The Bureau of Labor Statistics released its jobs report for July.

AMERICANS are definitely split between whether they love or hate this country.

Gas prices, grocery prices, insurance premiums, shipping costs and medical debt are driving people to put off things. Overworked and exhausted of their jobs. More Americans are uncomfortable with their jobs but too afraid to find another. Watching elites carry on like its normal is a recipe for disaster.

Less than 900 days of the curmudgeon President Donald J. Trump. We are quickly declining under this chaotic second term.

Since the U.S. government constantly delayed the job report, the partial government shutdown and the president's failure to admit our country is on the decline, we are not going to get accurate numbers.

Examples of democratic backsliding include:

  • Free and fair elections are degraded;
  • Liberal rights of freedom of speech, press and association decline, impairing the ability of the political opposition to challenge the government, hold it to account, and propose alternatives to the current regime;
  • The rule of law (i.e., judicial and bureaucratic restraints on the government) is weakened, such as when the independence of the judiciary is threatened, or when civil service tenure protections are weakened or eliminated.
  • An over-emphasis on national security as response to acts of terrorism or perceived antagonists.
  • Politicians can't agree on funding essential needs and services which trigger spiteful pain on the citizens.

Now this jobs report.

The U.S. economy saw an unexpected declined in jobs during July while the unemployment rate edged lower, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday in a snapshot that showed a slowing employment picture.

Nonfarm payrolls fell by a seasonally adjusted 23,000 for the month, compared with a downwardly revised 20,000 for June. The Dow Jones consensus forecast had been looking for a gain of 83,000.

Lindsey Graham famously said if you don't bless Israel, you're cursed. Guess he was wrong. He died in July. Darline Graham Nordone becomes his replacement and is favored to serve a full term come election.

At the same time, the unemployment slipped to 4.1% as the labor force participation rate fell further to 61.4%, its lowest in more than five years, another indication that fewer Americans were working or looking for jobs.

In addition to the weak numbers for June and July, the final count for May was revised down to 63,000, or 66,000 lower than the prior estimate. The revised numbers brought the 12-month average down to just 34,000.

“The July employment report solidified that the labor market is not out of the woods quite yet,” said Nicole Bachaud, a labor economist at ZipRecruiter.

The drop was led by a 50,000 decline in local government education and a loss of 19,000 retail jobs. Financial activities also posted a fall of 14,000 and leisure and hospitality lost 40,000, a possible consequence of the World Cup tournament ending.

Healthcare, which has been the leading sector for job creation, rose by 22,000, which was below its 12-month average of 36,000. Construction also saw an increase of 22,000.

Private payrolls did increase for the month, up 30,000 as government jobs declined by 53,000.

ICE killed three Black people. Several Black people were found hanging from trees.

While jobs held flat, worker pay also saw virtually no gain during the month. Average hourly earnings increased by just 2 cents, bringing the 12-month average down to 3.2%, below the forecast increase of 3.5% and the lowest since May 2021.

The report comes with Federal Reserve policymakers split on where interest rates should head in an economy where the labor market had been improving from a moribund year in 2025 while inflation has remained well above the central bank’s 2% target.

In recent days, several Fed officials have spoken in favor of raising rates as soon as September if the pace of price increases doesn’t ease. The Federal Open Market Committee last week voted 9-3 to hold its benchmark rate in place.

Following the jobs report, traders shifted their bets on when the Fed might hike. Odds for a move in September fell to 44% and to 58.3% for October, according to the CME Group’s FedWatch gauge of futures prices.

Stock market futures, meanwhile, posted solid gains amid the expectations for a more dovish Fed. Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average were up close to 200 points and Treasury yields plummeted after being around the flatline earlier in the session.

“This morning’s report is a game changer in the sense that all of the recent focus has been on inflation and this report highlights the risks that are embedded in the labor market as well,” said Chris Zaccarelli, chief investment officer for Northlight Asset Management. “Before today, many were expecting that the Fed had no choice but to raise rates in order to fight stubbornly high inflation, because the job market was so strong, but this report shows that isn’t the case.”

Mitch McConnell is released from the hospital but is held at an undisclosed location.

Details of the report confirmed the weak headline numbers.

Household employment, which measures the total of people reporting that they are working and is used to calculate the unemployment rate, fell by 87,000. However, the unemployment rate declined because of a decrease of 264,000 in the labor force. Outside of the Covid era, the participation rate is at its lowest since the middle part of 1976.

“While the unemployment rate is falling, that is mostly for the wrong reason—not enough workers,” wrote Bill Adams, chief U.S. economist at Fifth Third Commercial Bank. “Immigration compensated for the aging of the workforce in the first few years of the post-pandemic expansion, but that’s not happening anymore.”

The employment-to-population ratio fell again, slipping to 58.9% for its lowest level since May 2014. An alternative jobless measure that includes discouraged workers and those holding part-time jobs for economic reasons held steady at 7.9%.

