City Bus Workers Could Shut Dayton Transit Down!

Greater Dayton RTA's motto: It's Time to Ride.

The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority covers the Dayton, Ohio and Montgomery County with a portion of the bus lines going into Greene County. It has 29 routes and also a mobility line for seniors and special need riders. The RTA also has overhead trolleys. The trolleybuses cover a portion of the city and inner suburbs.

Dayton is the smallest city in the United States to still have overhead electric trolleys. Other cities include Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, and Boston. These cities have populations with over 500,000 residents.

In a city with 139,000 residents, the RTA is necessary for the 30,000 riders who use the public transit.

The RTA is facing a crisis within its ranks. The Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1385 is getting tired of dealing with the leadership's ineptness. Mark Doughney, the president of the RTA is facing calls for resignation after many drivers complained that the new rules imposed on drivers limit their break periods, their restroom breaks and time off.

Many of the drivers voiced frustration with the way RTA is working them. They now operate from 4:15 am on opening routes to nearly 2:30 am.

Now at the stroke of midnight, the city bus drivers will end their routes and walk off the job.

Dayton's mayor Nan Whaley and city's commissioners are pleading for RTA and the union to work out the differences for the sake of the community.

A strike could make life difficult for riders who need to get to work, school, or shopping districts.

A strike could cost RTA millions of dollars.

A strike could spell doom for union workers because if Republicans pass a NO STRIKE CLAUSE state law when it comes to public sector work, the RTA drivers could be fired out the cannon.

Ohio is a "right to work" state. The worker's unions across the country are being weakened by Republicans. They feel confident that they could destroy the unions and make employers hire people at lower wages and longer hours.

Ohio governor John Kasich and the federal government might get involved in this situation.

Some unfortunate facts about the RTA.

Many of the residents in this community support the fuhrer Donald J. Trump. So it won't be any surprise that some online white extremists are seething with glee watching others suffer. Most of the people who comment about the RTA often push racial stereotypes about the riders and the bus lines.

Many of them are assuming that many of the bus riders are geekers and druggies. Some openly call the workers, the riders and the people who support the RTA a bunch of NIGGERS or NIGGER-LOVERS. Some even resort to the childish name calling supporters LIBTARDS.

The junk food media here often sensationalize stories for ratings. I don't watch the news anymore because they allow Trump to win.

Beavercreek, Ohio a city that is located six miles from Dayton was a vocal opposition to the RTA and Greene County Area Transit Service having routes serve the Mall at Fairfield Commons.

The U.S. Department of Justice and Transportation warned Beavercreek that if they continue to deny bus service to the community they could lose funding for the city. Once the fuhrer Trump takes over, Beavercreek city leaders could ask for Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) and Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) to ask the DOJ to relinquish their recommendations. And Beavercreek could reinstate their public transportation ban.

RTA has wasted money big time on hydro-buses that hardly run, trolleybuses that don't often run and passing the expense onto the riders.  I live in the rust belt city of Dayton. The city has trolley lines that are hardly used. I mean there is probably 100 miles of trolley line in the city and only 45 miles of the lines are used. The city fare is $1.75 for an adult. You can get a transfer for $.25 and it's good for a connecting trip for up to 1 hour and 30 minutes.

It's one of the highest fares in the state.

Compare that to larger Columbus with 80 routes and Cincinnati with 50 routes. You are paying up to $35 a week on public transit. The average bus pass for a month is $95.

Dayton has only 29 routes.

Routes 3,4,5,7 and 8 are the bus lines that have trolleybus service. Route 1 and 2 have trolleybus service on limited service.

Since 2013, RTA returned bus service to the Dayton International Airport. For 15 years the bus never went to the airport. You had to have take a bus near the area and walk to the local shuttle buses that serve the airport when air travelers had to leave their vehicle overnight.

Route 1 and 16  are the only buses that serves Greene County. The bus has 90 minute commuters to Wright State University and the Mall at Fairfield Commons. In 2016, Route 16 was realigned to serve Costco Wholesale, Kroger Marketplace and Miami Valley Hospital South Campus.

The U.S. Department of Defense and the RTA worked out an agreement to have special buses serve the Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Montgomery and Greene County. The buses operate two times a day.

The RTA doesn't connect to Miami County, Warren County, Butler County, the remaining portions of Greene County and Clarke County.

The Southern Ohio Regional Transit Authority (Cincy Metro), Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK)  and Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) have buses that serve multiple counties, many business venues, their local airports and local attractions.

Dayton RTA has five transit stations. One that is located at the Westown shopping center. One that is located at the Eastown shopping center. One that is located in Trotwood which also serves at the Dayton Greyhound transit terminal. One located one mile from the Dayton mall. The final one is the downtown transit station which is located near the RTA headquarters.

The Dayton Mall has been under fire for banning the buses from the property. The only buses that serve the mall are routes that have very few riders. Route 23, 60 and 61 are crosstown buses that avoid downtown Dayton. The buses operate on a limited schedule and often are completed by 10pm.

Many of the county buses and crosstown Route 24 avoid the mall. They head to the transit hub or have a local stop about 1/2 mile from the mall.

Ohio State Route 741 known as Springboro Pike was reworked to have sidewalks. The speed limit was previously 45 mph. Now it's localized to 40 mph. They moved the pedestrian crosswalks to an area that is 1/2 mile from Ohio State Route 725. The Miami Township Police maintain a heavy presence around the mall. The Ohio State Patrol maintains traffic control on most roads around the mall.

Lyons Road where the South Transit Center is located is 1 mile from the Dayton Mall. The road has sidewalks and a bicycle lane. The speed limit around the area is 45 mph and the nearest light with a crosswalk is 1/4 mile from the transit center.

Dayton is still one of the most segregated cities in the United States.

Ah Sh*t, You Really Can't Fix Stupid! [NSFW]

Sonic Restaurants were none too happy about this "you can't fix stupid" moment. The Oklahoma City-based restaurant corporation operates over 3,500 restaurants in 43 states.

In Middletown, Ohio, a young woman is fired out the cannon after the city health inspector saw a disturbing post on social media. A woman and her crew posted on social media of the employee inside an ice machine.

The behavior of this employee was pretty stupid. She was smiling and acting pretty.

The manager self-reported the incident on Monday.

Carla Ealy of the Middletown city health department said that the actions of this employee is ridiculous and unacceptable.

Before the health department could contact Sonic, the Middletown manager promptly fired the employee out the cannon and disciplined the employees who took the picture.

Kristin Davis, director of communications for Sonic said all workers will be retrained and the facility will be monitored for progress.

The drive-in's management retrained all employees on the proper handling of ice and equipment use as this type of behavior is “unacceptable” and against company policy, Davis said.

Ealy said the incident occurred sometime Friday. Ealy said the goal of the Health Department is to follow up on potential health violations within three days of notification.

