Drake Shocks The Junk Food Media By Releasing Surprise Album!

One more and I'm done. He's trying to bounce from YMCMB. It's official Cash Money Records is going through a Too Big To Fail moment.

While Cash Money is going through some serious conflict, Canadian entertainer Aubrey "Drake" Graham is putting at least some of his conflict aside to drop a "surprise" album this week.

On memorable line from the album comes from 6PM in New York where Drake aims at Tyga.

"I heard a lil lil homie talking reckless in Vibe/ Quite a platform you chose, you shoulda kept it inside/ Oh you tried, it’s so childish calling my name on the world stage/ You need to act your age and not your girl’s age".

Drake's mixtape (album) is called If You're Reading This, It's Too Late.

If You're Reading This It's Too Late is the fourth studio album.

One more album and Drake can officially go free agent. He's been determined to leave Cash Money and Young Money for some time now.

It was released on February 13, 2015 by Cash Money Records, Young Money Entertainment, and OVO Sound. Drake and his longtime producer Noah "40" Shebib are the executive producers. It features Lil' Wayne, Travi$ Scott and his OVO label artist PartyNextDoor.

The album was released onto iTunes with no prior announcement. The album precedes his previously announced upcoming fifth studio album, Views From The 6. The album is a mixtape marketed as an album in order to free himself from his contract with Cash Money.

Lil' Wayne is currently feuding with the label over Bryan "Birdman" Williams pushing back The Carter V. The rapper also express annoyance at Birdman solely focusing on Atlanta based rappers Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan through his own Rich Gang label and leaving him, Tyga and Nicki Minaj on the sidelines.

Tyga is also engaged in a feud with Birdman and Drake. Alleged rumors of the rapper dating Kylie Jenner has the media buzzing about the under 21 step sister of Kim Kardashian hanging around with a truly thuggish rapper.

Drake is engaged in not only feuds with Tyga but even Sean "Diddy" Combs. They had an apparent altercation.

Some entertainers in the music industry are putting tight lips on leaks. Eminem, Beyonce, Jay-Z and now Drake are releasing surprise albums to fulfill the demand.

Singing Hearts!

John Legend marries swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen.

John Legend is a married man. The American singer has officially married Chrissy Teigen in a wedding ceremony in Italy.

The legendary singer was one of the first artists signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music and Sony Music.

He is a nine time Grammy award singer and entertainer. He also is a goodwill ambassador and a huge supporter and friend of President Barack Obama.

Born John Roger Stephens (born December 28, 1978) in Springfield, Ohio. He is one of four children of Phyllis, a seamstress, and Ronald Stephens, a factory worker and former National Guardsman.

Paparazzi snapped the picture of the couple in Italy getting married.
Throughout his childhood, Legend was homeschooled on and off by his mother. At age four, he began playing the piano and at age seven, he performed with his church choir. In 1987, when he was ten, his parents divorced. At the age of twelve, Legend attended North High School, from which he graduated four years later. Upon his salutatorian graduation, Legend was offered scholarships to Harvard University, Georgetown University and Morehouse College.

He attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied English with an emphasis on African American literature.

While in college, he helmed Counterparts, a co-ed jazz and pop a cappella group as president and musical director. Legend's lead vocals on the group's recording of Joan Osborne's "One of Us" received critical acclaim landing the song on the track list of the 1998 Best of Collegiate a Cappella compilation CD.

Legend was also a member of the prestigious senior societies Sphinx Senior Society and Onyx Senior Honor Society while an undergraduate at Penn. While in college, Legend was introduced to Lauryn Hill by a friend. Hill hired him to play piano on "Everything Is Everything", a song from her album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

During this period, Legend took time to hold a number of shows around Philadelphia, eventually expanding his audience base to New York, Boston, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. He finished college in 1999, and thereafter began producing, writing, and recording his own music. He released two albums independently; his self-titled demo (2000) and Live at Jimmy's Uptown (2001), which he sold at his shows. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Legend began working as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group.

During this time, he began working on his demo and began sending his work to various record labels.

In 2001, Devo Springsteen introduced Legend to then up-and-coming hip-hop artist Kanye West; Legend was hired to sing during the hooks of West's music.
Common, Kanye West and John Legend.
After signing to West's label, he chose his stage name from an idea that was given to him by poet J. Ivy, due to what he perceived "old-school sound". J. Ivy stated, "I heard your music and it reminds me of that music from the old school. You sound like one of the legends. As a matter of fact, that's what I'm going to call you from now on! I'm going to call you John Legend." After J. Ivy continued to call him by the new moniker "John Legend," others quickly caught on, including Kanye West, and the name stuck. In spite of John's reluctance to change his stage name to John Legend he eventually announced his new artist name as John Legend.

People Magazine reports that John Legend and Chrissy Teigen made it official when they exchanged vows in front of friends and family in Lake Como, Italy on Saturday.

The model bride wore a strapless ivory Vera Wang gown with an open back, lifted tulle skirt and hand-cut petal embroidered details, which she described to PEOPLE as "kind of [having] a sexier feel at the top, like a swimsuit, so I have to get my body ready. I have to buckle down."

Teigen changed into another strapless ivory Vera Wang dress for the reception – the design featured a micro-pleated bodice and sheared organza full skirt.

And at the after-party she had a third Vera Wang design of the night – a crimson strapless mermaid gown with a hand-draped bodice, inverted flange skirt and embroidered crystal wheat detail.

The nuptials follow a seven-year courtship for the couple, who became engaged in 2011 while vacationing together in the Maldives.

Earlier this year, Teigen, 27, told PEOPLE her Grammy-winning groom, 34, would perform his new song "All of Me" at the wedding, which was written for her.

John Legend, Jamie Foxx, Nick Jonas and Seal perform at The White House. John Legend is a friend of Barack and Michelle Obama.
"He writes a lot of love songs, but this one is specifically about me so it makes it more special," Teigen told PEOPLE in May. "My Dad even cries when I play it for him in the car."

The model bride was so careful about preparing her figure for the frock that her bachelorette party included Pilates classes.

But despite her rigorous attention to her physique, she says she was much more laid-back about wedding planning overall.

"[John] and I have been working and traveling so much that we just let our wedding planner do everything," Teigen told PEOPLE in May. "We're not neurotic about it. I just want to finally see all of my friends in one area."

But she cops to being a bit more involved in one aspect of the wedding – the cake.

"I'm not a big sweets person, which is why I'm really specific about the cake, which is going to be a really multi-layer cake," she told PEOPLE in June. "It's layers and layers of crepe and pastry creme in between with raspberry sauce."

