Mitch McConnell Tells Elizabeth Warren To Stop Talking About Coretta Scott King!

Nasty tension in the senate after Bitch McConnell told Elizabeth Warren to Shut Up!

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is the Majority Leader and he's a rotten piece of shit. He's by far the corrupt lawmaker in Washington, DC. His wife Elaine Chao is now the fuhrer's choice for Transportation Secretary.

McConnell is the face of the establishment. He's dirty. And it's unfortunate that the disrespect towards women and Black people is a part of his tradition of being the biggest asshole leading our Senate.

Senate Republicans voted to silence Elizabeth Warren after she read from a letter by the widow of Martin Luther King that criticized the civil rights record of Trump's nominee for attorney general, Jeff Sessions.

The marathon debate on the confirmation of Sen. Sessions, which stretched overnight and was ongoing Wednesday, came to a temporary halt Tuesday night when Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) objected to a speech that the Massachusetts Democrat was giving.

Warren quoted from a letter that Coretta Scott King wrote in opposition to Sessions, an Alabama Republican, during his attempted confirmation for a federal judgeship 30 years ago.

The letter said that Sessions, who was then U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Alabama, had used the "the awesome power of his office to chill the free exercise of the vote by black citizens in the district he now seeks to serve as a federal judge."

McConnell and other Republicans said Warren violated Senate rules. The rule, No. 19, says senators cannot "directly or indirectly, by any form of words impute to another Senator or to other Senators any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming a Senator."

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (R-NY) objected to the ruling, calling it "selective enforcement" and citing previous apparent violations by Republicans that went unpunished.

At times in the past, Schumer said in a statement released by his office, Republican senators have accused their colleagues of telling "a flat-out lie," of "stirring up global hysteria to score political points" and of engaging in "bitter, vulgar, incoherent ramblings."

That last one came from Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AK), who last may denounced Schumer's predecessor, former Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) for what he called "cancerous leadership" designed to "protect his own sad, sorry legacy."

But Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), insisted that Warren's actions had no place in the Senate.

"Even if what she said was true, it wasn't the right thing to do," Hatch said. "I've been appalled at the way Democrats have treated Jeff Sessions."

ACA Supporters Stand By The King!

Going backwards. Republicans continue to push for a full repeal of the Affordable Healthcare Act despite not having any reasonable replacement. In order to spite President Barack Obama, Republicans would obstruct his nominees and now his legacy.
Again, we're never find peace in the world if we're divided. Assured that we'll never have peace regardless of the holiday. Today is Martin Luther King, Jr, Day. It's a federal holiday that pays tribute to the African American pastor and civil rights leader who fought for change in the South.

He was assassinated in 1968 in Memphis.

Martin Luther King, Jr.'s dream of a colorblind society will never come to fruition because we have Donald J. Trump.

We have Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Fox News, Breitbart News, Matt Drudge, Sean "Softball" Hannity, Ann Coulter, Alex Jones, Tomi Lahren and many others devoted to keeping the country divided. They will live their lives in the cesspool of bigotry and white extremism.

We have the first African American president leaving in four days. He will continue his fight for change and I hope he becomes a harsh critic of the fuhrer.

Barack Obama made Black America more aware. He may have inspired some or left some out in the cold. Regardless, Obama made a difference in my life and I will use him as an inspiration to my growth and success.

He couldn't get the things he wanted done because of a constant obstruction from Republicans.

Now Democrats vow to obstruct Trump and Republicans regardless of what happens.

This weekend was full of protest. A nonviolent protest against the Republicans and their continued effort to repeal the law despite it helping Americans.

The Fuhrer Tangles With John Lewis!

Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) will take the knee. He and the fuhrer are tangling with one another.

Many Democratic politicians are skipping the fuhrer's inaugural. Some are citing their frustrations with the fuhrer's decision to go after Rep. John Lewis (D-GA).

Lewis, a former civil rights activist was critical of fuhrer Donald J. Trump. He said that Trump isn't a legitimate president and it merited a response from the fuhrer on social media.

Trump took to social media to say that Lewis is all talk and no action.

Lewis took a rock to the head. Lewis felt a dog's teeth through his crotch. Lewis was arrested for peaceful resistance in 1960s and most recently 2016.

While some questioned  Lewis’s assertion, many others expressed indignation about Trump's outburst, pointing out the unseemliness of attacking a civil rights leader on the eve of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Lewis was one of the original Freedom Riders, beaten by police officers while marching from Selma to Montgomery in Alabama.
Omarosa and Darrell Scott attacks Black leaders.
Trump's feud with Lewis carried echoes of his attacks on Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the Pakistani-American parents of an American soldier killed in Iraq, after Khan spoke out against Trump at the Democratic National Convention. Those attacks were widely viewed to have backfired, and Trump later modulated his words about the Khans.

Trump himself has experience questioning a president's legitimacy. He was instrumental in sowing doubts about President Barack Obama's birthplace.

Lewis, who is 76 and was first elected to Congress in 1987, is one of the few genuinely historic figures on Capitol Hill, revered by Democrats and Republicans alike. Allies of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), and Trump's nominee for attorney general, circulated pictures of him linking arms with Lewis at the 50th anniversary of the Selma march to fend off accusations that Sessions was a racist.

Nevertheless, Lewis testified against Sessions, declaring, "We need someone as attorney general who's going to look out for all of us, and not just some of us."

The Montgomery Bus Incident 60 Years Later!

Rosa Parks got on a local Montgomery Bus after a tired day. She was told to move to the back of the bus for an older white guy. She refused. The bus driver called the law. Rosa was fingerprinted, photographed and booked in the local lockup.

This sparked a movement.

The Montgomery Bus Boycott, a seminal event in the U.S. Civil Rights Movement, was a political and social protest campaign against the policy of racial segregation on the public transit system of Montgomery, Alabama. The campaign lasted from December 1, 1955—when Rosa Parks, an African American woman, was arrested for refusing to surrender her seat to a white person—to December 20, 1956, when a federal ruling, Browder v. Gayle, took effect, and led to a United States Supreme Court decision that declared the Alabama and Montgomery laws requiring segregated buses to be unconstitutional.

