Ryan's Song!

The best kept secret?

People are still talking about the decision made by former Massachusetts governor and perennial candidate for president Mitt Romney. The former governor puts his bets on Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan.

The Republicans are happy about the decision. The decision motivates the discussion squarely on the economy. Vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan introduced his controversial budget plan in which it called for major austerity cuts to social safety nets. It advocated for larger defense spending and it was passed by the Republican-controlled House and rejected by the Democratic-controlled Senate.

The Path to Prosperity: Restoring America's Promise was the Republican Party's budget proposal for the United States federal government in the fiscal year 2012. It was succeeded in March 2012 by The Path to Prosperity: A Blueprint for American Renewal, the Republican budget proposal for 2013.

Congressman Paul Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee, played a prominent public role in drafting and promoting both The Path to Prosperity proposals, and they are therefore often referred to as the Ryan budget, Ryan plan, Ryan proposal, etc.

The plans stand in contrast to the 2012 and 2013 budget proposals, outlined by President Barack Obama and the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

The 2012 Republican proposal was formalized and passed by the House of Representatives on Friday, April 15, 2011 by a vote of 235 to 193, largely along party lines. No Democrats voted in favor of the bill, and only four Republicans voted against it: Walter B. Jones, Jr., David McKinley, Ron Paul and Denny Rehberg.

A month later, the bill died in the Senate by a vote of 57–40.

The 2013 proposal includes plans to eliminate Medicare and begin a voucher-like program, cap non-defense discretionary federal spending at $1.029 trillion, and consolidate the six existing income tax brackets into only two.

The Ryan plan is widely controversial. The plan is greatly rejected by the general public and yet, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan think the country would embrace this. The proposal broadly generated negative reactions from Democrats and positive reactions from Republicans.

The gloves come off after the Republican National Convention when Romney takes the nomination.

According to ABC News, Clandestine flights. A slight disguise. Long drives to out-of-the-way airports by an aide's 19-year-old son. An afternoon dash through the wooded ravine behind Paul Ryan's house in Janesville, Wis.

These were just some of the things the Mitt Romney campaign did to keep the world from knowing the presumptive Republican presidential nominee had decided to pick Ryan as his running mate.

Beginning in April, Romney aide Beth Myers and a team of lawyers extensively vetted several possible vice presidential candidates, but, in the end, Ryan was only candidate Romney met in person to discuss the job.

From the start, Myers went to extraordinary lengths to keep the process secret. Her team worked in a secure room at Romney's Boston campaign headquarters. Each night they kept the most sensitive documents -- including several years of tax returns from each of the finalists -- in a safe. They made no copies.

"No copies were ever made and all work was done in that room," Myers said.

But it was Romney's final interactions with Ryan that were most elaborately shrouded in secrecy.

"We gave a lot of thought on how to make this work undetected," Myers explained.

It started on August 1, when Romney informed Myers that he had decided Ryan would be his running mate. Romney then called Ryan and asked him to come to Boston for a meeting on August 5.

Instead of flying directly to Boston, where he might be seen arriving in the city where Romney has his campaign headquarters, Ryan flew from Chicago into Hartford's Bradley Airport. To keep from being recognized, he wore casual clothes, a baseball hat and sunglasses.

"We sent my 19-year-old son to pick him up," Myers said.

Myers son Curt shuttled Ryan from Hartford to Myers' home in Brookline, Mass., driving the car right into her garage before Ryan got out. Ryan had lunch with Myers' family while Romney drove in from Wolfboro, N.H. -- also entering her home through the garage.

Drake Will Produce New Aaliyah Album!

Aubrey Graham, known as Drake is a Canadian born rapper/singer and actor who signed to Cash Money Records under Lil' Wayne's sub label Young Money Entertainment. He along with Kevin Rudolf, Nicki Minaj and Tyga rolled out in 2009 as the rebirth of the once struggling label.

He was born in Toronto, Ontario, to American father and Canadian Jewish mother. When his parent's divorce, Drake moved with his mother to Forest Hill, Toronto. He originally became known for playing Jimmy Brooks on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation, but also began to rise to stardom with the release of multiple mixtapes that began to generate hype for his future career as a rapper.

