Wayans and Crawford had an on-air and off screen feud during the first and early second season of the hit drama. Sean William Scott, best known as Stiffler from the American Pie franchise joined the series this season.
The entertainer made the announcement on EURWeb, an African American news agitator Wednesday.
"I'm a 58-year old diabetic and I'm working 16 hours a day. I'm getting too [fucking] old for this."
Wayans said that he will fulfill his contractual obligations to the series by doing its 13 episode season.
Now Fox has now finalized a possible abrupt cancellation of the series.
Wayans, who was a key member of the Fox sketch comedy series In Living Color is a director, actor, comedian and motivation speaker. Wayans had shows that included My Wife & Kids and Damon.
He starred in movies like I'm Gonna Get You Sucka, Mo' Money, Major Payne, Bulletproof, Blankman, and Earth Girls are Easy.
He co-produced animated series Waynehead, a semi-biography about his life growing up in New York with a club foot.
Damon Wayans along with his brothers and sisters come from an extremely talented family. The family includes, Dwayne, Keenen Ivory, Kim, Elvira, Nadia, Diedre, Vonnie, Shawn and Marlon.
Damon has four children. Damon, Jr., Michael, Cara and Kyla are his children from his marriage to Lisa Thorner Wayans. His girlfriend Charity Duplechan been with the entertainer for 15 years.