Many important figures in the Civil Rights Movement took part in the boycott, including Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. and Ralph Abernathy.

Rosa was known as the mother of the modern civil rights movement.

Her act of civil disobedience became a historical feat. Her impact helped the United States become a little bit better.

Amelia Boynton Robinson Passed Away!

Amelia Boynton Robinson passed away.

With great sadness we've heard that Amelia Boynton Robinson passed away at the age of 104.

Amelia fought for Civil Rights during the turbulent times of the 1960s. She was a key figure of the Selma to Montgomery march. She and John Lewis suffered a beat down by the White bigots who tried to silence their peaceful march.

Amelia Boynton Robinson was an American activist who was a leader of the American Civil Rights Movement.

Amelia was among those beaten during the voting rights march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, in March 1965 that became known as "Bloody Sunday." State troopers teargased and clubbed the marchers as they tried to cross the bridge. A newspaper photo showing Boynton Robinson, who had been beaten unconscious, drew wide attention to the movement.

Fifty years later, Barack Obama, the first black president of the United States, pushed her across the span in a wheelchair during a commemoration.

Amelia who was hospitalized in July after having a major stroke, turned 104 on Aug. 18. Her son said she had been living in Tuskegee and was hospitalized in Montgomery. Boynton Robinson's family said in a written statement that she was surrounded by relatives and friends when she died around 2:20 a.m.
Selma this year. President Barack Obama holds hands with Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) and Amelia Boynton Robinson.
In January, Boynton Robinson attended the State of the Union address as a special guest of Democratic Alabama Rep. Terri Sewell, who said Boynton's 1964 run for Congress paved the way for her. Sewell is Alabama's first elected black congresswoman. Boynton was the first woman to run on a Democratic ticket in Alabama and the first black woman to run for Congress in the state, according to the Encyclopedia of Alabama.

"Mrs. Boynton Robinson suffered grave injustices on the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma at the hands of state troopers on Bloody Sunday, yet she refused to be intimidated," Sewell said in January. "She marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, my colleague Rep. John Lewis and thousands of others from Selma to Montgomery and ultimately witnessed the day when their work led to the passage of the historic Voting Rights Act of 1965."

World News Today send our condolences to the family of Amelia Boynton Robinson. You are a hero to the movement for change. You fought for me to be here.

Julian Bond Passed Away!

Civil rights icon Julian Bond passed away.

The famed Julian Bond passed away over the weekend. World News Today send our condolences to the family of a great icon in civil rights.

Julian was a social activist and leader in the Civil Rights Movement, politician, professor, and writer. While a student at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, during the early 1960s, he helped to establish the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC).

Bond was elected to four terms in the Georgia House of Representatives and later to six terms in the Georgia Senate, having served a combined twenty years in both legislative chambers. From 1998 to 2010, he was chairman of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the first president of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Bond died in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, after a brief illness, according to The Associated Press.

“Julian Bond was a hero and, I’m privileged to say, a friend. Justice and equality was the mission that spanned his life,” President Barack Obama said in a statement Sunday. “Julian Bond helped change this country for the better. And what better way to be remembered than that.”
I'm privileged to say, Julian was a friend for justice and equality.
Bond was a Nashville, Tennessee, native who attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. While in school, he co-founded the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee -- an organization that fought for and encouraged youth members to be vocal in the civil rights revolution.  He led SNCC as the communications director, stood on the front lines of protests alongside several other civil rights pioneers like Martin Luther King Jr. and John Lewis, and became a leader in the 1960s protest movement.

Bond later served as board chairman of the 500,000-member NAACP for 10 years, but declined to run for another one-year term in 2010, the AP reported.

Bond would often appear as a commentator on news shows and became a leading voice in the media, featured on NBC's "Today" show, and in The Nation and The New York Times.

He was also a professor of history at the University of Virginia and an adjunct professor at American University, the AP reported.

Many other celebrated civil and human rights activists mourned Bond's death Sunday.

"Very few throughout human history have embodied the ideals of honor, dignity, courage and friendship like Dr. Julian Bond," said Chad Griffin, president of the Human Rights Campaign. "Quite simply, this nation and this world are far better because of his life and commitment to justice and equality for all people. Future generations will look back on the life and legacy of Julian Bond and see a warrior of good who helped conquer hate in the name of love. I will greatly miss my friend and my hero, Dr. Julian Bond."

Bond is survived by his wife, Pamela Horowitz, and five children.

Uncle Tom's Cabin Historical Site!

I am sharing my experience of traveling in Canada.

I went to the town of Dresden, Ontario. It's about 76 miles from Detroit. I was traveling the Highway 401 towards London. I saw the sign that said Uncle Tom's Cabin Historic Site.

I couldn't help but go and visit this.

It's a part of Civil Rights History.

The Henson estate. Josiah Henson, a former slave, author, abolitionist, and minister, who, through his 1849 autobiography The Life of Josiah Henson, Formerly a Slave, Now an Inhabitant of Canada, as Narrated by Himself, was the inspiration for Harriet Beecher Stowe's title character in her novel Uncle Tom's Cabin.[

The 5-acre (20,000 m2) complex is part of the original 200 acres (0.81 km2) of land purchased in 1841 to establish the Dawn Settlement, a community for escaped slaves.

The original Henson cabin was located on a different location nearby and opened as a museum in the 1940s by an area farmer, William Chapple.

The house was moved to the existing location in 1964 by J.D. Thomson, and subsequently was owned and operated by Kent County, Ontario and then the St. Clair Parkway Commission. Uncle Tom's Cabin Historic Site has been owned by the Ontario Heritage Trust since 2005.

Henson Family Cemetery is located on the site. The original cabin was moved slightly for the museum and interactive centre.

I show some pictures and also posted my first YouTube video in five years.