With the wedding behind them, perhaps now is the time the couple will start thinking about all those kids Legend told PEOPLE he wants.

"We'd like to have kids," he said in May. "I grew up in a family with four kids, so I think three or four is a good number. We don't plan it. We just do it."

We here at Journal de la Reyna wish John Legend and Chrissy Teigen well. The Stephens are a perfect couple. Beautiful and very intelligent couple.

The Tupac Legacy!

http://www.imagozone.com/var/albums/vedete/Tupac%20Shakur/Tupac%20Shakur%20w%201.jpg?m=1293082413
Entertainer death occurred on September 13, 1996.

At often times I would reflect on the lives of entertainers we've lost. I reflect on where I was and how I reacted to the death of someone you've come to recognize! And even though you've never met that entertainer, you felt like the entertainer was a friend or family member.

I was only 15 years old at the time when I've heard of his death.

I remember I was in the marching band during a high school football game. A lot of hearsay was coming from members of the band saying they've heard that Tupac was shot. At the beginning I didn't believe it.

We all knew that 'Pac would get shot and he would be out the next day. Somehow that was just fantasy.

He was shot on September 7, 1996 on the Las Vegas strip. They put him in a medically induced coma and would later die on September 13, 1996.

It would spawn the conspiracies that Shakur would be hiding somewhere waiting to drop another dope album.

After all he took on the Makaveli moniker during his final years as an entertainer.

Tupac Shakur survived a near fatal shooting in 1994. He fingered many New York based rappers for the attempted murder. He singled out Christopher Wallace, aka The Notorious B.I.G..

When people got the word that he would die of his injuries, people were actually crying in sorrow. His death shocked the nation. A man who told tales of the Black community while even questioning those who lead in it, was dead at the age of 25.

It made it clear that if you're a Black or Latino man and you've lived pass 25, it's considered an accomplishment. Many young men growing up in poorer neighborhoods never get to see their 25th birthday if they associate with the elements of NIGGER.

Tupac Amuru Shakur was one of the most famous and yet controversial entertainers. He was probably one of your favorite rappers.

I know I was a fan of the often brash and yet poetic rapper who told tales of the life as a NIGGA. He gave America the real definition of being a thug. A thug with a heart.

A rapper who knew how to make alot friends and a money. A rapper who made a lot of enemies.

A rapper who inspired others to enter the booth and rap a verse.

Without Tupac Shakur, you wouldn't have entertainers like Eminem, Ludacris, The Game, Kanye West, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka Flame, Nelly, Drake, Future, Rick Ross, Lil' Wayne, and Nicki Minaj.

2Pac and briefly as Makaveli, was an American rapper and actor.

Shakur has sold over 75 million albums worldwide as of 2010, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. MTV ranked him at number two on their list of The Greatest MCs of All Time and Rolling Stone named him the 86th Greatest Artist of All Time.

His double disc album All Eyez on Me is one of the best selling hip hop albums of all time.

Shakur began his career as a roadie, backup dancer, and MC for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground, eventually branching off as a solo artist. The themes of most of Shakur's songs revolved around the violence and hardship in inner cities, racism and other social problems. Both of his parents and several other of his family were members of the Black Panther Party, whose ideals were reflected in his songs.

During the latter part of his career, Shakur was a vocal participant in the so-called East Coast–West Coast hip hop rivalry, becoming involved in conflicts with other rappers, producers and record-label staff members, most notably The Notorious B.I.G. and his label Bad Boy Records.

On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane in Las Vegas, Nevada. He would later die of his injuries on September 13, 1996.

He was the stable of the rap label Death Row Records. The lost him spelled the end of the record label.

His murder will continue to be an open case.

We'll miss ya 'Pac.

I'll pour a lil' liquor in your name!

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to those who were lost in gun violence.

The Game Tats Trayvon Close To His Heart!

Entertainer gets a Trayvon Martin tattoo.

A few days ago, I peeped the internet for celebrity news agitation. Once in a while, I happen to stumble across that Compton rapper who always seems to have a message to the latest events tatted somewhere on his body.

The Game (Jayecon Taylor) is very active in the studio and follows the news wires on the latest issues in America. The rapper is preparing for reality television and wants to record his sixth album.

Last year he released J3sus Piece (Jesus Piece) on Interscope and featured Big Sean, Lil' Wayne, Tyga, Future, Young Jeezy. J. Cole and Jamie Foxx.

It attracted controversy because it depicted the rapper as Jesus of The Nazareth being a Blood member.

The Turd Flipper and the rapper traded insults online and the public sector. This will piss her off again.

Well the rapper wanted to show solidarity towards most of Black America. We're still pissed over the George Zimmerman verdict.

Last month, "We Black Folk" didn't loot and riot! Squashing the dreams of the racist right. They've predicted "us Black folk" would riot and loot if George Zimmerman would walk free in the shooting and killing of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin.
Trayvon Martin inked on the back arm of rapper Game.
Zimmerman was acquitted of murder and he walked free. Free to do whatever stupid thing he'll be caught in.

Many of "us Black folk" were concerned that we would react violently to the decision. Of course the racist right wanted to make the case for Chris Lane by claiming the teenagers who killed him were "flaming hot racists" mad over the decision and every Black on White crime has to be "for Trayvon".

The racist right may chant all the stories in the world about Black criminals. That's fine.

But it hasn't stop the March On Washington. It didn't stop the president from expressing his concerns about how Whites picture "us Black folk" as "natural born criminals". It didn't stop people like The Game from recording songs about Trayvon Martin or even showing an ounce of support.

See the entertainer is a father too and his children could be the next Trayvon.

Artistic Element’s Roman Abrego – the tattoo artist for rapper and reality TV show star The Game –shared through Instagram video The Game’s new tattoo. It shows Martin’s hooded photo in permanent ink on his leg. The hooded picture of Martin has been a sign of symbolism at different protests, where many wore one dedicated to the victim.

Other entertainers have also been paying their respects to Martin. During her show in Tennessee, Beyonce asked concertgoers for a moment of silence after the jury came back from deliberation. Rapper Young Jeezy released a song “It’s A Cold World” as a tribute to Martin.

The fatal shooting of the 17-year-old Martin on Feb. 26, 2012 in Sanford, Fla. became one of the most controversial trials of the year.\

George Zimmerman, the neighborhood-watch volunteer who fatally shot Martin in the altercation, was acquitted by a jury of second degree murder and manslaughter charges last month. The reaction to the verdict led to protests and marches of people contesting the “stand-your-ground” law, which is a type of self-defense law that gives someone the right to use deadly force to defend themselves.

