The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department has confirmed that legendary golfer was doing more than the posted speed when he caused his serious accident back in February.
The pro-golfer was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs when he crashed his vehicle in Southern California.
Tiger Woods' Genesis GV80 SUV was traveling at 84 mph to 87 mph. The speed limit was 45 mph in Rolling Hills Estates.
Sheriff Alex Villanueva confirms that the driver was speeding and the conditions for the road were not suitable for that type of speed. Woods failed to control the vehicle when he went through curves.
Woods was still speeding when he went over the cliff and hit the tree.
"The impact of the vehicle when it hit the tree cause the vehicle to go airborne and do somewhat (of a) pirouette landing on its side," Sheriff's Capt. James Powers said.
Officials will not forward a case for possible prosecution. That drew controversy.
Many who commit accidents and violated the California penal code on traffic safety often are sent to court and face hefty fines. Many believe that Tiger Woods is getting off with a warning.
Investigators did not call for a blood sample. It would determine if Woods was under the influence when he caused the crash. He was arrested in Florida back in 2017 when he crashed his vehicle into a mailbox.
He was charged with DUI and ordered to pay a hefty fine and had his license pulled temporarily.
Woods who suffered from back injuries during the late 2010s now has allegedly significant leg injuries.
He is back in Florida. His family and pressers confirms he has no memory on how he crashed his vehicle and was pulled through with the jaws of life.
He has been in some infamous events besides this. He was married to model Elin Nordegren. He has two children from her and she has another one from her new husband, Jordan Cameron.
He famously cheated on her with over 30 women. He had to go into rehab for alcohol addiction and sex addiction.
Woods will not participate in the granddaddy of PGA tournaments. Ratings matter. Without Woods, it's not going to be a ratings grab.

The Masters which is held at August National in Georgia is being held on Thursday. The state is facing an economy boycott after white nationalist governor Brian Kemp signed off voter laws that are restrictive towards people of color.
Georgia went to Joe Biden and two senate seats went to the Democrats. The white nationalist Republicans and enabler Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) are trying to push forward the "big lie" by restricting voters access to the polls.
Woods has been silent on the matter.
If California does charge him, Tiger Woods could face 10 years of license suspension. He could be criminally charged and face up to one year in the iron college. He will face up to $5,000 in fines. He could be forced to replace property, signs and trees.
The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
