that stated, “Get with me if you and daughter would like to have some fun. Kinky and taboo age no matter.”
When an undercover investigator responded to the advertisement, Sipe engaged in conversation with the law enforcement official. He believed the investigator was a father arranging for Sipe to meet with his two minor daughters to engage in sexual activity.
On December 20, 2014, Sipe arranged to meet the undercover officer in the Bob Evans parking lot in Hilliard, Ohio. Upon his arrival, he was taken into custody.
The parties involved in this case have agreed to a 10-year prison sentence for Sipe.
The Franklin County ICAC Task Force is a multi-agency effort dedicated to the fight against computer facilitated crimes against children.
Authorities say both sides agreed to recommend a 10-year prison sentence.
Carter M. Stewart, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, Upper Arlington Police Chief Brian Quinn, Marlon Miller, Special Agent in Charge, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and other members of the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, announced the plea entered before U.S. District Judge Michael H. Watson.
He's going to a federal time out.
He will automatically be labeled TIER III. He will have to register with the locality for the rest of his life. He may face state charges if necessary.
He will be sent to either FCI Petersburg or USP Marion.
We're human first. Everything else last. But in this world, when your desires to be wanted, loved and sexually gratified, you take risky moves.
I am guilty as every other man and woman out there. I am reclusive and I am computer savvy. I am single and have been through heartbreak and disappointment. I know that I am looking for a relationship but in no rush for it.
But in no way I will date any person under 18 years old. Women who are 16 to 20 are considered "jail bait" in the minds of rational. But men who are in their older years end up meeting them, exploit them and rape them. And this may lead to the sexual exploitation and human trafficking of minors.
This is why the U.S. Department of Justice puts hammers on the sexual predators. You can get LIFE in the iron college if you're charged in three things (in relation to felonious sex crimes).
Human trafficking in sexual exploitation
Drug trafficking (slavery and exploitation)
Child porn
Which one did he get? Obviously he's not a pimp or a drug lord. Option three is what got him.
One of the proposed designs for the Barack Obama Presidential Library. It's confirmed to be in Chicago.
President Barack Obama's presidential library is going to built in Chicago on the South Side.
It was announced by the Obama Foundation that the Obama Presidential Library and Center is going to be in his hometown. A site for the library within the city is yet to be chosen. The decision is between Jackson Park and Washington Park, both located on Chicago's South Side.
Wondering how the conservatives are going to react to it? Obviously they'll send that stupid picture of a open stall parade float as an example of what it should be.
Given the seven years of Barack Obama's presidency, one could wonder if the next president will suffer given that toxic environment his opponent set up.
Say if a Republican becomes the next president. Expect the Democrats to oppose everything the Republican president sponsors.
Expect the hostile reactions from liberal activists, talk radio radio agitators and bloggers.
They will double time on the Republican. The liberals are so pissed with Republicans and conservatives right now.
From the nasty emails being shared on social media, the downright stupidity, the Islamophobia, the anti-choice, anti-gay, anti-Black, anti-immigrant, the climate change denial and the constant attempts to repeal the healthcare law, liberals have had enough.
What will Obama do after leaving the White House?
Expect MSNBC to become the new Loserville. Fox News will eventually continue its reign as the number one cable news channel. But once a Republican gets in, the agitators will automatically single the network as a mouthpiece for the Republican president.
We know the cable news channel scares White folks with stories about Obama. Wonder what will happen once he gets out of office?
They will bring up Obama's name when a domestic attack happens long after he left the White House?
Will we have a terrorist attack on homeland again and they'll automatically blame Obama or plead to the public to not blame the Republican president. They will ask for unity instead of partisan blame.
But if another event happens in America during the final two years of Obama, will it automatically be partisan despite the president's calls for unity.
I am just wondering if the public is interested in the 2016 presidential contenders. Most of them are uninspiring to me. They don't have the magic. Barack Obama's campaigns were inspiring.
To get two landslide victories, millions of followers, hundreds of critics, and being the first Black man to lead our nation is historic.
To have Hillary Clinton, Stallmigos Ted Cruz (R-TX), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Rand Paul (R-KY), Ben Carson, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee and others jump into this is not inspiring. None of them have the experience or the temperament to run a country.
Hillary and Jeb Bush come from political families. The junk food media is so obsessed with the legacies of George W. Bush and Bill Clinton. They're obsessed with guilt-by-association.
Sanders is too far to the left. He and not running Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) are too extreme for most. Although the policies are good but it's not a perfect fit to a moderately right nation.
Paul is a repeat of his father's failed campaigns.
Rubio and Cruz are just too damn stupid to run. They will face birth certificate and immigrant slander.