While the Martin family, famous politicians and protesters fight to have the “stand-your ground” law removed, others are using their entertainment status to make a difference.

Did you know that someone created a game based off the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman situation?

A person created an Android phone app that created a scenario in which the thug kills White people. The app was pulled after a huge backlash.

The Game appears on Interscope Records.

LovelyTi2002 elaborates on the controversy.

Chris Brown: I'm Quitting!

It's like the umpteenth time the entertainer said he'll give up something. The entertainer wants to quit the music business.

Either he's getting ready to face time in the iron college or his upcoming album is likely to bomb, the 24-year old entertainer once again saying that done with music business.

This year, the Los Angeles Supreme Court has revoked the entertainer's probation after he got into a confrontation with a woman over a fender bender. The entertainer tried to play the "I get back with ya" excuse when he showed off his Virginia license instead of his current residency license. He lives in Los Angeles. The neighbors are none to happy about his antics in the neighborhood.

So says the entertainer: The music business is too stressful. He's tired of being scrutinized for the incident.

He's tired of being the whipping boy for the celebrity news agitators.

So he goes to a place where he feels comfortable to sing his woes.

The social networks.

Like this the umpteenth time the entertainer would say he's "done" with something. For one thing, he once claimed he was "done with Twitter". But yet he's still on there. After all he's proud of his 12 million followers.

He said that he's over Rihanna. But after two years and the restraining order lifted, the entertainer has dated on and off with the Barbadian singer. He recently broke up with her again. He even tattooed a "battered" woman on his neck as a symbol of the entertainers chronicles with Rihanna.

He's promoting his album X which includes the single "Fine China". It's not buzzing.

They're popping in their iPods and smart phones rappers like Drake, Lil' Wayne, Future, Rick Ross and 2 Chainz.

Drake is a music rival to the entertainer and they've traded barbs (lyrics) and fists. He also traded some barbs and fists with Frank Ocean of Odd Future.

All the negative publicity from his celebrity feuds have become devastating to his career.

As you can tell he scrubbed his August 6 tweets in which he said he's done with the music. But we can find it through the sources.

He's not retiring or quitting the entertainment industry. He's just doing what most entertainers do when they've had a bad day, they bitch about it. Hoping the junk food media picks up on it.

This is the latest example of the train wreck culture that lands people like him, Lindsey Lohan, Amanda Bynes, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Charlie Sheen and Alec Baldwin in the messes they're in.

Chris Brown appears on RCA Records.

Already Platinum!

Shawn Corey Carter, professionally known as Jay-Z released his album and it was certified platinum.

Jay-Z appears on Roc-A-Fella Records and Roc Nation, LLC.

The Recording Industry Association of America which is the standard of entertainers and scorn of illegal downloaders has certified Magna Carta Holy Grail. Another notch on the belt.

Samsung and the media mogul have teamed up for the release.

The album features guest appearances by Rick Ross (Def Jam), Nas (Def Jam), Justin Timberlake (RCA), Beyonce Knowles (Sony Music Group), and Frank Ocean (Def Jam) among others.

Production on the album was primarily handled by Timbaland and Jerome "J-Roc" Harmon, while also featuring production by Boi-1da, Mike Will Made It, Hit-Boy, Mike Dean, No ID, The-Dream, Swizz Beatz, and Pharrell Williams among others.

Magna Carta... Holy Grail was met with mixed reviews from music critics upon its release. On the day of its physical release in the United States, the album was certified Platinum by the RIAA for shipments of over 1,000,000 copies due to the unprecedented deal with Samsung.

Despite the hearsay, Jay-Z released another project and the public went right to it.

He went to official Twitter page to share thoughts with the fans.

Also this is the first album release from the media mogul that has limited play on urban and pop radio stations.

Kanye West (Roc-A-Fella/G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam) has released his album Yeezus with little promotion and radio play as well.

Both entertainers are reclusive and rarely give public interviews.

Why should he?

He's probably one of the richest rappers in American history. He's sealed his name in pop culture.

Mr. Carter is looking for his spot in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum. Hopefully this release will help secure a spot for him.

...Never Enough Children!

A great father's day story. A man who is in court for unpaid child support for his 22 children. He only 33-years old and he has more children than most rappers and sports figures. No offense to Shawty Lo.

Okay, I am starting to see why the Black father is always anchored as a dead beat. Check out the father from the Nashville, Tennessee area.

Orlando Shaw is only 33 years old and the man has 22 children and 14 women who raised them.

This brother makes rapper Shawty Lo looks like a saint.

Nashville family court wants this man to pay up on the child support. My question to these people reading:

How come these women didn't know this man had more than five children?

Shaw explains, "I was young and ambitious and I loved women. Hey, you can’t knock no man for loving women."

Speaking outside a Nashville courthouse, Shaw fudged the numbers when he said (incorrectly) he has "roughly 18" children with 17 women.
At least he has the money to pay for all his baby mamas!
It is estimated the government pays more than US$7000 ($7293) per month to help support all his children.

Magistrate Scott Rosenberg said Shaw would have to take three or four full-time jobs to even come close to paying the child support he owes.

Shaw, however, says his criminal record is an impediment to employment. "I can’t pay no child support right now," he says. "I go everywhere looking for a job. Where am I going to get one with my lengthy record?"

He has a plan though. "I play the hell out of the Tennessee lottery," he says.
Before he got dreads, this is Orlando Shaw.

He also says he does not plan to have any more children. "I want to be fixed," he says.

Glad he's not in North Carolina. If the Republicans had their way, he would have not been able to play the lottery under their intrusion act that prevents dead beat parents and those on assistance from playing.

Glad he's not Shawty Lo. He would be all on Loserville being mentioned by That Guy Who Helped Obama Win or Bill-O. After all the rapper gets a reality show and it was canceled because of the outrage from those in the junk food media.

Sure thing he's not splashed on That Guy Who Throws Shit On The Wall.

I bet he's already mentioned on one of those White supremacist shitholes.

Will someone blame President Barack Obama for this man's behavior?

Sure enough, if he was castrated he wouldn't populate the planet. He wants to lose his manhood!

They're got to be more than just Black women. There's probably White women or interracial women who fell in love with this man.

Is there something I'm missing? Do I need dreads to attract women?

Shawty Lo appears on Asylum Records. He is affiliated with G-Unit.

Chris Brown Agitates Feud With Drake!

Hip-hop singers take their feud into the studio.

Chris Brown told the public to "not judge him" but yet he's on the microphone rapping a verse going after his foes in the hip-hop community.

