A great entertainer of the 1960s to 1990s has passed away. Peggy Lipton passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was best known as a star on The Mod Squad and Twin Peaks. Known as Margaret Ann Lipton was an actress, model and singer. She was one of the most well-known "it" girls of the 1960s and 1970s.
The ex-wife of Quincy Jones and the mother of Rashida and Kidada Jones passed away at the age of 72 years old.
Lipton's death from cancer was announced in a statement from her daughters, Kidada and Rashida Jones, who said she "made her journey peacefully with her daughters and nieces by her side."

Lipton came to stardom playing undercover police officer Julie Barnes in the series "Mod Squad," which ran from 1968 to 1973.
That role earned her four Golden Globe nominations and one win for Best TV Actress in a drama.
She also starred as Norma Jennings on the television series "Twin Peaks."
Lipton was married to renowned music producer Quincy Jones from 1974 to 1990. The couple share daughters Kidada Jones and Rashida Jones, who is known for her roles on the comedy series "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation."
"Peggy was, and will always be our beacon of light, both in this world and beyond. She will always be a part of us," the daughters shared.

Four elementary school teachers in Southern California were placed on administrative leave this week after a photo of them smiling while holding a noose circulating on social media. The school principal in the photo was also placed on leave.
These teachers and their principal were in the freezer because they thought it funny to hold a noose.
An investigation into the photo and the origin of the noose is now underway at the Summerwind Elementary School in Palmdale.

Parents were upset about the photo that they either temporarily or permanently pulling their children out of the school.
The principal, Linda Brandts quickly erased her social media presence.
The administrators said it best.
"The Palmdale School District holds all employees to the highest standards and exceptions, Raul Maldonado said. "We will not stop until we find out exactly what did occur. We will not tolerate this type of behavior in our schools."
The city of Palmdale is mostly Latino. But the city's majority is 58.6 Hispanic, 22.1 white and 12.5 Black.
Over in Minnesota, a middle school teacher is caught on camera calling a group of Black students a bunch of fucking NIGGERS.
This obnoxious white teacher named Wendy Brilowski was place on administrative leave after the video appeared on social media.
She was caught on video yelling, "I just walk around the room... just pick on them. They're black. And they're the only fucking NIGGERS doing any work."
The video was filmed covertly and was posted only by the parent of a Black student who was rightfully shocked and horrified by the language she used.
This happened in the St. Paul Public Schools.
She was a Spanish teacher who taught at the Highland Park Middle School. She is in the freezer.
Utah mom upset her son was nearly killed when a bus driver dragged him 150 feet.
A mom from Salt Lake City was infuriated by the actions of a school bus driver. Her son who is biracial was exiting the bus and the door suddenly closes.
His bookbag was caught in the door and he was dragged about 100 feet by the moving bus. He didn't sustained injuries but he and many of his his fellow riders complained to the school and it earned this bus driver some unwanted attention from the junk food media.
Brenda Mayes' civil rights lawsuit says her son was getting off the school bus in early February when the driver, John Naisbitt, closed the doors, trapping the boy's backpack inside as he dangled outside.
Naisbitt, 78, then drove approximately 150 to 175 feet before opening the doors and letting the boy go, the lawsuit says.
Naisbitt -- who is no longer employed by the district, per a spokeswoman -- had previously displayed "racial animus and discriminatory conduct" toward other students of mixed race, according to the lawsuit, which cites at least two prior incidents involving other students dating back to September 2017.
Bus driver thinks this is a game.
The lawsuit also names the Davis School District and its transportation director, Dave Roberts, who Mayes said ignored her concerns. The suit requests that disciplinary action be taken against Naisbitt and that criminal charges be filed.
When confronted at his home in Hooper, Utah, Naisbitt said he was "not at all" racist.
"No," he said. "Look at my dog. He's as black as could be."

The show's cancellation wasn't about ratings. It was a Disney move.