She inspected the ice machine on Tuesday and determined it was clean and operating appropriately.

Still, Ealy said, the actions of the employee "concern" her, and she's worried about the confidence of Sonic patrons. On one Facebook post about the incident, there were 56 comments, mostly negative, and the photo had been shared 238 times.

Hara Arena Closed!

Hara Arena, Dayton's oldest public venue closes.

No where else but Hara!

Dayton iconic venue the Hara Arena and Exhibition Center is closing. It will hold its last event on August 27 before it closes.

The Hamvention, a gathering amateur ham radio operators often hold their events at the facility. The news is devastating to the community. The city of Trotwood is a "ghost town".

Bill Goodman's Gun and Rifle Show, the City's Flea Market, WWE Wrestling, the Dayton Demonz, The Annual Bride Show and high school proms were often held at the Hara Arena.

Not to mention rock shows, hip-hop concerts and monster truck rallies were held at the event.

According to the local news agitators, the venue's internal legal fight couldn't be solved.

The Wamplers are feuding with one another over the direction of the depleted complex. When you pass by it, it looks so run down and it was in need of repairs.

Trotwood hopes to score the Montgomery County Fairgrounds near the property. Mind you that Dayton was hoping to convert the current venue into a mix-used lifestyle center.

Kind of reminds me of the failed Ballpark Village.

Sad days are ahead in Dayton, Ohio.

Matter of fact, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were supposed to have their first debate at the Wright State University's Nutter Center. The event was canceled and it cost Dayton badly.

They claimed that event would cost $8 - 10 million. Wright State University will be passed on when 2020 comes.

Dayton a rust belt city with 137,000 residents A city that sits within 70 miles of Columbus, 90 miles of Indianapolis and 60 miles of Cincinnati. Dayton is a city that has no value whatsoever.

Ohio Woman Kills Boyfriend On His Birthday!

Dayton man shot to death on his birthday, woman arrested
Dayton woman murdered her boyfriend on his birthday.

There was a murder in my community today. The long hot summer once again in Dayton, Ohio.

The city police reports a record month in gun violence in one single month. This incident has close ties to me. I know the shooter. I don't know her personally, but I went to high school with the suspect.

Dayton man shot to death on his birthday, woman arrestedThis was a domestic violence incident. The woman killed her boyfriend on his birthday.

The Dayton Police quickly arrested the woman and booked her on capital murder charges. She will face a judge in the coming days.

Nina Davis used to go my high school back in the late 1990s. Now this woman is the suspect in a fatal homicide in Dayton, Ohio. She murdered 37-year old Travis Smith in their home.

The incident happened on Patton Avenue.

Davis confessed to the crime saying that she and argument before the shooting.

Davis did it in front of her children.

Some cold hearted nonsense in my city.

World News Today send our condolences to the family of Travis Smith.

Davis is innocent until guilty. The murder charge alone will put her in the iron college for LIFE. If the prosecutors decide on more than LIFE, it could be the death card. If this was an act of self-defense, Davis would have to prove that the victim was abusive towards her and the family.

The Law Cuffs Jilted Lover Who Murdered His Ex-Girl!

Police: Man shot, killed ex-girlfriend in Trotwood photo
An Ignorant man kills his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend.

In the ghost town city of Trotwood, Ohio, a murder happened. This would be the city's fifth killing this year. The victim, Tayisha Gibson was murdered in cold blood by her ignorant ex-boyfriend John Bailey.

Bailey who was already on federal watch was pissed that Tayisha was moving away from the "Thug" nature. Bailey broke into her home and caught Tayisha and her new boyfriend off guard.

He got into a heated confrontation and physical contact. Like a punk, he decides to pull out his semi-automatic and let the bullets travel everywhere. About a handful traveled through Tayisha and the boyfriend.

They were severely injured. Tayisha didn't make it through the night. She died on route to the hospital. The boyfriend may have life altering injuries and may survive the event.

Tayisha was the mother of a young child.
Tayisha Gibson

Bailey was quickly rounded up by the law. Trotwood Police aided by the Montgomery County Sheriff's department are trying to figure out how the felon obtained the weapon.

They may eventually round up the person who gave a convicted felon the firearm.

Bailey had a conviction but he was out on bail. So the weapons under disability charge will first assure him 20 years. The aggravated assault charge will carry 15 years to LIFE. The murder charge will carry the GAS. His get out of jail card is $500,000 full.

Bailey is innocent until proven guilty. The suspect should have moved on. This pathetic twenty-something could have went to social media to find him a girl. Matter of fact he could have just walked away. But I guess love can make people do crazy things.

At least this killer wasn't placed on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted page like jilted killer Brenda Delgado.

She was caught up in Mexico a few days after the Feds placed her on the list.

World News Today send our condolences to the family of Tayisha Gibson. We also send our prayers to the victim of this senseless act of gun violence.

Springfield, Ohio Lost Its Target!

Target announces another round of closings. Springfield, Ohio loses its only store.

Springfield, Ohio was dealt a blow. The Minneapolis based retailer announced another round of closings. The closings are affecting areas where they claim sales are in decline.

In the latest rounds of closings, the First Avenue location is on the list. The only Target store in the area will close in January.

That leaves Dayton metropolitan area four area locations. Huber Heights, Beavercreek, Centerville, and Miamisburg locations are still open for the time being.

Since 2013, the areas surrounding the Upper Valley Mall and Bechtle Avenue shopping district were hit with retail closing up.

When it was announced J.C. Penny and Macy's were closing in the same period, it put the nail in the coffin for the Upper Valley Mall. It's now declared a dead mall.

Springfield Ohio's only Target store is closing.
The mall is in receivership and the property's only anchor store Sears is considering closing.

The property hasn't secure a major anchor since the announcement.

The Bon Ton Corporation which owns Dayton-based Elder-Beerman closed first. Then Macy's and later J.C. Penny.

The Springfield city and township leaders are hoping that Hobby Lobby and Dick's Sporting Goods brings a little bit of good news to the area.

The Columbus area took a hit as well. Despite having the Hollywood Casino in the area, the Westland Mall is officially dead and everything around it is dying as well.

The Target Graceland location on West Broad Street in Columbus, Ohio is closing in January.

Target had closed all its Canadian stores in 2014-15. The 133 stores operated independently of the Target Corporation. It pull completely out of the country.

Target is trying to rebrand its image. They recently aired promotional for The Peanuts Movie and a cameo appearance from Brian and Stewie from Fox's Family Guy.

Dingleberry Kasich Thinks Democrats Enslave Blacks!

Ohio Republican governor John Kasich thinks Blacks are enslaved by "Democrat" polices.

My idiot governor is still in this clown car. He is hoping that people ignore his policies. He is riding this notion that people will ignore the noise and pick him as the nominee.

