Obama: We Can't Benefit From Ignorance!

President Barack Obama issues executive orders on the gun control. He will present his proposals to Congress. It's going to be a contentious fight with Republicans and the National Rifle Association.

From the Huffington Post, The New York Times and Associated Press, the president enacted gun control proposals by executive order.

The proposal, which comes at the end of a month-long review process spearheaded by Vice President Joe Biden, is broken down into four key subsections: law enforcement, the availability of dangerous firearms and ammunition, school safety and mental health.

In an effort to touch on all four of those elements, the president recommended requiring criminal background checks for all gun sales; reinstating the assault weapons ban; restoring a 10-round limit on ammunition magazines; eliminating armor-piercing bullets; providing mental health services in schools; allocating funds to hire more police officers; and instituting a federal gun trafficking statute, among other policies. The cost of the package, senior officials estimated, would be roughly $500 million, some of which could come from already budgeted funds.

Because these recommendations require congressional approval, the administration is supplementing its proposal with 23 executive actions that will be taken immediately. Those actions include requiring federal agencies to hand over relevant data for a background check system; providing law enforcement officials, first responders and school officials with better training for active shooting situations; directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence; and many more.

"I intend to use whatever weight this office holds to make them a reality," said the president, speaking about his full set of recommendations. "If there's even one life that can be saved, then we've got an obligation to try."

The approach is so sweeping that what would have otherwise been a headline-grabbing announcement received second billing. The president on Wednesday will nominate Byron Todd Jones, the acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, to take over the post permanently.

In total, the proposal goes beyond what most gun control advocates were hoping for at the start of Biden's review process, during which he held 22 different meetings with 229 different organizations and 31 elected officials.

"This is a monumental moment. It's a long time coming and we're thrilled the president's putting the full weight of his office behind this," said Josh Horowitz, executive director of the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. "We're ready to push this thing through."

But putting together ideas is the easy part. Selling them on the Hill will take a bit of legislative craft.

The president goes into the forum with determination that he can get this done!

"I will put everything I've got into this and so will Joe [Biden]. But I tell you, the only way we can change is if the American people demand it," said Obama. "We are going to need voices in those areas and congressional districts where the tradition of gun ownership is strong."

"It can't just be the usual suspects," he continued. "This will not happen unless the American people demand it."

The gun-rights lobby has already signaled that it will try to block the administration's effort. A spokesman for the National Rifle Association did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the president's proposal. But the organization has already harshly criticized the Obama administration for overreach.

Ronald Reagan once wrote in the New York Times that he supported the Brady Gun Law. The 40th President Of The United States survived a near assassination. He was shot by John Hinckley, a man with mental issues and obsession with actress/director Jodie Foster.
President Ronald Reagan survived a point blank shooting by John Hinkley in 1981. The president was in Washington when the WHITE terrorist shot him. Reagan's press secretary at the time Jim Brady was severely injured and was left paralyzed.
Shot in March 1981, Ronald Reagan revisits it in the 1991 piece. He stated that 10 years ago a deranged young man standing among reporters and photographers shot a policeman, a Secret Service agent, my press secretary and me on a Washington sidewalk.

I was lucky. The bullet that hit me bounced off a rib and lodged in my lung, an inch from my heart. It was a very close call. Twice they could not find my pulse. But the bullet's missing my heart, the skill of the doctors and nurses at George Washington University Hospital and the steadfast support of my wife, Nancy, saved my life.

Jim Brady, my press secretary, who was standing next to me, wasn't as lucky. A bullet entered the left side of his forehead, near his eye, and passed through the right side of his brain before it exited. The skills of the George Washington University medical team, plus his amazing determination and the grit and spirit of his wife, Sarah, pulled Jim through. His recovery has been remarkable, but he still lives with physical pain every day and must spend much of his time in a wheelchair.
Victims of gun violence. The families of victims lost to the Sandy Hook tragedy in 2012.
Thomas Delahanty, a Washington police officer, took a bullet in his neck. It ricocheted off his spinal cord. Nerve damage to his left arm forced his retirement in November 1981.

Tim McCarthy, a Secret Service agent, was shot in the chest and suffered a lacerated liver. He recovered and returned to duty.

Still, four lives were changed forever, and all by a Saturday-night special -- a cheaply made .22 caliber pistol -- purchased in a Dallas pawnshop by a young man with a history of mental disturbance.

This nightmare might never have happened if legislation that is before Congress now -- the Brady bill -- had been law back in 1981.
Heat.
Named for Jim Brady, this legislation would establish a national seven-day waiting period before a handgun purchaser could take delivery. It would allow local law enforcement officials to do background checks for criminal records or known histories of mental disturbances. Those with such records would be prohibited from buying the handguns.

The current gaps among states, those that have waiting periods report some success. California, which has a 15-day waiting period that I supported and signed into law while Governor, stopped nearly 1,800 prohibited handgun sales in 1989. New Jersey has had a permit-to-purchase system for more than two decades. During that time, according to the state police, more than 10,000 convicted felons have been caught trying to buy handguns.

Every year, an average of 9,200 Americans are murdered by handguns, according to Department of Justice statistics. This does not include suicides or the tens of thousands of robberies, rapes and assaults committed with handguns.

This level of violence must be stopped. Sarah and Jim Brady are working hard to do that, and I say more power to them. If the passage of the Brady bill were to result in a reduction of only 10 or 15 percent of those numbers (and it could be a good deal greater), it would be well worth making it the law of the land.

President Barack Obama heard the call of the American nation and he decided to work on getting things done! With the power of his pen, the president signed off executive orders to make law enforcement and those in the health industry to look into individuals with mental issues.

The proposal would instead affect the future production and sale of military-style weapons or high-capacity magazines.

"We are not going to go after existing stock of weapons or magazines," said a senior administration official. "We are going to limit it to the manufacturing of assault weapons and clips going forward."

The White House nevertheless insists that its package of proposals has teeth. It would provide law enforcement with the mechanisms needed to go after the illegal transfer of weapons and help prevent those weapons from falling into the wrong hands. It would also stem the use of military-style weapons -- the White House says its proposal would improve on the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban, which was riddled with loopholes -- and give schools and communities resources to address violence when it occurs.
President Barack Obama promised swift action to curb gun violence in the United States. He meets with survivor and gun control advocate Jim Brady.
The question, in some respects, is not what's missing from the set of ideas, but what took the administration so long to get to this point.

"It is not as though we had this whole policy paper sitting on the shelf somewhere," said a senior administration official. "[We worked] 24/7 for the past month. And we met with a lot of groups and we learned a lot of ideas that came as a result of this process. We tried to be as comprehensive as possible. We are hoping that as the process goes on and as the debate goes on, we might come up with some other ideas."

The president also knocked the Republican and Democratic members of Congress still focused on getting "A" ratings from the NRA. The members of Congress who vote against gun control usually are embraced by the NRA.

The president also makes note of the gridlock in Congress and urged the American people to demand representatives and senators to get things done on gun control.

The president also endorsed the NRA's idea of having more school resources and guards in the nation schools. The NRA has maintained that any proposals regardless of what the president does they'll oppose.

