D'Oh: The Simpsons Could Be Ending!

The Simpsons may have finally reached its peak.
With Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox, the company is working on development and growth of the Disney+ streaming service. The catalog includes Star Wars, Marvel Comics, Pixar Animation, Walt Disney Studios, ESPN, Hulu and ABC. Also in the catalog is Fox Network.

Fox is part of the major four networks. It was born into existence in 1986 and was bought by Australian born billionaire Rupert Murdoch and American billionaire Berry Diller.

Shows that exist currently on Fox include: The Masked Singer, Last Man Standing, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, Bless the Harts, The Resident, Empire, Fox News Sunday, 9-1-1 and The Simpsons.

With the Disney takeover, I can only imagine what could happen to your beloved shows now that Disney owns the rights to the distribution and production.
How could I stay mad at you?
Danny Elfman, legendary conductor and film composer said that "the end is near."

The show that lasted over 30 years is coming to end.

The Simpsons is the longest running animated sitcom may end at season 32.

Is it time to say "Eat My Shorts" to The Simpsons? (Expect trolls to pick the dumbest answers and responses. This is an unscientific poll and we expect trolls here.

Yes. It's time to for Fox to cancel The Simpsons. It's been on too long and I believe it's time for the show to end. The show offered great laughs and memorable episodes but the time has come for our favorite show to end.
No. I believe The Simpsons will continue on. Fox has been very successful with The Simpsons. It would be almost disastrous for them to cancel the show due to Disney's ownership. I would love to see The Simpsons continue to grow and have a movie sequel in the works.

"From what I've heard, it is coming to an end....I don't know for a fact, but I 've heard that it will be in its last year," Elfman told the website, Joe.ie.

He went on to express his surprise at the show's success. "I'm so flabbergasted and amazed that it has lasted as long as it did … you have to realize, when I scored The Simpsons, I wrote this crazy piece of music, and I expected no one would hear it because I really did not think the show had a chance in hell."

There have long been rumors of the shows end, but Fox has continued to keep the show alive now for almost 31 years now though Disney is the new owners of The Simpsons. In recent years the show has faced criticism over some of his jokes and the character Apu Nahasapeemapetilon. The show initially began in 1989 and is now in its 31st season. You can stream every episode on Disney+ now that The Simpsons is owned by Disney.
The Simpsons are a part of American history. The animated sitcom surpassed the threshold of over 700 episodes.
The show stars Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer. Each of these actors have provided voices of most of your favorite Simpsons characters.

Castellaneta is known for playing Homer Simpson, Barney, Krusty The Clown and Sideshow Mel.

Kavner plays Marge Simpson and her twin sisters Patti and Selma.

Cartwright plays Bart Simpson, Maggie Simpson, Nelson Muntz, Ralph Wiggum and Todd Flanders.

Smith plays Lisa Simpson.

Azaria plays Chief Wiggum, Apu, Moe, Carl, Comic Book Guy, Snake, Officer Lou and others.

Shearer plays Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Lenny, Reverend Lovejoy, Seymour Skinner, Dr. Hibbert, Smithers and others.

So far The Simpsons is the longest running animated series. With over 700 episodes and a movie, who know when its time for The Simpsons to fade into the limelight. However, if it does, I assure you that the series will go out with a bang and more ominous predictions for the future.

Other shows include: South Park, Spongebob SquarePants, Arthur and Family Guy.