Huckabee, Fiorina and Carson are the candidates from that network that scares White people. They're just agitators who use their non-experience as a strategy.
Republican governors John Kasich (OH), Scott Walker (WI), Bobby Jindal (LA) and Chris Christie (NJ) are seasoned. They're too controversial and a liability because of their views on social issues.
Martin O'Malley, Lincoln Chafee, and Jim Webb are blips on the radar. They could be crushed by Hillary Clinton.
The contenders are weak.
If Obama could run a third term?
Too damn bad. The 22nd Amendment prevents this. The president is only allowed to serve two terms.
Famed model Amber Rose spotted with rapper Machine Gun Kelly.
Cleveland rapper and producer Machine Gun Kelly confirms he's dating model Amber Rose. They've been dating for a few months now and the junk food media is talking about it.
Despite her ex-husband Wiz Khalifa pleading to get back together, the marriage is over and Amber Rose wants someone who can be there for her and her son.
Enter Machine Gun Kelly. The Cleveland rapper who had collaborated with Wiz Khalifa is now budding a romance with his ex-wife.
They spent Mother's Day together.
Machine Gun Kelly (born Richard Baker and is most commonly referred as MGK or Kellz) has been a rising figure in the hip-hop game. He signed to Bad Boy Records and recorded his national debut Lace Up. He's working on his second album on Bad Boy and his EST19XX label.
Sharing the bud....and the woman.
This comes as no surprise that Wiz had recorded Mind of a Stoner with Kellz. Damn it's like the bro code is broken. They worked together, smoke together, fuck the same woman.
I see how Kanye West felt when he and Wiz beefed over Amber. Now I am guessing Kellz and Wiz will smoke a joint and diss each other.
Rose filed divorce papers in September 2014 after a little more than a year of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
IBT reports that Wiz and Amber spent time together with their two-year-old son Sebastian as a family over Easter, many believed the married couple were back on track.
Now, Wiz is said to have released a song detailing his heartbreak following the end of their marriage, with lyrics including: "Thought I had it, all the magic I could imagine, then it all went tragic, automatically I'm the bad one, I was only doing us.
"I gave you everything, a kid and a house, and a wedding ring, and now you talkin' 'bout how you could do better things."
Kellz has a daughter with his former girl. The rapper expressed his love for his child, Cassie.
So do you believe in the bro code?
The bro code is a pop theme created by How I Met Your Mother. Cater Bays and Craig Thomas created the term for Neil Patrick Harris who played womanizer Barney Stinson.
The code is an etiquette for men to follow. It's similar to M.O.B. (Money over Bitches).
First Lady Michelle Obama address the class of 2015 and tells them that life outside of college could be determined by how you are. She encourages Americans to ignore the noise that creates the sense of distrust.
The racist right will seize on this.
First Lady Michelle Obama delivers commencement speeches at universities and the one at Tuskegee University will certainly have the partisan agitators pissed off.
Cue the conservative outrage.
The first lady told the graduating class about how she and President Barack Obama were treated during the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections.
They overcame the ongoing partisan (and racist) attacks and continue to show restraint in the face of continuous obstruction. What makes it so good it's singles out some partisan agitators in the media particularly. One being a turd flipper, another being an old fart and the last one being an annoying conservative agitator. Each of these individuals aimed their venom at the First Lady and her husband President Barack Obama.
The racist right can't stand them. No matter what is said by the president, the first lady and Vice President Joe Biden, the agitators and their allies who make up the racist right will seize upon it as an attack on them.
First Lady Michelle Obama aims at these agitators as the noise. She tells a graduating class to ignore them and press forward.
"As potentially the first African-American first lady, I was also the focus of another set of questions and speculations, conversations sometimes rooted in the fears and misperceptions of others," she told the class of 2015. "Was I too loud or too emasculating? Or was I too soft? Too much of a mom and not enough of a career woman?"
CNN reports the first lady responds to the outrageous criticism by the New Yorker and that cable news channel that scares White folks (via that annoying conservative agitator).
"Then there was the first time I was on a magazine cover. It was a cartoon drawing of me with a huge afro and a machine gun. Now, yeah, it was satire, but if I'm really being honest, it knocked me back a bit. It made me wonder 'just how are people seeing me?'"
In her nearly 30-minute speech, the first lady recalled other particularly tough moments, including being referred to on that cable news network that scares White folks as her "husband's crony of color" and "Obama's baby mama." She also recalled a moment on the campaign trail when she gave her husband a fist bump to celebrate a primary win, later to be referred to by an anchor on that network as a "terrorist fist jab."
Truth be told, there's been a lot of nasty stuff being thrown at the first Black presidential family.
Never a dull moment for the world's most hated man.