Given the opportunity to look into the entertainment industry (i.e. video games, rap music, rock music, movies, television, blogs), the president noted that educators and those who study health in children should look out for warning signs of violence. Also as a parent, the president also noted that no parent wants to lose a child whether at Newtown's Sandy Hook, the Clackamas Town Center, a place of worship such as the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin, the Aurora movie shooting, or the streets of Chicago.

This issue is developing and we here at Journal de la Reyna will keep you informed about the latest news in the president's proposals and the debate over gun control in Congress.

LAPD Kick The Genitals Of Alesia Thomas! Dies Of Suffocation!

Alesia Thomas' death sparks controversy with the Los Angeles Police Department.

Black and Latino people vs. Los Angeles Police Department.

We're experiencing another dose of reality with America's most professional and yet controversial law enforcement agency. The boys in blue managed to get themselves wrapped up in another controversy. Like the New York Police Department, America's second largest city has a huge police force. Los Angeles County covers about 8 million residents. The City of Los Angeles has nearly 4 million residents. The Los Angeles Police Department has over 10,000 uniformed officers watching the quadrant of 498 square miles of city limits.

Often known for their aggressive campaign to stop gang violence, the LAPD sometimes gets wrapped up in controversy of its own. The LAPD has been copiously fictionalized in numerous movies, novels and television shows throughout its history. The department has also been associated with a number of controversies, mainly concerned with racial animosity, police brutality and police corruption.

A woman claims she was roughed up during a traffic stop on
Michelle Jordan was kicked in the face after LAPD pulled her over.
We want to seek justice for Michelle Jordan, a woman who was brutally abused by LAPD officers. The 34-year old mother was beaten down after she got into it with an officer. She was pulled over after being spotted talking on cellphone while driving.

Police say Jordan was pulled over for a cell phone violation and got out of her car and became confrontational with the officers.

According to Jordan, she merely got out of her car, and the next thing she knew she was being slammed to the ground and handcuffed.

Another person who was abused by the LAPD was a banking executive. Brian Mulligan has already filed a $50 million lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles.

According to Mulligan, police mistook him for a suspect going berserk near a fast food restaurant in Eagle Rock on May 14. He claims police searched him, found at least $2,500 in his car and then took him to a nearby motel.

Mulligan says he thought he had become bait in a sting operation and tried to leave and that's when officers attacked him.

Brian Mulligan was knocked out by LAPD.
From Redding News Service comes a buzz worthy story. We here at Journal de la Reyna want justice for Alesia Thomas. We want the FBI and U.S. Justice Department to investigate members of the LAPD for police brutality.

According to KTLA 5, the CW affiliate from Los Angeles, five LAPD officers have been removed from field duties and are under administrative investigation in connection with the death of a woman who suffocated while being taken into custody.

And now the family of 35-year-old Alesia Thomas is speaking out to KTLA News in a search for answers regarding her death.

"I think they killed her," Thomas's grandmother Ada Moses says. "She wasn't a bad girl. She was a good girl. I miss my granddaughter. That's all I have to say."

The altercation in front of Thomas's apartment was captured by a patrol car's video camera.

LAPD Deputy Chief Bob Green confirmed that one officer, while trying to get Alesia Thomas into the back of a patrol car, told her something along the lines of "get your fat ass in the car."
File:LAPD Seal.jpg
The female officer then threatened to kick Thomas in the genitals if she did not comply, Green confirmed, and the officer followed through on her threat.

After officers forced her into the back seat of the police car, Thomas is also seen on the video breathing shallowly. She eventually stopped breathing.

LAPD Media Commander Andrew Smith said the investigation is in its early stages. "In the Academy we do still train people to use kicks in instances involving use of force," Smith said. "Whether it was appropriate in this instance, I don't know. That will be up to the investigation to determine."

"I take all in-custody death investigations very seriously," LAPD Chief Charlie Beck said in a statement late Thursday. "I am confident we will get to the truth no matter where that leads us."

The incident comes a day after Beck announced he was transferring a captain from his command after a separate videotaped incident in which two officers were shown slamming a handcuffed woman to the ground.

Beck had said that video raised concerns and that the department was investigating the officers, who have been removed from field duty.

The Thomas incident occurred July 22 after she had left children. Officers went in search of Thomas, finding her at her home in the 9000 block of South Broadway.

After questioning her briefly, the officers attempted to arrest Thomas on suspicion of child endangerment.

Thomas "began actively resisting arrest" as officers attempted to take her into custody and one of the officers took her to the ground by sweeping her legs out from beneath her, the LAPD's official account said.

Two other officers then handcuffed Thomas behind her back and attempted to lead her to a patrol car while a supervising sergeant observed, according to the department's version of the incident.

Two more officers were summoned to the scene as Thomas continued to struggle.

Green confirmed that Thomas was a very large woman.

A "hobble restraint device"-- an adjustable strap -- was tightened around Thomas' ankles to give the officers more control over her and she was eventually placed in the back of the patrol car, the LAPD account said.

The official account, however, made no mention of what Green confirmed was a female officer's questionable treatment of Thomas.

The department's official account said the officers immediately notified paramedics.
Beck's statement said he wanted to find out whether Thomas had been under the influence of any drugs or suffered from a medical condition that could have caused her death before he passed judgment on the officers.

Four police officers and their sergeant were removed from field duties after the incident.

Investigators from the department's Internal Affairs unit opened an investigation into the death, Green said.

Famed Hip-Hop Manager Chris Lighty Found Dead!

The hip-hop community is mourning the death of legendary entertainment manager Chris Lighty.

The guy who managed the careers of Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott, and LL Cool J has died. Chris Lighty was apparently found dead by a gunshot wound to his head according to his family members.

Lighty and his partner Mona Scott founded Violator Management.

Like rival Jimmy "Henchmen" Rosemond, Lighty has ties to criminals.

Lighty has been wanted by the feds for sometime on issues involving his taxes.

The Associated Press reports, Chris Lighty, 44, was discovered at his home in the Bronx with a gunshot wound to the head, and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

No note was recovered, but a 9 mm handgun was found at the scene and there was no sign of forced entry, said Paul Browne, chief spokesman for the New York Police Department.

The medical examiner's office will determine a cause of death, but authorities say the shooting appears to be self-inflicted.

Lighty was behind some of rap's leading figures, helping them not only attain hit records but also lucrative careers outside of music. He had been a part of the scene for decades, working with pioneers like LL Cool J before starting his own management company, Violator. But Lighty had been having recent financial and personal troubles.

Twitter was abuzz with condolences on his death just hours after the body was found at about 11:30 a.m.

"R.I.P. Chris Lighty," Fat Joe posted on his account. "The man that saved my life!"

Diddy wrote: "In shock."

Rihanna posted: "Rest peacefully Chris Lighty, my prayers go out to family and loved ones! Dear God please have mercy."

And Mary J. Blige wrote: "U never know what can send a person over the edge or make them want 2 keep living. take it easy on people."

