The nomination was controversial and it has broken the nation.
Overwhelming majority of Americans and women strongly disapprove of this decision to confirm the former Washington, DC appellate judge.
After a bombshell revelation of sexual assault from three women came forth, Republicans and Democrats battled over the allegations.
The first accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford claimed that in 1982, Kavanaugh and his friend tried to sexually assaulted her. She testified at the Senate under oath saying the allegations were true. Kavanaugh went under oath and immediately attacked the accuser, the Democrats and the Clintons. The testimony was a disgrace.
So in the final week of confirmation, the White House ordered a FBI probe that limited its scope. The accuser and two others weren't interviewed. It only talked to a few handpicked witnesses.
When the report came out, Republicans demanded the information was kept confidential and limited to a few pages. It was only seen for a few hours and both sides were told not to disclose the information.
By the end of the week, the Republicans managed to whip up 50 Republicans and the lone Democrat being Joe Manchin of West Virginia to confirm this nominee.
By 4pm, the Republicans achieved the goal of swinging the court for generations.
Donald J. Trump, an inept and incompetent leader managed to bring Republicans to the ballot box. Now Democrats got to be inspired to vote to send the Republican Party back to the minority.