Have you read the epic novel Uncle Tom's Cabin by American writer Harriett Beecher Stowe?

Have you visited the National Underground Railroad Museum in Cincinnati?

Have you read about Mother Moses?

GOP Leaders Skip Selma!

Today is the 50th Anniversary of the Bloody Sunday march in Selma.

The only Republican who is attending is former president George W. Bush. The elected Republicans House Weeper John Boehner (R-OH), Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA), Senate Majority Leader Mitch The Turtle (R-KY) and Pro Tempe Orin Hatch (R-UT) are skipping the event.

Even the insurgent Black Republican lawmakers Rep. Mia Love (R-UT), Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX) and  Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) refuse to attend.

They're too busy unzipping their pants and letting Benjamin Netanyahu plow his dick in their asses.

They probably planning an attack ad to claim that the president has more time to attend a rally that involves him apologizing for America rather than standing with leaders in France during the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack.

Top Republican leaders on Capitol Hill won't join the largest bipartisan congressional delegation ever in Selma, Alabama, this weekend to mark the 50th anniversary of the Bloody Sunday civil rights march.

President Barack Obama, along with his wife and daughters, will be in Selma on Saturday's anniversary, as will former President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush.

It's worth noting that not all top Democrats are planning to be in Selma either.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is going, according to her spokesman, and Minority Whip Steny Hoyer and Caucus Chair Xavier Becerra will also be there, said Rep. John Lewis, the Georgia Democrat who was a leader of the Bloody Sunday march and is heading up the congressional delegation. South Carolina Rep. Jim Clyburn, the No. 3 House Democrat, is also going.

But Sen Minority Leader Harry Reid is not going as he recovers from eye surgery, his office said. The second and third ranking Senate Democrats -- Dick Durbin of Illinois and Chuck Schumer of New York -- also won't attend, according to their spokesmen.

On Wednesday, Lewis told CNN 96 members were expected on the chartered flight to Selma and some 15 to 20 more were planning to meet up in Birmingham and Selma, calling it "the largest group ever."

At least two dozen Republicans were expected to be part of that group, according to a congressional staffer.

Asked if he was disappointed more Republicans weren't making the trip, Lewis said, "no, we continue to work and continue to build, we cannot become disappointed."

He said it "certainly" would be helpful to have leaders there to further the discussion on the Democrats' efforts to push for voting protections.

"We will not give up on anyone," Lewis said.

Top House leaders have gone to the annual event before. McCarthy traveled to Selma in 2012 when he was the No. 3 House Republican and then-Majority Leader Eric Cantor attended in 2013. Cantor, who had been a key Republican supporter of efforts to update the Voting Rights Act in the last Congress, lost his primary in 2014.

CNN reports that on the same day last month that the House voted to approve a congressional gold medal for Selma marchers, Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wisc.) and Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), both members of the House Judiciary Committee, introduced the Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2015, a bill aimed at updating and strengthening the law.

In 2013, the Supreme Court overturned a key provision of the Voting Rights Act that required certain states with a history of racial discrimination at the polls to "pre-clear" any changes to the law with the federal government before implementing them.

But there is no indication that House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) plans to take up the legislation to update the law. At a Christian Science Monitor breakfast in January, he said he believed the Voting Rights Act was sufficient as it stands.

"We have continued to study this issue, but to this point, we have not seen a process forward that is necessary to protect people, because we think the Voting Rights Act is providing substantial protection in this area right now," Goodlatte said.

Stewart noted that a delegation of Republican senators is planning to attend, led by Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina and including Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions and Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, who is a member of the leadership team in the Senate, serving as counselor to McConnell.

And as for Republican potential presidential hopefuls -- none of them will be in Selma either. Sen. Rand Paul's (R-Kent.) office said he will be in Kentucky. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) will be in Iowa participating in an agricultural summit and Sen. Marco Rubio's office did not respond to questions about where he would be this weekend, except to say that he was not traveling to Selma.

Boehner spokesman Michael Steel said that while the speaker will not be in Selma to mark Bloody Sunday, he was looking forward to granting those who marched to Montgomery Congress' highest civilian honor.

"Speaker Boehner was proud last month when the House passed legislation awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to the civil rights marchers in Selma 50 years ago, and will be proud to welcome them to a ceremony in the Capitol to bestow this honor," Steel said.

Both the House and Senate passed legislation in February to grant the awards.

Okay, when you hear those concern troll claim that it was the Democrats that were ones who turned the water cannons on American civil rights leaders, you kindly tell them, "Where are the Republicans now?"

The Democrats nominated and the American people elected the first Black president twice. So it's time to do the walk.....Republicans.

McCarthy and Scott had a change of heart. What about the Weeper and The Turtle?

The Bullet Has No Eyes!

Bradley Cooper plays Chris Kyle in the Clint Eastwood military drama American Sniper. The legacy of Chris Kyle is being criticized by some in the junk food media.

Chris Kyle was the former Navy seal who claimed that he may have killed over 200 people during his days as a sniper. He was on television, radio and the internet promoting his bestselling book, American Sniper: The Autobiography of The Most Lethal Sniper in American History.

It told a tale of his multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan being a professional hitman. He would often be called upon to take out suspected terrorists. He would overcome PTSD (post trumatic stress disorder) and the stress of being away from family. He would later rebound by creating a business and wrote a biography about his life.

He was killed in 2013 by a deranged gunman in Texas at a shooting range. He was training veterans how to operate firearms in the way of a professional sniper. The shooter had mental issues (PTSD) shot Kyle and another man to death before he would steal the Kyle's vehicle.

The law would capture the suspect after a brief chase. Kyle left behind a wife and two children.

Conservatives would often praise this man for his often exciting tales of bucking individuals in target kills. The Kyle experience is often brought up by the likes of that annoying conservative agitator.

On Monday, I listened to that annoying conservative agitator complain about actor/filmmaker Michael Moore hitting the social networks with a criticism of the Clinton Eastwood movie adaption to American Sniper.