50 Cent said in a statement issued through his publicist that he was deeply saddened by the loss:

"Chris has been an important part of my business and personal growth for a decade. He was a good friend and advisor who helped me develop as an artist and businessman. My prayers are with his family. He will be greatly missed."
50 Cent (left) and LL Cool J (center) were managed by Chris Lighty's Violator Management Group. Ludacris (right) stand with 50 Cent and LL Cool J. LL Cool J went on to recording 14 albums and continues a role in acting. He still continues his ties with Def Jam. Ludacris is the founder of Disturbing Tha Peace and is signed under Def Jam. 50 Cent is currently on Interscope Records signed through Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment and Eminem's Shady Records.
Lighty was raised by his mother in the Bronx, one of six children. He ran with a group called The Violators, the inspiration for the name of his management company, according to the company website. He was a player in the hip-hop game since he was a kid DJ. He rose through the ranks at Rush Management (Simmons' first company) before eventually founding Violator Management in the late 1990s. (Mona Scott and James Cruz are partners).

"Today, we lost a hip-hop hero and one of its greatest architects," Simmons tweeted.

Lighty's roster ranged from Academy Award-winners Three 6 Mafia to maverick Missy Elliott to up-and-comer Papoose and perpetual star Carey. He made it his mission not so much to make musical superstars, but rather multifaceted entertainers who could be marketed in an array of ways: a sneaker deal here, a soft drink partnership there, a movie role down the road.

In a 2007 interview with The Associated Press, Lighty talked about creating opportunities for his stars _ a Chapstick deal for LL Cool J, known for licking his lips, a vitamin supplement deal for 50 Cent.

Busta Rhymes and Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott were managed by Chris Lighty. Busta Rhymes signed to Universal-Republic Records under Cash Money Records. Missy Elliott is signed to Atlantic Records.
"As music sales go down because kids are stealing it off the Internet and trading it and iPod sales continue to rise, you can't rely on just the income that you would make off of being an artist," he said at the time.

Lighty is survived by his two children. He and his wife, Veronica, had been in the process of divorcing. The case was still listed as active, but electronic records show an agreement to end it was filed in June.

He was also having financial trouble. City National Bank sued Lighty, whose given name is Darrell, in April, saying he had overdrawn his account by $53,584 and then refused to pay the balance. The case was still pending.

He also owed more than $330,000 in state and federal taxes, according to legal filings. His tax problems were much steeper a year ago, but he cleared away millions of dollars in earlier IRS liens last October, after selling his Manhattan apartment for $5.6 million.

Lighty once managed Ja Rule of Murder, Inc. fame. He cut ties with the rapper after threats by Irving "Irv Gotti" Lorenzo. When 50 Cent engaged in a longstanding feud with Ja Rule, Chris Lighty jumped on the single with rappers Eminem and Busta Rhymes for a retribution diss on Tupac Shakur's "Hail Mary" beat.

Violator had released two albums under its belt. One included the hit single "Vibrant Thing" by veteran rapper Q-Tip.

U.S. Soldiers Plot Murder Of President Barack Obama!

Pfc. Michael Burnett and Private Christopher Salmon were arrested with two others in an apparent plot to assassinate President Barack Obama. The FBI uncovered these individuals after an informant tipped them off.
Not even a full week and we're covering more radicalism within the conservative movement. The White nationalist movement is dangerous. The online rage and rabble rousing from the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity has motivated some to commit acts of domestic terrorism.

White supremacists are actively recruiting the returning soldier, the angry veteran, the former cop, and the rejected young person. These people are willing to be the gofer to a domestic terrorist attack. The lone wolf gunman has no real motive. The lone wolf gunman is either upset over rejection and they feel that in order to attract attention, they commit a mass shooting. The only thing that inspires a White supremacist is hate of a diverse nation and the potential reelection of the first Black president. They already concluded that Barack Obama will win reelection. They want to start the great "race war".

The American Family Association/Family Research Council shooting was one of the most recent incidents in which a person was inspired to commit an act of violence. The voices of the angry White conservative male led to one shooting a security guard at the conservative lobbyist group in Washington, D.C.

Floyd Lee Corkins II, 28, of Herndon, Virginia was apparently inspired by the talk radio and the conservative lobbyist groups strong opposition towards LGBT rights. This gentlemen will face the possibility of decades in prison if convicted for the shooting. Family Research Council was labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil rights organization.

The reports say that Corkins told the guard he didn't like the group's politics before opening fire with a semiautomatic handgun. Corkins was carrying dozens of rounds of ammunition and 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches, according to the court documents.

The Washington state area man who emailed the FBI and  U.S. Secret Service threats to the president and his family. Anton Calouri, 31 of Federal Way, Washington had made it clear he was angry at the president.
Hate is rising.
Calouri issued a warning to the FBI of a “cop-killing spree…just over the hill” and said that dying “isn’t frightening…it’s peaceful…you will see.”

“You can’t afford to call my bluff,” said Calouri. The threat arrived in the general inbox for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the affidavit says.

The Los Angeles Times says that he was charged in a criminal complaint with threatening the president and assaulting a federal agent. He made an initial appearance in federal court in Seattle, where his lawyer said she would seek a psychological evaluation. A bail hearing was set for Monday.

“Recent national events are a stark reminder that we must take these threats of death or violence seriously,” Jenny A. Durkan, U.S. attorney in Seattle, said in a statement. “This case had all the troubling ingredients: threats of violence and explosive devices, multiple weapons with hundreds of rounds and even brandishing of a weapon at law enforcement.”

In charging documents, federal authorities said that U.S. Secret Service agent   Bryan Molnar and Federal Way police officer Andy Hensing on Tuesday afternoon cautiously approached the address Caluori had listed as his in the email.

It seemed clear that Caluori would be expecting them. The email commanded: “GET HERE…NOW!!! Or [expletive] THIS PLANTE [sic]…HARD!!!”

Wade Michael Page, a White supremacist who was once enlisted in the U.S. military attacked a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin. He managed to kill seven individuals before being killed by law enforcement.

The tragic shooting at a movie theater in Aurora,Colorado by James Holmes led to 12 people being killed and numerous others injured. Federal prosecutors haven't determined what inspired him to kill but it's likely his anger at government and being rejected by society factors to this shooting.

U.S. Army Sergeant Anthony Peden and Pvt. Isaac Aguigui were arrested with two others. They called themselves F.E.A.R., a radical militia group that plotted the killing of federal officials including President Barack Obama.
Now we're looking into the assassination plot by four active military officers in Georgia. The individuals had ties the sovereign militia movement. The movement is inspired by White nationalism and the fundamental Christian theories.

According to the Huffington Post/Associated Press, these men based out of southeast Georgia killed a former comrade and his girlfriend to protect an anarchist militia group they formed that stockpiled assault weapons and plotted a range of anti-government attacks, prosecutors told a judge Monday.

Prosecutors in rural Long County, near the sprawling Army post Fort Stewart, said the militia group of active and former U.S. military members spent at least $87,000 buying guns and bomb components. They allege the group was serious enough to kill two people – former soldier Michael Roark and his 17-year-old girlfriend, Tiffany York – by shooting them in the woods last December in order to keep its plans secret.

"This domestic terrorist organization did not simply plan and talk," prosecutor Isabel Pauley told a Superior Court judge. "Prior to the murders in this case, the group took action. Evidence shows the group possessed the knowledge, means and motive to carry out their plans."
Conservatives think that radical Islam is a threat. Nope. It's Christian radicals who are motivated by individuals who have anger towards illegal immigration, abortion doctors, gun control, urban crime, gay rights, and President Barack Obama.
One of the Fort Stewart soldiers charged in the case, Pfc. Michael Burnett, also gave testimony that backed up many of the assertions made by prosecutors. The 26-year-old soldier pleaded guilty Monday to manslaughter, illegal gang activity and other charges. He made a deal to cooperate with prosecutors against the three other soldiers.