Tighten your tight jeans, it's a celebrity feud.

Aubrey Graham known as Drake is a the hottest MC in the game.

Drake, Lil' Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, and Future are the must have entertainers to spit a verse. They seem to be in constant radio rotation.

Most rappers of the 1993 - 2004 era are entering the late 30s and 40s. Their music isn't selling so well.

Frank Ocean accepts a Grammy while Chris Brown done a silent protest. Adele sitting nearby engaged in a discussion about Brown's antics in the public.
In order to keep themselves relevant they need these entertainers to revive their image.

Chris Brown on the other hand, is spiraling downward. He and Rihanna (born Robyn Fenty) are very annoying entertainers. Besides the reconciliation, it's the antics both entertainers carry when they're in the public or in the studio.

Brown, 23 was the teen idol of the mid 2000s. Ladies love him, because he was on his "cool"!

He and Rihanna came out around the time when hip-hop music reached its peak. The rap music industry is still around, but it's struggling. Not many rappers make it to Platinum. If you're not Eminem, Drake, Lil' Wayne, Nicki Minaj or Jay-Z, you're Gold  or you just suck!

He was riding high at the peak of his career. All that changed in 2009, when he let that explosive temper get the best of him. While attending the Grammy's, Brown gets into it with Rihanna and they ended up fighting. Brown hit Rihanna and injured her. He was arrested and sentenced to community service. Since he's been on community service, he's lashed out at the media. He throw a tamper tantrum at Robin Roberts of ABC News when she asked him about the situation.

He got into a fight at a New York nightclub in which he, Drake and another rapper named Meek Mill got into a fight and the bottles thrown. Broken glass and the mini-riot injured Tony Parker, a NBA star.

Brown makes his presence known for all the wrong reasons. He started a feud with Raz B over allegations that boy band creator Chris Stokes when the singer was accused of homosexual acts while on tour. The book came out revealing Raz B was molested by Stokes.

Brown got into a heated Twitter fight with comedian/writer Jenny Johnson. The celebrity feud managed to hit the internet. Brown was attacking Johnson by "slut-shaming" and calling for "tragic events" to happen upon her. Johnson criticized him for the tattoo of a battered woman on his face.

British singer Adele confronted him after the Grammy's because of his antics during the acceptance speech of Frank Ocean. Brown didn't stand in applause for Ocean. Brown got into a heated confrontation with the rapper/singer after he argued over studio time and a parking space.

Recently he got into it with a parking valet attendant in Los Angeles after the singer refused to pay a tip.

Now here he goes again, talking smack about Drake and Frank Ocean.

On the remix of Young Jeezy's R.I.P., Chris Brown raps a verse that seems to take a dig at Drake and Frank Ocean.

In the verse, Brown states:

R.I.P. to the V.I.P.
I got my lil' niggas in the club, fuck I.D.
My niggas kill at will, give you black eyed peas
And the molly make the white girl look Chinese
Always Bre, my niggas out here ballin'
And all these fake ass artists, y'all niggas out here drawin'
Ok now dearly departed I bought a plane, I departed
And if you started from the bottom gon' and come out the closet
You problematic, I bought them rachets and automatics
Clip hold 32, I make you feel the Magic
You gon' see the flashes, like you in a pageant
All black suits, and them long Caddys.

Drake did respond back. On 5am in Toronto, the latest single on Drake's upcoming album.

The part I love most is they need me more than they hate me
So they never take shots, I got everybody on safety
I could load every gun with bullets that fire backwards
You probably wouldn't lose a single rapper
Niggas make threats, can't hear 'em over the laughter
Yeah, that's cause I'm headed to the bank, nigga
Sinatra lifestyle, I'm just being frank with you
I mean, where you think she at when she ain't with you?
Wildin', doin' shit that's way out of your budget
Owl sweaters inside her luggage, you gotta love it
Damn, this shit could go on a tape
Bitches lovin' my drive, I never give it a break
Give these niggas the look, the verse, and even the hook
That's why every song sound like Drake featuring Drake
Str8, Y pree? Why is it always me?

For one thing, Drake doesn't dye his hair blonde. Two, there's no accusations of homosexuality in Drake (unlike the accusations thrown by Raz-B towards Chris Brown). Three, Drake dated Rihanna. Rihanna racked up many boyfriends like Elizabeth Taylor, Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez.

Chris Brown wasn't Rihanna's first boyfriend. And he will not be her last.

Brown is washed up and his career is tanking. Look at him now, he's getting his paper (by means of lawsuits and restraining orders)!

Dionne Warwick Couldn't Predict Her Trip To The Poor House!

Dionne Warwick's money woes are an issue today! Warwick, famous singer and actress files for bankruptcy.

Sometime ago, Dionne Warwick was telling the public that our youth couldn't spell because of rappers like Snoop Doggy Dogg. Back in the 1990s at the peak of gangster rap, many Black leaders and White conservatives were throwing their crap to the wall hoping it would stick.

She joined C. Delores Tucker, Brent Bozell and Joe Lieberman in stomping on the music CDs of Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur.

Yeah, I remember she was part of the Psychic Friends Network. She was selling the hustle of predicting the future.

Yeah, I also remember that she was busted in Hawaii with a little of the sticky icky.

Now I can remember that the famous singer is now broke, literally. And she couldn't predict this demise?

The cousin of Whitney Houston is now sitting on the verge of being out of money. The famous singer has made an appearance in U.S. Bankruptcy court to file for backruptcy. She owing over $10 million in taxes.

Warwick has been spending like a queen and not putting it on paper.

The Raw Story reports that her problems are due to the reported mismanagement of her business affairs, she lists liabilities that include nearly $7 million owed to the Internal Revenue Service for the years 1991 to 1999 and more than $3 million in business taxes owed to the state of California. Unable to work out an agreement with tax officials, she and her attorney decided that declaring bankruptcy would be the best course of action.

Warwick lives off of her performance income, which varies from month to month, and a monthly $14,000 pension from the Screen Actors Guild, said her attorney, Daniel M. Stolz. She also receives $1,000 in royalties a month, according to the petition.

Stolz said Warwick paid more than $1 million toward back taxes she owes, but because of interest and penalties, her tax liability "continued to mushroom."

"It was a small liability in the 90's but it kept growing and growing," he said.

Stolz said Warwick tried to work out payment plans to the Internal Revenue Service and the California Franchise Tax Board for taxes owed. The plans, he said, were rejected.

"She really had no choice," than to file for bankruptcy, Stolz said.

"Ms. Warwick is a very proud woman and was reluctant to file."