Cash Money Records is based out of New Orleans was home to then multi-platinum rapper Juvenile, street rapper B.G., and the youngest rappers Lil' Wayne and Turk. They formed the Hot Boys. Co-founder Bryan "Baby (aka Birdman)" Williams and in-house producer Mannie Fresh formed the group The Big Tymers. They all released albums during their rise in 1998 to 2005. Mannie Fresh went on produce most of their solo albums at the time.
Aaliyah was killed August 25, 2001 in a tragic plane crash in The Bahamas.
According to Wikipedia, Cash Money's big break came in 1998 when the Hot Boys, B.G. and Juvenile in particular, caught the attention of Universal Records executives. In 1998, Cash Money signed a $30 million pressing and distribution with $3 million advance contract with Universal, entitling the label to 85% of its royalties, 50% of its publishing revenues and ownership of all masters.

Nowadays, Cash Money Records is mostly focused on the rising career of Lil' Wayne and his own record label Young Money. With the signing of Drake, the rap label went through a major overhaul from the bounce catchy Southern beats, to a sophisticated style of music that appeals to a more pop friendly audience.

Drake surpassed Jay-Z as the rapper with the most number one hits on the Billboard 200 hot singles list.

Drake declared his love for the late singer Aaliyah. Aaliyah was killed in a plane crash in the Bahamas after filming a music video. Her death in August 2001, came at the peak of the R & B singer's rising movie career.

Aaliyah Dana Houghton broke into the music scene in 1994 as a protege of R. Kelly. Her album Age Ain't Nothing But A Number went on to sell over 3 million copies. After a bitter fallout with R. Kelly, the singer team up with up-and-coming producer Tim Mosley (aka Timbaland) and rapper Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliot to work on her albums. One In A Million, went on to be one of the singer's most critically acclaimed albums. Her final album Aaliyah was released in July 2001. Her smash single "Rock The Boat" and "We Need A Resolution" became instant hits.

It's been over a decade since Aaliyah's death. The singer's legacy continues to influence a new generation of singers and entertainers. Drake was one who felt her influence in the industry inspired him. He declared that his interest in working on a posthumous album.

Drake tattooed the late singer Aaliyah on his back and his start up label OVOXO.

In an interview with SoulCulture TV, the rapper stated that R&B singer Aaliyah has had the biggest influence on his career:
Aaliyah has had probably the most impact on my career because when I made a choice to start singing it was because of something that my father had told me which was, ‘There’s no rapper out there that sings and raps and does both things well… and in order to be successful you’re gonna need something other than just what everyone else is doing.
I was rapping already at the time so I had an identity in rap, but when I started singing I needed something to reference. I needed someone to be like, ‘I wanna be like that’. I didn’t want it ever to be a male because then I would sound like that person, so I just found comfort in all of Aaliyah’s music and her melody choices and the things that she talks about – and how she always conveyed these amazing emotions but never got too sappy, she always kept it G. That had the biggest influence on my music because – as much as my music may be geared towards women – I try not to make it so that only women can sing it.
The first single released is "Enough Said", and it's produced by Drake's long time producer Noah 40 Shebib.

The release of this single comes after Blackground Records founders Berry and Jomo Henderson allowed access to unreleased demos and outtakes. Drake, Missy Elliot and Timbaland are slated to work on this album and it's planned release in late 2012.

Drake appears under the banter of Universal-Republic Records under Cash Money Records.

Lauryn Hill Will Be Visiting The Iron College!

Lauryn Hill performs in November 2011.

The Grammy award winning singer/rapper is facing serious charges of tax evasion. She will be going to federal prison in November 2012.

The 37-year old entertainer is under the radar for not paying her 2005, 2006, and 2007 tax earnings. Her estimated value of taxes owed is nearly $1 million.

Again this is federal charges. If you're charged with a federal crime, you are required to serve the complete term. There's no exceptions.

According to The Rolling Stone Magazine and CNN, Hill pleaded guilty in a New Jersey courtroom on Friday to evading federal taxes on $1.8 million earned between 2005 and 2007, the Associated Press reports. The singer faces a maximum one-year sentence for each of the three counts.

Hill declined to speak after the hearing, but her attorney, Nathan Hochman, indicated that she plans on paying back the taxes owed. U.S. Magistrate Michael Shipp agreed to delay the sentencing from early

October to late November in order to give Hill time to make payment.