Prosecutors said the group called itself F.E.A.R., short for Forever Enduring Always Ready. Pauley said authorities don't know how many members it had.

Burnett, 26, said he knew the group's leaders from serving with them at Fort Stewart. He agreed to testify against fellow soldiers Pvt. Isaac Aguigui, identified by prosecutors as the militia's founder and leader, and Sgt. Anthony Peden and Pvt. Christopher Salmon.

All are charged by state authorities with malice murder, felony murder, criminal gang activity, aggravated assault and using a firearm while committing a felony. A hearing for the three soldiers was scheduled Thursday.

Prosecutors say Roark, 19, served with the four defendants in the 4th Brigade Combat Team of the Army's 3rd Infantry Division and became involved with the militia. Pauley said the group believed it had been betrayed by Roark, who left the Army two days before he was killed, and decided the ex-soldier and his girlfriend needed to be silenced.

Burnett testified that on the night of Dec. 4, he and the three other soldiers lured Roark and York to some woods a short distance from the Army post under the guise that they were going target shooting. He said Peden shot Roark's girlfriend in the head while she was trying to get out of her car. Salmon, he said, made Roark get on his knees and shot him twice in the head. Burnett said Aguigui ordered the killings.

"A `loose end' is the way Isaac put it," Burnett said.

Aguigui's attorney, Daveniya Fisher, did not immediately return a phone call from The Associated Press. Attorneys for Peden and Salmon both declined to comment Monday.

Also charged in the killings is Salmon's wife, Heather Salmon. Her attorney, Charles Nester, did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Pauley said Aguigui funded the militia using $500,000 in insurance and benefit payments from the death of his pregnant wife a year ago. Aguigui was not charged in his wife's death, but Pauley told the judge her death was "highly suspicious."

She said Aguigui used the money to buy $87,000 worth of semiautomatic assault rifles, other guns and bomb components that were recovered from the accused soldiers' homes and from a storage locker. He also used the insurance payments to buy land for his militia group in Washington state, Pauley said.
They hide in the shadows. The militia movement has grown and the Southern Poverty Law Center has raised concerns  about the potential of a domestic terrorism threat.
In a videotaped interview with military investigators, Pauley said, Aguigui called himself "the nicest cold-blooded murderer you will ever meet." He used the Army to recruit militia members, who wore distinctive tattoos that resemble an anarchy symbol, she said. Prosecutors say they have no idea how many members belong to the group.

"All members of the group were on active-duty or were former members of the military," Pauley said. "He targeted soldiers who were in trouble or disillusioned."

The prosecutor said the militia group had big plans. It plotted to take over Fort Stewart by seizing its ammunition control point and talked of bombing the Forsyth Park fountain in nearby Savannah, she said. In Washington state, she added, the group plotted to bomb a dam and poison the state's apple crop. Ultimately, prosecutors said, the militia's goal was to overthrow the government and assassinate the president.

Fort Stewart spokesman Kevin Larson said the Army has dropped its own charges against the four soldiers in the slayings of Roark and York. The Military authorities filed their charges in March but never acted on them. Fort Stewart officials Monday refused to identify the units the accused soldiers served in and their jobs within those units.

"Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield does not have a gang or militia problem," Larson said in a prepared statement, though he said Army investigators still have an open investigation in the case.

"However, we don't believe there are any unknown subjects," he said.

District Attorney Tom Durden said his office has been sharing information with federal authorities, but no charges have been filed in federal court. Jim Durham, an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Georgia, would not comment on whether a case is pending.

Tragedy At New York's Empire State Building!

Again another mass shooting. Despite the concerns raised by the Southern Poverty Law Center, law enforcement and gun control advocates, right wing extremism is on the rise.

Mitt Romney and the Republican Party will not acknowledge the growing anger within the conservative movement. They are allowing people like Sean Hannity, Matt Drudge, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh continue their charade of rabble rousing people who take politics too far.

Expect President Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, New York Democratic Senators Kristen Gillibrand and Charles Schumer, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to make statements on the situation.

And in this case the tragedy in New York appears to be an apparent workplace shooting. The New York Police Department is one of the finest and most controversial law enforcement agency in the country.

According to multiple news sources, the shooter Jeffery Johnson was apparently fired from his job over a year ago and he decided to take revenge on those who fired him.

Over multiple causalities and two confirmed dead. We will keep you updated on the situation as it develops.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to those who were lost in this senseless tragedy.

The "Sticky Icky" Got Norway Banning Snoop Dogg!

A few years ago, rapper Snoop Dogg was detained in the Kingdom of Norway after he was caught in possession of his "medicine" and a stack of dollars. He acknowledged his frequent use of the medicine and the Norwegian courts fined a hefty sum and was allowed to perform. Well after an assessment of the situation, the rapper is banned from the country for the next two years.

According to the Associated Press and SOHH.com, a hip-hop news blog, Snoop must wait two years before entering the European country.

Snoop Dogg, whose name is Calvin Broadus, was on his way to a music festival in southern Norway in June when sniffer dogs detected eight grams of marijuana in his luggage. He was also carrying more cash than is legally allowed and was fined 52,000 kroner ($8,600) after admitting to the two offenses, the lawyer said.

The rapper didn't seem to mind the ban. Snoop Dogg is licensed in California to have an ounce due to his medical prescription.

This latest controversy adds to the rapper's arrest in Texas on the charge of possession. In 1993, the rapper escaped a murder conviction charge after he and some associates were accused of killing of a gang member.

Phillip Woldermarian, a member of a rival gang who was shot and killed by the rapper's bodyguard, McKinley Lee; Snoop Dogg was charged with murder along with Lee as he was driving the vehicle from which the shooting had commenced. The rapper and his bodyguard were defended by Johnnie Cochran. Both Snoop Dogg and Lee were acquitted; Lee was acquitted on grounds of self-defense, but Snoop Dogg remained entangled in the legal battles around the case for three years.

Snoop Dogg, country music star Willie Nelson, rappers Wiz Khalifa, Method Man, Redman and Ludacris are advocates of legalizing marijuana for recreational usage.

Snoop Dogg appears on Doggystyle Records/Priority Records.

Anaheim: Police Shooting Of Unarmed Citizen Sparks Riot!

Matt Drudge and the his cabal of racist jackasses click to the story. Add their usual word salad of insults towards Blacks, Hispanics, President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, and you got a real swingers party.

The last time a riot broke out in a city and the media covered it was the costly and yet deadly Los Angeles riots of 1992. I am guessing that conservatives are trying to get the ball running on this story. Unfortunately, the media is covering that white guy who shot up a suburban movie theater. The Drudge Report and likely a conservative agitator will address this as the LA Riots in the age of Barack Obama.

By Doug Irving, Eric Carpenter, Sean Emery and Micheal Mello of the Orange County Register are covering the riots and they've reported that a handful of citizens were arrested after a melee broke out in the California  city of Anaheim. Police officers shot an unarmed person and I am assuming that the U.S. Justice Department and FBI are looking into the matter.