Eastwood's movie is nominated for six Oscars. It beat out the Martin Luther King, Jr. biopic Selma.

Selma got nominated for an Oscar but snubbed for best director. It got nominated for best song by entertainers John Legend and Common.

Conservative agitators were mouthing off the Eastwood movie and it helped the movie beat out others.

That annoying conservative agitator was complaining about how "stupid" Michael Moore was and "he didn't care about what he said". But yet he led two segments about Moore on his right wing carnival and radio show. Again this is the reason why most in the media call him the worst cable news agitator.

He says that he's not bothered by critics of conservatives but yet devotes segments to it. And of course throws President Barack Obama into it regards of who the critic is. He's certainly entitled to do so, but like most people, we already know the obvious tactics of this annoying agitator.

The conservative outrage is over Michael Moore and Seth Rogen's criticism of the Clinton Eastwood movie inspired by the late Chris Kyle's book American Sniper.

They both went to the social networks saying that Kyle doesn't deserve praise for being a cold blooded killer. Although they didn't say it in bold face, they've often complained about the fantasy that is Chris Kyle.
Chris Kyle with wife Tanya. Tanya is grateful for those who seen the biopic. Tanya is the widow of Kyle.
Some complained that Kyle harbored bigoted views towards Iraqis, Blacks and Muslims. Others dismissed this as another attempt by the liberal Hollywood elites trying to debunk a movie.

The movie American Sniper features Bradley Cooper (as Kyle) and its up for an Oscar nomination. The movie took a surprising $100 million in ticket sales and it's being promoted by the agitators.

Failed Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has went on the offensive and took a strike at Moore and Rogen.

Gingrich says that "Michael Moore should spend a few weeks with ISIS and Boko Haram. Then he might appreciate American Sniper. I am proud of our defenders."

The freedom of speech cuts both ways. Each of these individuals are controversial. They profit off outrage. Moore, Gingrich, Kyle, Eastwood, and that annoying conservative agitator have been notable for saying things that are catnip to the junk food media. Each of them failed at something.

Eastwood was mocked for talking to an empty chair.

Kyle was killed by a gunman at close range. He was a professional sniper and yet he let his guard down. He was crazy for allowing a man with mental issues handle a firearm. He didn't think a simple training session would end his life.

Gingrich called Obama the food stamp president. He ran one of the worst presidential campaigns ever. He lost most of his staff. He would rebound for a brief moment and released the most hard hitting ad against perennial loser Mitt Romney. He's often criticized for being a cheater in his three marriages and ineffective House Speaker. He has no accomplishments since leaving office. His CNN show Crossfire was canceled in December.

Moore is a filmmaker who made Fahrenheit 9/11, a movie that depicted George W. Bush and his administration as a blood thirsty war machine. He would criticize the Bush administration for ignoring signs of a terrorist attack. He would direct Canadian Bacon a failed movie. He's a member of the NRA although he's criticized the organization for promoting lawlessness. He is now single after a bitter fight with his ex-wife Kathleen Glynn. He's often loved and hated among the political class.

That annoying conservative agitator is one of the worst cable host in history. Since 1996, he's been a fixture on Loserville. He's been often the unopposed voice on a debate show with Alan Colmes, a comedian turned liberal agitator. After Colmes left, he was given his own show. The show is a political right wing carnival of ignorance. He would often scream and yell at those who disagree with him. He blindly attacks or supports controversial figures. He was demoted a few years back for Megyn the Outrage Princess. He's on the verge of being pulled off the air for some of his antics.

NOTE: Why I mention annoying conservative agitator so much? I will no longer mention Sean Hannity by name. I will only refer to him as that annoying conservative agitator.

They Heard A Thud!

Interstate 75 at Hopple Street is shut down for an investigation. An overpass collapsed killing a construction worker and seriously injuring a truck driver. The talk of infrastructure will be part of the president's speech tonight.

A construction worker was killed and a truck driver was injured. The bridge that was being demolished over Interstate 75 in Cincinnati, Ohio collapsed. The Ohio Department of Transportation and Cincinnati police are investigating the incident.

About 350.000 people travel Interstate 75 through the Cincinnati area. The area is commonly congested through the northbound. The most common areas for delays on Interstate 75 is the area that surrounds Ohio State Route 126 (Ronald Reagan Highway), the Mitchell Avenue exit, the 12th Street Exit in Covington, Kentucky (the Cut in the Hill), and the Interstate 275 section in Erlanger, Kentucky near the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport.

The Cincinnati area is extremely congested. They are working on fixing this.

The Mill Creek Expressway is the official segment of the highway from the Ohio section of the Interstate 275 beltway to Ohio River.

The incident happened in an area that I am commonly familiar with. It's the Hopple Street/Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive exit. That exit is being constructed to improve the flow through the western tier and the University of Cincinnati.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is working on fixing Interstate 74 and Interstate 75 through the midtown. The elimination of left hand exits is underway. The highway is removing bridges and replacing ramps. They are extending the eight lane highway to ten lanes from the Ohio State Route 562 (Norwood Lateral) to Interstate 71.

This issue will be brought up in the president's State of The Union address. This is one of the very things that President Barack Obama's mentioned. He said that Congress has failed in passing an infrastructure bill. He's lost control of Congress to the Republicans. He signaled that he's going on the offensive. He's tired of trying to compromise with the Republicans. The insurgency is too extreme.

He will use his lame duck years battling the Republicans and force them towards concessions.

The president was in Cincinnati a few years back talking about the need to fix bridges. He mentioned the Brent Spence Bridge as one of the nation's most dangerous bridges. He said that bridge pulls nearly a million travelers and the day will come when the structurally ineffective Brent Spence Bridge could collapse.

Interstate 71 and 75 crosses that bridge. Ohio and Kentucky are trying to replace the bridge but it could cost billions of dollars. So the thought of establishing a toll is coming up in the conversation.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of the victim.