Our state has seen modest growth. But it has seen a rapid decline in population. Ohio's population grew 1.3% this year. That means if Ohio can't grow in population, it loses two congressional seats.

Ohio's unemployment is 4.6%. Kasich brags about his handling of the state. He doesn't realize that people hate his economy and they're exiting quickly to warmer venues.

If Republicans win the White House, the new president could ruin the progress of President Barack Obama and send this country back into a recession.

2020 is closing in and it seems like Republicans are likely to hold on to Congress throughout the rest of the decade. If they win in 2020, by 2022, Republicans will continue gerrymandering districts to keep a permanent majority.
John Kasich looks like Beetle Bailey.

Ohio governor John Kasich won reelection last year. He beat the Democratic nominee so badly, his mama felt it. Kasich carried nearly 30% of the Black vote. Him and Chris Christie appealed to Black voters. The Democrats lined up pitiful candidates and they got slaughtered.

The Blacks didn't really have a choice in who to vote for.

Kasich is now capitalizing off his "I got a Black friend".

Kasich is now going around telling voters that he can win the Black vote.

Like Jeb Bush, Kasich believes the Republicans are the party of empowerment. Many don't understand the Republican Party isn't for empowerment. It's the party of extremism. They can't even figure out which group their willing to piss off.

Kasich doesn't think Republicans and their idiotic policies and the looming government shutdown are the reasons for a struggling economy.

He believes Democrats (i.e. Bernie Sanders) are willing to give voters "free stuff" to win votes.

What amazes me, he thinks he could do it again now that he's gotten national exposure.

Kasich is polling in bottom tier. He has a measly 2%. He leads ahead of Rick Santorum, George Pataki, Rand Paul and Lindsey Graham.

The Republican clown car is starting to wane down. So far Scott Walker and Rick Perry bowed out.

Conservatives aren't looking for elected leaders as their nominee. They want candidates who have no experience in politics. That's why Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina are ahead.

Republicans fear these three insurgents will destroy their chances with moderates and on the fence Democrats.

Kasich also shared insight to the departure of Weeper John Boehner.

Boehner and Kasich singled out Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Marco Rubio for deliberately destroying the Republican Party and the country.

Ohio Suburb Eases Up On Bus Line!

The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority wants to expand into other communities.

About a few years ago, Beavercreek, Ohio was under intense pressure from local riders and the federal government to advocate public transit to its community. Beavercreek residents and city leaders were opposed to the bus line coming to the area.

The staunchly conservative suburb outside of Dayton, fought hard to keep the Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) from making stops near The Mall at Fairfield Commons.

The U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Highway Administration gave the suburb an ultimatum. The city better get a bus line out there or else lose federal funding for projects vital to the suburb.

Beavercreek city leaders approved the proposal and RTA managed to get a bus line out by the mall and Soin Medical Center.

Route 1 was rerouted in 2014. It was once a trolleybus route. Now it serves as a semi-county route. It begins at a layover loop in the census designated community of Drexel. It travels through U.S. Highway 35 for a brief moment. The bus passes through the junction where U.S. 35 meets Ohio State Route 49. Once it passes the junction, the bus travels east on Third Street, Dayton's dividing road.

Once it enters the city of Dayton, it goes to the Westown Transit Center and through Roosevelt-Westwood neighborhood. It also travel through the Dayton Aviation Historical National Park before it travels across the Dayton Peace Bridge. For a few miles it's also called Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Some segments of Third Street are dedicated to the slain civil rights leader. It also passes through the Dayton and RTA Cultural Arts Center before it heads toward downtown.

The bus travels through downtown. It passes through Sinclair Community College, the Canary district and Springfield neighborhood. It passes through Riverside and Wright Patterson Air Force Base. It enters Greene County where it runs a concurrent route pattern. One bus will go clockwise through Beavercreek and briefly through Fairborn towards Wright State University. The other bus will go counter clockwise through Pentagon Boulevard toward the Soin Medical Center and The Mall at Fairfield Commons. The bus terminates on Colonial Glenn Highway near the Wright State University campus. The road is devoted to U.S. astronaut and former senator John Glenn.

I've read the Dayton Daily News comment section. I've seen some of the most vile and racist word vomit from residents here complaining about how the ni663rs took the Salem Mall down. The concern trolls were complaining about the Dayton Mall being the hub of Get-Toe B'havior.

When the John Crawford shooting occurred in August 2014, many residents blamed the bus line for the shooting. They didn't find fault in the reckless call committed by Officer Sean Williams.

The concern trolls were saying that the bus line near the Mall at Fairfield Commons would turn the shopping center into a Z00.

So far, I've haven't heard much about unruly behavior at the bus stops. I mean there's only three measly bus stops near the Mall at Fairfield Commons. How many people actually ride that bus?
Dayton during the construction phase. Interstate 75 is being reworked through downtown. Beavercreek is six miles from downtown Dayton.
You have to wait at least 120 minutes to catch a bus.

The Greater Dayton RTA rallied for the next phase in its growth. They want to extend two routes to The Greene.

The Greene is close to celebrating 10 years in business. The shopping mall located in Beavercreek and Kettering is an outdoor mixed retail and housing center that gives residents a "downtown" shopping experience. RTA wants to be a part of the celebration. The owners of The Greene and RTA propose a bus stop located near the movie theater. The city leaders of Beavercreek are signalling approval of the bus line.

There are two buses that run near the mall.

Route 11 is county route that follows in a semi-circular path. Route 11 begins at Woodman Drive near Patterson Road. It travels towards the suburb of Riverside, the Eastown Transit Center and through the Wright Patterson Air Force Base before it heads towards Dayton. It covers the city of Oakwood, and a majority of Kettering. It passes through the Kettering Medical Center and Town & Country Shopping Center. The route terminates near the Kettering Recreation Center. The route passes near The Greene.
The Greene.
Route 12 is a local route that covers Kettering and the Five Oaks neighborhood. The route begins at the Good Samartian Hospital after a brief travel towards Northwest Plaza in Dayton. The route goes through Five Oaks and Upper Riverdale Neighborhood. It also passes through the McPherson neighborhood and the Dayton Art Institute. It goes through downtown and the Oregon Entertainment District. It follows a southwestern path towards Kettering. It passes near The Greene.

RTA is hoping to expand services into Miami, Greene, Warren County, Butler County, and extend their bus service to 2 am.

The bus company now has buses that serve The Austin Landing shopping complex, The Dayton Mall, The Mall at Fairfield Commons, the Dayton International Airport and Wright State University.

Dayton is the smallest city to still have trolleybuses. Out of five cities, Dayton is the smallest city to have overhead trolley wiring and bio-flex diesel trolleys.

Seattle, Boston, San Francisco and Philadelphia have trolleybuses that serve commuters. These cities have subways, light rail transit, commuter rail and ferries. Dayton doesn't have subways, light rail or commuter rail or ferries.