When that annoying conservative agitator tells him to stay out of the limelight, I am guessing that even he's getting tired of hearing about his old buddy George Zimmerman.
The man who was acquitted of the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin was shot and fairly injured by a man who pointed his firearm at him.
Lake Mary, Florida police have a suspect and he's talking.
The law said it stemmed from a road rage incident.
Zimmerman is a controversial figure given the numerous incidents since his acquittal. He can't catch a break. Despite the limelight, Zimmerman continues to do controversial stunts.
The junk food media reports that this incident happened around 12:45 pm. Zimmerman lives in Lake Mary and he claims that he was hanging out with his family. He claims that he was followed by another driver behind him in a commercial plaza who he recognized as the guy (Apperson) he got into it with earlier. Zimmerman took a U-turn and tried to flee. A bullet hits the right of his Honda Ridgeline.
This guy who fired upon him claims that Zimmerman started this. Zimmerman allegedly threatened to kill this man. The Lake Mary police identify the man as Matthew Apperson. This may be the same guy who may have shot Zimmerman. They been going at it for months. Since late 2014, Zimmerman and Apperson have exchanged threats and firearms.
Zimmerman was grazed in the face by a bullet and shattering glass. He was taken to a hospital and was treated for his injuries. He was released today.
Zimmerman is a concealed carry permit user. He denied being an instigator of this event.
But in the blame game, the agitators would find some reason to attack the president. When American citizens are gunned down by callous individuals, the president comments on it. The president is passionate about the issues in America. He has a right to say whatever he wants. But for the agitators, no matter what he says, the agitators will dissect it and make it into some political blame game.
Today, we have a tragedy.
In the city of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the community is in mourning. Two officers were gunned down by callous murderers. The routine pull over on Saturday became a deadly situation.
A veteran officer and a first year officer were gunned down after one of the passengers open fire on them. Benjamin Deen, 34, and Liquori Tate, 24 were the victims of this tragedy.
We here at World News Today send our condolences to the families of Hattiesburg officers Benjamin Deen and Liquori Tate and NYPD officer Brian Moore.
The Jackson Clarion-Ledger reports that the suspects were quickly caught. They are facing charges for capital murder and obstruction of justice.
Marvin Banks, Joanie Calloway, and Curtis Banks were put in county lockup. Cornelius Clark was also busted in this crime.
Authorities arrested Curtis Banks, 26, and Marvin Banks, 29, and Joanie Calloway, 22, early Sunday morning. They were taken to Troop J of the Mississippi Highway Patrol, where they were to be questioned by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
Cornelius Clark in lockup.
Cornelius Clark, age unavailable, was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with obstruction of justice, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesman Warren Strain said.
Marvin Banks and Calloway have been charged with two counts each of capital murder, and Curtis Banks is charged with two counts of accessory after the fact to capital murder.
Marvis Banks was convicted of possession of stolen property in Forrest County in 2010, according to Mississippi Department of Corrections records. He was sentenced in November 2010 to one year and one day to serve, with four years of probation.
His probation was revoked, and he started a three-year sentence that ended in June 2012, when he was freed from custody on earned release supervision. That ended in May 2014.
Both Marvin and Curtis Banks were charged with the sale of crack cocaine in July 2013, according to Forrest County arrest records.
At this point, authorities are not discussing the motive. They said interviews with the suspects are ongoing. Toxicology tests are also pending.
Residents were very upset over this. Hattiesburg haven't seen a law enforcement officer killing in over 30 years.
"Never in my life have I experienced or seen anything like this except on TV, and to be in the midst of it, it's shocking and heartbreaking," Tamika Mills said. "As we were coming down Fourth Street, we noticed a bunch of lights. As we came on through, (Pearnell Roberts) told me to turn around because she saw somebody laying on the ground.
They heard the shooting and checked on the situation. They called 9-1-1.
"So I backed up. That's when we noticed the officer was down. We just saw that one, but in the course of me being on the phone with 9-1-1, I turned and I saw another officer across the street rolling on the ground. (Roberts) ran across the street to check on him. He wasn't all the way alert but he asked her, 'Am I dying? I know I'm dying. Just hand me my walkie-talkie.'"
This community is sadden by this. We are determined to bring those to justice. The words of Hattiesburg mayor Johnny DuPree are felt across the nation.
Hattiesburg Mayor Johnny DuPree spoke from the hospital after the shooting, asking for prayers and telling the public that the suspects would be found.
"The men and women who go out every day to protect us, the men and woman who go out every day to make sure that we're safe, they were turned on (Saturday) night," DuPree said during a brief news conference outside the hospital. "But the person or persons who did this are not safe in the City of Hattiesburg."
