Wow, this is devastating to hear. Now the mother of a woman who was killed by a dirty cop passed away on January 10th.

This is heartbreaking news for those who followed the story of a Fort Worth woman being shot and killed by a cop inside her own home. She was playing video games with her nephew when two cops were called to do a welfare check. The dirty cop on his body cam shot through a window killing her instantly. He is facing murder charges that could put him in the iron college for LIFE.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Atatiana Jefferson became another person of color killed by law enforcement for minding her own business.

Yolanda Carr passed away two weeks ago in the Fort Worth home where the dirty cop shot her daughter in October. Attorney S. Lee Merritt said to the junk food media that cause of her mother's death is unknown but she was being treated for congestive heart failure.

Jefferson, 28 recently moved into her mother's home to car for her when she was shot through the window by a dirty cop who failed to identify himself. Carr was hospitalized when her daughter was killed and had been missing a "critical" caregiver since.

"They've been reeling from one tragedy to the next," said Merritt.

In a statement released by the family.
Tay won't be forgotten.
"It is with heavy hearts our office reports the passing of Yolanda Carr, the mother of Atatiana Jefferson. Atatiana was serving as a caregiver to her mother, Ms. Carr, at the time of her murder by [the Fort Worth police officer]. The family is devastated by Ms. Carr's untimely death and is requesting for space to process and mourn. Police brutality impacts entire families, communities and generations. THere is no doubt Ms. Carr's recovery was complicated by the tragedy of her daughter's death and the difficulty associated with the ongoing fight for justice. We will continue to fight in her honor. Please join us as we offer our prayers and condolences to this family during this incredibly difficult time."

Atatiana's adopted father Marquis Jefferson died in November just weeks after her death. He was buried in Dallas next to her.

Family members were shocked that her parents had died so suddenly. Some believe they died of a broken heart.

The dirty cop resigned shortly after the incident in preparation of being fired out the cannon. He joined Fort Worth Police in April 2016. He was immediately charged with murder.
