The Senate rejects witnesses and evidence in the impeachment trial of Donald J. Trump.
The impeachment of Donald J. Trump will wrap up in the coming days. The U.S. Senate took an unprecedented move to not bring witnesses and evidence to the impeachment trial of the 45th President of the United States.
This is an embarrassment.
Shortly before the Senate reconvened, Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) released a statement saying that she would be voting "no" on hearing new evidence, making it all but certain that a vote on more witnesses and documents would fail. The only two Republican senators who are expected to vote "yes" are Mitt Romney (UT) and Susan Collins (ME).
Democrats have been pushing to call former national security adviser John Bolton and other officials who declined to participate in the House proceedings that led to Trump's impeachment. But most GOP senators, led by Senate Majority Leader (Addison) Mitchell McConnell (R-KY), have rallied to the president’s defense and said he should not be removed from office.
Trump faces charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The crux of the case for his impeachment is the allegation that he withheld military aid and a White House meeting to pressure Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden and his son. Hunter Biden served on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, while his father was vice president.

The Republican Party just concluded that Trump can get away with anything.
So don't be surprise if a Democratic president allows executive orders on issues that Republicans oppose and conduct unlawful orders. So if you hear a Fox News agitator or Republican call for impeachment they better not look at the Democrats.

Trump will become the third U.S. president to be impeached while in office. He will not be removed from office though.

Sen. (Addison) Mitchell McConnell (R-KY), the Grim Ripper of the U.S. Senate is signalling that the party is united and they're likely going to vote against hearing witnesses under oath.
That means this could be considered a "sham trial" and it will open the door for Trump and future presidents to ask for foreign assistance to look into opponents.
John Bolton, the former NSA chief has a bombshell allegation against Trump. The Republicans have all but denounced Bolton as a guy trying to make a buck off a book.
He made allegations that former New York City mayor and personal attorney to Trump, Rudy Giuliani was slated to meet with Volodymyr Zelinsky under order. The New York Times broke the news that Bolton believed Trump was up to something when he wanted Giuliani to get involved in foreign affairs. Bolton was let go soon after.
Republican National Committee's chief Ronna Romney McDaniel, Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), Pam Bondi, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump, Jr., Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida all have some ties to Lev Parnas.
Parnas is a big time Republican donor who met Trump numerous times. Trump claims he doesn't know the guy. But Parnas' lawyers have released images of him, Vice President Mike Pence and others posing with him and Igor Furman.
Furman says that Giuliani, Sean "Softball" Hannity, Joe DiGenova, Victoria Toensing and John "Deep State" Solomon conspired with him to get damaging information on Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
Parnas has cooperated with the U.S. Justice Department and has released information to the House Intelligence Committee. Some of Parnas' information has gotten Nunes, Softball Hannity and Deep State Solomon nervous.
Many Republicans want this over with.
They want to watch the Superbowl.
Trump wants it over with. He wants to take a victory lap. He will play a little bit of softball with that shithead, Sean "Softball" Hannity on Sunday..
He will do his State of the Union Address on Tuesday.
The Senate is slated to vote on whether they're going to remove Trump from office. It's uncertain on when they're going to make the decision but all points to Wednesday.