Any thoughts on RTA's decision to expand its bus lines?

Dayton Police Dealing With Murder-Suicide Attempt!

Man who shot girlfriend, self was subject of federal probe
There was an attempted murder on an employee at a Dollar General store in Dayton. The suspect killed himself after being sought by the law. Montgomery County Ohio lockup's mugshot of suspect David Hall.

The law is  trying to figure out why a man put a slug in a woman after a confrontation at a local Dollar General store in Dayton, Ohio.

According to the junk food media, the victim worked at Dollar General and the man was her ex-boyfriend. There was a cordial conversation and then it was a couple of minutes later, a gunshot.

The victim is down and the suspect escapes.

He goes to a Dayton home to tell his family what he's done! They ask him to turn himself in. He said he just can't do it. So after pleas were ignored, he put his Uzi in his mouth and the trigger popped.
Man who shot girlfriend, self was subject of federal probe
Police quickly arrive to Dollar General after 911 calls of a shooting of an employee there.
He drops. The medics arrive and they couldn't save the suspect. The victim on the other hand was shot in the head. She was shot through her face with a single bullet. She is fighting for her life.

Now the question is, what provoke this?

Dionne Sneed is the name of the victim. She is the mother of three. World News Today send our prayers to the victim and her family.

David Hall was the shooter. Hall's actions may have stemmed from his ties to the dope game.

The Dayton police release a trove of information about Hall. He was facing some federal charges for drug distribution. The Trotwood Police and Montgomery County Ohio sheriff are also involved in this case.

Hall snapped. Once again putting a firearm in the hands of the mentally insane. I know that the Uzi was an illegal instrument. There's thousands of unregistered firearms on the street because the federal government can't pass a comprehensive gun control law.

I know that the junk food media and concern trolls are quick to rush to judgement on Black criminals. They are guilty until proven innocent.
Dionne Sneed was trying to get rid of her boyfriend. He wanted revenge by trying to take her life.
Even in a clear cut situation, the gun was the real victim of this. They don't give two fucks about Dionne or the shooter.

Capt. John Porter of the Trotwood Police are the lead in this. The Dollar General store was located in his jurisdiction.

WHIO reports that Porter determined the ballistics are still being completed to confirm the gun Hall used on himself was the same one he used to shoot Sneed. However, he confirmed that Hall could not legally own a Mack-10 because it’s an automatic weapon.

Police believe the shooting was an attempted murder/suicide, even though Porter said detectives haven’t found a note indicating such, nor have they spoken to witnesses who said Hall intended to shoot Sneed. Witnesses said the two may have broken up, and Sneed asked Hall to move out of their home on Gettysburg Avenue in Dayton.

Hall may also have been “on the edge,” Porter said. Local police learned federal authorities issued a warrant for Hall. Hall does have prior felony convictions for cocaine-related offenses, according to court records.

Cassondra Smith, one of Sneed’s co-workers at Dollar General, described her as a kind person and said employees are hoping to get Sneed on a financial assistance program after she is released from the hospital.

Dayton Could Put An "I" With U.S. 35!

Interstate 575 traveling through Dayton, Ohio could become a reality.

This normally doesn't come up in the discussion. But sometimes I want to talk about things that I often think about whenever I travel through the rust belt city of Dayton, Ohio.

I had this feeling today about the future of this city. I conclude this area in particular is doomed. I think that Dayton is on the verge of being a "ghost town".

The mayor Nan Whaley is trying to dismiss the notion of Dayton being a "ghost town".

She hopes that the latest developments help bring Dayton back to its glory.

Dayton has recently announced they were developing the Water Street Residential District. It is a mixed retail commerce center that sits on the border of the Great Miami and Mad Rivers.

It is a slow rebound from the failed Ballpark Village and Walmart proposal. Bear Creek Capital was going to develop the area but it turned sour after the economy went south.
Water Street District is being built. But will it bring the people to Dayton?
Crayford Holdings is now in charge of this project. Hopefully this Water Street District will help the city bring in residents. I mean it's risky move, but Whaley and city leaders are hoping for a win.

Dayton is trying to curb the economic losses of businesses closing up, people leaving en mass and the negativity of urban blight.

It lost 30% of its population in the last 20 years. It's population at present time is 137,000 residents.

In its prime Dayton had over 200,000 residents. Once that all this dried up, the people were left without jobs and sense of happiness. So some who could afford the opportunities moved out.

The city has seen a gradual decrease in its population due to the loss of manufacturing, white flight and urban sprawl. The Midwestern city is caught between Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Columbus. These three cities have most of the area's major attractions.
U.S. 35 travels from Michigan City, Indiana to near Charleston, West Virginia. It passes through the Appalachian plateau.
Dayton's basically surviving on the military's continuation of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the mid level services (i.e.the Love's and Flying J truck stops, The Hollywood Gaming racino, and the health care industry).

Dayton's metro area includes its inner and outer suburbs with the addition of Troy, Xenia and Eaton as its extended areas.

I am traveler and love to get around town once in awhile. I like to visit areas in America that are quite unique. My community is no different.

Dayton, Ohio is the county seat of Montgomery County. Dayton is the sixth largest city in the state.

The main highway that travels through it is Interstate 75. It is a major north-south highway that travels from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to the suburbs of Miami, Florida. It is one of the many routes that goes toward the Canadian border.

The other interstates are Interstate 70 which doesn't pass through the city and Interstate 675 which bypasses the city.
The Federal Highway Administration has to confirm the U.S. 35 freeway is up to Interstate standards. If the freeway is up to standards, it will be labeled an interstate highway.
The secondary highways are Ohio State Route 4, Ohio State Route 49 and U.S. 35. They are limited access freeways that often have stop lights or stop signs on the pathway.

What determines a controlled access highway from an interstate?

The AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) releases a standards manual called A Policy on Design Standards: Interstate System. For a certain highway to be considered an Interstate Highway, it must meet these construction requirements or obtain a waiver from the Federal Highway Administration.

I had a thought that comes to mind. Could U.S. 35 be designated for Interstate standards?

Ohio residents could petition the state and FHA for 10 miles of  U.S. 35 to be co-signed with a 3-digit interstate highway. If approved by the Ohio Department of Transportation, the proposal would then go to the Federal Highway Administration for final approval.

Could Interstate 575 become a thing here in Dayton?

I believe that Interstate 575 would start from the James H. McGee Boulevard exit to Beavercreek at the North Fairfield Road interchange. Alongside the Interstate it would be co-signed with U.S. 35.

From Beavercreek, U.S. 35 begins it southeastern journey all the way to West Virginia.

Eventually U.S. 35 will be formally developed into a complete freeway with exit ramps and no street level intersections.

Springfield, Ohio's Upper Valley Mall Declared Dead!

Springfield, Ohio got hit hard with the news of two anchor stores at the Upper Valley Mall closing.