Remember that conservatives and White supremacists are rooting for an all out race war. They want the Blacks and Hispanics/Latinos to get riled up and destroy property. In turn they can claim that it's those evil traitors (uh, the progressives, the Democratic Party, President Barack Obama, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Nancy Pelosi) rooting on chaos while "patriots" like Mitt Romney and Darrell Issa are willing to help these "folks" get off the dependency of government.

They've reported that more than 20 people under arrest, police reported restoring order Wednesday  morning after a fourth day of clashes between officers and protesters angry over two fatal officer-involved shootings in Anaheim last weekend.

At least five people were reported hurt in the unrest, with crowds setting fires, smashing windows and throwing rocks and other projectiles at officers in riot gear who fired non-lethal rounds at demonstrators refusing to disperse.

One person was taken to a hospital after being struck in the head with a pepper ball fired by police. Two Register reporters were injured – one was hit in the head with a rock and the other hit in the foot with a projectile. Both will get medical attention today.

A police officer suffered a minor arm injury, said Sgt. Bob Dunn, an Anaheim police spokesman.
Manuel Diaz, 25 was gunned down by the Anaheim Police. He was a petty criminal a citizen that was unarmed when the police confronted him. The officers claimed that he held something in waistband and they opened fire.
Additionally, one person was injured during a fight among protesters.

Police battled "pockets of unrest" in downtown Anaheim late Tuesday night, hours after a large crowd attempting to get inside City Hall broke into violent protest.

About 20 minutes before Tuesday's 5 p.m. City Council meeting, a 200-strong crowd tried to get inside the packed City Hall.

They were rebuffed by police officers who cited fire standards and would not let anyone else into the crowded council chambers, where the council held its regular meeting and talked about what the crowd was upset about: two police shootings over the weekend.

A half-dozen officers blocked City Hall's entrance, while the crowd gathered around and hurled obscenities.

As the crowd pressed closer, officers with helmets and batons came out the front door and pushed the protesters back, angering them.

After several minutes, some protesters called for everyone to hit the street.

For the next five-hours-plus, the tug of war between protesters and police persisted.

The crowd marched along Anaheim Boulevard to Lincoln Avenue, going into the street and blocking traffic.

Some pounded traffic signs and pulled trash cans into the street, while others pulled back the cans. One man with a bullhorn shouted how the protest was to be peaceful. A boy spray-painted a utility box. Some protesters grabbed sand from flower beds and a traffic cone and threw them at officers.

Anaheim police were assisted by officers from Garden Grove, Tustin, Brea, Fullerton and other agencies.

About 7:40, police lined across Broadway and in front of City Hall in riot gear. The crowd, now 500 strong and peaceful, stood about. Women with strollers came out to take a look. A church handed out fliers, "Jesus loves you. Come to our church."

At 8 p.m., police from a helicopter's speaker told the crowd to leave the Broadway/Anaheim Boulevard intersection or face arrest. Few, if any, budged.

Authorities announced a dispersal order at Anaheim and Broadway shortly before 9 p.m., then released pepper balls at the feet of the protesters, prompting the crowd to move rapidly away.

Some regrouped nearby, while others scattered throughout downtown.

Police took at least five people into custody, one for resisting arrest, said Sgt. Bob Dunn. A fight between demonstrators left one person "significantly injured," but the victim is expected to survive.

Rocks were thrown at police throughout the protests. Officers deployed bean bags and pepper balls.

Numerous trash bin fires in nearby neighborhoods were reported throughout the evening. The crowd also broke windows to some downtown businesses, including a Starbucks.

Earlier in the evening, four or five men were seen filling 1-gallon glass bottles with gasoline and placing rags in them at an Arco Station at Anaheim Boulevard and Broadway, said Jon Dunton, a legal representative for the business. Police were called and directed employees to shut down the pumps.

While the number of protesters decreased throughout the night, police said those who remained were "intent on causing trouble."

"They seem to be destructive," Dunn said.

Police expected to remain on alert throughout the night. By 10:30 p.m. the large groups had dispersed, but there were more than 100 scattered protesters causing "pockets of unrest" in the downtown area, Dunn said.

"We hope to restore order by the morning," Dunn said.

Tim Pool, an independent journalist who goes by Timcast on Ustream and Twitter, did a live webcast from the Anaheim protests.

On his webcast, at least six fires could be seen within about 45 minutes. The fires were in a trash bin, on the side of roads and alleys and inside a garbage can, which melted. He also witnessed a woman being struck in the legs.

Pool stayed behind police lines for most of the night, but when he veered out, he was fired upon with pepper balls and impact rounds, despite showing a press pass, he said. As of 10:35 p.m., he was unable to get back to the action.

Earlier in the day, the Anaheim Police Association said that the Anaheim officer who fired a fatal shot at an unarmed man this weekend saw some kind of object in the man's waistband and feared it was a weapon.

The association's account, and a $50 million lawsuit filed by the man's mother, offered new details about the shooting that killed 25-year-old Manuel Angel Diaz. An attorney for Diaz's mother said he was shot in the back, then fell to his knees and was shot again in the head.

Police have described Diaz as a known gang member and said he fled on foot down a residential alleyway when officers approached him Saturday afternoon. They have declined to speak in any more detail about what led to the shooting.

The next day, an Anaheim gang officer shot and killed another man, Joel Mathew Acevedo, 21, in an unrelated incident. Police also described Acevedo as a known gang member and said he opened fire on officers during a foot chase.

The back-to-back shootings have sparked several demonstrations.

"The community is scared and angry," said Joanne Sosa, who helped organize Tuesday's protest. "We don't want violence, we just want those people (in City Hall) to know things need to change."

Diaz was talking with friends when police confronted them, according to an attorney representing Diaz's mother in her lawsuit against the city. All three ran, and two officers chased Diaz, attorney Dana Douglas said in a statement.

One of the officers had recognized Diaz as a known gang member and saw him holding a "concealed object" in his waistband with both hands, according to the police association. He ignored their orders to stop running, then pulled the object from his waistband and turned toward the officers, the association said.

"Feeling that Diaz was drawing a weapon, the officer opened fire on Diaz to stop the threat," the association said in its statement. Anaheim police said after the shooting that Diaz was not armed; the association declined to say what the object that the officer reported seeing was.

The attorney for Diaz's mother called that account of the shooting an "absolute fabrication." She said Diaz was shot in the back and the back of the head, so it would have been "physically impossible" for him to have turned toward the officers. She also said no witnesses she interviewed had seen Diaz turn.

A city spokeswoman did not return phone calls seeking comment.

Douglas said she also filed a formal claim for damages against the city, a precursor to a lawsuit in state court.

The day after Diaz was killed, a gang investigator patrolling a nearby neighborhood saw a stolen vehicle and tried to pull it over, according to the police association. The driver instead led officers on a short pursuit and crashed; three people got out and ran.

One of them, Acevedo, turned during the chase and fired a handgun at an officer, the police association said.

The officer returned fire, killing him. A handgun was recovered next to his body.

Russia Today is possibly the most trusted news in the world.
Court records show that Acevedo pleaded guilty in 2010 to resisting a peace officer and in 2009 to street terrorism and receiving stolen property. Diaz pleaded guilty in 2011 to drug charges and in 2008 to having a firearm on school grounds, with a street-gang enhancement, records show.