When Shipp asked Hill if anyone had directly or indirectly influenced her decision to plead guilty, Hill gave an enigmatic response that seemed to promise a future statement: "Indirectly, I've been advised my ability to speak out directly is for another time, at sentencing."

The income on which Hill did not pay taxes -- $818,000 collected in 2005, $222,000 in 2006 and $761,000 in 2007 -- was earned by four corporations that she owns.

Charges were brought against Hill earlier this month , after which the singer took to Tumblr to address her side of the situation  but focused on her time outside of the spotlight: "During this period of crisis, much was said about me both slanted and inaccurate, by those who had become dependent on my creative force, yet unwilling to fully acknowledge the importance of my contribution, nor compensate me equitably for it."

Hill added in the post that she felt her "potential to work" was in danger and thus said, "I did whatever needed to be done in order to insulate my family from the climate of hostility, false entitlement, manipulation, racial prejudice, sexism and ageism that I was surrounded by.

"There were no exotic trips," she continued, "no fleet of cars, just an all out war for safety, integrity, wholeness and health, without mistreatment, denial, and/or exploitation."

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was the debut album that sold over 19 million copies. Hill hasn't released an album since 1998.

Lauryn Hill co-produced the commercially successful Supernatural for Carlos Santana, in 1999, for which she won another grammy for album of the year. This made her the only female artist to win two album of the year grammys consecutively, which set a record for most album of the year wins by a female artist (tied with Norah Jones). Shortly after this she mainly dropped out of public view, in part due to her displeasure with fame and the music industry. After a four-year hiatus, she released MTV Unplugged No. 2.0, a live recording of "deeply personal songs" performed mostly solo with an acoustic guitar.

Veepers Creepers!

Team Romney. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, the Republican ticket.

Former Massachusetts governor and perennial candidate for president Mitt Romney made the choice and it's a Dairy Stater by the name of Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin). The Romney team passed off Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio), Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida) and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie as running mates.

Conservatives would have been thrilled that Romney picked Senator Rubio, but Congressman Ryan is acceptable to the base.

Marred with controversy, Congressman Paul Ryan has pushed his law that would put forth domestic austerity cuts.

The Republicans praised the decision with caution.

The Democrats are getting energized by the pick. They hope to tie the Ryan budget to the Romney campaign.

This week has been sort of rough for the presidential candidate. The spokesperson Andrea Saul has brought forth the infamous Romneycare and conservatives were highly upset. Some are calling for her to be terminated.

Romney made an infamous gaffe when introducing the vice presidential candidate. He called Congressman Paul Ryan, the next President of the United States, upstaging himself. Of course, he corrected himself.

You noticed the Black woman in the background?

There was a Black woman who was on the cell phone and didn't clap for the candidate and his running mate!

Is [vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan] going to be the guy that could help motivate a nearly disastrous campaign?

Imploding (Part II) : Mitt Romney Picks Paul Ryan As The Running Mate!

Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin) is the Vice Presidential Candidate for Republican Mitt Romney.

I guess that takes the wind out of people's sails. The Congressman from Wisconsin, the Young Gun Paul Ryan is the Republican candidate Mitt Romney's choice for Vice President.

In what could be another "game changer", Republican candidate Mitt Romney has picked the Wisconsin congressman as his running mate.

After the victorious Governor Scott Walker and the tragic shooting of Sikh Temple, Mitt Romney goes for the "Hail Mary" pick. Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin) has became a lightening rod when he put forth a budget that could send the United States back into a recession.

Wow, if I didn't know better, I think like this could be a fix?

Again, we don't know how people are going to take in news. Some conservatives will cheer for this pick.

Quietly Republicans will probably whisper to their friends that they'll be voting for President Barack Obama.

About Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin), he earned a major in science from Miami University in Ohio.

In the mid to late 1990s, he worked as an aide to United States Senator Bob Kasten, as legislative director for Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas, and as a speechwriter for former U.S. Representative and 1996 Republican vice presidential nominee Jack Kemp of New York. In 1998, Ryan won election to the United States House of Representatives, succeeding the two-term incumbent, fellow Republican Mark Neumann. He is now in his seventh term.
File:Paul Ryan with Barack Obama 02-25-10.jpg
Vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan in 2010 with President Barack Obama.
Ryan currently chairs the House Budget Committee, where he has played a prominent role in drafting and promoting the Republican Party's long-term budget proposals. As an alternative to the 2012 budget proposal of President Barack Obama, Ryan introduced a plan, The Path to Prosperity in April 2011 which included controversial changes to Medicare. He then helped introduce The Path to Prosperity: A Blueprint for American Renewal in March 2012, in response to Obama's 2013 budget. Ryan is one of the three co-founders of the Young Guns Program, an electoral recruitment and campaign effort by House Republicans.

