Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) is an absolute moron. He will join the ranks of idiots who tried to box former special prosecutor Jack Smith with "Fox gotcha" questions.

He completely fumbled the whole Republican plan.

He infamously confused a conflation. He claimed that Smith colluded with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. Willis who indicted the 45th and 47th President of the United States and 19 of his allies for trying to interfere in the 2020 Georgia election.

Republicans pushed her personal business as an excuse to undermine her investing the president’s actions. Schmitt claimed that Smith attended an Atlanta Hawks game and met Willis there. It was not the case. He was at an Iowa Hawkeyes game watching Caitlin Clark play her inaugural games.

Smith eventually figured out that Schmitt was mistakenly referring to an Iowa Hawkeyes game that Smith attended at the University of Maryland.

Schmitt dismissed the gaffe still determined to claim that Smith prejured himself.

Sens. Katie Britt (R-AL), Darline Graham Nordone (R-SC), Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Josh Hawley (R-MO), Ted Cruz (R-TX) and John N. Kennedy (R-LA) joined Schmitt in being total idiots.

Many of former president Joe Biden's failures included the slow walking to prosecute Donald J. Trump once he left office. Appointing Merrick Garland was a huge mistake.

Garland should have aggressively went after Trump and his allies. They should have sought to prosecute and convict him. Right now, he is immune from prosecution and thus until 2029, he will cause chaos in his second presidential term.

Jan. 6, 2021 was a moment in American history. This was a tragic event based off a bitterness caused by Trump. He threatened to uphend the United States over his defeat in 20203 election. 

He stole classifed documents to prevent Biden from knowing what the U.S. government was doing. He held them in plain sight of espionage from not only China, Iran and Russia, but most likely Israel. The state of Israel is most notorious for spying on Americans.

He tried to pressure then Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger of Georgia to overturn the results of the Georgia certification. He encouraged his Black allies and Rudy Giuliani to pressure two election workers to admit they "stole" the election.

Jack had an ace up his sleeve.

He allowed Tina Peters, then a former county elections official to make operatives illegally search the data of voters. 

He threatened Michael Cohen, Stormy Daniels, Fani Willis, Jack Smith, Leticia James, James Comey and former vice president Mike Pence with violence. He continue to threaten violence on people who opposed him.

Still brings up threats of criminal charges on former presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Threats of criminal charges of former secretary of state Hillary Clinton.

Republicans are trying to rewrite history once again. They act like the events of Jan. 6 were just a protest and the feds were involved in coaching angry voters.

Graham Nordone began the firing squad of idiocy. The appointed senator is screaming at Smith over his investigation into her late brother, the insufferable Lindsey Graham.

He died in July. While he was on this planet, the asshole was involved in trying to pressure Georgia Republicans to not certify the election results. Graham Nordone was trying to shame Smith with Graham's fucked up health.

Graham died of a massive heart attack after he returned from Ukraine.

Smith defended his criminal prosecution of Donald Trump before Congress Tuesday, decrying what he said were unprecedented attacks on the rule of law in Trump's second term.

Smith was forced to halt two federal investigations he was conducting concerning Trump after the Republican was re-elected to serve a second term as president in November 2024.

One involved attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, which Trump lost, and the other concerned the retention of classified documents after Trump left the White House in 2021.

Addressing the Republican-dominated Senate Judiciary Committee, Smith defended decisions he made as special counsel for the Department of Justice, including the bringing of charges against Trump.

Yes, Katie Britt, you and the other 52 members of the Republican senate are idiots. Also independent senator John Fetterman too is a drooling idiot.

"I made those decisions without regard to President Trump's political association, activities, beliefs or candidacy in the 2024 presidential election," he said.

"Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation," he added.

He made similar remarks during a closed-door hearing before the House Judiciary Committee in December 2025, and during a public hearing before the same committee in January.

"As I appear before you today, it is my belief that the rule of law faces challenges unlike any we have experienced in our lifetime," Smith said.

He denounced "the vilification of the agents, prosecutors, and staff" who worked for him on the investigations since Trump returned to the White House in January 2025.

Nevertheless, "I remain confident that the rule of law will endure because so many continue to uphold it faithfully each day throughout our legal system," the former prosecutor said.

Trump and his Republican allies see Smith as the embodiment of the "weaponization" of the justice system during Democratic President Joe Biden's four years in office.

"I myself have been threatened with jail by the president of the United States," Smith said.