The series also included a star-studded roster of guest stars including Lenny Kravitz, Naomi Campbell, Tyrese Gibson, Gladys Knight, Missy Elliott, Big Boi and Paris Jackson, who made her acting debut on the series.
Star raked in solid numbers but hit a ratings low last November. The musical drama is expensive to produce, and its international sales have been challenging, which made the renewal decisions a bit more complex.
Daniels and Donaghy executive produce alongside Pamela Oas Williams. Karin Gist serves as showrunner and executive producer. 20th Century Fox TV, is already shopping it to other platforms.
It already assures that Empire will have a final season on Fox this fall.

McCain and her hubby ignited a feud with Seth Meyers after a testy interview. The late night comic had interviewed McCain and asked her about her feelings towards 2020.
McCain who is no fan of Donald J. Trump immediately stated that she believes he will win the election because the Democrats refuse to condemn Omar for her remarks about Israel.

"Don't you think other people who talk about [Omar] need to be a little more thoughtful as well or do you stand by those comments of tying her rhetoric to the synagogue?" Meyers asked.
"I don't think I tied her to it in particular," McCain replied. "I think I'm calling out what I'm seeing as anti-Semitic language."
Meyers pressed, "You called it out after she apologized for it."
"I think the Democrats are hedging on this and I think it's very dangerous," she said. "I think she is bringing her party to the extremism on this … I stand by every single thing I've said and if that makes me unpopular in this room or in front of you, so be it."
Meyers eventually said he was trying to find common ground in the Omar controversy.
"Were you bothered about her language on 9/11?" McCain fired back.
"I think it was taken out of context," Meyers said.
Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) get death threats all the freaking time. They are the first two Muslim women in the Congress. They have openly criticized Israeli influence in U.S. politics.
"Would you give Trump the same leverage if he had said the same thing?" she asked.
"Well, I would say that Donald Trump is certainly in no position to criticize her language on 9/11 based on the things that he's said about 9/11, right?" Meyers responded.
"I just think you have to give people the same credence, and I think she's getting a lot of passes," McCain said.
After reiterating that Omar has apologized, Meyers offered, "Is there a way for people to talk about differences in Israeli policy without getting framed as anti-Semitic language?"
"Yeah, I just think you can't talk about Jews hypnotizing the world, talking about 'all about the Benjamins,'" McCain responded, referring to the tweets that landed Omar in hot water.
"You do keep bringing up the two tweets that she's apologized for and I think that's a little unfair to her, especially because we've established —" Meyers started to say.
"Are you her publicist? Are you her press person?" McCain interrupted.
By the end of her appearance, the two appeared to smooth over their differences, with McCain acknowledging, "My opinions are very strong."
"That is coming across, I do want you to know that," Meyers said with a smile.
But at least one person couldn’t shake off the fiery debate.
McCain's husband, Ben Domenech, went on a tweetstorm slamming the "Saturday Night Live" alumnus — whom he termed an "untalented piece of shit who only has his job because he regularly gargled Lorne Michaels' balls" — for going after his wife "with his idiotic anti-Semitic bullshit.”

Now they are trying to create chapters and fraternities across the United States and Canada.
They are even working on trying to court Black voters with the BLEXIT movement.

Two organizers who clearly work for TPUSA (Turning Point USA) features two free thinkers who say "FUCK NIGGERS" in their Snapchat feed.
TPUSA's University of Nevada Las Vegas chapter president Riley Grisar and member Lily Saxton were giving the "alt-white" and "white power" salute while saying in their Snapchat:

A Miami-Dade County cop is in the freezer pending an investigation into misconduct. He is also being charged for an unlawful detainment of an unarmed women of color.
Two months ago, Alejandro Giraldo was responding to an incident where two women reported an incident where a white man pointed a firearm at him.
Giraldo was responding to the interaction. He was one of the six officers who responded to a call from Dyma Loving. The white neighbor had threatened to shoot "her black ass face off her neck."
Once the police arrived, Loving's interactions with Giraldo and other officers became tense. Loving's best friend begins recording the interaction. In the video, the dirty cop can be seen grabbing the young woman by the neck and pushing her up against the fence.
"Do not touch me!" Loving screams, before Giraldo takes her arm and yanks her to the ground, putting her in a headlock and throwing her across the cement.
Loving was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting an officers command. The charges were later dropped.
Florida woman was lucky. She is glad they didn't kill her. She is the mother of two children.
Meanwhile, Miami-Dade Police Department director Juan Perez said Giraldo's arrest "overshadows the hard work of the dedicated men and women of law enforcement, who strive daily to serve and protect our community."