Warwick, the aunt of vocalist Cissy Houston and cousin of the late Whitney Houston, comes from a long line of singers. A graduate of East Orange High School, Warwick got her start in gospel and released her first single, "Don't Make Me Over" in 1962.
Legendary rapper, Snoop Dogg goes to the reggae outlet for his next album. He transitions to Snoop Lion.
Earlier this month before filing for bankruptcy, she performed in Red Bank and was presented the key to her native East Orange.

Now I know we here at Journal de la Reyna hope the best for her! It's pretty clear, that for all the years of grandstanding and attacking others for reckless behavior, it's no surprise she would be in the spotlight.

I mean she attacked Snoop Dogg for smoking weed, yet she smokes it too.

She blames hip-hop music for being Black America's downfall, but she does things that give White conservatives a reason to see Blacks as a part of the downfall.

This adds to the list of Black entertainers who owe taxes. By the way, Snoop Dogg (known for now as Snoop Lion) also owes the tax man for some unclaimed funds.

What Happen To Lil' Kim? [NSFW]

Brooklyn's don diva is......whoa!

The 4'11" rapper/model/reality star known as the "Queen Bee" of hip-hop hasn't done much lately.

Besides the feuds with longtime foes Foxy Brown and Nicki Minaj, it's been relatively low profile for Kim.

Kimberly Denise Jones born July 11, 1974 grew up on the streets of Brooklyn., New York. Getting involved in the rap scene she met her mentor Christopher Wallace who developed the street name Biggie Smalls (but best the nationally as the Notorious B.I.G.). She got involved in the rap scene around the early 1990s and worked on singles with Biggie and his friends Lil' Cease, Capone and Bugsy. As the lieutenant of Notorious B.I.G.'s clique Junior M.A.F.I.A. broke into the rap scene with her witty and oftentimes sexually explicit lines.

The album Conspiracy went on to become gold and gave the Brooklyn rapper a chance to break out on her own. The debut album Hardcore was produced by little known Sean "Puffy" Combs who went on to establish his own label Bad Boy. Lil' Kim went double platinum on her album and launched her as a mainstream act.

She was featured on the single, "Lady Marmalade", which also had guest vocals by fellow recording artists Mýa, Pink and Christina Aguilera (a remake of the 1975 smash hit, originally recorded by LaBelle) which went to #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100, making her the first female rapper to have a #1 on that chart.

Between her highs and lows, Lil' Kim knew how to impress and sometimes shock the paparazzi.

The most memorable moment of Lil' Kim was the VMA awards in which she had a pallet covering one of her breast and Diana Ross (her idol) groped her in front of millions.

During her rise, she, Combs, and Biggie were engaged in a feud with the West Coast rappers. The Notorious B.I.G. was singled out by rapper Tupac Shakur in the attempted robbery and shooting of him outside a studio in 1994. The rappers were cordial in the beginning but things turned sour after allegations of Tupac Shakur made the claim that he slept with Biggie's then wife Faith Evans.

Biggie was accused by some in the hip-hop media of having numerous affairs on Faith Evans. One being Lil' Kim and Charli Baltimore, a Queens based rapper who was affiliated with Junior M.A.F.I.A..

She also was known to wear shocking outfits.

Her lowest point of her career was the prison time she served for "not snitchin" on her crew during a dispute with longtime rival Foxy Brown. She was charged with perjury in a federal court in regards to a shooting outside a recording studio. She spent a year in a federal prison and was then released.

The most embarrassing moment in her career was the local news crew coming to her home. They filmed a debt collector and towing service tow away her expensive Bentley vehicle after she had broken an engagement to Scott Storch.

Lil' Kim has appeared on reality television shows such as The Apprentice and Dance With The Stars.

Lil' Kim made an appearance on the Bravo reality series Pregnant in Heels.

Lil' Kim appeared in movies and television series. She is friends with celebrities such as Missy Elliott, Da Brat, Mary J. Blige, former wrestler Trish Stratus, Pamela Anderson and Debbie Harry.

The Daily Mail reports that the 38-year-old showing off her remarkably smooth skin and opted to keep warm in a huge fur coat over her tight leather dress as he headed into MTV studios to film Rap Fix Live.

Fans of the Put Your Lighters Up rapper didn't seem to notice her startling appearance and took to Twitter to commend the tiny brunette. with one user writing: 'QUEEN WE LOVE YOU Nicki Minaj is trash.'

The Lady Marmalade star topped off her fierce look with lashings of red lipstick, some thick false lashes and a chunky gold necklace.

Her hair was left loose around her shoulders and she seemed relaxed when she appeared on the show, unlike when she was questioned over her potential surgery last year on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club.

The pint-sized star got offended when quizzed about the subject, saying: 'Why would you ask me that?'

Now you can see a few of the pictures that were obtained through The Daily Mail. And even though, I still think Lil' Kim is the girlfriend of my dreams, it's today that I will kindly tell her, that she really screwed up on this one.

Reason why I say there NSFW is because it's........................Terrible.

The art of self-promotion: Lil Kim purses her lips as she arrives in New York - the rapper has been under fire for her extreme plastic surgery
Controversial: Lil Kim covers up with a huge fur coat - the 4ft 11in star also opted for some sky-high wedges
Head down: Lil Kim smiles as she wanders around NYC - she completed her look with a chunk gold necklace
Rapper Lil Kim Lady in fur: Lil' Kim looks pleased to be back on the scene

Now I am going to be honest. It's not pretty, but far better than Joan Rivers and her daughter.

Lil' Kim you're beautiful and that's a fact. But damn girl, that plastic surgery is going to have you looking like a train wreck. Keep it real, Kim.

We all age naturally. Please don't do something that may end your career!

Mississippi Mayoral Candidate Killed! | Las Vegas Shooting Kills Inspiring Rapper!

Marco McMillian (left) and Kenny Clutch's (right) lives were gunned down by individuals who didn't care about their inspiring careers. These two made the national news.

Another twofer. Two urban tragedies in a week made the national news.

Of course these stories made it to the national circuit. The conservative/white supremacist bubble practically saw two individuals who happen to be Black. One being a rapper and another being a gay man running for office.

The conservative/white supremacists thoughts of a Black murder victim.

In the conservative/white supremacist bubble, you'll expect the word vomit of hate to flow down a comment section. The usual word vomit includes racial slurs, Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Trayvon Martin, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson. They insert political warfare and the usual blame the Niggers not the guns excuse.

And there you have it, a reactionary bigot responding to a tragedy in the Black community.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to Kenny Clutch, Michael Bolden, Sandra Sutton-Wasmund and Marco McMillian. Each of these victims died in senseless tragedies.