He is married to Jenna and has three children. At age 42, Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin will be the right hand to Mitt Romney if he should become the President Of The United States.

To put aside conservative anxiety, Mitt Romney goes for a candidate who carries a portion of controversy.

But as they try to clean up the image of this vice presidential candidate, President Barack Obama and his allies are working double time to send the perennial candidate and his running mate back to their multi-million dollar homes.

Here's a dose of the vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan:

Imploding (Part I)!

Part I - The second part will be done Saturday. Romney will pick his running mate that day! We'll be looking forward to covering it.

It's not over until November 6, 2012.

But this week is getting worse for Republican candidate Mitt Romney. The former Massachusetts governor and perennial candidate for president is suffering a major deficit in popularity.  Even the conservatives are starting to worry about how bad this campaign is going?

When you have Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter complaining about Mitt Romney, you're in trouble!

Priorities USA, the SuperPac created by President Barack Obama's former deputy press secretary Bill Burton, led the way with a hard hitting negative ad comparing Mitt Romney's Bain Capital to the death of a worker's wife.

Romney's aides shot back and misfired. Andrea Saul, the press secretary to Mitt Romney has let one slip out about the one thing that could destroy him, Romneycare! On Fox News, of all things!

Erick Erickson, talk radio host and founder of RedState went to Twitter and denounce the Romney Campaign and said this race could be over before the elections.

Rush Limbaugh went to the airwaves and denounced Andrea Saul and said this gaffe was a goldmine for President Barack Obama

Karl Rove urged Stuart Varney of Fox Business Channel not to play the Priorities USA ad.

Ann Coulter was so upset, she even slammed Sean Hannity for blindly following a weak candidate.

To take the minds of the disastrous campaign, Romney will announce who his running mate is. I'll stop here!

The second part will be done shortly.

Rapper Ends Decade Long Feud With Eminem!

Eminem will turn 40 years old this October. One of the best rappers in the world, is a slim figured White guy who hails from Detroit, Michigan. Marshall Mathers is the founder of Shady Records, the home of gangster rapper 50 Cent, Alabama native Yelawolf and hip-hop collective Slaughterhouse.

Eminem comes from the cloth of the good Dr. Dre, the world famous producer credited to making him, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and many others very rich. Anything with Dr. Dre's blessing is classic. Eminem's influences help push rap music more mainstream so rappers like Ludacris, Nelly, Kanye West, Flo Rida, Waka Flocka Flame, Future, Lil' Wayne and Drake could succeed in an industry that creates sharks.

Hailed as one of the best, there were some who questioned his standings as the world's most recognized White rapper.

Rapper Benzino apologized to Eminem after decade long feud. Is this real? Apparently so!

Whatever you decide on calling him, he has been a mark in hip-hop. The self acclaimed Made Man, Almighty RSO, and road dog for the Hangmen 3, Raymond “Benzino” Scott has been a name that been around for awhile. The rapper and entrepreneur of the hip-hop magazine, The Source, has been no stranger to the speculation stemming from his alleged alterations with his group Made Men, to his on air beef with rappers Eminem, 50 Cent and Dr. Dre.

The rapper's motives of threatening people from exposing any dirt about his life, have came under heavy scrutiny. Benzino has been a warrior in a “state of hip-hop emergency” and is not ready to put the mic down and walk away.

We'll revisit my previous article of 2004. The climax of the feud between Eminem and Benzino.

I was a subscriber of The Source Magazine. I was greatly upset over the magazine's turmoils under the leadership of Dave Mays and Benzino. The company was blowing money fast. They've filed for bankruptcy after this feud. My magazine subscription was in limbo. Millions of readers dumped The Source and picked up the XXL Magazine. And today, the XXL Magazine reigns as the top selling rap magazine. Even in tough times, the magazine is still thriving as well as Vibe and Ozone.

My personal opinion is that hip-hop deserves a chance!

