What Happened To Terry Whitehead?

Two Kentucky correction guards and their boss face criminal charges for covering up an incident that put a Louisville man in the hospital.

The Louisville-Jefferson County Boys had placed two correction guards and their supervisor in the freezer. They also are facing charges for a cover-up. They violated the rights of a detained intern at the local lockup.

The three will face a court hearing as well a disciplinary hearing.

David Schwartz, Devan Edwards and Donna Gentry are facing a potential cannon firing as well as time in the iron college for their attack on Terry Whitehead. Allegedly the suspect was arrested for jacking a person of his ride. In the video, you see the man was shirtless and complaining about how he was being detained.

The 19-year old was restrained when Edwards served him a knuckle style chili. Edwards was seated when the guard gave him a healthy portion.

The footage was captured on body camera and the two tired to cover it up with their supervisor giving the go-ahead.

The officers can be heard saying loudly that Whitehead was spitting and being combative when he put his legs up to keep them at bay.

Two dirty cops are facing federal criminal charges for a brutal attack on inmate.

"This ain't right, right here," said Whitehead repeatedly states in the footage after he is served a hot plate by Edwards.

The court records said that Edwards give him a hot plate while he was seated. He was not resisting detainment. He also failed to stop his partner Schwartz from serving a second.

Now the two are facing criminal charges. Schwartz and Edwards were both served with depriving Whitehead of his rights from excessive force and filing two false police reports. One of the reports alleged that Whitehead instigated the confrontation.

Gentry is facing obstructing justice by filing a false use of force report and by instructing her subordinate officer to file a false use of force report.

The U.S. District Court in Louisville have decided to throw federal charges along with state charges.

"This case was investigated jointly by the FBI's Louisville Resident Agency Office and the Louisville Metro Police Department's Public Integrity Unit. This case will be prosecuted by U.S. Attorney Christopher J. Parras and Assistant U.S. Attorney Amanda Gregory of the Western District of Kentucky.

Whitehead got a swollen face after the serving of knuckle style chili.

The charges could put the two men in federal time out for 30 years. Also Gentry could face charges that could land her in the iron college for up to 20 years.

The suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The three are being sued by Whitehead. He is saying that he was traumatized by the event.
