You Mean Independent!

Don't believe the hype. More Americans are independent.

The Republicans are not doing so good right now. They rode the wave of anti establishment and frustrations with the economy that former president Joe Biden handled.

Now two years into President Donald J. Trump's chaotic second term, Republicans are split. They still love him, but the policies and his fly off the handle antics are tiring.

The president is getting richer while his supporters (who aren't rich) struggle in this country.

The Drudge Report lays out a splash saying that Republican enthusiasm is down.

Not gonna lie, it is true. But the Democratic Party isn't doing well either.

Did you know they are struggling to get donor money? 

Small donors are not contributing. Both parties are swamping emails and mass texts to get you fearing the unknown. They are literally pointing fingers at one another over who is responsible for the country's predicaments.

I have deactivated my ActBlue and WinRed accounts. In the past I voted for both Democrat and Republican candidates. I went on who could improve my life and make my paycheck better.

Since losing my job at the local casino and now working at a uniform cleaning company, my paychecks are matching up to the growing expenses.

No one should be forced to put aside a doctor, a dentist, a mechanic, a vacation, a family event or groceries because of the cost of living. The U.S. is the richest country in the world but 45% of its people feel like the middle class no longer exist. 

There are three classes: the working class, the well off and the super wealthy.

While the working class is vilifying the poor who need the safety net to survive, they certainly don't care about a super wealthy person buying a super yacht. 

They vilify Muslims, Black women, transgender women, protesters and the homeless.

They don't throw their anger at private equity companies, billionaires, lobbyists, foreign influencers, elected lawmakers and companies ruining their lives.

Most Americans don't know who their elected leaders are other than the president, vice president and possibly their governor. Trump is the representative of the United States, its territories and its aligned sovereignties.

It is time to tell you a honest truth.

The Democratic Party is not winning me over with their policies. They are not convincing me that voting for them will make things better. We are not seeing much other than a party willing to use identity politics to shut down honest concerns about the Democrats being too cozy with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

A growing share of American voters have not identified with either party in recent years. Back in 2002, roughly a third of voters surveyed by Gallup identified as either Republican, Democrat or independent. By last year, 45% of respondents called themselves independents, with only 27% identifying as either Democrat or Republican.

Independent means you have no political alliance or vote for a candidate that identifies with your views. It could be an independent, Democrat or Republican. 

The recent uproar about Rep. Hakeem Jeffries and Rula Jabreal shows how a sliver of the Democratic Party will react to free speech over policies. That 4% of the Democratic Party will eventually leave and join other factions or minor parties. When the crucial presidential election comes forth and the Democrats lose again, they will blame that 4% they shut out because of free speech and not policy decisions that drove criticism.

Become an independent.

Make the Democrats and Republicans earn your vote. If they want to waste time on distractions, let them. But in crucial elections when you withhold your vote, you will finally realize that their noise drove you to put in the earplugs. 

The Democratic Party will never learn and if it takes losing numerous key elections to get them to learn, then so be it.

The path to victory is a strong movement of progressive activism and aggressive pushback against the very distractions that cost them votes.