Hell, I gave rappers like Jay-Z, DMX, Ludacris, 50 Cent, Eve and Nelly props. I paid respect to the pioneers of hip-hop, from Eric B and Rakim, Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls, to even the Cold Crush Brothers, but there’s no way I can support a rapper that seems make a name for his self in a magazine that over hypes his lackluster talent.

Benzino, 49 was born in Latham, Massachusetts and resides in either New York or Miami. Formerly known as the Ray Dog of Almighty RSO (Rock Shit Out) and the lead vocals to the group Made Men, the Boston brawler, has edged his name in hip-hop as either the “savior of hip-hop” or the “worst rapper since Vanilla Ice”.
Eminem
Benzino seems to fall short of his expectations. Under the Made Men, The Source heavily promoted the rap group's ads. The magazine even considering them once as Def Jam artists.

The Source gave a unknown rapper such as Benzino a place with rap moguls Sean “Puffy” Combs,  Steve Stoute and Lyor Cohn. When Benzino's group Made Men debut album was released, The Source was giving it heavy promotion despite concerns among staff.

The reviewers and editors of the Source, gave the group a mid size rating and Benzino was highly upset.

Benzino asked the editor and long time friend, founder, Dave Mays, to give the album Classic Limited Edition, better promotion or top notch ratings.

Mays agree to Benzino’s request and changed the rating to top-notch behind the staff. With the album being changed to top-notch ratings the staff of The Source warned Mays if he changes their credibility, they walked.

Mays refused their request and told them to leave. So that’s what they did. Even with the change the Made Men didn’t do so well with their album. Heavy cameos such as Master P, The LOX and  Montell Jordan couldn't save this album.

Benzino’s group didn’t pave the way for hip-hop. So they disbanded and Benzino tries to strike it out on his own.

The debut solo album, The Benzino Project and The Benzino Remix Project were both released by Universal-Motown. The debut album managed to sell over 78,000 copies and the "Remix" album didn't chart major sales. Even providing the single “Bootee” with producer Teddy Riley, having G-Dep, Fabolous, Snoop Dogg, Scarface and among others featured on it couldn't save this album.

Benzino had disappointed Motown so much, they released the rapper from his contract.

Despite the album flops Benzino still supported the album by releasing the single “Shine Like My Son” featuring his own son, upcoming rapper Ray Ray (known as Cool Breeze Ray), and featured spots from Master P, Jadakiss and their families. Benzino lost the battle. So Benzino fumes up with Motown having their ads removed from The Source.
The legendary Dr. Dre helped proteges Eminem and 50 Cent produce their successful albums.
Benzino decides to jump on to Interscope, home to Eminem and Dr. Dre. After pushing the Black Friday Album on lukewarm results, Interscope drops the Hangman 3, Made Men, and Benzino. So thus he promoted his albums on the independent scene for awhile.

With a hook up with Queen Latifah and Shakim on Flavor Unit, Benzino got him a deal distribution with Elektra Entertainment.

With the release of his album Redemption he teams up with Bad Boy head producer Mario “Yellow Man” Winans to produce his tracks. Releasing the first single “Rock The Party” it seemed like Benzino had at least manage to catch the attention of the clubs with a fresh up start to a up and coming career. But the ever looming slum of failure has seemed to haunt Benzino.
Rapper Benzino and Dave Mays (far right). Dave Mays is a Harvard educated business executive and hip-hop journalist. He co-founded The Source Magazine with Jonathon Schecter and James Bernard.
Artists who contributed to the album were Scarface, Jadakiss, Wyclef Jean, Lil’ Kim and notably actress LisaRaye. Benzino released a single to attack at Eminem. The single “Pull Your Skirt Up” exposes Eminem as a machine that steals music from up and coming artists, infiltrating a culture that makes him wealthy (in reference to “Without Me” from The Eminem Show). To put things worst the single “Would You and Staying 4 Eva” has modestly proven that with rap there is a line that has been cross. Despite the hype of Benzino fails to score at least the amount of albums he sold from his previous albums. Last time I checked, Benzino had sold at least 15,000 albums.

In November 2002, getting a chance at exposing Eminem for what he is and what his purpose is, he attacks Shady and Aftermath Records. Benzino exposes Eminem's legal troubles and the looming signing of 50 Cent to the labels. Benzino claims that Eminem’s album sales hurt the upcoming hip-hop acts.

