Lauren Underwood Barely Beats White Nationalist!

Democrat Lauren Underwood could be declared the winner of a closely watched race in Illinois. She is taking on a white nationalist who is dubbed the "Milk Dud."

The Democrats are going to have to figure out how to keep the middle from falling. Thanks to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the Democrats lost over 15 House seats. They failed to retake the Senate and lost Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) to a white nationalist. 

Black women are the most key figure in helping Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Black women are going to be the crucial factor in keeping the House and retaking the Senate in 2022.

Republicans aren’t popular. They have not won an election on the popular vote. They have won only on the fact that they can scream and yell about the opponent being an enemy and play racial politics every time. The Democrats lost the white vote. They need to get over the fact that white people born between 1930 to 1984 aren’t voting Democrat. They are strictly for President Donald Trump and they will continue to believe the bullshit he spews before they ever listen to a Democrat. That’s why we’re closing in on 300,000 Americans dead from the coronavirus. That’s why we have unemployment at record numbers. That’s why the economy is on shaky ground. That’s why Trump gets away with golfing while we’re a nation in unrest, a global pandemic and bitterly fought election where the incumbent refuses to gracefully accept defeat.

Many mainstream progressives, moderates and centrist Democrats are calling for new leadership and an end to the bombastic noise of the far-left. They know that the key to winning back the middle and “Flyover” country is to move back to the center. The progressives are tired of listening to moderates. They said that Republicans are close to fascism and they seem to have no problem united around their causes. I mean they managed to ram through Amy Coney Barrett to sit on the Supreme Court.

Milk man, Jim Oberweis is taking on Lauren Underwood. The Illinois state senator could be coming up short.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) who will face a tough challenge in 2022 is signalling that he will support Biden but will not back any agenda that goes against West Virginia. He along with Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) has voiced strong concerns that Pelosi and Schumer are allowing the far-left control of the message. They said voters rejected Sanders and Warren’s vision of America. They chose Joe Biden. Now Democrats are trying to figure out where they go from here.

Many Democrats in Republican districts are facing tougher opponents. One in particular is a former registered nurse who's surprise victory against Randy Hultgren took her to Congress.

Thanks to Sanders and the Squad, she is barely leading against her Republican challenger.

Illinois Democrat may win her bid for another term against a perennial candidate who is a white nationalist. The controversial Jim Oberweis, the owner of Oberweis Dairy has run numerous times for higher office in his years. He won only one spot in his perennial bid for government.

The Illinois state senator from Sugar Grove is challenging Rep. Lauren Underwood (D-IL) in a bid to defeat her. 

He like Trump, prematurely declared victory. He felt that there’s no need to count mail-in ballots, he won. Well he might want to rethink that.

Underwood managed to stretch her lead into the 5,000 ahead in ballots. 

“We have a lead that is virtually impossible for our opponent to overtake,” said Andra Belknap, the spokeswoman for Underwood’s campaign.

The Associated Press hasn’t called the race as of yet but says that Underwood has 50.5% to Oberweis’ 49%. 

In raw numbers according to the Chicago Sun-Times, Underwood has over 200,000 votes and Oberweis has 196,000.

Oberweis, 74 is an old fart. He has challenged Democrat Dick Durbin for the U.S. Senate in 2016. He ran in 2004 for the Senate seat but lost to Jack Ryan who later resigned to due to a sex scandal. Barack Obama would win the seat and eventually move towards running for president.

We need more Black women in power.

He tried to run for governor of Illinois. He would lose to Judy Baar Topinka who would eventually lose to Democrat Rod Blagojevich. Blago would get years in federal time out for corruption. He was pardoned and had his bid commuted by Trump. Blagojevich would switch parties to become a Republican after he got out and endorsed Trump.

He ran for Congress hoping that folks would give him a chance to succeed. He challenged a 34-year old Black woman who played the middle and is likely to win this. 

A Black woman who didn’t listen to the noise coming from AOC, Ilhan and Rashida. A Black woman who knows that her constituents aren’t from safe Democrat districts. 

Underwood faced off against a guy who is dubbed “Milk Dud” in his failed bids. 

While I am pleased that Lauren Underwood may win this after all, I am still pissed that Jaime Harrison lost. He outraised Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). He had a strong message to voters in South Carolina.

But internal polling, Graham’s white nationalist views and a fickle base of voters figured that a worthless politician is more capable of doing things than a fresh face.

That “defund the police” and “socialism” is hurting the Democrats. 

Right now Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff are facing a run-off against Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) and Sen. David Perdue (R-GA). The Democrats both are down by 9 points in reality.

They are not tied. Don’t believe the polls. 

The pollsters aren’t getting it right. 

Republicans are desperate. Now that Trump is defeated, they believe that the key to stopping a Biden presidency is controlling the senate. So don’t believe Mitch McConnell will be gracious in allowing his two key votes go down in defeat.

The Republicans are going to pour money into these races and many believe it’s likely Republican.

Thank you white leftists for ruining an opportunity to actually get something done.