The two shootings in two days brought to six the number of officer-involved shootings in Anaheim so far this year; five were fatal.

Officers fired bean bags and pepper spray into a group of protesters that had gathered near the scene of the Diaz shooting Saturday. A police dog also escaped its handler and charged into the crowd.

"It's wrong what the police are doing. It's like it's 'shoot to kill' now," said Pauline Miltimore, who joined Tuesday's protest outside City Hall and said she was Acevedo's cousin. "Even if it doesn't make a difference, I have to (protest). It broke my heart when I found out."

The FBI is reviewing whether a civil-rights investigation is warranted after the two shootings, spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said. City leaders have also invited the state Attorney General's Office and the U.S. Attorney's Office to investigate.

The District Attorney's Office is investigating both shootings, which is standard protocol for officer-involved shootings.

Love Thy Father... Aurora Shooting Tragedy!

Gordon Cowden was a loving father of teenage children. At the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises, gunman James Holmes opened fired killing him and eleven others.
The Aurora shooting tragedy has claimed twelve lives. The American movie theater was the place where a deranged gunman opened fire on a crowd of moviegoers attending the Batman: The Dark Knight Rises premiere a week ago. Warner Bros., producer Christian Nolan, actors Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman and  Anne Hathaway all send condolences to the victims of this horrible tragedy.

The movie features Batman taking on Selena Kyle (Catwoman) and mercenary Bane. The movie is slated to take in nearly $1 billion in ticket sales. With the movie was the thought of thousands of fans waiting for midnight showings.

Remembered: The memorial service for movie theater shooting victim Gordon CowdenMidnight showings are a common theme of movie theaters who want to rake in thousands of dollars in first run features that are slated to be huge draws. The Dark Knight Rises,The Avengers, The Amazing Spiderman, the upcoming Twilight movie, the upcoming Superman and Transformer movies are expected to draw millions in the coming years. These movies are always guaranteed to take in a huge opening.

This tragedy has opened up the debate over gun control. This tragedy has opened up the controversial issue because of the firearms used by James Holmes were considered once banned by the 1993 Assault Weapons Ban that was signed into law by then President Bill Clinton.

We focus on Gordon Cowden, a father who was killed during the tragedy. All Gordon wanted to do was to give his teenage children to see the premiere when James Holmes opened fire on the family. He was killed in front of his children. This callous young man right now may face the death penalty for this tragedy. As the Gordon is laid to rest, the world will at least know a little bit about him.

According to The Daily Mail Gordon Cowden, 51, was the oldest of the 12 people killed when a gunman opened fire at the Dark Knight Rises midnight showing last Friday. His teenage children escaped unharmed after they had gone with their father to see the blockbuster.
Shock: The three daughters and ex-wife of Gordon Cowden leave the Pathways Church in Denver, Colorado after attending the memorial service for the 51-year-old
Gordon leaves behind a wife, a son and three daughters.
Mr Cowden lived in Aurora, the Denver suburb where the theater is located. A family statement described him as a 'true Texas gentleman' who loved the outdoors and owned his own business.

The memorial was also attended by Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan and Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates.
Later this week, families of other victims planned to say their final goodbyes.

His family said in a statement: 'A quick-witted world traveler with a keen sense of humor, he will be remembered for his devotion to his children and for always trying his best to do the right thing, no matter the obstacle.'

Carrying flowers and passing a large portrait of Cowden, about 150 mourners gathered for the memorial at a Denver church. Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper paused at the photo before entering the church.

Ice-T Goes O.G. On Rush Limbaugh!

Ice-T is the "Original Gangsta"

In the wake of the Aurora shooting tragedy, many are coming to grips to how such a young man who had an inspiring future could become a killer. James Holmes, opened fired on moviegoers a week ago killing 12 injuring over 60. The rush to judgment argument comes in the form of blaming political views for the tragedy.

Conservatives are riled up over the fact that they're always blamed for anything that involves a mass shooting incident and the shooter happens to be a White person. They complain that media figures accuse conservatives of being responsible for inspiring mass shooters.

With all the overheated anti-Obama rhetoric, one is to believe that someone's who soaks up this rhetoric isn't prone to attack another person based on political affiliation.

Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Neal Boortz, Sean Hannity and Michelle Malkin are front and center working at the crank up outrage machine. They're screaming at the top of their overpaid lungs that those evil traitors (uh I meant liberals and President Barack Obama) are blaming the Tea Party and "patriotic" Americans such as them for the gunman who mercilessly gunned down innocent victims.

Rapper Ice-T (Tracey Marrow), is the original gangsta (O.G.). The actor/rapper/media mogul is married to reality star and buxom beauty Coco Austin. The couple have been in the news lately for their reality television series Ice Loves Coco and they're attracting a strong following. Ice-T is the main star off the NBC police drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He's written a bestseller book based off his life as one of the country's most controversial rappers. He released eight albums under his name and numerous others with his group Body Count and his secondary group Sex Money & Gunz.

Ice-T has been a thorn to the conservative movement. When his group Body Count released the anti-police single Cop Killer, many activists including L. Brent Bozell and C. Delores Tucker were determined to put the chill on Ice-T.

Ice-T, Tupac Shakur, N.W.A., Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Jay-Z, Eminem, Nas and Ludacris were subjected to boycotts by conservative activism.

Rush Limbaugh hits President Barack Obama over his statements of concern with firearms in the hands of the mentally insane. Limbaugh believes that the president's hasty reaction to blaming the firearm industry could disadvantage law abiding citizens from owning firearms. He took to notice to Ice-T's comments about "tyranny" when the government comes for the guns.

According to the Huffington Post, Ice-T has some major beef with Rush Limbaugh, after the radio host marveled that he knew the meaning of the word "tyranny" on Tuesday.

Ice-T recently defended gun ownership in an interview on London news, calling the right to bear arms "the last form of defense against tyranny." Limbaugh praised his stance on the issue, but found his use of the word "tyranny" with a British "sophisticate" especially remarkable.

"He knew the word 'tyranny,'" Limbaugh said. "And he knows that tyranny comes from government representatives. Double impressive."

Ice-T did not take kindly to his remarks. “Rush Limbaugh said he was impressed I knew the word 'tyranny'... He's a racist piece of sh--,” on the rapper's official Twitter page.

Later, he responded to some of the replies, saying "Hahah some of y'all are saying Limbaugh is not racist?? Check this” and linked to an article called "Top 10 Racist Limbaugh Quotes." He also directed fans of Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly to "UNFOLLOW now."

Small Smiles: A Little Girl's Story!

Veronica Moser-Sullivan was the youngest victim of the Aurora tragedy.
The tragedy in Aurora, Colorado is an ongoing issue. This is one of the worst shootings in American history.

This equals up to the mass shooting at Fort Hood Army Base, in Texas. Nidal Hasan was the military officer who opened fired on his fellow soldiers killing 13 and injuring numerous others. This tragedy was in November 2009. Conservatives were blaming President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder for the tragedy. They claim that the president didn't even want to acknowledge Hasan's ties to al-Qaeda and the Yemeni-American cleric Anwar Al-Awlaki. The cleric inspired the Christmas airline bomber, the Time Square bomber, the cargo airline bombing plot and the call for the assassination of a woman who wanted to mock prophet Mohammad. Conservatives want to say that Hasan is a terrorist. Some claim that he was a lone wolf gunman. Hasan is facing the death penalty if the Leavenworth officers find him guilty on mass murder.

