Wrong Turn!

The suspect can't claim self-defense when the camera is rolling.

An Uber driver is shot and killed after she drove to a home of an elderly man who believed he was being robbed by the driver. It was apparently a scam call and a case of mistaken identity.

The incident happened in Springfield, Ohio.

This is a perfect example of why Congress failed America!

The Republicans seriously believe the Second Amendment is more important than the lives of the Americans who value safety, tranquility and shelter.

Gun violence is the number one threat in the United States.

Lo-letha Hall was just doing her job trying to deliver food and pick up riders. She didn't expect her life would be in danger by some crank.

The suspect is 81 years old. 

The victim was a Black woman. The suspect was a white man.

The Clark County Communications Center received a 911 call around 11 a.m. on March 25, in which the caller, William Brock, 81, reported he shot a subject on his property who was attempting a robbery.

Deputies and medics responded to the 7000 block of South Charleston-Clifton Road. Upon arrival, authorities found a female subject, Lo-letha Hall, on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. They also found Brock, who had injuries to his head.

Investigation showed Brock had been subject to a scam call concerning an incarcerated relative, which turned into threats and demands for money.

Ohio deputies investigating the vehicle and saw the suspect shoot the victim multiple times as she tried to leave.

Hall was an Uber driver who was unfamiliar with the circumstances of the scams and threats, and arrived at Brock’s residence to pick up a package as part of her job. When she showed up, Hall was unarmed and made no threats or demands, other than requesting the package from Brock.

Upon Hall arriving, Brock produced a gun and held her at gunpoint, demanding to know the identity of the scammers who had spoke with him on the phone. Hall had no such knowledge other than the delivery request made through the Uber application.

Brock took possession of Hall’s phone and refused to allow her to leave. Police noted that during this encounter, Brock did not make any attempt to call 911 for assistance.

Hall reportedly attempted to get into her vehicle and leave the property, at which point she was shot by Brock. Brock was also injured in the reported “scuffle” at the door of Hall’s vehicle.

Police say Brock shot Hall again during the altercation, twice more. Only after she was shot multiple times did Brock call 911.

Hall died from her gunshot wounds.

No remorse.

Because Hall was unarmed and presented no active threat, along with the fact that Brock failed to contact authorities while brandishing a firearm, he was arrested and charged with murder, a first degree felony. The sheriff’s office says more charges could be forthcoming as evidence is reviewed.

The original scam call to Brock by a male subject and the placing of a package delivery order through the Uber app which initiated this shooting is still under investigation by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The suspect faces 15 years to LIFE if convicted. 

These murderers don't have mental illness. They are calculated and prepared. It happened to be a moment where they have the opportunity to take out lives. There's no sickness in the head. Most mass shooters legally obtain their assault rifles without little background checks. They have likely no criminal history and they are willing to use the assault weapon in the only thing it's good for: Killing numerous lives.

I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns. Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases. 

Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is lawmakers not willing to stop gun violence.

According to the far right: White shooters are mentally ill. Black shooters are unrepentant criminals. Gay shooters are active groomers. Muslim shooters are terrorists. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants. Almost all mass shooters are registered Democrats because they have liked one thing common to the left. Of course, they often share disinformation by using the "Sam Hyde" meme as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white. They say a white person should "protect" from protesters and use of firearms are justified. They say if a shooter is active military or a veteran who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens, the far right automatically assume the gunmen are Black.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican lawmakers who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms. The far right and Republicans exploit gun violence in the Black community for culture wars and racism.

Columbus woman was just doing her job and this white extremist killed her.

So in closing, expect more.

Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to curb gun violence. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-semitic or in support of terrorism. You want an immediate ceasefire and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and lawmakers avoid influence from lobbyists.
