Final curtain for the Democratic candidates. |
CNN, The Des Moines Register and the Iowa Democratic Party are hosting the six candidates who qualified to appear on stage.
Billionaire Tom Steyer, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), former vice president Joe Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) have made the cut and they will duke it out before the caucuses.
The field is narrowing and tonight's debate could spell the end of some of the candidates.
Who won tonight's CNN Democratic Debate? (Expect trolls to pick the dumbest answers. Other includes candidates who didn't make the stage).
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI)
Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO)
Michael Bloomberg
Deval Patrick
John Delaney
Andrew Yang
The debate according to CNN will be the final face-to-face gathering of candidates before February 3rd. That will be the Iowa Caucuses.
The debate is the first meeting of the candidates since Iran fired more than a dozen ballistic missiles at two Iraqi military bases housing US troops. The attack last week was retaliation after Iran's top general Qasem Soleimani was killed in a US airstrike in Baghdad. The debate will provide an opportunity for the candidates to focus on foreign policy as they make their presidential case to the American people.
Donald J. Trump has a 60% chance of winning reelection.
Will the Democrats finally get behind a candidate capable of winning the general election?