Shooting suspect James Holmes is accused of killing 12 and injuring over 60 people.

James Holmes could have been inspired by conservatives such as Michael Savage, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. Of course, conservatives rush to blame the president for politicizing the event and blames liberals for rushing to judgment in determining this person is a conservative. Now if he was determined to be a conservative, they would make the claim that he was a "Democrat." Joel Pollak of Breitbart News has already put forth the notion that since he's a gun-lover and hoarding ammunition, he's a liberal Occupy Wall Street activist. But you also get the NRA warning that the president wanted to take guns the moment he's gotten into the White House. Of course, President Barack Obama hasn't signed any legislation that takes firearms.

But of course, that hasn't stop activists like the current president of the NRA, the perennial candidate for higher office Wayne LaPierre. This gentleman has been on the speaking circuit trying to scare up some fundraising. This political debate over gun control is a controversial issue. The president and the Democrats are tepid in this because they know the conservatives are riled up and this issue will become a defining issue.

Veronica Moser-Sullivan and mother Ashely Moser
Veronica and her mother Ashley Moser were attending the Batman movie when James Holmes attacked. Ashley suffered severe injuries. She had a miscarriage of her unborn child. She is now likely paralyzed and her daughter was killed by the gunfire.
Today we talk about the young girl who didn't even get an opportunity to see her future. And of course, the hardest thing to hear is the death of a small child by a firearm.

Veronica Moser-Sullivan was the youngest victim of this horrible tragedy. The little girl with her mother Ashley wanted to get a glimpse of the Batman movie. Holmes opened fire injuring Veronica and her mother.

Ashley was severely wounded. Her family told Ashley the tragic news of Veronica being killed. The family fears that if Ashley see the news of the tragedy, it may send her into shock! Ashley is pregnant and the shock could injure her child. The injuries could leave the young mother paralyzed. It was reported that her injuries took a toll on her unborn. The young mother had a miscarriage.

According to The Daily Telegraph UK, the young mother shot in the neck and stomach during the Colorado massacre was said to be "absolutely devastated" on Sunday night after finally being told of her six-year-old's daughter's death at the hands of gunman James Holmes.

"I don't know how but she still has the baby," her brother Robert Sierra told the Daily Mail. "It's a miracle as she was shot in the stomach."

Her grandmother Jean Moser told The Daily Telegraph that family members had been told that Ashley's condition was too serious and doctors had warned against telling her news of Veronica's death too early.

The heartbreaking tale emerged as the town of Aurora, near Denver, reels from one of the worst mass shootings in US history, which left 59 injured in addition to those who were killed.

On Sunday night Barack Obama was due to visit the town to meet victims and their families. The president has suspended his election campaign in the wake of the massacre. Mr Obama and Mitt Romney, the Republican presidential candidate, have come under pressure to address the issue of gun control in America.

Kaylan
13 year old girl named Kaylan tried to save the little girl lost in this horrible tragedy.
The tragedy has a shade of heroism. A teenager managed to rush to the aid of the young girl. The media announced that the young girl named Kaylan who is aged 13 rushed to the aid of Veronica. But with all the panic, some were told to leave the victims.

Many felt that this tragedy could have been avoided if some of the moviegoers would have been armed as well. That's the irrational thinking of people who want "to be the hero!" No one knew what the outcome would of been if you had a person shooting in the crowd.

Movie theaters aren't well protected. Anyone could enter a movie theater and let off a weapon of mass destruction let alone use of a firearm.

The stories of heroism and tales of survival brings some closure. You can't bring back the many lives lost under gunfire. From Aurora to Chicago. From the United States to Afghanistan, people are dying at the hands of firearms. We here at Journal de la Reyna mourn the lost of Veronica Moser-Sullivan and every other victim of this tragedy.

An Ohio Man Sacrificed His Life For His Girlfriend!

Matt McQuinn was a victim of the tragic Aurora shooting. He sacrificed his life to protect his girlfriend Samantha Yowler. The young couple were watching the Batman movie when the gunman James Holmes attacked the moviegoers.

The Aurora tragedy has been in the news and stories of heroism keep our spirits up. The shooter, James Holmes is a 24 year old former medical student who opened fire on moviegoers at the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises, the last installment of the Batman franchise.

James Holmes appears in court in a state of daze and confusion. The judge in this case ordered Holmes held in custody under protective watch and solitary confinement. The charges are state and federal. The federal charges are for the shooting of three military officers. The nine that were killed were either protecting their girlfriends or the random person that Holmes shot as they fled the movie theater.

We at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to those lost in this horrible tragedy. Due to all the media coverage, it's unlikely Holmes will get a fair trial. The media is fully covering this tragedy and I am guessing most of the world is focused on this tragedy.

President Barack Obama went out to Colorado to comfort the families of the victims lost this weekend. The political warfare continues when conservatives online agitate the debate over how Americans are to mourn the lost of people. The political debate over guns will be front and center again. The National Rifle Association and gun shops are going to milk this for a profit. The NRA will send newsletters to emails saying that this tragedy is not the fault of the firearms, but a deranged individual. [Liberal] leaders like President Barack Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi are going to find ways to take away [our] guns. With the debate over firearms comes the debate over the way the president handles tragedies. Anything the president does will rile up conservatives. No matter what he does, they'll complain.

The irrational comments from those in the right wing are outrageous and callous at best. It's like the type of stuff that creates people like this James Holmes. Whether he done it or not, conservatives will continue their reactionary outrage over things that don't affect their lives.

Today we will talk about an Ohio man who sacrificed his own life to protect his girlfriend and her brother.

Matt McQuinn was a resident of Springfield, Ohio a city 20 miles east of Dayton. He and his girlfriend Samantha Yowler and brother Nick were attending the premiere of the blockbuster movie The Dark Knight Rises, unaware of the young man who came into the theater. The young man who was apparently wearing a tear gas mask and armed with multiple firearms including an AR 47 with heavy magazine shooting at the crowd.
Matt McQuinn was killed protecting his girlfriend.
As he was shooting into the moviegoers, Samantha was struck two times. Matt reacted like most people and took cover trying to protect her. He was shot three times. He was one of the many victims still in the movie theater after the injured and surviving escaped Holmes.

Matt was a 27 year old man who grew up in Dayton, Ohio lived in Springfield. He then moved out to the Denver area with his girlfriend Samantha. They were employed at Target Supercenter in Denver. According to family members, the two were in love and were planning on getting married in the future.

As reported by The Denver Post and Dayton Daily News, Matt McQuinn died protecting his girlfriend.

As a gunman calmly walked up the aisle of an Aurora movie theater Friday firing at moviegoers, the 27 year old Ohio native dived on top of Samantha Yowler. Her brother Nick, 32, also tried to shield her, said Robert L. Scott, attorney for the McQuinn and Yowler families.

Samantha Yowler, 27, was shot in the knee. Her brother escaped without injury. But McQuinn, from St. Paris, Ohio, was not as fortunate.