The U.S. violated the USMCA by imposing tariffs on its trading partners. Mexico and Canada have vowed to impose their series of tariffs. BRICS is courting Mexico to join the organization.

The world is losing patience with the U.S. and Israel. Many countries are moving away from the U.S. dollar.

Iran has already started the process. It has pushed for dedollarization. It has called for the use of Chinese Yuan to trade oil and several countries are working on doing it.

NATO is about to fall apart. Thanks to Trump having his tantrums, his European allies and Turkïye are distancing themselves from this war with Iran.

Countries have now denied entry to Israeli passport holders: Algeria, Bangladesh, Brunei, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, The United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. 

Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brazil, Cyprus and Qatar are considering it.

More countries are considering to ban Israelis. The only country that wants to keep Israelis coming in without any problems is the United States.

Trump despite winning the election is still telling Americans that if he doesn't win, there will be all out war. He is true to his word.

He has already sparked global tension with threats of tariffs on our trading partners.

Republicans can't govern in the House of Representatives and Senate. Every government shutdown is a prime example of how their incompetence is in full effect. They are pushing authoritarianism in states they have control of. They are banning swatting, honing and regulations on testing. But when it comes to people being killed by firearms, they refuse to do something. Republicans will sabotage themselves and Trump. The Big Beautiful Bill itself is a disgrace that could impact millions of working class Americans, the poor, the needy, transgender Americans, professional gamblers, the adult entertainment industry and so many others. The tax code is changed and more Americans are getting less in tax refunds thanks to the no taxes on tips and overtime. It will shock many who file their taxes.

Republicans don't care because of course, y'all voted for this.

Republicans are using dog whistles when talking about Blacks, immigrants, transgender Americans, Israel, crime, protesters and gun violence.

1. Hamas and Hezbollah are called terrorists because of Israel and the United States. They labeled them terrorists because of their resistance to Israel violently occupying their land. Israel has resorted to years of shameful aggression to punish Lebanese, Syrians, Gazans and those in the West Bank. The United States gave aid and cover to this for over a generation. Those who support Hamas or defend their actions are labeled terrorist sympathizers, antisemitic, traitors, unpatriotic, radicals or whatever they conjure up. The Zionists are getting desperate. They are resorting to violence and threats of banning critics.

2. Gun violence continues to be the No. 1 threat to children and adults. When gun violence happen in Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Detroit and Baltimore, a Republican lawmaker wants to blame gun violence on Democratic mayors instead of the Congress. We are on record with 450 mass shootings this year alone. White men with firearms are more dangerous than any other person. 

3. Immigration is right now at record lows. The world views the U.S. as a hostile country and migrants from the Global South are beginning to ban American influence. They fear Trump's presidency could cause instability. Republicans are pushing for border closures, border/segregation walls, mass deportations, elimination of birthright citizenship, end of legal rights to Americans married to immigrants and push for English only. They also want to ban immigrants or student visas. They want to jail or deport any immigrant who protest Israel or Trump. This immigration and detention of civilians has travel into the United States down at record levels. 

4. Crime is at record lows but it is rising. Property theft is up. Shoplifting, the Kia/Hyundai challenge, gun violence, white collar crimes and cybertheft have occurred. But again its racial dog whistles. Many corporations are getting away with greed and theft of wages. Many Americans are tired of paying more for less product. Kia and Hyundai are still facing criticism over this Kia Boyz nonsense. Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS, Wexman are on their last legs. Walmart, Target and Kroger are closing stores in predominantly Black and Latino neighborhoods. Republicans are pushing for more mandatory sentences for theft. Democrats want to push for regulations on shrinkflation and theft of wages. Republicans oppose overtime and regulations to keep corporations from raising product prices. Trump is sending the National Guard into Portland, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Memphis, Baltimore and Washington, DC despite mayors denouncing this as an attempt to uphend the local police and their qualified training.

Republicans want political revenge. Trump wants to jail his rivals. He may get that wish now that he has returned to power. This is not a joke. 

Do not assume that every place has jobs. Companies are closing everywhere. The tech industry, retail, trucking and press are laying off workers. The service industry is continuing to suffer due to stagnant wages, lack of achievements and work overload.

Also, housing is still down. More Americans can't afford homes, rent or car payments.

They are taking vacations while you barely even get one or the luxury of taking days off.

Let me get this straight: You are more upset over words than actions. You are upset someone using their freedom of speech to criticize a foreign country engaged in a propaganda campaign to shield itself from war crimes and impunity. You are upset over people using their voices, their wallets and their time to protest an injustice. Well, get upset over your taxpayer money aiding foreign nations. Get upset over foreign nations killing Americans in a war funded by our taxpayer money. Get upset over the deaths of thousands in Haiti, Chad, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Syria, Venezuela, Myanmar, Mexico, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine and Palestine. Mind you, our taxpayer money funds Israel more than any other country in conflicts. Get upset at your president, your senator, your representative, your governor, your state leader, your mayor and your local junk food media for bowing to the evil regime of Israel.

Biden has divided the nation further allowing Trump to return to put the nail in the coffin of this once respected nation.

