During a Juneteenth parade, the Flint Police shot and killed a 19-year old woman.
The Michigan State Police are taking over the case and they are claiming that Briana Sykes opened fire on a police officer during a Saturday Juneteenth march.

Investigators are saying that the woman allegedly shooting at a Flint Police officer around 2:15pm.
Michigan State Police say that Skyes drove up to an officer directing traffic during the city's Juneteenth Celebration Parade and fired a gunshot at the officer, who has not been identified.
The officer was not injured and no bystanders were injured.

The Michigan State Police is investigating. The Flint police officer alleges that the woman drove up and fired at him so he returned fire. She died at the hospital and there were no other injuries. https://t.co/CK7w27eDNM

And it shows something that many Black folks are noticing. The cop drops to his knees and cries and another cop comforts him. They take no initiative to render aid to the woman or stop the vehicle from crashing into a pole.
The witness video shows the cop allegedly approach the vehicle and demanded orders to see Sykes' hands. After a few moments of idling, he shoots into the window and bullets fly into other people's cars.

The witness said that he shot into the windshield before he approached the vehicle.
Then after five seconds, the cop shoots the vehicle into the driver's side window and bullets ricocheted into another person's vehicle. Then the cop drops to the floor and starts crying and rolling around.
The vehicle Sykes was driving was just rolling along. The cops don't do nothing. The Michigan State Police trooper who pulled up soon after reversed and stopped the vehicle.
The shooting in Flint, Michigan comes days after President Joe Biden signed the legislation making Juneteenth a federal holiday.
It never stops!
It never happens in your community....... Until it does! Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how this gun reform is taking away your rights. I don't want to hear that protesting against police killing people of color is hate on cops in general. I don't want to hear talk about the coronavirus being a myth. I don't want hear folks say this is not white privilege. I don't want to hear folks say masks impede their freedoms. I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. These incidents are a tragic part of American history.
