The East Atlanta Santa wants to drop off another gift to the Wopsters.
Gucci Mane and the 1017 So Icy Crew release the latest East Atlanta Santa mixtape. This compilation mixtape is titled So Icy Christmas and its released on 1017/Guwop Enterprises and Atlantic Records
Gucci Mane (Radric Davis) is a rapper, songwriter, producer, and record executive. It took a long ass time for the East Atlanta based rapper to get his dues.
He is best known for releasing multiple mixtapes and introducing the hip-hop world to trap music.
Throughout his life, he's dealt with depression, bipolar disorder, alcohol, drug addiction and gun violence. The rapper managed to beat murder charge in 2005 when he was ambushed by members of a domestic terrorist group called the Black Mafia Family. He has engaged in a highly publicized feud with fellow Atlanta rapper Jeezy. The two ended their feud during a VERZUZ battle although there's no collaboration in the works anytime soon.
The rapper also spent three and half years in federal time out for weapons charges. During that time, he found religion and an exercise routine. When he was in federal time out, he swore off fattening foods and focused on getting his life off of drugs.
When he got out he had lost over 50 lbs and swore that he's never return back to the old Gucci.
He ended being engaged to his longtime girlfriend Keshia Dior. She and the rapper got married on October 17, 2017.
He is the father of two. He has one son from a previous relationship. One from Dior. Dior has three children from a previous relationship. The two rarely talk about their children. Although, Gucci Mane does show off his son Ice wearing designer clothing.
The mixtape features Gucci Mane, Big Scarr, Enchanting, Hotboy Wes, Bigwalk Dog, Bic Fizzle and Pooh Shiesty.
Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano are locked up on criminal charges for shooting individuals.
There's no production acknowledgements on the compilation but it's executive produced by longtime rap producer Zaytoven and Gucci Mane. It doesn't have a features list so your guess is good as mine.
Also Gucci Mane paid homage to Young Dolph. The rapper who often collaborated with Guwop was gunned down in Memphis. The death shook hip-hop.