McQuinn's mother, Jeri Jackson, flew to Colorado on Friday as family members in Springfield tried to get information about what happened to McQuinn, according to the Dayton Daily News.

McQuinn's stepmother, Stacie McQuinn, said the hospital would not tell Yowler, who underwent surgery Friday, about her boyfriend's condition because the two were not related.

Matt McQuinn graduated from Vandalia-Butler High School in 2004. He met Yowler while the two were working at a Target store in Springfield, the Dayton Daily News reported. In November, the couple transferred to a Target store in Denver, joining Yowler's brother, who had lived in Colorado for the past few years.

Victim Of Aurora Shooting Survived Earlier Tragedy!

Again we at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to those lost in the tragic shooting in Aurora, Colorado.

We learn a little bit about the victims of the Aurora shooting. Jessica Redfield-Ghawi was a Texan girl with a passion to cover sports and had an exciting life. That was tragically taken by James Holmes, a deranged shooter who managed to kill 12 people while watching the premiere of Batman: The Dark Knight Rises

As the names are released, people are shocked about one in particular who survived an earlier tragedy. This  victim was a survivor of a Toronto mall shooting earlier this year. This young woman's death brings another painful reminder that life is innocent and this callous killer had no care for it.

Jessica Redfield-Ghawi was a 24-year old inspiring sports writer who was living in Denver with her boyfriend and his friends to watch the premiere of the The Dark Night Rises, the final Batman movie featuring Christian Bale and directed by Christian Nolan.

Jessica was full of life according to some who knew her, and wanted to live her life to the fullest.

Her earlier brush with tragedy happened only six weeks ago in Toronto, Canada. There was a mall shooting in which a gunman managed to kill two and injure three.

She managed to blog about the tragedy on her personal blog and talked about the earlier tragedy on her Twitter page.

jessica_headshot

According to the New York Daily News, Jessica was watching “The Dark Knight Rises” with a long-time friend when a gunman opened fire minutes into the midnight premiere.

She was shot twice, once in the head, her family said.

The young woman was attending the movie with a pal she had convinced to accompany her, Twitter posts show.

“Never thought I’d have to coerce a guy into seeing the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises with me,” Ghawi wrote in the hours leading up to her death.

“Of course we’re seeing Dark Knight. Redheaded Texan spitfire, people should never argue with me. Maybe I should get in on those NHL talks...”

Her final post to a hockey writer pal reads: “MOVIE DOESN’T START FOR 20 MINUTES.”
MIKE LUPICA: ARMED MONSTERS MEAN NO ONE IS SAFE

She was employed at KDVR 31, a Fox affiliate based out of Denver.

The day unfolds and we continue to hear stories of bravery and tragedy. We will cover some and tell their tales and hope that justice will be served to the individual(s) responsible for the tragic death of these victims.

Blame Game: The Aurora Shooting Tragedy!

James Holmes
This is the photo of the Aurora shooter James Holmes. He is responsible for the tragic shooting at a Batman movie premiere.
UPDATES TO THIS STORY WILL CONTINUE AS THE STORY UNFOLDS. THERE WILL BE CHANGES TO THE STORY AS MORE INFORMATION IS GIVEN!

The tragedy in Aurora, Colorado has gotten the nation in mourning. At least over a dozen people were killed in apparent shooting at the premiere of Batman: The Dark Knight Rises. There are many causalities and the number can change without notice. We at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the families of those who were lost.

Also the nation in blaming!

Conservatives are going to figure out that the shooter, James Holmes was a "Democrat" or "liberal". As explained earlier, I went to the websites that agitated the tragedy. The Drudge Report, Michelle Malkin (and Twitchy), WorldNetDaily, Breitbart News and The Daily Caller have mentioned this story. President Barack Obama send his condolences to the people in Aurora, Colorado. When the conservative news agitators reported this story, their readers go completely batshit! They claim that the president was insincere about this tragedy. They boast of conspiracies of President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder coming for their firearms. They have some of the most inflammatory comments saved for the shooter, but yet managed to take a dig at the president. Never a dull moment for the extreme!

Progressives will figure out the shooter was member of the Tea Party or carried views that are considered right wing extremist. We don't know if the person was a Republican! Many people who live in the apartment complex say that he was not a "friendly neighbor". That gives progressives a thought that this person is locked in the bunker strapping up for the great culture war!

I've listened to the Stephanie Miller Show fill-in hosts Chris Lavoie and John Fugelsang talk about the tragedy. They talked about Michelle Malkin making political hay about the tragedy. I've listened to the Rush Limbaugh Show fill-in host Mark Steyn talk about it. I've listen to the Sean Hannity Show and heard Hannity talk about it. They were upset that ABC News reporter Brian Ross blaming a Colorado Tea Party leader for the tragedy. Ross claimed that James Holmes, a Colorado Tea Party leader was responsible for the tragedy. ABC News retracted his statement. That had conservatives upset. Overall each of them have a different take on this.

Each of them were willing to fault the political affiliations and overheated rhetoric for this tragedy.

Of course, we got to figure out that President Barack Obama and the Republicans will be blamed for this automatically. The public will either blame the president or the Republicans for not controlling the incident accordingly.

I know this will be the rally call for the National Rifle Association. They'll make it a fundraising issue. They will claim that President Barack Obama and his allies in the progressive movement are working behind the scenes to take away the freedom to own firearms. They'll rally conservative white males to donate to the Republican Party or their organization. The National Rifle Association has been a huge motivator in riling up gun owners and it will continue to do so, even in a tragedy.

President Barack Obama
I don't want to point fingers at the Republicans and their allies in the conservative movement. But the rhetoric they've expressed during the presidency of Barack Obama, has been the boiling point for the irrational individual.

Many state legislators have advocated laws that allow firearms in public establishments such as bars, restaurants, libraries and even the church.

As a concealed carry firearm owner, I express my opinion in a simple term of endearment: What we say, do, or even think could have consequences.

A bullet has no eyes and it will always hit a target. Whether its property, an animal, or a human being, it's going to hit. If you're a human being, it's a life altering experience.

There's nothing worse than having a family member informed that they've lost an individual to a gun.

Again, I don't want to say that this gentleman, 24 year old James Holmes is a Republican or Democrat. That's not important. What I can say about this gentleman is simple: His obsession with firearms should have triggered law enforcement.

We have to make a decision when it comes to owning firearms. When do you use it?

I am certain that the political aspects will be focused on gun control. But don't count on the Democratic Party nor the Republican Party to find compromise.

Republicans will never agree on firearm restrictions. Even the moderates in the Republican Party fear the outcome if the NRA gets voters motivated. Democrats are likely more fearful of the NRA. Conservative Democrats who own firearms will look the other way while their Republican allies sign away laws that loosen restrictions on firearms.

And I've said it before and I'll say it again!

GUN RIGHTS FOR WHITE MALES! GUN CONTROL FOR BLACKS, HISPANICS AND MUSLIMS!

These people scream at the top of their lungs wanting control over us, but never control over them.

This tragedy has an effect. The rise of extremism. Another White lone wolf domestic terrorist. It doesn't matter if he's a Democrat or Republican, if he was politically conservative, he harbored views that contributed to this tragedy.

President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney send their condolences to the families of these victims. The president demands the Justice Department and Homeland Security to investigate this tragedy.
