Black Rob (Robert Ross), 51 was an American rapper and producer who was signed to Bad Boy Records in the post-Biggie Smalls era. He released his debut album Life Story in 1999.
Apparently the rapper died of kidney failure. He leaves behind a wife and four children.
He signed to Bad Boy in 1998 and released two albums under that label. Rob's longtime manager Kal Dawson tearfully said the rapper passed away in Atlanta after a nursing home assistant said dialysis was failing.

Sean "Puffy" Combs also shared his thoughts on the passing. Folks launched a GoFundMe to help pay for Rob's family and medical bills. Some slammed Combs for not paying for the bills.
Only two weeks ago, rapper DMX (Earl Simmons, Sr.), 50, was rushed to the hospital after he suffered a massive heart attack. He apparently overdosed on drugs and it stopped his heart. His family struggled with keeping him alive.
The medical doctors said that he was medically "brain dead" and the decision to take him off life support was on Sunday. He passed away shortly after.
The hip-hop community had shared their thoughts on Rob's passing.
They believe the East Harlem based rapper was one of the greatest in hip-hop.