First we'll start with the victim of the Las Vegas shooting. Kenny Clutch, born Kenneth Cherry, Jr. was a 26 year old inspiring rapper who was gunned down. His shooter and person of interest were finally caught.

Clutch and the shooter were in a high speed chase and the gunman shot at his Maserati. The Maserati crashed into a taxi cab killing the driver and a passenger.

Ammar Harris was caught by the FBI.
CBS News reports that Ammar Harris, suspect in a Las Vegas Strip shooting and subsequent fiery car crash that left three dead, has been arrested in Los Angeles, according to police.

Las Vegas police Capt. Chris Jones says Ammar Harris, a felon, was arrested Thursday by a team of police and federal agents in Studio City.

The 26-year-old is a self-described pimp who was the subject of a multi-state manhunt following the Feb. 21 gunfire and chain-reaction crash that killed three and injured at least five.

Police say he fired at least five shots into a Maserati sports car, killing aspiring rapper Wayne Cherry Jr. who he argued with earlier in the valet area of a Las Vegas Strip resort.

Mortally wounded, Cherry accelerated and slammed into a taxi cab that burst into flames, killing cab driver Michael Boldon and his passenger, Sandra Sutton-Wasmund of Maple Valley, Washington.

According to CBS Miami, Harris was arrested in Miami Beach last December for reckless driving. Police say he was also cited for driving without a valid license.

The FBI is also looking into Harris' history as a "self-proclaimed" pimp. He is also under investigation for child abuse, sexual assault and weapons possession.

Yeah, another tragedy. An openly gay mayoral candidate was gunned down near his home. This is a controversy brewing down in Mississippi. The mayoral candidate by the name of Marco McMillian was found dead. The prospect of this individual running for higher office was shattered by a gun tragedy. The shooter was caught and the FBI and Coahoma County Sheriff are wondering what inspired this individual to kill a man with a promising career.

CBS News reports that a 22-year-old man (assuming McMillian's boyfriend) was charged with murder Thursday in the death of a mayoral candidate in the Mississippi Delta.

The Coahoma County Sheriff's Department said in a news release that Lawrence Reed of Shelby was charged in the death of Marco McMillian. McMillian, 34, was a candidate for mayor of Clarksdale and was well-known in the community and beyond.

An investigation began Tuesday when a man crashed McMillian's SUV into another car on U.S. Highway 49 near the Coahoma and Tallahatchie county lines. The candidate wasn't in the car.

McMillian's body was found near the Mississippi River levee Wednesday morning between Sherard and Rena Lara, Coahoma County Coroner Scotty Meredith has said.
Lawrence Reed, 22, is charged with the murder of Marco McMillian
Lawrence Reed was arrested in the death of Marco McMillian
The body was sent for an autopsy, and the cause of death hasn't been made public.

"There's a lot of people upset about it," said Dennis Thomas, 33, who works at Abe's Barbeque.

"Why would somebody want to do something like that to somebody of that caliber? He was a highly respected person in town," Thomas said.

The sheriff's department has not released a possible motive for the crime.

Campaign spokesman Jarod Keith has said McMillian's campaign was noteworthy because he may have been the first openly gay man to be a viable candidate for public office in Mississippi.

McMillian, who was black, had forged ties while serving for four years as international executive director of the historically black Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. Photos on McMillian's website and Facebook page show him with a younger Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton and with U.S. Rep. John Lewis, a Georgia Democrat.

McMillian was CEO of MWM & Associates, described on its website as a consulting firm for nonprofit organizations. In addition to his role at the fraternity from 2007 to 2011, McMillian had previously worked to raise funds as executive assistant to the president at Alabama A&M University and as assistant to the vice president at Jackson State University, according to his campaign.

A statement from the fraternity said he had secured the first federal contract to raise awareness about the impact of HIV and AIDS on communities of color. It noted that Ebony Magazine had recognized him in 2004 as one of the nation's "30 up-and-coming African Americans" under age 30.

Supporters say McMillian — a 1997 graduate of Clarksdale High School who graduated magna cum laude from Jackson State and held a master's degree from St. Mary's University in Minnesota in philanthropy and development — had big ideas for Clarksdale, a town of about 17,800 people.

The town is well known to blues fans as the home of the crossroads, where Robert Johnson is said to have sold his soul to the devil for skills with a guitar. Academy Award-winning actor and Mississippi native Morgan Freeman is part owner of the Ground Zero Blues Club in town. Clarksdale also is hounded by the poverty typical of the Mississippi Delta.

Law & Order: SVU Spins Chris Brown/Rihanna Incident!

What we do is nobody's business!

It's been over four years since the incident in Los Angeles where Chris Brown and Rihanna got into it.

The domestic violence incident pretty much ruined Chris Brown's career as an entertainer. Everything he does now is subject to scrutiny. Chris Brown had got into heated feuds with Drake, Raz-B of B2K, Jenny Johnson, and Frank Ocean.

Even Rihanna suffered some form of scrunity. Many were figuring that she'll move on but I guess Rihanna still loves Chris Brown. They've ended up hooking back up!

Many in the music industry figured that Rihanna is sliding down the path that lead Whitney Houston to her untimely demise last year.
Law & Order: SVU takes a spin into the Chris Brown/Rihanna incident. The character is pop singer Caleb Brown played by Eugene Jones.
The NBC hit drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit  is taking a spin on the controversy. The show is is an American police procedural crime drama television series set in New York City, where it is also primarily produced. In the style of the original Law & Order, episodes are often "ripped from the headlines" or loosely based on real crimes that have received media attention. Created and produced by Dick Wolf, the series premiered on NBC on September 20, 1999 as the first spin-off of Wolf's successful crime drama, Law & Order.

The program features Dann Florek, Danny Pino, Mariska Hargitay, Kelli Giddish, Richard Belzer, and Ice-T. "Special Victims Unit" of the 16th Precinct, New York City Police Department, a unit that focuses on crimes involving rape, sexual assault and child molestation, as well as any crime loosely connected with any of the three, such as domestic violence, kidnapping and child abandonment.

This incident of Chris Brown and Rihanna is going to be on Wednesday night's program.

The New York Daily News tells the tale of “Law & Order: SVU” stories as often do, however, it veers off to its own ending — which, in this case, is not happy for one of the characters.

The central players in “Funny Valentine” are Micha Charles-Green (aka Robyn Fenty/Rihanna), played by Tiffany Robinson, and Caleb Brown (aka Chris Brown), played by Eugene Jones.