The micropolitian area of Springfield, Ohio got hammered with some of the worst news ever. The only mall in the area is going to lose two anchor stores. The Upper Valley Mall which is located three miles from Springfield will be a "dead mall".

Springfield is 22 miles from Dayton, Ohio. It was part of the Dayton metropolitan area until 2010.

The U.S. Census broke off Springfield from the Dayton area. It also redistrict this area for House Weeper John Boenher (R-OH).

Wondering what Weeper and insurgent Jim Jordan (R-OH) could do help bring Upper Valley Mall back to its glory?

Built in 1971 by the Edward J. DeBartolo Corp. from Youngstown, the mall features five anchor stores and offers four sit down restaurants. The Upper Valley Mall is located on the city's west side just off US-68. The mall was owned by Simon Property Group, an Indianapolis, Indiana based company. It is currently bank owned.

J.C. Penny's and Macy's announced their shutting down in late Spring. The stores both along with MC Sports and Sears made up the mall. The mall seen a significant decrease in human traffic since the 2000s.

The mall had at one time had five anchor stores. It once had Dayton's based Elder-Beerman (Bon Ton, Inc) and Old Navy.

J.C. Penny's also decided to close up shop at the Eastland Mall in Columbus and one in Greenville a city that's 35 miles from Dayton.

Kmart also closed its only Springfield location. There are now five locations in the metro Dayton area.

Me and S. Baldwin follow DeadMalls.com. It's an informative and yes sad take on them days of the great urban retail centers we once grew up knowing.

Ohio Deputies Traded Racial Slurs Online!

Captain Tom Flanders. (Photo/Montgomery County Sheriff's Office)
High ranking Montgomery County deputy was placed on leave after he traded racial emails to his fellow officers.

In Dayton, Ohio, the Montgomery County sheriff's office has placed two officers on administrative leave after it was discovered a few deputies were trading racial comments about the Black community through their police-issued devices. This is comes right after the grand jury found no probable cause for the NYPD officer who placed Eric Garner in a chokehold.

This comes a few weeks after the no probable cause verdict for the Ferguson officer who killed unarmed Michael Brown.

This happened a month after the no probable cause verdicts for Beavercreek and Provo officers who killed Jonathan Crawford and Darrien Hunt.

These deputies were pretty much having a field day online about the residents of color.

The Dayton chapter of the NAACP is calling for the removal of these officers. The Montgomery County sheriff Phil Plummer is hoping that the issue doesn't go to the U.S. Justice Department.

WDTN reporsts that Plummer has ordered an investigation into the officer's conduct through internal affairs.

According to the report five members of the force are under investigation but so far two high ranks are pulled.

“These text messages, while some of them may be some joking going on back and forth, some of them are flat out rude and racist,” said NAACP Dayton chapter president Derrick Foward.

The messages were exchanged between November 2011 and January 2013.

Sheriff Phil Plummer says the messages had racial overtones and were considered inappropriate.

“These five individuals have taken this organization three steps backward and will be held accountable,” said Sheriff Plummer. “I will not tolerate racism in this department.”

The sheriff described the texts as “very disturbing racial text messages”. He says one of the five deputies made the racially charged comment.

Foward turned over documentation of the complaint to the sheriff’s office Tuesday. Sheriff Plummer says the investigation is in its early stages, but it is important to public safety that both Flanders and Sollenberger be put on leave.

Plummer says the text messages were exchanged during both on and off the clock hours, but he says that deputies are always considered on the clock representing the community.

The messages were sent from personal cell phones.
Phil Plummer, sheriff for the county may have to fire the cannon a couple of times.
Flanders was a sergeant at the time of the text messages and Sollenberger was a detective under Flanders’ supervision. Both have since been promoted to their current positions.

Flanders is currently working as a jail administrator. Sollenberger is in Internal Affairs.

2 NEWS Investigates spoke with Captain Tom Flanders and his wife on the phone. He said the allegations are completely false and he has not been shown the text message transcript the sheriff is referring to. He and his wife said they are not racist and look forward to clearing his name. He has been with the sheriff’s office for 19 years.

Foward said the Dayton Unit NAACP will request an outside agency to perform an investigation. He said the complainant, who he would not identify, has made made that request.

Some of the emails and text messages included: I HATE NIGGERS! That is all.

Tidbits!

Oh it's Jell-O.

While I couldn't squeeze all the things happening during the weekend. I wanted to briefly cover some of the musings.

A pregnant woman in Ferguson, Missouri loss sight in her left eye after a non-lethal bean bag projectile went through a glass of her boyfriend's vehicle. She was protesting the decision. Her boyfriend's car was decorated with tributes to Michael Brown.

A Michigan man was stopped in Pontiac, Michigan by an officer on a call that he was looking "suspicious" by having his hands in his pocket. I'm not sure if this was staged or not, but it made me concerned.

We wait for the grand jury decision (not holding my breathe) on the Eric Garner case. Garner was placed in a chokehold by a NYPD officer. The grand jury is looking into whether excessive force and involuntary manslaughter should be placed on the officer. Garner was unarmed and officer Daniel Pantale grabbed him. Garner told the arresting officers he couldn't breathe and it didn't stop the wrangling down. After two minutes he was unconscious. They waited another three minutes before they could get medical assistance. He was pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital. Bill de Blasio and the NYPD police chief are trying to calm the potential for a public backlash.

As Republican state attorney general Mike DeWine gets involved in the Cleveland police shooting of Tamir Rice, the public believes that the two officers who shot Rice will not be indicted.

The Black Friday sales were at a low. Trouble looms for struggling big box stores. Too many discounts happened before Black Friday. Some businesses opened on Thanksgiving to serve customers.

Congressman Pete King (R-NY) and Rat Face Mark Levin want the president to apologize to Darren Wilson. The controversial agitator and his Islamophobic lawmaker buddy wants the president to invite the shooter of Michael Brown to the White House to public acknowledge he was wrong. Again the Republicans want the president to apologize. The very same ones who believe he apologizes for America. C'mon be serious.

Florida Republican official went to the social networks to say that Darren Wilson should be given a medal and the protesters should get their asses showered with the water cannons.

Bill Cosby was one of the most trusted individuals in the world. He ranked really high. But after allegations of rape by numerous women came forth, his stock tumbled. Nickelodeon pulled the plug on The Cosby Show. All shows that feature Bill Cosby are pulled. That means Fat Albert, iSpy, The Bill Cosby Show, A Diff'rent World, Cosby, Little Bill are off the roster. He recently resigned as an adviser to Temple University. The colleges cut ties with him. Some comedy clubs have banned him. Years of work, down the drain for the world's most favorite dad and complainer of the Black community.

The End Of Kmart?

Kmart logo.svg
The nation third largest retailer is going out like the cassette tape.

