Pete King Out!

Republican Peter A. King is out. He announced he is not seeking reelection. King was a notorious Islamophobe.
Controversial New York lawmaker is leaving Congress. The Long Island Republican Peter King is retiring. His departure also hurts the Republicans chances of retaking the House of Representatives.

He joins a long list of Republican lawmakers who heading for the exit. That means it's likely that that moron Joey Salads (aka Joseph Saladino) is going to drop his bid to unseat Rep. Max Rose (D-NY) and run for the open seat.

King, a former chairman of the Homeland Security Committee is one of the most Islamophobic lawmaker in Washington, DC. The others include Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), Rep. Steve King (R-IA), Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA).

He joined Congress in 1993 and said on Monday that he will finish his term as New York's 2nd Congressional District's lawmaker.

The 75-year old Republican said that he wants to spend the rest of his time with his family.

"This was not an easy decision. But there is a season for everything and Rosemary and I decided that, especially since we are both in good health, it is time to have the flexibility to spend more time with our children and grandchildren," he said, adding that his "daughter's recent move to more to North Carolina certainly accelerated my thinking."

King's departure comes as party is in danger of losing both the House and Senate. The Democrats believe King's seat is competitive. They believe they could have a potential candidate capable of winning the seat.

There are 16 House Republicans leaving and five Democrats that have opt to not seek reelection.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) said that the departure of King was long overdue. She said she won't shed tears for King nor any Republican who demonized women of color, Muslims and victims of police shootings. Basically, she said that's "one less funeral to go to."

Trust me, Omar is right.

Racist bigots like Peter King are long overdue for departure. I mean seriously, Republicans are the party of hatred and paranoia of their fellow Americans.