Can We Make A Difference?

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is an iconic Black civil rights leader.

Today, we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The country celebrates the life of the American civil rights leader who was slain in 1968. If he was alive today he would have been 86 years old.

Many Americans believe that the country has made a progressive change. Unfortunately the state of race relations have hit a new low.

Obviously, the Republican Party continues to be still inclusive. I mean they have a few non-White members who were elected to the House of Representatives and the Senate. But they're so ignorant, it's better being an all white party.

The Democratic Party nominated Barack Obama for president. The first Black president. The Democrats are such pussies, they can even embrace the fact they are historically first in overcoming their racist past.

We seen Obama's legacy being tested by the Republican Party and its staunch opposition towards him.

Last year, those in law enforcement and those in the Black community have seen a strain. The police involved killings of Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, John Crawford and numerous others tested the nerve of Black America. Not to mention the killing of two NYPD officers has also brought to attention the need to for better communications between law enforcement and the community.

Can we make a difference on King Day?

Biden's Home Got Hit By A Drive-By!

Shots were fired at Vice President Joe Biden's residential home in Delaware. The Vice President wasn't at home and the Secret Service and Delaware State Police are conducting an investigation into this.

Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden weren't at home. But in suburban Wilmington, Delaware, a gun shot hit the private home of the Vice President and the U.S. Secret Service is investigating the incident.

Biden and President Barack Obama were notified of the incident.

Biden brushed it off. He spoke at a woman's forum for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. service breakfast.

The incident comes into the national spotlight about the ineptness of some in the Secret Service.

Since the Colombia incident, the Secret Service has been through a major overhaul. The president fired the head and the Homeland Security will chop off the rest of the body. Some people were forced to resign.

It's a dangerous job to be a bodyguard for the President of the United States.

President Barack Obama, House Weeper John Boehner and Biden have all been the subject of death threats and penetration of security. Boehner had his former bartender threaten him.

Last year alone, Obama got over 560 death threats. Not all of them death threats made the news.

It's a felony to threaten federal workers (i.e, The President, Vice President, House Speaker, and their families). You can get up to ten years of federal time out if found guilty. You can not get parole on federal time out. It's served in full.

The president will deliver the State of The Union Address on Tuesday. The Republican response, the insurgent response and the other insurgent response will occur after this.

Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) will be the Republican response.

The Klan Flocks To Harrison Arkansas!

Harrison is a friendly town.

Americans Against The Tea Party (AATTP) is becoming my favorite website besides The Hinterland Post, Addicting Info and Raw Story for stuff involving the racist right.

They got this article on a city in Arkansas that's a majority White city. The KLAN is looking forward to adding new residents to the town. I wonder if Craig Cobb got the word.

The sign that greets visitors of Harrison.
Okay, Harrison, Arkansas is about 2 1/2 hours away from Little Rock. The city's racial makeup of the city was 96.2% White, 0.3% Black or African American, 0.6% American Indian and Alaska Native, 0.7% Asian, 0.0% Pacific Islander, and 1.6% from two or more races. 2.2% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There's little to no Black or African American residents in the city.

The racist right would love it.

Why don't Congressman Tom Cotton (R-AK) open two campaign offices there?

Hell get Senator Mark Pryor (D-AK) to march in their parades as their "Grand Pumba"?

Harrison is trying to disspell the notion of being the town that hates Blacks. They want to rid themselves of a resident and his followers.

Thomas Robb, national director of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, maintains his headquarters near Harrison in the outlying town of Zinc and uses a Harrison mailing address for the organization.
Thomas Robb, Knights Party leader and pastor
White extremist Thomas Robb lives outside of Harrison. He's determined to keep the town White and Right.
Combined with the history of the 1905 and 1909 banishment of African-Americans, this incidental connection to the KKK has given the town a negative image which it has taken active steps to combat in recent years.

In 2013, a billboard appeared above a local sign company on the eastern edge of Harrison that read: "Anti-Racist is a Code Word for Anti-White." In response, a local radio station removed its nearby billboard, and students from North Arkansas College passed out fliers calling for a protest of the sign.

An official statement read: "the mayor’s office considers the content inflammatory, distasteful and not in line with the truth on how Harrison is a city of welcoming and tolerant citizens."

Greedy Kings!

Dexter (right), Bernice (center) and Martin Luther King III (left) are feuding with one another over their father's memorable items. Some include his bible and Nobel Peace Prize. The three surviving members of the King Estate have distanced themselves from the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.

As you know that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s legacy is loved a cherished by millions here and abroad.

He was the pioneer of the American Civil Rights Movement. He fought for equal rights for all Americans.

The modern day conservatives truly believe that King was an inspiration for their loathing of President Barack Obama. They would tarnish his legacy by making outrageous claims about his life, his family and of course his beliefs.

For one thing, King was called a "COMMUNIST" by the racist right. Republicans weren't on board for passing a national holiday recognizing the slain civil rights leader.

For him winning a Nobel Peace Prize for his humanitarian work, conservatives would have slander him as a NIGGER who got all this attention for being a meddler. Conservatives believe that King didn't deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. The very same stuff conservatives done to President Barack Obama when he won the award in 2009.

At the age of thirty-five, Martin Luther King, Jr., was the youngest man to have received the Nobel Peace Prize. When notified of his selection, he announced that he would turn over the prize money of $54,123 to the furtherance of the civil rights movement.

Now let's fast forward to 2014,  50 years since the March on Washington, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Corretta Scott's children are squabbling over the royalties.

CNN reports the children of Martin Luther King Jr. are back at loggerheads -- this time over his Bible and Nobel Peace Prize.

The estate of the civil rights icon filed a complaint in Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta on Friday to force Bernice King, his daughter, to turn over the items.

King's heirs agreed in 1995 to give up their inheritance to the Estate of Martin Luther King Jr. Inc., the complaint reads.

Bernice King has "repeatedly acknowledged and conceded the validity" of the agreement, but has "secreted and sequestered" the items in question, it says.

