Curmudgeon Makes An Ohio Push!

Trump hasn't lost Ohio. His picks could face massive losses.

President Donald J. Trump is coming to Dayton, Ohio.

He will be appearing at Vandalia Butler High School in Vandalia on Saturday. So prepare yourself for traffic delays, protesters and a word vomit from an 80 year old curmudgeon.

He is coming on behalf of Vivek Ramaswamy, Sen. Jon Husted (R-OH), Reps. Warren Davidson (R-OH), Mike Turner (R-OH) and Mike Carey (R-OH). If Vice President JD Vance, an Ohio native comes to accompany the president it could be a crucial play.

Ohio gas prices are $4.59⁹ with diesel at $7.19⁹. 

Ohioans are angry with the cost of prices in the state. 

Republicans held the governor’s mansion since 2011. Current govenor Mike DeWine and former governor (turned Trump critic) John Kasich oversaw Ohio in decline.

Trump will host a midterm rally.

The doors will open at 3:30 p.m. The event is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at Butler High School, the RNC said.

The Associated Press reports that the Vandalia trip is scheduled after stops in Oklahoma on Thursday and Alabama on Friday. He plans to visit Ohio in support of Senator Jon Husted.

Husted is running against Democratic former senator Sherrod Brown.

Brown lost his Senate seat to Republican Bernie Moreno in 2024.

The AP reports that Trump earlier vowed to campaign in several battleground races before the November midterm elections.

The Ohio Republican Party sent a statement from Chairman Alex Triantafilou.

“The Republican Party’s best messenger against lifelong politician Sherrod Brown is President Trump. The Ohio GOP is thrilled to welcome the President back to Ohio—a place he has never lost an election. He is forever welcome here.”

Trump had went to Tipp City last year. He also appeared in Dayton during the 2019 mass shooting. The president won Ohio in 2016, 2020 and 2024.

In 2016, a man tried to jump the stage at then candidate Trump's rally at the Dayton International Airport. That was one of the many assassination attempts on this controversial politician. He is considered the worst president in modern history.