What drove Eminem into the battle was the threats Benzino had made to his family and claims of Eminem being a racist (calling him a Rap Hitler or David Duke). During an interview with Angie Martinez, Eminem airs out the beef with Benzino and released two devastating disses toward Benzino.

The first single The Sauce exposes the fact of artists who feud with Benzino would be shut out of the magazine. Eminem exposes The Source sharing ties with Benzino.

Hip-Hop Weekly. A gossip magazine covering hip-hop. Benzino was feuding with  Fat Joe. Benzino claims he slept with the rapper's wife.
The second single was a big blow to Benzino. It was titled the Nail In The Coffin.

The diss goes hard at Benzino, his son Ray Ray, Dave Mays, Kim Osorio, and The Source itself.

So with that Benzino, attacks back stating that this “cracka” is dying to say “nigga” and he is willing to settle this with violence. Benzino states that Eminem and Shady Records will have no place in The Source.

In the February 2003 issue featuring Ja Rule, The Source gave people a free poster showing a virtual unknown holding the head of the world’s most popular rapper.

That’s right, it’s Benzino in cartoon form showing him holding Eminem by the head and spine, warning Eminem to watch what he says or he will face a untimely demise.

The Source takes shots at Elliott Wilson, former Source editor now founder of The XXL, in reference to the XXL issue of 50 Cent, Eminem, and Dr. Dre. On top of that The Source had drawn a muscle man crushing a midget light skinned man with the XXS logo on the bottom of the jersey, with the words “Respect The Architect or Get Broken”.

In fact, the issue had a five page interview with Benzino, heavily promotion for his now defunct nightclub South Beach Club ZNO, and of course for those who bought his album, those would receive a free 6 month subscription to The Source.

Canibus, an underground rapper (Eminem’s nemesis) and the writer Harry Allen, also were featured in the magazine addressing the issues of white emceeing, The Eminem Show and what hip hop is now directing itself into.

Lastly in the Last Word, the Boston Celtics jersey and ice banded Benzino was crushing M & M milk chocolate candies, while a white candy stands in the background watching.

Dr. Dre, Aftermath, Interscope pulled their ads and promotions away from The Source. 50 Cent takes jabs at Benzino by attacking his lackluster career and selling copies less than his first album.

Unfortunate for Benzino the disrespect doesn’t stop there! The world’s leading magazine, The Rolling Stone, Vibe, Murder Dog, and XXL (the rival magazines) stated that Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent are welcome to their magazines.

Benzino was rated in the top 20 in the Maxim Blender’s notably worst entertainers in the world, a group from Petition Online asked for a boycott for The Source to have Benzino be removed from The Source. The marketing strategy for The Source is out! Benzino is part of The Source. In order to keep his name from being tarnished the magazine denied the allegations stemming from his shady dealings while being at The Source. Although current issues had less Benzino, he is eventually showing up somewhere; whether in the Fat Tape (high rotation singles), Coast 2 Coast, and ads for clothing and jewelry.

After the release of 50 Cent's album, Eminem has stated that the beef was done. Eminem declared that Benzino is too wack to respond too. Benzino swears he will not back down to Eminem and continues to keep taking shots at him. Even through the Source magazine, naming 50 Cent on of the top 115 artists of hip-hop, stating that his album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ will outsell The Eminem Show. Even taking blows at Eminem by drawing him as Elvis and Tarzan. The Source also featured a comic called Past Imperfect, taking shots not only at Eminem, but rappers (whom are white) Bubba Sparxxx and Haystak. Benzino had a hand in creating the comic and editorials addressing white MCs.

The Source carried its high profile feud with 50 Cent by releasing an attack article. The article exposes the life and the hype of 50 Cent, his bosses Eminem and Dr. Dre, and the label head, Jimmy Iovine. The issue also takes a jab at rapper, Nas (post XXL issue where he was setting ablaze to The Source and XXL magazines). In the first pages of the Source, Benzino and Mays retaliate towards the XXL and Vibe Magazine attacks from 50 Cent, Eminem, Nas and Dr. Dre by setting ablaze the competitors and stating that their friendship and business relations will remain the same.

The magazine released portions of a freestyle Eminem done when he was young. In this song, he disses a Black woman whom he used to date. The rapper demanded the magazine to cease publishing of his song.