Specifically, the estate -- which is controlled by Dexter King and Martin Luther King III -- wants his 1964
Nobel Peace Prize and his traveling Bible, which was used by President Barack Obama when he was sworn in for his second term.

Bernice King says her brothers just want the items to sell them.

"Our Father MUST be turning in his grave," she said in a Tuesday statement.

"While I love my brothers dearly, this latest decision by them is extremely troubling. Not only am I appalled and utterly ashamed, I am frankly disappointed that they would even entertain the thought of selling these precious items. It reveals a desperation beyond comprehension."

The complaint does not mention the possibility of a sale, and attempts to contact the King brothers, through the estate, Tuesday were unsuccessful.

This is not the first time the family has been at odds over King's legacy. Over the years, the siblings have sued and counter-sued one another.

Bernice King and Martin Luther King III sued Dexter King in 2008, accusing him of converting "substantial funds from the estate's financial account at Bank of America" for his own use. They later agreed to a settlement and avoided a public trial.

"My brothers' decision to sue me is drastic and grieves me greatly. I have absolutely no desire to be in court or to fight yet another public battle," Bernice King said in her statement Tuesday.

"Nevertheless, some actions are sacrilegious and some things are not for sale."

Tragedy In Atlanta!

One of the nation's busiest expressways was shutdown after major snowfall.

The southern playground is facing a snow emergency.

Atlanta, New Orleans, Birmingham, Montgomery, Charlotte, Columbia and Raleigh got a horrible taste of winter weather.

The migrants of the Midwest and Northeast wanted to escape to the South.

I guess they've brought their old ways down to the South.

Major snowfall happens to plague the South. And most Americans were caught off guard by it.

Georgia Republican governor Nathan Deal and Atlanta independent/Democratic mayor Kasim Reid taken heat for the lack of preparedness for this weather event.

Pictures of the major highway complex of Interstate 75/85 shows that the 12 lane expressway between Midtown and Downtown Atlanta a parking lot. It shows a bunch of cars parked in gridlock because the snow plows didn't come and the roads were extremely dangerous.

At least a number of people have died in the Polar Vortex event.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to those lost in this event/

Stress extreme caution during weather events.

Prolonged exposure to the elements will affect your skin. Make sure you are prepared by wearing warm gloves, a wool or knit cap, proper shoes and boots. Make sure you check your fluids and tires.

Tire pressure is essential when dealing on the roadways. If you are to have an emergency, make sure you have bottle water, some parishable food, a nice blanket. hand warmers and proper medicine.

Make note that in the first respond units and tow companies are overwhelmed during these events. You have to have patience whenever you're stranded. Some events could take up to 3 hours if you have a non-emergency accident.

Also heed snow emergencies warnings. If you're having either a level 1 or 2 event, it's noted that you're taking an extreme risk going on the roads. Level 1 means the roads are dangerous use extreme caution/

Level 2 means that roads are impassable you are to avoid travel if absolutely necessary.

Level 3 means that you are risking a citation if you're out on the roads when its noted that roads are extremely dangerous and emergency personal is required on the roads during the event.

Be safe on the roads during the remaining winter. Your life is more important.

Did The NRA's "Freed Negro" Forget That King Was Killed By A Bullet?

"Freed" Negro tries to say that MLK would be happy that our country has the most relaxed gun laws!

The NRA is the oldest gun lobbyist group out there. They're trying to gin up dollars for the possibility of Republicans taking back the U.S. Senate. They recruit a Black conservative YouTube star to promote their message of more guns and less regulation.

I understand that everyone believes the civil rights leader fought for the rights for all Americans. I mean he paid the price for all with a bullet in his head. But for some reason, people are using the civil rights leader's legacy in negative ways. Last time, there was a controversy over the MLK Twerk Fest.

Now it's about the "freed Negro" using King for a gun ad.

"Freed Negro" Colion Noir is the racist right's excuse for being "not racist". He make a long rant about how Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is this big supporter of gun rights.

Yeah, let's take a look into this one.

Hey buddy, we all agree that King was looking forward to having a gun. After all in the South, the racist right was hoping they could put a bullet in him. It's a shame they've gotten that opportunity on that early Memphis morning.

Most of "us Black folk" are often asked to give up our guns because according to your NRA buddies, we're the ones robbing and killing people. After all those so-called liberal mayors wants to keep guns off the streets. They look at those "Black groups" standing near a corner and they call it a "gang".

I mean don't Bikers carry guns?

Don't White extremists carry guns?

Don't you folks often have a man who has extreme views and mentioned around you that there's a possibility that he could just "take them all out"?

Yeah, freed Negro Mr. Colion Noir, you believe in the Second Amendment.

I do as well!

I also believe in reasonable gun control. I mean how many of these innocent young people died because of a firearm. We just had a shooting at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and one at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.

The Second Amendment protects the right of individual Americans to keep and bear arms regardless of service in a militia. The right is not unlimited and does not prohibit all regulation of either firearms or similar devices.

State and local governments are limited to the same extent as the federal government from infringing this right. The Second Amendment was adopted on December 15, 1791, as part of the first ten amendments comprising the Bill of Rights.

It's sealed in the Constitution. But since it applies to those who believe in the right to bare arms, I guess Blacks, Hispanics and Muslims aren't entitled to the benefits of being firearm owners. Of course, cops hate to see us with them.

Whenever I get pulled over by law enforcement, I often tell the officer I'm a concealed carry owner.

They call for a second or third officer to watch what I do. I must put my hands on the wheel whenever I get pulled over. At most times, even in the possibility of me causing some infraction on the state ordinances or laws, I still have to watch what I do whenever I get pulled over.

In my mind, I might get a bullet in me if I make a move.

Oftentimes, most police officers have to watch how they deal with people of color. At best, most police officers are expecting a confrontational Black person. That's why when there's a group of Blacks in a vehicle and there is some traffic infraction (i.e. loud music, tinted windows or failure to signal), the police officers' hands are on their holster.

