The Kirk Hop!

Wu-Tang always told you to protect ya neck.

One year ago, the country was shocked by the unfortunate assassination of 31 year old Charles James Kirk. He was a controversial media personality and activist. 

He was doing his premiere America's Comeback tour at the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

The kick off started around noon. Kirk managed to hear from some of the attendees.

In his condescending fashion, he was debating a person about gun violence. He singled out transgender Americans and Black gangs. Within seconds a bang and he went limp.

The assassin struck him in the left of his neck. He immediately fell out his seat with blood spilling rapidly. He was immediately dead upon that shot.

The security rushed him to a local hospital but unfortunately the amount of blood lost and the clean shot instantly prove fatal.

President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Congress, far right media, some of the left media, the centrist media and of course, the American public was shocked to the core. Trump a survivor of his near fatal assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania got rattled by it. 

Instead of calling for toning down the noise, he increased to a hundred. He and many of the agitators immediately started targeting transgender Americans, Black Americans, Muslims and progressive activists as they were subjects of Kirk's rants.

Bomb threats at historically Black colleges and universities.

Physical assaults by folks sympathetic or antipathy toward Kirk.

People losing their jobs and having their financial support stripped away. 

Jimmy Kimmel was suspended last year after he made a mild joke in which he dissed Trump for his tepid grief over Charlie Kirk. He was off the air for six days before they made him do a shotgun apology.

Nexstar and Sinclair Media, both favorable to Trump kept his show off the air for two additional weeks before an outcry demanding they reinstate his show was put forth.

It was total shitshow. The most devastating of this was the widow, Erika.

The last thing we want.

Erika Kirk was the mother of his two children. Dealing with this tragedy left her without the man she wanted to grow old with. At first, I showed some sympathy towards her and the children. It quickly disappeared when she appeared in a presser and on the late white nationalist program declaring that "the work is not done."

Literally, Erika could have for the president to do something about gun violence. She could have told Americans that her husband's death was not in vein. She could have told the critics that disagreements should never result in death.

Nope.

She paraded the same grievances that her late husband spewed on his podcast and in the public. Now she became the target of vitriol and disdain.

The death was shocking enough for Nicki Minaj to publicly declare herself a MAGA Barbie.

Erika said during his memorial service she forgave the shooter. When it comes to critics like Kimmel, Hasan Piker and Candace Owens, she will never forgive.

Kirk died a white nationalist. He was a disgraceful human being.

The Kirkiversary is a meme holiday. Many online are giving the far right something to be angry about. In a way to generate motivation to the polls, progressives and anti racists are sharing the most funniest Kirk memes.

In the weeks after Kirk’s death, employers censured and fired hundreds of people for sharing distasteful remarks about Kirk, while supporters sought to cast him as a cultural hero, donning his face on clothing and plastering his likeness across businesses and merchandise.

The initial memes surrounding Kirk were, in some ways, a blowback to that reaction.

Divine intervention.

I am not going to be sympathetic or show empathy. All I can say is that politicial violence will continue because Trump, Elon Musk, Fox and other agitators from the right will keep the stove hot. 

And they'll be the ones burned.

No gun reform. Just calls for censorship, jailing critics and chastising folks who could care less about this man.

So I just want to say that the Second Amendment is White, period.

A bullet does not care about color. We all bleed red and so many lives are lost to gun violence and Republicans offer no solutions other than "thoughts and prayers" with a touch of "lock em up."

People, please do not resort to the levels of those who profit off the anger. The anger of right wing Americans in the wake of white nationalist Charlie Kirk's death has sparked a censorship and harassment campaign.

Let me be clear: I do not condone violence towards to politicians, media personalities, animals and property. I am not condemning things any longer. I am getting tired of putting empathy on antipathy.

Gun violence is the number one threat in the United States.