He regularly beats her, which leads Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) to wonder why she stays in the relationship.
The facial bruises of a singer. Tiffany Robinson plays Micha Charles, a character loosely based on Rihanna.
She also refuses to cooperate in prosecution despite the efforts of assistant district attorney Barba (Raul Esparza) to built a case.

Micha says it’s complicated, and the story plays out from there, focusing on domestic violence and the ways in which abusers manipulate victims.

In real life, Brown was arrested in 2009 after a picture surfaced of Rihanna with a swollen and battered face.

He pleaded guilty to felony assault and received five years probation plus community service and a restraining order. He made several public apologies and also blamed the media.

Last month Rihanna confirmed the pair are back together.

“He's not the monster everybody thinks,” she said. “He's a good person. He has a fantastic heart. He's giving and loving. And he's fun to be around.”

On “SVU,” Jeffrey Tambor plays Brown’s flamboyant media hound attorney. Talk show host Wendy Williams plays herself.

Chris Brown appears under RCA Records.
Rihanna appears under Def Jam.

50 Kisses!

50 Cent didn't know Erin Andrews was a victim...

Kiss and tell, Curtis!

50 Cent goes to the NASCAR Daytona 500 and gets a surprising reaction to an awkward kiss on ESPN commentator Erin Andrews.

Let's say that Andrews wasn't feeling that one!

As Erin Andrews was looking for NASCAR star Danica Patrick. Andrews spotted the 37-year old media mogul. She kind of waved him over and he went right up to her and planted one on her check. He was aiming for the mouth.

You look at the GIF and see the reaction in real time.

Andrews was a victim of a jackass stalker. This stalker took an opportunity to film her in the nude and publish videos and pictures online in an attempt to extort her for money.

The media mogul is preparing for his next album being produced by Dr. Dre and Eminem. The rapper claims that's he's going to hang up the microphone after this album release.

The Get Rich Or Die Tryin' album was a masterpiece and the beginning of commercial success for Curtis Jackson. The media mogul founded G-Unit with Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks. The group later added Young Buck and Game to the label.

Conflicts with other rappers and each other doomed the group. Game was first to be booted off G-Unit. He ended up causing a longstanding feud which hurt not only 50 Cent but the rapper himself. Young Buck would later leave after rumors of 50 Cent having conflict with the rapper. The rapper is serving time in federal prison for tax evasion. Lloyd Banks also is conflicting with 50 Cent. Although they're no rap dissing between the two, Lloyd Banks expressed frustration with the direction of the label.

Since then it's been hard for 50 Cent to match the magic of GRODT and The Massacre. Those were his two most successful albums.

50 Cent's fifth album Street King Immortal may be released later this year.

The rapper's antics are controversial. Anything he does is guaranteed to be controversy.

For 50 Cent it's all about staying relevant in an age where Lil' Wayne is the king of rap and music nowadays really sucks!

And by the way, Game will probably take to Twitter to taunt 50 Cent's romance decline.

50 Cent appears under Interscope Records. He signed to Aftermath Entertainment and Shady Records.

Mary J. Blige Is Piggy Bank Broke!

Mary J. Blige is being sued over a default on a loan.
The Queen Of R & B is racking up debt and she's being sued by the credit card companies.

What's the 411?

A number she's going to need to get help paying off those loan sharks.

Reuters report that the Bank of America and other organizations are suing the R & B diva for defaulting on her loans.

In November, Mary J. Blige was hit with a lawsuit on Wednesday alleging the Grammy winner and her husband defaulted on a $2.2 million bank loan.

According to court documents filed in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan, Signature Bank is seeking to recoup the original loan plus $58,000 in interest.

Blige, 42, who has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and her husband Martin Isaacs took out the loan in October 2011 and defaulted in July 2012, the suit alleges.

Blige's publicist declined comment on the lawsuit. The singer's attorney did not immediately return a request to comment.

The lawsuit also names Blige's production company, Mary Jane Productions Inc.

The lawsuit is the latest financial headache for the New York City native. The "Family Affair" singer's charity, The Mary J. Blige and Steve Stoute Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now Inc, was accused earlier in this year of mishandling funds and cheating scholarship students.

Blige acknowledged the problems in a June interview.

"The lives of young women are at stake," the singer told Reuters when asked about the allegations. "I feel what they feel. I don't want them to suffer. I promised them something and I'm gonna deliver. Period."

The signer also was hit with another lawsuit over a $500,000 loan.

With ten albums and over millions sold Mary J. Blige is has grown from the days of New Jack Swing to Midnight Soul. Her debut album What's The 411?  broke the ground for a legendary career.

She is a recipient of nine Grammy Awards and four American Music Awards, and has recorded eight multi-platinum albums. She is the only artist with Grammy Award wins in R&B, Rap, Gospel, and Pop.

Mary J. Blige appears under Geffen Records/Interscope Records.

Chris Brown & Rihanna Are The New Bobby & Whitney!

Four years ago they had a major fallout. This year they're back together. One year ago another troubled pop star died in a tragedy. The media thinks these two are following her footsteps.

Could Rihanna and Chris Brown be the new Bobby and Whitney?

Okay, tomorrow marks the first year of the death of Whitney Houston. The legendary R & B/pop singer died on February 11, 2012.

Whitney Houston rose to fame with the golden voice. Her start from the New Jersey church propelled her to the limelight and reached it all the way to the motion pictures. Her troubles began when she found love.

She eventually married fellow pop singer Bobby Brown. Brown being a father of three met Houston at the Soul Train awards. They spent three years together before eventually tied the knot.

The media always speculated that Bobby Brown assaulted Whitney Houston. This lead to her frequent use of cocaine and prescription drugs.

Her troubled history with drugs finally taken a toll on her.

Subsequent toxicology reports showed that she had accidentally drowned in the bathtub due to the effects of chronic cocaine use and heart disease. News of her death coincided with the 2012 Grammy Awards and featured prominently in American and international media.

Houston was found unconscious in Suite 434 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, submerged in the bathtub; she was later pronounced dead. The cause of death was not immediately known.

It was later ruled by the coroner to have been an "accidental drowning". Beverly Hills paramedics arrived at approximately 3:30 p.m. and found the singer unresponsive and performed CPR. Houston was pronounced dead.

Local police said there were "no obvious signs of criminal intent."

The Los Angeles County coroner's office reported the cause of Houston's death was drowning and the "effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use". The office stated the amount of cocaine found in Houston's body indicated that she used the substance shortly before her death.

Toxicology results revealed additional drugs in her system: Benadryl, Xanax, marijuana and Flexeril. The manner of death was listed as an "accident".

