The Supreme Court dismissed a challenge to the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare).
The justices in a 7-2 decision left the law intact on Thursday in a ruling tahta Texas and other Republican led states and two individuals have no right to bring their lawsuit in a federal court.
The law's major provisions include: Protections for Americans with pre-existing conditions, a range of no cost preventive services and the expansion of the Medicaid program that insures lower-income people, including those who work in jobs that don't pay much or provide health insurance.
The mandate was also left in place as well.
The Court's conservative wing, Karen Coney Barrett, Karen Kavanaugh and Karen Thomas joined the Chief Justice Karen Roberts, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Stephen Breyer in upholding the Affordable Care Act.
The two who dissented were Karen Gorsuch and Karen Alito.
The latest attempt to destroy the Affordable Care Act has not stopped the far-right from interfering in the dismantling the law.
Right now, they're trying to push legislation that discriminates against LGBTQ+ Americans in which they need affordable health care. They are trying to ban transgender children from playing in gender specific sports. They are trying to stop women from going to health care providers who perform in terminations.
These are the same folks who bitch about "cancel culture." Yet they're trying to cancel voters, women, minorities, reality, science and President Joe Biden.