Benzino refused and aired out the entire song in full. Eminem's publishing company sued The Source and won a hefty amount.

In 2005, Benzino and Dave Mays were let go after Black Enterprises took over the struggling magazine.

Benzino and Mays both went on to create another hip-hop magazine called Hip-Hop Weekly. The Weekly is a gossip rag that covers issues such as the hip-hop feuds and controversy in politics. Benzino and Mays continue to make themselves relevant in these tough times.
_______________________

Benzino realized that he's getting older and the music people are listening to isn't his! He promotes himself as the gangsta rapper who hailed from the "mean streets" of Boston. The American hip-hop listener likes catchy beats and easy to remember hooks. Nothing about the complex struggle in the streets. No tales of hustling to eat and running from the police.

What Benzino failed to do in his feud with Eminem is actually know who he's dealing with.

At the time of this feud, Benzino and his partner Dave Mays were in charge of the hip-hop magazine, The Source. In January 2003, the rapper released multiple disses going after Eminem, his group D12 and 50 Cent. Benzino teamed up with 50 Cent's rival Ja Rule to go after Eminem.

Eminem went to the microphone and literally destroyed Benzino's career and credibility as a fair journalist.

It took over 10 years. Benzino finally admits that he lost the rap feud and Eminem deserves respect. He apologizes to Eminem during an interview with Sway Calloway of MTV and Shade45.

Eminem appears on Aftermath Entertainment. He is affiliated with Shady Records.

Fox Nation: That Lazy N****r Van Jones Is A Racist Communist!

Arianna Huffington is co-chair of AOL News and Entertainment. Her world famous blog The Huffington Post beats out conservative blogger Matt Drudge's The Drudge Report in a 4:1 margin. But that hasn't stopped the founder Matt Drudge and his affiliate website The Fox Nation. These news agitation websites attract conservatives, and likely white supremacists. These folks can't stand the first Black president and the guy they claim is a "devout Communist racist!" The Fox Nation comes forth with a picture that Arianna Huffington took with her iPhone. The picture of Van Jones, former Obama adviser sleeping in a pod at the AOL Huffington Post office.

Van Jones the co-founder of The Color Of Change is pushing forth a national boycott against Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. His organization allied with rapper Nas to deliver a petition to Roger Alies, the CEO of the company. Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity are notorious conservative agitators. They've pushed the bar lower when it comes to driving wedge issues between the president and the American voters. The liberal activist has been in the crosshairs of the conservative media. They were upset that Jones called the Republicans a bunch of "assholes" for the constant gridlock and desires to defeat President Barack Obama.

Civil Rights activist Van Jones.
Jones is a co-founder of three non-profit organizations. In 1996, he founded the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, a California non-governmental organization (NGO) working for alternatives to violence. In 2005, he co-founded Color of Change, an advocacy group for African Americans. In 2007, he founded Green For All, a national NGO dedicated to "building an inclusive green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty." His first book, The Green Collar Economy, was released on October 7, 2008, and reached number 12 on the New York Times Best Seller list. In 2008, Time magazine named Jones one of its "Heroes of the Environment". Fast Company called him one of the "12 Most Creative Minds of 2008".

In March 2009 Jones was appointed by President Barack Obama to the newly created position of Special Advisor for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, where he worked with various "agencies and departments to advance the administration's climate and energy initiatives, with a special focus on improving vulnerable communities."

In July 2009 he became "embroiled in a controversy" over his past political activities, including a public comment disparaging congressional Republicans, his name appearing on a petition for 911Truth.org, and allegations of association with a Marxist group during the 1990s. For these issues, Van Jones was heavily criticized by conservatives. Jones resigned from the position in early September 2009."On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me," Jones said in his resignation statement. "They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide."

Jones is currently a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress and a senior policy advisor at Green For All. Jones also holds a joint appointment at Princeton University, as a distinguished visiting fellow in both the Center for African American Studies and in the Program in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.

Too bad the rat b a s t a r d woke up.

This is what you've expect from those in the conservative movement. A bunch of reactionary bigots who think they know what it's like to be a "patriot"! Everyone who doesn't support their views are the enemy.

We really should be upset over how they type comments. They have the worst spelling and grammar mistakes by far. Yet, they know everything and if you tell them facts, they'll think it's a bunch of liberal lies.