The media is now concluding that Rihanna (Robyn Fenty) and Chris Brown being back together rings echos!

Chris Brown is a washed up R & B/pop singer.

Four years ago, these two got into huge argument and it lead to Brown assaulting the pop singer.

The troubled singer apparently crashed his vehicle after being chased by paparazzi. The Associated Press reports that the pop star was nominated for a Grammy.

Police in Beverly Hills say Chris Brown escaped injury after crashing his Porsche into a wall while being chased by paparazzi.

Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said the collision occurred around noon Saturday. Brown told police that he lost control of his black Porsche during the chase.

A call to Brown's lawyer was not immediately returned.

The crash came a day before the Grammy Awards, where Brown is up for best urban contemporary album.

Brown was just in court for apparently not finishing his community service.

Bullets Fly At Rozay!

Rick Ross and Lil' Wayne. Rick Ross was in Florida when a gunman shot at his vehicle. The rapper survives. The rapper is working on protecting his family from threats from The Gangster Disciples, a violent street gang that commits acts of domestic terrorism.

The Maybach Music Mafia boss was shot at and nearly killed.

I guess he's no longer a phony "gangsta rapper!"

Seriously, gun violence is on the rise and even in entertainment, rappers aren't immune to the violence.

Rick Ross appears under Def Jam Records. He is affiliated with Maybach Music Group and Slip-N-Slide Records. His real name is William Leonard Roberts, Jr.  He also uses the Teflon Don and Rozay moniker.

Last year the rapper pissed off the Gangster Disciples. There is a target hit for the rapper. Rick Ross is now looking to keep him and his family safe. He's hiring security to protect him and his family.

CNN reports that "Teflon Don" rapper Rick Ross crashed his silver Rolls Royce into an apartment building after he heard gunfire along a Fort Lauderdale, Florida, street Monday morning, police said.

"The driver of the Rolls Royce attempted to drive away from the direction of the shots being fired and lost control of the vehicle, striking a nearby apartment building," Fort Lauderdale Police Detective DeAnna Garcia said.

Ross and a female passenger were not hurt by the wreck or the gunshots, Garcia said.

"The suspects fled from the area prior to police arrival," she said.

The incident, however, called attention to threats against the artist's life made in a street gang's videos and posted online in recent months.

"We're pulling up on you," a man who identified himself as a member of the Gangster Disciples warned in one of the videos. "Whatever city, whatever state, the pressure on."

Several videos purporting to be from Gangster Disciple members in several states -- including Georgia, North Carolina and Florida -- appeared on YouTube late last year demanding that Ross pay a fee to them for his use of the Star of David, which they claim as a gang symbol, and a reference to one of their founders in his music and marketing.

"You got to cut the check," one video said. "Tell your boss man he got to get that check, or all you in trouble."

"We need that cash right now," another said.

Ross, 37, whose albums include "Teflon Don" in 2010 and "Deeper Than Rap" a year earlier, told south Florida radio station 99 Jamz last month that he was not intimidated by the threats.

"Ain't never no checks getting cut," he said. "I don't play those games. I consider that extortion."

Is Nas hip-hop's finest MC?

Ross did cancel his North Carolina shows last month just days after a video appeared online threatening his life if he performed there.

"Never was it due to any threats," he told the radio station. Instead, he canceled because "the promoter wasn't really handling his business."

Ross wanted to make certain that listeners understood he was not frightened. "Don't ever get it twisted, Ricky Ross is the boss," he said.

The death threats are not the only challenge to Ross. A former drug lord and gang leader is suing in a Los Angeles court, accusing him of stealing his name and reputation.

"The reality is I want justice done," the original Ross wrote in an e-mail to CNN. "I know that he took his name and image from my life and believe he is unfairly profiting off my story."

Ricky "Freeway" Ross was serving a prison sentence a decade ago when rapper William Roberts, who previously worked as a Florida correctional officer, adopted "Rick Ross" as his stage name, according to the lawsuit.

"This rapper and his labels clearly knew of my name and story, and have tried to suck out the lifeblood without license," the former drug lord said. "I have my own use for my intellectual property and did not need this confusion created."

More recently, the rapper has been using the name "Ricky Rozay."

The rapper and his record label have not responded to CNN's request for comment.

Despite the death threats and legal issues, his music is doing well. Ross is nominated for a best rap album Grammy for his latest release, "God Forgives, I Don't."

The rapper's antics have consequences. Last year he got into it with Young Jeezy at the BET Awards.

Rap music is under fire post Sandy Hook. Rappers like Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, Lil' Wayne, Game, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and 50 Cent are usually under fire for embracing the gun culture.

LAPD Investigate Fight Between Chris Brown And Frank Ocean!

Washed up singer Chris Brown is under investigation for a fight in a studio parking lot that involved him and rapper Frank Ocean.

Just like Rihanna, her on and off boyfriend, washed up pop singer Chris Brown can't keep his dumb ass out of trouble. This morning I check the Huffington Post, and yet again I see his silly ass mug once again in the news.

For the simple fact that Breezy and Ri Ri both appearing in the news for all the wrong reasons, I am starting to wonder if limelight will ever fade for these two!

Apparently the singer got into a huge fight and it involved rapper/singer Frank Ocean. Ocean is a member of the hip-hop collective Odd Future. Last year the rapper came out as bisexual.

Authorities are investigating allegations that Grammy-winning singer Chris Brown assaulted a man in a West Hollywood parking lot.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says deputies responded to a report Sunday night of six men fighting.

Witnesses told deputies that the brief fight was over a parking space.

The department says the "altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim."
Grammy nominated singer/rapper Frank Ocean got into a fight with Chris Brown. LAPD investigating the incident.
The "victim" wasn't identified but the celebrity website TMZ, which first reported the incident outside a recording studio, says the fight also involved Frank Ocean, a nominee in the upcoming Grammy Awards. He later tweeted that he "got jumped by (Brown) and a couple guys" and suffered a finger cut.

The department says it will contact Brown later.

Brown's attack on singer Rihanna on the eve of the 2009 Grammy awards overshadowed the show. He was injured in a June 2012 brawl with members of hip-hop star Drake's entourage at a New York nightclub.

Brown is currently on a five year probation. Why would he violate this now?

Ocean was pulled over in Los Angeles last month. He was accused of driving while under the influence of marijuana.

Rihanna was spotted in Hawaii with a blunt and a middle finger to those who caught her.

Chris Brown appears under RCA Records.

Frank Ocean appears under Def Jam Records and Odd Future Music.

Rihanna appears under Island Def Jam Records.
