We're staying on Vancouver Island. We want to be a family that's not trailed by the press. |
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced they will no longer serve duties as members of the royal family. This move is unprecedented in modern family history.
The two will spend their time raising their son between British Columbia and England.
"After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive now role within this institution," the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote on social media.
"We intend to step back as 'senior' members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen."
That means they will no longer use full-time British royals. They will only appear whenever necessary.
Harry is the sixth in line of the throne. He will have to get behind his father, Prince Charles, 71, Prince William, 37, his children, George, Charlotte and Louis. Charles is the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip.
Of course the far-white in the United States and Great Britain will find some reason to attack Markle for the decision.
Ever since they've wed, the junk food media here in the U.S. and also Britain have been trashing her with racist bullshit. Markle and Harry met while she was filming Suits in Toronto. They have been dating for almost a year before they officially became an item.
When she was engaged, she was told to give up acting and activism.
She was always a person who wanted to do good for the community. He wanted to do what's good for the country. He was constantly derailed for taking flights and constantly partying. Now that he wants to be a "normal" person with a wife and child, they complain about that.
I believe it was a good idea.
Harry wants to be a father first and foremost. His son Archie deserves a full-time father who will give him the skills to be a man.
Harry learned that his mother Princess Diana died because of the tabloid agitators.
The move comes as the couple are embroiled in several lawsuits with the U.K. press and acknowledge feeling under strain earlier this fall amid tabloid pressure and tensions between Kate and Meghan.
But that's rumors and I don't want to speculate.
