Biden Takes Executive Action On Gun Violence!

Biden puts a halt to 3D made firearms. The "ghost guns" are out on the streets.

President Joe Biden said "enough is enough." He decides to take executive action on gun violence. He slams Congress for offering "thoughts and prayers" and "hearts going out to" instead of stopping the problem that is plaguing America: Gun violence.

The latest mass shooting in the United States is in South Carolina. We will discuss the mass shooting as well as others in the next posting on Friday.

Biden said that he lowered the American flag at the White House during the Georgia massacre. A white terrorist massacred eight in Atlanta area massage parlors. Six of the victims were Asian American women.

Biden also mentioned the shooting at King Soopers in Boulder, Colorado. A white terrorist massacred 10 inside the grocery store. The far-right called the terrorist a Muslim because he was born in Syria. They didn't seem to care about the fact he was White.

Then between all of those shootings, there were some in Texas, Virginia, Kansas, Florida, South Carolina, Maryland, Oregon and New York.

Not to mention there were suicides in some of these mass shootings.

Okay, so the president issued executive orders in regards to "ghost guns." Those are 3D printed devices to replicate firearms. They are untraceable and easier for terrorists to obtain. He also wants the U.S. Justice Department to issue a report on "red flag" laws and implement them 

At the Rose Garden, the president will try to eliminate the easy access to firearms. He will call upon the worthless Congress to pass gun control measures. The biggest step for Biden and Congress is to strengthen background checks.

The actions he are signing off will face legal challenges from white nationalist Republicans and the NRA. They will claim that its a gun grab and will challenge any form of gun reform.

"Gun violence in this country is an epidemic and it is an international embarrassment," Biden said. 

Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Attorney General Merrick Garland, a handful of Democratic congressional members, gun control advocates and local officials attended the event.

Biden has face calls to do something in the wake of these mass shootings and the insurrection. 

"The idea is just bizarre to suggest some of the things we are recommending is contrary to the Constitution," said Biden. 

The Democrats in the House did pass gun legislation quickly. But the Senate is the hurdle. The white nationalist Republicans and two white nationalist Democrats are stalling the legislation. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) are not willing to cave on the filibuster and it's frustrating Biden and Democrats. Republicans are back to white nationalist ways with the culture wars. They are also using the filibuster way too much in the Senate. Even with Washed Up 45 in charge, the senators from both sides would hold up measures and allow them to die without even taking up the matter.

Biden is cautious about eliminating the filibuster. But he is willing to do it if those two white nationalist Democrats finally grow a pair.

"The job of any president is to protect the American people, whether Congress acts or not," Biden said in his presser. "I'm going to use all the resources at my disposal to keep the American people safe from gun violence. But there's much more that Congress can do to help that effort."

Biden still wants to get his infrastructure plan passed through Congress. With Republicans unlikely to support the measures, the Democrats will likely pass it through budget reconciliation.

Measures on gun reform will require at least a majority of the Congress to support it. That's why the filibuster must be eliminated. The Democrats have 50 senators and Harris as tie-breaker. She can be the crucial decision to getting Biden's agenda through.

How many Americans are going to die from gun violence?

More because we have our "rights" to bear arms.

Less if we have reasonable gun reform measures.

It never happens in your community....... Until it does! Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how this gun reform is taking away your rights. I don't want to hear that protesting against police killing people of color is hate on cops in general. I don't want to hear talk about the coronavirus being a myth. I don't want hear folks say this is not white privilege. I don't want to hear folks say masks impede their freedoms. I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. These incidents are a tragic part of American history.

We haven't forgotten about the many mass shootings in the United States. COVID-19 doesn't stop individuals from picking up firearms and killing others.