I was listening to the Associated Press radio reports this morning and I heard something that had me shaking my head. I never thought I would say this, but I have this feeling that 2015 will not be a good year for the "Blue Light Specials"

I predict in five years, the nation's discount department store Kmart will be a part of American history. It will be on the way out like most popular retailers that went out of business during its downward spiral. The nation's third largest discount retailer will be gone. Leaving Walmart and Target as the only discount retailers in the world.

Kmart is a nationwide retailer of electronics, toys, clothing, bedding, furniture and home decor.

The retailer was founded by Sebastian S. Kresge. When he passed away in 1966, his company joined the hyperstore movement as Kmart in 1977. It was based in Detroit's suburb of Troy until 2005.

It moved to Hoffman Estates, Illinois in 2006 when Sears found some ounce of hope for Kmart.

In the Dayton, Ohio suburb of Trotwood, Kmart closed in 2013. The suburb is dubbed a "ghost town" for the massive departure of big box stores and the demise of the Salem Mall, Dayton's first indoor shopping center.
When Sears was struggling, the company thought the best idea to save the business was to merge with Kmart.

I guess the merger isn't helping the struggling retailer. Sears Holding Group which owns Sears and Kmart are seeing the shoppers not interested in the deals they're offering.

Kmart is the only retailer that still advocates layaway.

In my opinion, the average Kmart is like a hot mess. The store looks "dirty" but at least some of their workers are friendly at best. Cleanliness is the first thing most shoppers see when they enter a Kmart.

If they see dirty floors, damaged products, potential opportunities for theft, poor lighting, potholes in the parking lot and limited selection of products, shoppers turn away. That is a fact.

I live in Dayton, Ohio. There's four locations in Englewood, Beavercreek, Riverside and Springboro. These are the remaining locations in the metro area.

They're on the verge of shutting down the remaining stores in the area. I am guessing Englewood and Riverside are next on the list of stores on the close.

Kmart recently closed the Trotwood store in 2013 and Fairborn store in 2014.

Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) is a major shopping day for Americans. The retailers are hoping to see the BLACK in sales. That usually means that a healthy economy comes from families shopping at malls, discount stores, car dealerships and even local businesses.

The malls, Kmart, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, Loews, and other big box stores depend on the Black Friday sales. If they can have a healthy Black Friday, they can be motivated to opening up potential stores in other areas. They can hire more employees and offer more deals.

This is a nightmare if a retailer fails to generate Black Friday success.

If that's not capitalism, then I don't know what I can tell ya!

Okay, what's your thoughts on this?

Ohio Police Nails Peeper In The Ladies Room!

A real winner ladies. This is his 15th time in the county lock up for looking up the ladies restroom stalls.

Yeah, ladies here's a winner for you.

This individual will certainly bring the racist right into the spotlight. This nimrod has been arrest more than a dozen times in the Dayton and Cincinnati area for his wondering eyes.

The sexual gratification Harold Rimblert III gets is kind of creepy. Just a few weeks ago, this was the same guy who peaked into a women's restroom at a local gas station.

Seriously, this guy really needs hobby besides this. He was busted in McDonald's women's restroom.

Bail set for repeat offender, voyeurism suspect photo
Recent mugshot at county lockup.
Previously he was caught in a Walmart, a Target, a Meijer and numerous other restaurants and gas stations.

He is a TIER IIII sexual offender in Ohio and he's banned from multiple properties.

Let's peak his history. I am guessing he's been traumatized by deaths of his father and grandfather. I peaked out the Legacy page and found that his grandfather and father both passed away some time ago. His first incident occurred in 2006. Almost a decade of doing this stuff. No remorse for it. Cause obviously he would be caught within a week doing the very same thing.

Witnesses say that Rimblert was lying on the floor, peering underneath a stall where another employee was using the facilities.

Rimblert fled but officers were already in the area and were able to arrest him in the parking lot of a Hardee’s restaurant across the street.

The call from employees to police occurred at 6:25 p.m. Rimblert was in custody by 6:31 p.m.
He has been taken to the Montgomery County Jail and is expected to have a bond hearing on Sunday.

An arraignment by video is expected to occur Monday.

Thompson said people need to be aware of their surroundings and familiar with Remblert because of his repeated arrests on voyeurism charges.

John Kasich's Easy Ride To Reelection!

Snore nominee is the latest failures for statewide office. This nominee for Ohio governor is going to be trashed after Republicans and their nominee incumbent John Kasich put the nail in the coffin.

A really terrible governor is actually good according to the latest polls.

Ohio governor John Kasich is likely going to cruise to victory after the Democrats rolled out their worst choice for nominee Ed Fitzgerald.  This nominee is so bad he could damage all nominees for statewide office.

Despite the negativity in Washington, Ohioans are fumed at the way Congress and the president handles business.

This state went to Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama more than once.

George Voinvich, Bob Taft and now John Kasich can say that they're the only Republicans known by me to win reelection. Since Richard Celeste managed to win reelection in my time, the only Democrat in my time that lost reelection is Ted Strickland.

Kasich is a former congressman, talk radio host and Loserville host. Rupert Murdoch and Chief Roger have invested their time in getting one of their personalities in the state house. Kasich was part of that frame.

The political fires for Fitzgerald came forth when he was caught with a woman who wasn't his wife.

That's a prostitute in my opinion. Then the latest shoe to drop on him was the fact for years as a FBI agent he was caught driving without a license. Who the heck drives without license and is a federal agent?

The Ohio Dems are pissed that Fitzgerld and running mate Sharen Neuhardt are flawed.

They both have not counter attack the strong responses from Republicans and John Kasich.
It's almost over.
Kasich won't even pity himself a debate with Fitzgerald. He said that he's comfortable enough to ride this all the way.

Yeah I have voted for Republicans before and yes I will do it again. It wouldn't matter if I didn't like the guy or not. But seriously, Democrats are so down in the dumps over Obama's failure to lit a fire, they will nominate anything to slaughter.

If the latest polls say that Kasich leading 55% to Fitzgerald's 25% with undecided being in the tail, it's clear that the Republican incumbent will have a term to wreck the state.

Kasich's key to victory was basically dropping the extremist agenda. The insurgents are pretty pissed that he somewhat embraced Medicare and Obamacare. They also hate the fact that he's giving away the pork. But one thing is clear, the insurgency is likely going to vote for him.

Ed Fitzgerald's lackluster campaign does hurt others.

Wendy Davis, the Democratic nominee for governor in Texas is taking on Republican insurgent Greg Abbot. Davis lit a fire with her filibuster over a bill that restricted abortions in Texas. But the fire claimed when the insurgency and racist right labeled her "ABORTION BARBIE".

My honest opinion of the gubernatorial races for the states this Midterm.

Family Cries Foul In Officer Involved Shooting At An Ohio Walmart!

