Raymond Allen Passed Away!

American actor Raymond G. Allen passed away.
Raymond Gilmore Allen was an American television actor. He was best known for his appearances on television during the 1970s.

Allen who is best known for his roles on Sanford and Son died at the age of 91.

His daughter actress Ta Ronce Allen announced his passing on her social media.

"Just wanted to let The Allen Family and friends know that Dad (Raymond G. Allen) received his wing two hours ago. His warmth, kind heart and clever sayings will be missed. His laughter will ring in heaven. Rest in Heavenly Peace Raymond Allen. The last of 12 siblings," Ta Ronce Allen wrote.

Allen was known as Uncle Woodrow "Woody" Anderson on the NBC sitcom. The sitcom was one of the many of iconic director and playwright Norman Lear. The show starred Red Foxx and Desmond Wilson.



Allen landed a number of roles on hit television shows in the 1970s, including the role of Ned the Wino on Lear's other sitcom Good Times.

Allen's daughter did not reveal the cause of his death but TMZ reported that he was placed in a long-term facility in California. The family told the outlet that Allen died as a result of respiratory issues.
Raymond lived his days being a good father to his family.
Family members said that he didn't die of COVID-19.

Allen leaves behind his daughters To Ronce, Brenda and son, Raymond, Jr (deceased).

He acted all the way into the mid-1980s before retiring. He was forced to retire because of longtime illness.
