Trump Wants A Huge Gathering In Jacksonville!

Come hell or high water, the Republicans want a large gathering.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Jacksonville mayor Lenny Curry, Ronna Romney McDaniel and Donald J. Trump are Republicans. They don't seem to care about the 125,000 Americans dying from COVID-19, the 45 million Americans out of work and the unrest in most cities due to the George Floyd tragedy.

They only care about winning this election no matter how bad the circumstances are.

The city of 914,000 residents is now going to be the place where Republicans will hold their convention. With the rising infections in country, Trump vows to not shut down anything.

RNC chief Ronna McDaniel is a dumb piece of work.

He wants to get back to campaigning and getting his message of "Keeping America Great" out there.

Jacksonville will host what the Republicans are calling a "celebration" of Trump's re-nomination.

"Not only does Florida hold a special place in President Trump's heart as his home state, but it is crucial in the path to victory in 2020. We look forward to bringing this great celebration and economic boon to the Sunshine State in just a few short months," McDaniel said in a news release.

With over 2,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Florida, the state is 80% open for business.

Charlotte was going to be the place where RNC was going to hold their convention. But a feud with North Carolina's Gov. Roy Cooper has Trump demanding a new venue. So McDaniel, the RNC chairwoman decided to pull out of Charlotte.

Cooper said that he wants the folks attending to be safe and he said that the coronavirus rates increased. He said that large gatherings like the convention could put thousands at risk of infection.

Trump ignores his own advice on how to prevent the coronavirus spreading.

The convention was once expected to span four days in Charlotte — bringing in 50,000 people and pumping more than $150 million into the local economy.

Florida's largest city is the least popular tourist destination.

Instead, around 336 delegates will conduct the convention's official business Monday, Aug. 24. Then they'll head to Jacksonville — and join more than 2,000 other delegates for three days of speeches and celebrations, a top GOP official said Thursday.

The events will take place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, the RNC news release said.

Cooper's office had asked RNC officials for detailed plans on how they would deal with concerns over COVID-19. They say they’ve yet to receive them. The state is now in Phase Two of a gradual reopening.

With that being said, Trump is going to head to Tulsa, Oklahoma for his first campaign since the coronavirus pandemic. The Oklahoma Republican Party and Donald J. Trump Presidential Campaign have said that those attending must pledge to not sue if they get catch the coronavirus.

Trump hosts a forum in Dallas, Texas without the police chief, county sheriff and prosecutor.

Trump is going to expect protests in Tulsa. He is also going to face flack for doing it during Juneteenth. The day of the Tulsa race riots happened that day, 99 years ago.

Again, Trump can win. He has a 48.5% chance of winning reelection. His odds are still more favorable than Joe Biden.