Beavercreek officers fired on a man with a pellet gun. According to family, John Crawford II wasn't a criminal.

Local junk food media is covering the shooting at a Walmart in Dayton. The controversy surrounding the even involved a 22-year old man who was spotted with a firearm. A 911 caller tips the police and of course they respond. The police ordered the man to drop his firearm. He refused. They shoot and kill. The questions come forth.

Two Beavercreek, Ohio officers are on paid administrative leave. The two officers were involved in a shooting of a man who was carrying a gun. It turns out that the suspect John Crawford II was holding a pellet gun.

The family of Crawford is demanding answers to how this happened.

A 911 caller Ronald Ritchie followed Crawford around Walmart and stated that the suspect was walking through the store with a firearm.

Crawford's girlfriend and mother of his children challenge the Ritchie's claims. Crawford's girlfriend claims that he was on the phone with the mother of his children when all this jumped off. She lost sight of him after a few minutes. He was known to joke around while in a public place.

The police order the man to drop his firearm. He refused. They ended up shooting him twice. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other victim was a panicked customer. The customer was Angie Williams of Fairborn, Ohio. The mother of four was engaged. Her marriage was this month.

This situation is a reminder to the gun rights advocates. The open carry nonsense doesn't float in Walmart nor in any establishment with a large amount of people.

See if a Black person is seen with a firearm in the store, they call 911. They don't care if the Black man is walking around with a concealed license or even an attempt to purchase, trade or show off a weapon. It's 911 and at least five officers with their service weapon drawn.

If a White person is seen with a firearm in the store. I guess they wait until he actually fires on the people before they call 911. Obviously they say that's their right to bear arms.

In my honest opinion, Crawford should have not even goofed around in the store. I have no actual opinion of what happened. All I can say is the tape will determine what happen.

The FBI and Ohio Bureau of Investigation will determine if the law did the right thing. Walmart will probably focus on their pellet rifles. They will lock them up likely and warn customers not to open packages while in their stores.

This is an ongoing story, we will continue to follow the developments. We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to those lost in this senseless tragedy.

Ohio Cops Kill Crazed Gunman At Walmart!

Police investigate officer involved shooting at a Walmart in Beavercreek, Ohio.

This event happened while I worked at my job last night. I just barely got word of the tragedy that occurred at a Walmart in Dayton, Ohio.

HERE'S A STANDARD THAT IS OFTEN IGNORED: IT'S OFTEN THE NICE GUY WHO WILL BE THE NEXT DOMESTIC TERRORIST!

The nice guy would be the [person] who was rejected from a job, a relationship or experience family issues.

The nice guy would be isolated, reclusive and often a giver. When the nice guy is spurn, the nice guy would snap. They would commit acts upon others including themselves.

The gunman or victim would get apparent sympathy from some but condemnation from the world.

Say if this was a mass shooting. If this was a mass shooting, obviously you will get wall to wall coverage on the cable news and local news. The junk food media will obviously make some mistakes on the situation.

The agitators would make it a political issue. Some would call for gun control. Others would call for arming civilians. Some would blame liberals for being wussy advocates for the deranged. Some would blame conservatives for being idiots with blinders whenever a mass shooting happens in suburbia. The blame game is often a play in political theater.

The possibility of a shooting in a large gathering place is not rare! It's obvious a part of the growing problems with firearms and the deranged.

This lone gunman who went into Walmart while people were shopping. The gunman waved the gun around but never fired. The Beavercreek Police came in a hurry to the location. They ordered the gunman to disarm but he ignored their words. They used deadly force. The location of where the shooting occurred probably happened in the front.

This occurred at 8:00 pm Tuesday night. The gunman would later be shot and killed by Beavercreek police.

Not often a situation would happen in Beavercreek. We all as Americans never would expect this thing to happen. We normally live and do daily routines without thought of an active shooter.

Who would have thought an active shooter situation happening in one of world's largest retailer?

Matter of fact, if this happened in your own community?

These things happen! We never know when a person would snap. The family of the suspect tells the junk food media that they never would have expected him to do something like that. They could fathom a young man doing something like this. His actions lead to the death of an innocent woman.

On top of that, he's going to bring the asshat Colin Flaherty back into the spotlight. He loves stories like this.

Black on White crime is sugar to conservatives and White extremists. They bemoan that the junk food media ignores stories like this because they want to drive a narrative that Blacks and Latinos aren't racist.

The extremists claim that the media is liberal and against conservatives and White people. They figure that the suspect (i.e. Black man) is an Obama supporter, the "bad guy and good guy with a gun" narrative.

Stuff like this already pop up on That Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall's website. This stuff will link to the White extremists websites.

Flaherty is a White extremist who contributes to World Nut Daily. He wrote a book called White Girl Bleeds A Lot and he is chronicling every criminal incident in which a Black or Latino harms White people. Just this week an Alabama lawmaker said that White people are under attack.

Insurgency endorsed lawmaker Mo Brooks (R-AL) caused a firestorm earlier this week when he told Laura Ingraham that liberals and the Democratic Party wanted "OPEN SEASON" on Whites.

To make matters worse, this incident happened in the community where its residents aren't supportive of public transportation. They were aggressively against it because they believe it brought crime and riff raff to the community.

The crazed gunman was named John Crawford II.
John Crawford killed in Walmart shooting
Crazed gunman was identified as John Crawford II of Fairfield, Ohio.
He was the one who was going around the store causing a panic in which it caused Beavercreek police officers to use deadly force. We are learning more about the officers, the victim and the suspect.

A woman who was there at the Walmart had died. She wasn't shot but apparently she was shocked and may of had a medical emergency. We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to those lost in this senseless tragedy.

Beavercreek, Ohio is the controversial suburb of Dayton. Last year they were making so much noise about the Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority coming out there. They claimed that the public transit would cause so much trouble for the Pentagon Boulevard region.

The residents were upset that Route 1 would land near The Mall at Fairfield Commons and other establishments. They believe that crime would come if the bus comes to town.

Somehow I don't think this person was on the bus when he started shooting in the Walmart.

The Associated Press reports that the Montgomery County coroner's office investigator Jim Fannin said Wednesday that the 22-year-old John Crawford was fatally shot at a Walmart in the Dayton suburb of Beavercreek on Tuesday night.

Fannin says a 37-year-old Angie Williams who was in the store at the time also died, but it was due to a medical condition. Nobody else was hurt.
Angela Williams (center in pink shirt and black vest) died after collapsing during a shooting incident at the Beavercreek Walmart.
Dayton Daily News and Associated Press released photo of a victim. Angela Williams passed away after having a medical shock and heart attack.
Beavercreek police say the man was shot at around 8 p.m. after waving a rifle-type weapon around inside the store. Officers shot him after he failed to comply with verbal orders. He died later at a hospital.

No names have been released.