What pisses me off is our lawmakers are calling protesters "Hamas supporters" to paint peaceful protests as an act of "terrorism." Their reactionary response to anger over America's support of Israel will lead to our standing with the world. With billions of dollars of aid going to Israel, you would think that American lawmakers would have our taxpayer money spent on more useful things!

The lawmakers will spend more taxpayer money to fix our crumbling infrastructure. Hell we still have the aftermaths of hurricanes, wildfires, droughts and snow storms. Thousands of people have died from those horrible weather events.

Many of these Republicans who vote against funding the government and assistance for some of America's less fortunate are willing to give billions to a foreign nation engaged in an act of genocide. Same with the Democrats. They claim they want to protect democracy but endorse a fascist government sworn to being an ethnostate on our taxpayer dime.

Food prices, energy prices, rent, city services and college education have risen. Companies are struggling to find workers. They are now trying to push incentives to get workers in. However, there is always a catch to working entry level jobs that make over $20 an hour. Folks must work hours that do not accommodate home and social life. It may only be part time work or temporary. Some jobs may force overtime or refuse to pay for work rendered. With unions being weaken by states, it may be an at-will company. So if you are on social media, protesting injustices, supporting controversial issues or making threats to local officials; you could lose your job.

The safety net: It's this thing that helps the middle class and lower class. The safety net prevents Americans from rioting and/or looting. The safety net stops people from shoplifting from stores to feed their families.

The safety net prevents a person from robbing you of your luxuries.

The safety net is only 10% of the federal spending. The way some people put it, 50% of the federal spending goes to food stamps and welfare. Some people believe that the safety net is making people lazy. And this is the stuff I've heard from people who think that it will never happen to them. They get their arousal over a person using an EBT card to pay for name brand items or expensive food.

With the rising food and gas prices, people are turning to food stamps, food banks and government assistance to keep themselves from landing in the homeless shelter.

Without a safety net, these people will rob and kill those who have the luxuries of having food in the refrigerator or in the pantry. They would steal fuel, water, bread and meat to keep feeding their families. And yet, these Republicans, Democrats and their conservative allies are thinking the poor are the reasons for a potential economic recession. 

Perhaps those who complain about the poor, should walk a day in that person's shoes!

Companies are cautious about hiring employees. Because of the Trump administration rolling back DEI and arresting undocumented workers, employers are struggling to keep employees. It puts more stress on the workers, managers and suppliers. 

With the average wages stagnant, many are not looking forward to work at jobs that pays dirt wages. Many who worked in the retail, restaurant and low end service industry are not willing to take a job for less than $10 an hour. Matter of fact, no one can survive on $15 an hour.

Republicans never get it. They just won't see the bigger picture itself. Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. They are frustrated with stagnant wages. 

They are tired of low wages for heavy workloads. They are tried of food and consumer products being expensive.

Most Americans are tired of the status quo of their jobs.

Many single parents are having trouble trying to find quality daycare or family members to watch children. On top of that, some have lost family members due to the pandemic and unforseen circumstances due to Trump’s chaotic policies. A homemaker may have lost their spouse. Some may have no choice but to watch their children or loved ones due to the aftermath of the pandemic.

Folks are still trying to rebound from medical bills, late rent payments, owing taxes and college loans.

Republicans are white nationalists without a conscience. 

Trump's presidency and Republican controlled governments are incompetent.

Their leadership has killed millions of Americans. 

Holding these lawmakers accountable is not just a pledge, but a promise. You need to learn who represents your community. Your local community member, your school board member, your mayor, your state representative, your state senator, your governor, your U.S. Representative, your U.S. Senator and the president need to be held accountable for their actions. 

We need to put pressure on Republicans and Democrats to do something to improve everyone's lives.

Keep pressure on them with Israel. 

Israel must be held accountable for war crimes and the U.S. must end its aid. 

Our taxpayer money should not help Israel any further.

Republicans have extremely unpopular ideas. They will find out the risk of supporters being turned off by their policies.

You want the U.S. to improve the immigration process. You want the U.S. lawmakers stop dehumanizing human beings. You want the U.S. to prove to the world its a beacon of freedom. You want our American military and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents out of our cities, the Middle East and every fucking international conflict in the world. You want legislation to focus on lowering the cost of rent, lowering the cost of food, lowering the cost of hospital visits, improving healthcare and building relationships with other nations. Let them know that pulling out of the UN Human Rights Organization, World Health Organization and Paris Climate Accords will put the U.S. in danger when catastrophic event happen. Let them know that you are tired of private equity firms getting away with destroying small businesses and long established companies. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel and Ukraine. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-semitic or in support of terrorism because you support the freedom of Palestinians. We have bigger issues at home and our tax dollars should solve the housing crisis, lowering food prices, fixing roads, bridges, helping reinvest in struggling urban and rural communities. We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying. There are bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire, a weapons embargo, sanctions and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more domestic or foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and lawmakers avoid influence from lobbyists and special interest groups.