Two Kentucky correction guards and their boss face criminal charges for covering up an incident that put a Louisville man in the hospital.
The Louisville-Jefferson County Boys had placed two correction guards and their supervisor in the freezer. They also are facing charges for a cover-up. They violated the rights of a detained intern at the local lockup.
The three will face a court hearing as well a disciplinary hearing.
David Schwartz, Devan Edwards and Donna Gentry are facing a potential cannon firing as well as time in the iron college for their attack on Terry Whitehead. Allegedly the suspect was arrested for jacking a person of his ride. In the video, you see the man was shirtless and complaining about how he was being detained.
The 19-year old was restrained when Edwards served him a knuckle style chili. Edwards was seated when the guard gave him a healthy portion.
The footage was captured on body camera and the two tired to cover it up with their supervisor giving the go-ahead.
The officers can be heard saying loudly that Whitehead was spitting and being combative when he put his legs up to keep them at bay.
Two dirty cops are facing federal criminal charges for a brutal attack on inmate.
"This ain't right, right here," said Whitehead repeatedly states in the footage after he is served a hot plate by Edwards.
The court records said that Edwards give him a hot plate while he was seated. He was not resisting detainment. He also failed to stop his partner Schwartz from serving a second.
Now the two are facing criminal charges. Schwartz and Edwards were both served with depriving Whitehead of his rights from excessive force and filing two false police reports. One of the reports alleged that Whitehead instigated the confrontation.
Gentry is facing obstructing justice by filing a false use of force report and by instructing her subordinate officer to file a false use of force report.

The U.S. District Court in Louisville have decided to throw federal charges along with state charges.
"This case was investigated jointly by the FBI's Louisville Resident Agency Office and the Louisville Metro Police Department's Public Integrity Unit. This case will be prosecuted by U.S. Attorney Christopher J. Parras and Assistant U.S. Attorney Amanda Gregory of the Western District of Kentucky.

A 21-year old woman should have used her brain instead of her gut.
Hanna Payne has a murder charge on the docket. Her attorney called her a good Samaritan.
During an evening commute on Tuesday, Payne decided to follow a pickup truck after she saw it hit another vehicle on a local Atlanta highway. The woman confronted 62-year old Kenneth Herring as he tried to drive away from a wreck he caused.
Payne decided to follow him about a mile to a place near the Hartfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. She decided to corner her Jeep near the truck to prevent the man from proceeding further.
The shooter's Jeep blocked the victim's Ram truck. She exited the vehicle and shot him at point blank range.
There was a confrontation between the woman and the man. The woman then pulled out her firearm and shot him in the abdomen.
Herring would later die from his injuries. Payne who has a concealed carry license claimed that she was defending herself from potential harm.
A witness flagged down an officer directing traffic near Interstate 285 (The Perimeter). The witness informed the law that the woman shot a man in the street.
Tearful shooter claims she shot Kenneth Herring in self-defense.
Clayton County boys quickly arrested her. They said that this isn't a road rage incident. Payne wasn't the person involved in the accident. The prosecutors say that there's enough evidence to place on the woman.
Payne did call 911 to report that she shot the man. While the audio isn't going to be release to the junk food media, the incident has gotten the nation's attention.
Herring’s estranged wife Christine told the local junk food media that Payne should have waited for officers to arrive instead of taking action herself.
“Why would you get out? That means you weren't in no danger if you got out of your car to go to his car,” Christine Herring told the outlet.
“I think she needs to go to jail because she committed murder. You need to go to jail,” she added.