Multiple law enforcement agencies swarmed to the scene between Gordon Street and East Fourth Street, crisscrossing throughout the fringes of downtown.
Strain said the three are being held in different locations outside of Forrest County, which is routine in a situation like this.
Gov. Phil Bryant, a former law enforcement officer himself, commented on the deaths on Sunday morning.
"Deborah and I join all Mississippians this morning in mourning the death of our two police officers in Hattiesburg. This should remind us to thank all law enforcement for their unwavering service to protect and serve. May God keep them all in the hollow of his hand."
It is the first slaying of a Hattiesburg officer since Jackie Dole Sherrill was killed on New Year's Eve in 1984.
So Joanie Calloway, Cornelius Clark, Marvin and Curtis Banks were charged with capital murder and obstruction of justice. Mind you that the shooter and those associated are innocent until proven guilty.
In criminal law, even though the person who fired on law enforcement was the sole shooter, those who didn't stop the shooter, hid the shooter in the wake of a manhunt and aided the shooter's injuries instead of the victims are considered murderers. That's why there's three others involved.
They didn't stop the shooter. They aided the shooter. They treated the shooter's injuries and hid evidence. That's obstruction of justice. That's murder in the eyes of law enforcement.
But in the wake of two officers being killed, who are they really going to blame for the death of the lawmen?
Two Words: BARACK OBAMA.
You know in the wake of the Freddie Gray murder by law enforcement, the partisan agitators have sought to discredit the BlackLivesMatter movement. The agitators must find some tangent issue in America to discredit Freddie Gray, Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin and Tamir Rice.
Today, they find the death of two officers in Mississippi.
Fast food worker was fired out the cannon after she posted on her social media about the controversy. She praised the killers.
Nobody is calling for the killing of cops. Those in law enforcement must endure a daily routine where their lives are on the line 24/7. I don't condone the killing of law enforcement.
Never mind, a Subway restaurant worker from Laurel, Mississippi posted on the social media about it. She was happy that they were killed. She was let go after that posting. Some of her co-workers tipped off the bosses. And while she's entitled to her opinion, the junk food media will use this an excuse to discredit the peaceful protesters who call for justice against police brutality and more police training for those using firearms.
But we also need reasonable gun control as well. To prevent this from happening we need to look into how individuals obtain illegal firearms. We must shut the door on unregistered firearms.
Nobody is immune from the firearm.
Understand that the bullet has no eyes. It will always hit a target.
Video footage of an officer putting a slug in an handcuffed suspect.
The Department of Justice and Texas Department of Safety are working on this situation.
A man who was in custody was shot dead by a cop. He walks.
Well the press wanted to know how a man who was handcuffed and in the custody of the law. Yet, the grand jury didn't indict this cop for the death. Wondering if the junk food media will claim that suspect reached for the service weapon despite being handcuffed.
Mediaite has reported on this controversy. Back in 2013, El Paso officer Jose Flores shot and killed Daniel Rodrigo Saenz, who was in police custody after erratic behavior at a supermarket led him to be taken to a nearby medical center, where he is alleged to have assaulted an off-duty police officer and the facility’s staff. Upon being arrested, Saenz continued to lash out physically against officers, and, according to reports, struck his own head against a door with the apparent intent to injure himself.
In an effort to protect this obviously disturbed man from causing himself, or anyone else, any further harm, Flores made the decision to shoot him to death while he was handcuffed.
Daniel Rodrigo Saenz was gunned down in 2013 after a police officer took him as a threat. Saenz was a body builder who was under the influence. The cop claims that the body builder was a threat because of his sheer strength.
In the case, which was also investigated by the El Paso Police Department’s Shooting Review Team and the Texas Rangers, according to the El Paso Times, the totality of the events of the day, including the fact that Saenz had not been stopped by earlier attempts to subdue him with a taser, led them to determined that the shooting was justified. Saenz had demonstrated that he was capable of reversing his handcuffed arms to the front of his body, the police say, which, along with his body-builder strength, made him a serious threat.
In the video you can see that Saenz is clearly resisting the officer’s effort to remove him from the jail, and he reacts violently. Saenz refuses to remain still, even with two men on top of him. At one point as he’s thrown off the prisoner, Flores reaches for his gun, and shoots the man through the shoulder. Which is what killed him. The bullet did. From the police man’s gun.
The city’s attorney’s has argued that the video shouldn’t be released for a number of reasons, including the privacy of the deceased. The Attorney General’s office declined that reasoning, saying the right to privacy transpires upon being dead, which Saenz is now, via being shot by a police officer while handcuffed.
Tragic circumstances that merit a federal investigation into allegations of police brutality.
World News Today send our condolences to the family of Daniel Saenz.