Former lawmaker John Delaney drops out the race for president.
The first official candidate to declare his intentions to run for president has became the latest one to drop out the race. Former Maryland congressman John Delaney has announced he is suspending his presidential campaign citing financial constraints.
He drops out the race days before the Iowa Caucuses.
"It has been a privilege to campaign for the Democratic nomination for President, but it is clear that God has a different purpose for me at this moment in time, Delaney said in a statement. "I leave this race with a profound sense of gratitude to the voters who shared with me their hopes and concerns for our magnificent country, in admiration for the other contenders for the nomination and proud of the work we did to change the debate."
Delaney said the decision was "informed by internal analyses indicating John's support is not sufficient to meet the 15% viability in a material number of caucus precincts, but sufficient enough to cause other moderate candidates to not make the viability threshold, especially in rural areas where John has campaigned harder than anyone."
Delaney launched his presidential bid in July 2017, campaigning in Iowa ever since. He visited every county in the state. He was ranked among Democratic candidates running at either 0 or 0.3% in polls.
He hasn't appeared on any debate stage since July 2019.
He issued a warning to the remaining candidates running. He said don't underestimate Donald J. Trump and the Republicans.
He believes like many insiders that Trump is likely to win. Given that the U.S. Senate is trying to quickly quash the impeachment trial and Trump is trying to milk off the acquittal, Democrats need to stop destroying one another and work together to build the coalition that won 2008 and 2012.
Delaney said he will endorse the eventual nominee. He wants a candidate that "strongly believes the Democratic Party should advance candidates with progressive values on the big issues of our time, but who are committed to governing with pragmatic, fact-based, bipartisan solutions."
Ohio boy's death sparks discussion about how state agencies operate when it comes to the welfare of children.
The abuse of a 10-year old boy in Dayton, Ohio has the nation talking. The tragic death of Takoda Collins at the hands of his father is terrible. The junk food media here was talking about his death and how the Montgomery County Jobs and Family Services failed at checking on the welfare of the boy.
The Dayton Public Schools had warned the agency that the boy wasn't acting like a normal child.
They were required by law to report any suspicion of child abuse to the local authorities and protective services.
The father was a predator and abusive towards him. His mother who lives in Wisconsin was very concerned that the system failed at placing Takoda with family members outside of him.
He and his live-in girlfriend along with her friend are facing murder charges for the death of Takoda.
Montgomery County prosecutor Matt Heck, Jr. wants to see these individuals get LIFE in the iron college if they're convicted of child endangerment, torture, kidnapping and possible sexual abuse.
The Dayton Police started looking into the death of Takoda back in 2019. They were called to the home on reports of Takado being unresponsive.
The predator, his girlfriend and her sister all face murder charges for the extreme abuse of Takoda Collins.
"Takoda was observed to have multiple cuts and bruises all over his body," the court document says. "
"Takoda was removed to Dayton Children's Hospital and was pronounced (dead). Upon exams of (the boy's body), it was observed that he had bruising to the head."
Through interviews with the predator and two women who lived at the house, the affidavit says, law enforcement learned there was "extreme abuse for an extended amount of time inflicted by (the father)."
"Takoda was locked in the attic naked with no access to the outside or other people for an extended amount of time," the affidavit says.
The 10-year old boy reportedly ate his own feces and was forced to drink a large amount of water and possibly held underwater prior to him dying, the affidavit says.
Tokoda's mother had run-ins also.
The affidavit says the women knew of the matter. They were subjected to beatings and abuse by the predator.
Heck says the women were half-sisters and they lived in the property.
Attempts to reach other family members of Takoda was unsuccessful. The house was a 1-story with a bump-out attic with south facing windows. The attic window facing the street is covered with plywood.
The school district superintendent says Takoda was taken out of school some time last year.
"He was home schooled," said Elizabeth Lolli. School officials didn't have contact with him.
Robin Collins, Takoda's mother condemned the child protective services. She said that she begged Ohio and Wisconsin courts to get her son out of that home.
"I called and did welfare checks on him," Collins said. "I called the cops down there, and just this past summer I was trying to get custody back again, and nobody did anything about it."
She lives in Madison, Wisconsin and she tried to get Dane County Circuit courts to do an emergency hearing to see if she could regain custody of her son.
She believed that predator was abusing her son since he took custody.
"Robin continues to call in well checks. Takoda is being taken care of and still has behavioral issues. [The father] appears to be taken care of his needs with no concerns," a dispatch log from last year said.
The mother had run-ins with the law as well. She was already spending time in the county lockup for abuse to Takoda. Collins admits that she was in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend and the child was injured. She left her boyfriend and moved on. But due to the child abuse charges, she lost custody of her son. She had run-ins with the law from drug abuse and theft.
She is living in Wisconsin with her daughter.
Collins and this predator both had history with legal matters. However, the predator abused his son to the point of death. He had no concerns for the well-being of a child with special needs.