Walmart spokeswoman Brook Buchanan says the company is working with police and may have a statement later Wednesday.

Ohio Man Killed By Reckless Driver Fleeing The Law!

Questions mount over police pursuit that ended with a death of a man.

A.J. Ector wasn't a criminal. He wasn't a person involved in a high speed chase by local law enforcement.

He was an unlikely subject in a controversial story coming out of Dayton. He was a victim. A man who was killed after a police chase that turned extremely dangerous. The FBI, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Montgomery County Sheriff and numerous police organizations will look into the situation that happened.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of A.J. Ector.

The law sought a dope boy who was violating his probation. They spotted him and the dope boy took off.

The chase reached speeds over 100 mph. Around the "ghost town" near Ohio State Route 49 a man who was walking home was ran over without

The young man didn't even see it coming and he paid the price for a reckless driver and the law's attempt to apprehend.

According to The Dayton Daily News, suspect Aaron Johnson will be charged shortly for a probation violation, weapons under disability, vehicular homicide, fleeing and eluding.

The "ghost town" outside of Dayton along with multiple agencies are looking into

Trotwood Police officers and Montgomery County Sheriff deputies were involved in the pursuit, which started as a result of drug investigation.

Porter and Plummer did not respond to this newspaper’s request for the names of the law enforcement officials involved in the pursuit.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has ruled that Agyasi Ector, 27, of Trotwood, died of blunt force trauma and that the manner of death is accidental due to an automobile crash.

Brad Shaw, spokesman for the Ohio State Highway Patrol, said the state patrol is only investigating the crash and declined to comment on the preliminary investigation.

A funeral service has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 3300 W. Third St. in Dayton, according to Ector’s family and the House of Wheat Funeral Home.

Last week, Porter said an early review of the July 24 incident indicates that Trotwood police followed procedures in the pursuit.

“Our preliminary investigation shows that the officers acted appropriately and according to the pursuit procedures,” Porter said last week. “We’re still investigating that, and that’s a separate investigation that’s going on now at this time also.”

Ector was walking on a sidewalk when he was struck by a black sedan that was occupied by two males, both in their 20s. The sedan swerved across Shiloh Springs Road and snapped a telephone pole before landing in a ditch near Lowe’s.

Both males were taken to a local hospital and later released. One was treated for minor injuries and the other had a broken leg and lacerations.

One of the suspects was held in the Montgomery County jail on an old unrelated drug possession charge, according to Porter.

Representatives of the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office met on Friday with law enforcement involved with the investigation, according to Greg Flannagan, spokesman for the county prosecutor’s office.

The sheriff’s office, OSP and Trotwood police are investigating the incident that resulted in Ector’s death, Flannagan said. “These agencies are continuing their investigations. After the investigations are completed, the findings may be presented to the Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possible felony charges,” Flannagan said.

The chase started in Harrison Twp. just after 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24, when Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop one of the suspects for questioning in connection to a drug investigation, Porter said, adding there was no arrest warrant. The man got into the car and reportedly rammed two cruisers before speeding toward Trotwood.

Speeds during the chase reached 100 miles per hour along eastbound Shiloh Springs Road, Porter said.

Trotwood police and the state patrol executed a search warrant for the black sedan and seized an unknown amount of marijuana and two semi-automatic handguns.

Last week, Ector’s uncle, Harry Ector, said his nephew was just walking to work at Trotwood’s Office Depot when the accident happened. A manager at Office Depot said he was not allowed to comment.

“This just shouldn’t have happened,” Harry Ector said. “He probably had his earbuds in and couldn’t hear the high-speed chase and everything.”

Ector, known to family and friends as AJ, is the fifth person in the Dayton-area to die since 2011 because of high-speed pursuits.

Business Owner Kills Ohio Teen!

Isiah Haggins, Jr. was gunned down after a botched robbery.

There's a story building national attention over in the rust belt city of Dayton, Ohio. My community has experienced the homicide rate of 14 so far this year. It's a growing trend for a city that is declining in population and the lack of resources causes people to commit crime.

Yesterday, two teenagers tried to rob a clerk at a local hip-hop clothing store. Apparently they thought this would be an easy grab. They thought wrong and one of those teens paid the price. One teen was gunned down after the clerk (who turned out to be the owner) put a slug in him.

The other teen is on the loose and probably on the verge of giving up knowing that his friend is dead. Of course the family of the deceased will immediately single him out for responsibility.

The state of Ohio has the castle doctrine. That means that if you're a homeowner or business owner, you can use deadly force with a firearm if the perpetrator has threaten your life or property.
Teens tried to rob owner of his properties. The owner puts a slug in one of them.
The teen is 16-year old Isiah Haggins, Jr. and he's from the ghost town of Trotwood.

He and the other guy went into the Step-N-Style at the Northwest Plaza to rob the owner and shoppers.

The owner who has previously been robbed of his properties decided to get a firearm. He felt that being in an isolated shopping center with limited security prompted him to be gun owner. The teens enter the store with masks over their faces demanding the money. They didn't see the owner was trigger-ready.

They get into a confrontation and the gun goes off and Haggins drops. He would die later at the scene.

The accomplice would be shocked to see his friend drop exits the store.

The owner who's name wasn't released will probably not face charges. If the junk food media releases his name, the possibility of death threats and retaliation could follow.

The other guy will likely be charged with the teen's murder. Even though the other guy didn't fire a gun, his actions promoted a deadly confrontation. Murder and the aggregated assault charge will likely stand.

The Dayton Police and Montgomery County sheriff are investigating this incident.

Okay, I checked out the profile of the deceased teen. I seen that he's was invested in a hip-hop career and has a whole lot of friends online.
The negative outweighs the good.
The profile shows a lot of things that gives a background to how the teen maintains himself in the general public. The pictures itself are catnip for the racist right to paint "US BLACK FOLK" as dangerous criminals.

The Dayton Daily News reports that Haggins family demands answers to why the business owner did such a thing to their child.

Haggins grandmother, Kay Haggins, said today that the family just wants wants answers.

"We just want answers ... want to know what happened. where he was shot." she said. "Was it self-defense? Because it's their word and he's not here to speak for himself. We are just going by what he said. I just want to know how my grandchild died."

The owner's 911 call was released through the junk food media.

"Somebody just tried to rob my store and I killed one of them," a caller told a 911 dispatcher. "I shot him. He had a gun."

The police conducted an interview with the owner and another customer. They said that both teens were in the store to rob and the reaction to use deadly force was justified.

Police plan to review surveillance videos from the store and from other cameras in the shopping center as part of their investigation.

The Dayton Daily News also added that several unidentified people who arrived at the scene cried and hugged after police allowed them to identify the body. Officers did not say if they were the victim's relatives.

Likely they were. After all someone tipped them off to the death of the teen.

The armed robberies in recent years have forced store owners and employees to install security cameras and carry guns, police said.