Adam Winkler, a UCLA professor notes that, after King's house was bombed in 1956, the clergyman applied in Alabama for a concealed carry permit. Local police, loathe to grant such permits to African-Americans, deemed him “unsuitable” and denied his application. Consequently, King would end up leaving the firearms at home.

The lesson from this incident is not, as some NRA members have tried to suggest in recent years, that King should be remembered as a gun-toting Republican.

Yeah, they've considered him the Republican savior!

The racist right often would call him a troublemaker, an adulator, a phony preacher, and even the offensive NIGGER. Some on the racist right would rather not celebrate King day because who would award a "race-baiter" a national holiday.

Ronald Reagan was against the notion of the holiday in the beginning. He and many of this "Freed Negro's" friends are against the notion of giving a Black man a holiday.

Senators Jesse Helms and John Porter East (both North Carolina Republicans) led opposition to the bill and questioned whether King was important enough to receive such an honor. Helms criticized King's opposition to the Vietnam War and accused him of espousing "action-oriented Marxism".

Helms led a filibuster against the bill and on October 3, 1983, submitted a 300-page document to the Senate alleging that King had associations with communists. New York Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan declared the document a "packet of filth", threw it on the Senate floor and stomped on it.

President Ronald Reagan originally opposed the holiday, citing cost concerns. He later signed the measure, after it passed with a 338 to 90 margin in favor in the House of Representatives. Note Reagan vetoed against the holiday.

Sen. John McCain (Republican of Arizona) voted against the creation of the holiday to honor King, and later defended Arizona Republican Governor Evan Mecham's rescission of the state holiday in honor of King created by his Democratic predecessor. After his opposition grew increasingly untenable, McCain reversed his position, and encouraged his home state of Arizona to recognize the holiday despite opposition from Mecham.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, McCain was criticized for his initial opposition to the measure.

But yet, these Republicans claim King was one of their own.

The Stallmigos would have opposed it as well. Think about how Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) and Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) are against the holiday as well.

So Mr. Freed Negro, you're argument to say King would endorse more guns on the street is false.

Mr. Freed Negro, hey could you talk to Bobby Seale about firearms?

Black Republican Wants Obama To "Hang Out!"

Black Republican goes to the social networks to show his supporters how to lose an election.

Last night the internet was buzzing about that idiot former Alaskan governor taking to the social networks to attack President Barack Obama on King Day for being a "race-baiter". She urges him to stop "race-baiting".

But wait a minute, Mama Grizzly (aka Palin Da Ass) and her cubs are throwing them shots at the president.

The junk food media picks up on one of those so-called "freed" Black folks telling the president that he should be hanging by a rope. He claims that the president should be tried for treason.

So if the president would betray his country, a country that he swore to protect as the leader of the free world. A man who fought an onslaught of hatred and outright racist attacks from those who claim they're "patriots".

If they actually were patriots, they wouldn't say that our president should suffer harm from national or foreign threats. But since we live in a country where you're freedom of speech is assured. He can say whatever he wants but note that if evidence was determined he was to carry out that threat, he could get a visit from the United States Secret Service. The threatening of the president, vice president and their families is a CLASS THREE FELONY. It carries up to 5 years in the iron college or federal time out. You may pay up to $250,000 in penalties.

"Freed Negro" Joshua Black, who is running for the Florida state house send a few nasty shots at the president.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the "freed negro" for Florida House District 68 said President Barack Obama should be hanged for war crimes.
So the Tea Party isn't racist!
"I'm past impeachment," Joshua Black wrote on Twitter. "It's time to arrest and hang him high."

The tweet caught the attention of Chris Latvala, a Republican candidate for House District 67. Pretty much a Republican setting his own up.

Latvala broke the Ronald Reagan rule of not attacking your fellow Republican.

"You aren't seriously calling for the killing of Obama are you?" Latvala replied. "I know you are crazy but good heavens. U R an embarrassment."

Latvala added: "I make it my business when so called GOP candidates become an embarrassment to my beloved party."

Black, 31, of Pinellas Park moved to Florida in 2007 after practicing street evangelism in St. Louis and works as a taxi driver. According to his campaign website, Black entered politics in 2012 when he tried influencing the presidential primary.

The website says: "Republicans have a serious communication problem. Everything we say sounds like spears."

Hours after the tweet, Black defended his comment. Obama should be held responsible for ordering a drone strike that killed a U.S. citizen overseas, he said.

"He should be executed for treason," Black said. "I think the appropriate punishment is death. They killed Benedict Arnold. (Obama) shouldn't be allowed to kill Americans without a trial."

Mama Grizzly should have checked on one of her cubs.
The political newcomer said he doesn't fear U.S. Secret Service agents showing up on his doorstep. Many voters might agree with his position, he said, adding: "I guess they're going to call me a racist now."

After talking to a reporter, Black posted a lengthy message to supporters on Facebook.

"I make no apologies for saying that the President is not above the People. If ordinary Americans should be executed for treason, so should he."

Pinellas GOP Chairman Michael Guju said Black doesn't know the secret details of the drone strike. "It is impossible to accept this statement," Guju said. "This is wholly unacceptable and unduly provocative."

Black's opponent in the House race, Democratic state Rep. Dwight Dudley, said Black has the right to disagree with Obama's decisions. But he shouldn't call for Obama's hanging. "It's dangerous and unbecoming for someone who wants to lead to call for such violence and extremist action," he said. "Wow. I'm stunned."

Honoring The Freedom To Twerk!

Some real ignorant stuff!

Once again, us Black folk get outraged over some ignorant Blacks mocking slain civil rights leader.

Obviously the promoters didn't see the flyer as a problem. No right minded Black person wants to joke about a tragic event! But seriously, you got to let the freedom of speech ring. They have the right to be offensive. They have the right to mock Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

But as they do, they better prepare for the consequences.