No one is perfect. Being a parent is a life-long struggle where folks have to deal with the trials and tribulations of raising a child.
I am suffering through that everyday. I have a three-year old son. I am a "surprise dad."
Something I don't take pride in. I am happy being a father but I hate the circumstances that led to this.
The mother of my son was terrible for not telling me that I had a child. I didn't know I had a child for over six months. I missed out the joys of being a first time parent. That will live with me for the rest of my life.
However, I dust myself off and keep it moving. There's no reason for not to be happy. I enjoy being a parent. Hopefully I will be a parent again when I find the right woman to be with. Never again will I just dive into a relationship. I will take my time before I seek love and companionship.
Those involved could face LIFE in the iron college if convicted.
The suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Parnas and his partner Igor Furman were helping Giuliani dig dirt on Biden. They got help from Victoria Toensing and Joe DiGionava. They hired John "Deep State" Solomon as their pointman.
Solomon would concoct stories about Ukraine being involved in the hacking of the Democratic Party and John Podesta's email. He was deeply tied to the bogus Uranium One conspiracy and the Hunter Biden Burisma nonsense.
"Pervert" Murdoch's company Fox News promoted these conspiracies. Fox & Friends, Lou "Poo" Dobbs, Sucker Tucker and Sean "Softball" Hannity have promoted the crap since Biden announced his intentions.
Trump pressure Volodymyr Zelinsky to launch an investigation into the Bidens. He said if he didn't the U.S. wouldn't provide military funds to Ukraine.

Pressley ia an American politician, activist and mother. She was born in Cincinnati but move to Chicago when she was seven. She was raised by her mother who struggled through hardships while her father was incarcerated. She attended Boston University and quickly got involved in politics and activism. She would work for Joseph P. Kennedy III. She would become a political director later for John Kerry.
She was elected to Boston City Council in 2019 and served on the council until she decided to run for the U.S. House of Representatives. She shook political ground when she defeated long term congressman Mike Capuano. The Democratic primary rang similar to Ocasio-Cortez's victory.
She said that Capuano, a moderate Democrat represented an area that is majority Black and doesn't have the representation in regards to rampant racism in Boston and police brutality. Pressley vowed to play nice to the status quo. She is the first African American woman elected to represent Massachusetts in Congress. Fellow Congresswoman, Jahana Hayes, former Teacher of the Year in 2015 represents Connecticut's 5th district. They are the first women of color to represent New England.
She has defended her colleagues and took a stand against systemic racism towards women of color.
While Ocasio-Cortez, Omar and Tlaib endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in his presidential bid, Pressley endorsed Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) for her presidential bid. Pressley supports Sanders' progressive policies.
Ciara and Russell Wilson are expecting another child together.
Pop singer Ciara Wilson is expecting baby number three. The pop star is married to Russell Wilson, famed NFL quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks.
Ciara has a daughter Sienna Princes from Wilson and a son from rapper Future. Disclaimer, Future has seven (possibly nine) children. One of those children is from my second cousin.

Wilson, a devout Christian vowed to celibacy until marriage. He brought Ciara back to his mother's home and to her church.
He took the role of being a father early.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) is critical of Israel's policies.
The Michigan Democratic congresswoman and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) became the first two Muslim women elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. They are outspoken critics of Israel.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) has been a woman of color who speaks the honest truth about the apartheid and war crimes being done by Israel. The United States and Israel use propaganda to justify criminal acts being done by the state.
The two lawmakers are actively urging members of their party to look at the "big picture." If you're supposed to be the voice of people of color, why are we willing to stay silent on issues that face everyone who "technically" support the Democratic Party?
She said the Democratic Party loves to use women of color as props. She and Omar have criticized Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for bowing to pressure campaigns by pro-Israeli lawmakers. Pelosi had personally talked to Tlaib and Omar about attacks on Israel.
The daughter of Palestinian parents, the Democratic lawmaker has been very critical of the United States cozy relationship with Israel.
She and Omar have wanted to travel to the Gaza Strip and West Bank last year on a fact finding mission being sponsored by the Jewish Voice for Peace. Trump urged the Israeli government to deny them entry.
Omar was widely condemned for remarks criticizing the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee.
They claimed that she was making an "anti-Semitic" trope about Jews and money. That was far from the truth.
Omar said that lawmakers were willing to take donations from AIPAC while turning a blind eye to the humanitarian abuses caused by Israel.

It doesn't stop the Israeli military from using air strikes on communities in the Gaza Strip. It doesn't stop the systematic racism that exists with Israel. It doesn't recognize the "Right of Return."