This is an example of the dumb stuff you may associate with those in the hip-hop community.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Estate and many Black leaders are outraged over some hip-hop flyers photoshopping the civil rights leader to the body of entertainer/rapper The Game.

It's suppose to be the Mid-Michigan Teen Parties promotional event for radio promoter Dee Miller and Jasmine Harris. This controversy comes a week before we celebrate the national holiday.

Officially Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday is January 15th. He would have been 85 years old if he was alive today. But since its celebrated on the third Monday of January, many civil rights leaders and President Barack Obama will acknowledge his legacy. They will talk about how "US BLACK FOLK" came so far and we need to continue to make a difference in America.

I understand that for every march, to every celebration breakfast, and those days off from government work, I see that no one is understanding the legacy of the slain leader.

He fought for equal rights for African Americans. I mean it's funny that I didn't live in the 1950s and 1960s.

But my parents did. They understood the purpose of Dr. King. He died trying to bring peace and silent protest against an injustice here in America.

I've realized that the freedom of speech allows some people to make a mockery of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., but however the outrage meter is cranked up way too high when "US BLACK FOLK" want to promote our ignorance.

I mean how funny is it that if this wasn't shared around the internet, you wouldn't hear the likes of Rev. Perm and the greedy Kings.

Did you know that the three surviving children of Dr. Martin and Coretta Scott King are feuding with one another over money?

But need not worry, the event that was planned in Flint, Michigan was canceled. Due to the outcry by local residents, the promoters have decided to make this event a discussion on the legacy of Dr. King.

King's likeness and message have been misused to promote parties before, and a graphic designer took heat over his flyer for a Miami strip club in 2012. But this time, it drew the ire of Dr. Bernice King, daughter of the Civil Rights leader. She spoke out this week, telling Atlanta's local Fox affiliate the imagery for the Michigan party was "appalling."

"For me, as his daughter, it's like, 'wow,' I lost a father who sacrificed everything for them to live a much more dignified and respectful life, and for it to come to this makes me sad," King said.

According to WJRT-TV in Flint, "appalling" is the exact same word Vic McEwen, Social Network owner, used when he saw the flyers. He promptly voided his contract with the hosts and returned their deposit, which he could do because of a clause saying promotional materials with the venue's name are subject to his approval.

Instead, he's hosting a free community event Sunday afternoon to honor King, particularly to bring awareness of his legacy to the young people of Flint. According to MLive, local boxer Anthony Dirrell and former Michigan State University football player William Cooper will be attending to talk to teens and sign autographs.

“As an African-American man who owns a business, I have a lot of responsibility,” McEwen said, according to the New York Daily News. “This is about his legacy. Dr. King has done way too much for this country, or me, or anyone, to allow this to go on.”

The new event also happens to have a much more appropriate flyer.

On the Social Network's Facebook page, fan Terri Williams said she was glad they had chosen to cancel the party.

"Please know that I stand proudly and supportive behind your decision and hope that profit never supersedes respect for these party promoters," she said. "They can twerk if they choose to, but leave the deceased civil rights Nobel Peace Prize legacy to rest respectfully in peace."

12 Years A Slave Has Nine Oscar Nominations!

Again, Lee Daniels' The Butler was pushed to the sidelines. The critically acclaimed movie wasn't mentioned at the 86th Academy Awards. It was snubbed and placing the media mogul Oprah Winfrey at the sidelines.

The movie is a 2013 American historical fiction drama film directed by Lee Daniels and written by Danny Strong. Loosely based on the real life of Eugene Allen, the film stars Forest Whitaker as Cecil Gaines, an African-American who eyewitnesses notable events of the 20th century during his 34-year tenure serving as a White House butler.

It was the last film produced by Laura Ziskin, who died in 2011.

The conservatives are so thrilled that Oprah Winfrey, Jane Fonda and rapper/producer David Banner are snubbed by the Academy Awards.

That Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall linked Roger Friedman's Showbiz 411 for the story.

Shock: Oprah, Tom Hanks, Robert Redford were all shut out of this year’s Oscars.

The nine Best Picture nominees are American Hustle, Captain Phillips, Dallas Buyers Club, Gravity, Her, Nebraska, Philomena, 12 Years a Slave, and Wolf of Wall Street. Only nine, not 10, films received nominations.

Also snubbed: Emma Thompson and “Saving Mr. Banks” are totally out.

Biggest surprise: Of all Harvey Weinstein’s possible entries, “Philomena” turned out to be his dark horse winner. “August Osage County” pulled two acting noms. And The Weinstein Company has two documentary nomineees.

Completely stopped and I’m not surprised: Robert Redford and “All is Lost.” Sadly I knew this. Roadside Attractions should be called Roadkill. What a mess. Redford was the best actor of the year.

Big winners: Paramount, Warner Bros., Sony played the game beautifully. A big studio turnaround.

But however, 12 Years A Slave, Barkhad Abdi of Captain Phillips portraying Somali pirate Abduwali Muse, and the single Happy from Pharrell Williams are nominated for the Oscars.
Barkhad Abdi
The 86th Academy Awards is an upcoming event during which the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) will present its annual Academy Awards to honor the best films of 2013 in the United States. The ceremony is scheduled for March 2, 2014, at the Dolby Theatre in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles, California.

This will be a week later than normal so as not to interfere with the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

The ceremony is to be televised in the United States by ABC and will be hosted by comedienne Ellen DeGeneres for the second time. She previously hosted the 79th ceremony in 2007.
Pharrell Williams, famed producer/rapper/rocker is nominated for an Oscar.
On September 5, 2013, The Academy announced the three nominees that will be honored with an Academy Honorary Award: the actress Angela Lansbury, the actor and producer Steve Martin, and the costume designer Piero Tosi. Angelina Jolie will be honored with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for her charity work.

For the Academy Award for Best Picture, 289 films are eligible.

In an official press release, It was announced the 86th Academy Awards will honor big-screen real-life heroes, super heroes, popular heroes and animated heroes, both past and present, as well as the bold filmmakers who bring them to life.
