Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and his daughter Meghan. The View host is hinting the end is near for her dad.
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) is preparing for the end. The former 2008 Republican nominee was diagnosed with brain cancer and it's seems to be taking a toll on the maverick.
The news hasn't hit the fan yet but family members are hinting that the longtime Arizona senator is dying.
Conservative agitator and The View co-host Meghan McCain and her husband Ben Domenech hinted that the end is near for the former POW.
McCain, the senior senator of Arizona has often been a bipartisan type of lawmaker. There were times he would support Donald J. Trump when it comes to his support for ripping off the poor, taking away healthcare and keeping tax cuts permanent for the rich.
On immigration, McCain supported comprehensive immigration reform.
On using military force, McCain and best buddy Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) would beat that war drum. They believe they support military intervention in most conflicts.
McCain would be best known for plucking that goofball as his running mate. In 2008, McCain made the visit to Dayton, Ohio to announce his running mate.
He picked Sarah Palin, a fairly new governor from Alaska who proved to be the reasons to why Republicans are so stupid. Palin paved the way for that inept billionaire to become the leader of this shithole nation.
McCain would lose in a landslide to Barack Obama, a fairly new senator from Illinois. The deck was stacked against McCain. George W. Bush, his former opponent in 2000 and then president fucked up the economy and made life miserable for millions. Obama was a fresh face, the first Black candidate to win support from the Democratic Party. A guy who used the skills of a community organizer to rally new voters to the polls. A tactic that Republicans seized upon in 2016.
McCain faced challenges from far right nuts like J.D. Hayworth and Kelly Ward in his primary bids. He would successfully defeat them and went on to handily win another term as senator.
McCain has seven children. Three from ex-wife Carol. Three but one adopted from Cindy McCain.
John S. McCain IV, Bridgett McCain, Andrew McCain, Sidney McCain, Doug McCain, James McCain and Meghan McCain.
McCain despite his buffoonery as a lawmaker and presidential candidate was a hero among a lot of folks. He would often go against his party on many issues. He did respect his former rival Barack Obama.
He does not respect Donald J. Trump.
Trump mocked him saying he doesn't like those who serve getting captured.
Tom Brokaw under fire for allegations of misconduct.
The #MeToo Movement hits a veteran of the news media.
Former NBC and Fox News anchor says that veteran broadcaster Tom Brokaw sexually harassed her.
Linda Vester made the claim that the longtime NBC host and commentator said inappropriate things to her while she worked at the network.
Vester talks to Variety about the experience.
Brokaw responds back. It is 4:00 am on the first day of my new life as an accused predator in the universe of American journalism. I was ambushed and then perp walked across the pages of The Washington Post and Variety as an avatar of male misogyny, taken to the guillotine and stripped of any honor and achievement I had earned in more than a half century of journalism and citizenship.
I am angry, hurt and unmoored from what I thought would be the final passage of my life and career, a mix of written and broadcast journalism, philanthropy and participation in environmental and social causes that have always given extra meaning to my life.
Instead I am facing a long list of grievances from a former colleague who left NBC News angry that she had failed in her pursuit of stardom. She has unleashed a torrent of unsubstantiated criticism and attacks on me more than twenty years after I opened the door for her and a new job at Fox news.
Linda Vester was given the run of the Washington Post and Variety to vent her grievances, to complain that I tickled her without permission (you read that right), that I invaded her hotel room, accepted an invitation to her apartment under false pretenses and in general was given a free hand to try to destroy all that I have achieved with my family, my NBC career, my writing and my citizenship.
My family and friends are stunned and supportive. My NBC colleagues are bewildered that Vester, who had limited success at NBC News, a modest career at Fox and a reputation as a colleague who had trouble with the truth was suddenly the keeper of the flame of journalistic integrity.
Her big charge: that on two occasions more than 20 years ago I made inappropriate and uninvited appearances in her apartment and in a hotel room. As an eager beginner, Vester, like others in that category, was eager for advice and camaraderie with senior colleagues. She often sought me out for informal meetings, including the one she describes in her New York hotel room. I should not have gone but I emphatically did not verbally and physically attack her and suggest an affair in language right out of pulp fiction.
She was coy, not frightened, filled with office gossip including a recent rumor of an affair. As that discussion advanced she often reminded me she was a Catholic and that she was uncomfortable with my presence. So I left, 23 years later to be stunned by her melodramatic description of the meeting. A year or so later, as I passed through London after covering end of WWII ceremonies in Moscow, I saw her in the office. chatted and agreed to a drink later. (If NY was so traumatic, why a reunion?) She knew a bar but by that late hour it was closed so she suggested her nearby apartment (not, “Well, no where to go. See you tomorrow).
Again, her hospitality was straight forward with lots of pride in her reporting in the Congo and more questions about NY opportunities.
As I remember, she was at one end of a sofa, I was at the other. It was late and I had been up for 24 hours. As I got up to leave I may have leaned over for a perfunctory goodnight kiss but my memory is that it happened at the door – on the cheek. No clenching her neck. That move she so vividly describes is NOT WHO I AM. Not in high school, college or thereafter.
She came to NY and had mixed success on the overnight news. As I remember her try out on TODAY did not go well. Her contract was not renewed.
Here is a part of her story she somehow left out. I think I saw her in the hallways and asked how it was going. She was interested in cable start up and I said I didn’t think that was going anywhere. What about Fox, which was just building up? She was interested and followed me to my office where, while she listened in, I called Roger Ailes. He said, “send her over.”
She got the job. I never heard from her or saw her again. I was aware that she became a big fan of Ailes, often praising his considerable broadcasting instincts in public. But when he got in trouble on sexual matters, not a peep from this woman who now describes her self as the keeper of the flame for Me:Too.
I am not a perfect person. I’ve made mistakes, personally and professionally. But as I write this at dawn on the morning after a drive by shooting by Vester, the Washington Post and Variety, I am stunned by the free ride given a woman with a grudge against NBC News, no distinctive credentials or issue passions while at FOX.
Linda Vester.
As a private citizen who married a wealthy man she has been active in social causes but she came to Me:Too late, portraying herself as a den mother. In the intervening years since we met on those two occasions, she had no reason to worry I could affect her career.
Some of her relatives by marriage are very close friends. She couldn’t pick up the phone and say, “I’d like to talk. I have issues from those two meetings 20 years ago?” Instead she became a character assassin. Strip away all of the hyperbole and what has she achieved? What was her goal? Hard to believe it wasn’t much more Look At Me than Me:Too.
I deeply resent the pain and anger she inflicted on my wife, daughters and granddaughters – all women of considerable success and passion about women’s rights which they personify in their daily lives and professions. We’ll go on as a family that pursues social justice in medical emergency rooms, corporate offices, social therapy, African women’s empowerment and journalism. And no one woman’s assault can take that away.
I am proud of who I am as a husband, father, grandfather, journalist and citizen. Vester, the Washington Post and Variety cannot diminish that. But in this one woman piece of sensational claims they are trying.
Tom Brokaw
He said that Vester had a problem with the truth and the accusations against him were flat out lies.
Vester claimed that Brokaw tried to forcibly kiss her without her permission.
According to her, Brokaw twice tried to force a sexual relationship on her.
She eventually left NBC to join Fox News. As you know, Fox News is facing controversy for allowing sexual harassment to go unnoticed for years.
The White House Correspondent's Dinner 2018 begins tonight.
This event is held on the last Saturday in April. Every year, the junk food media, Broadway, Hollywood and Washington gather together to attend an annual ribbingof each other in the honor of a free press.
The WHCD hands out scholarships to those who want to inspire in the task of reporting the news and offers opportunities for young journalists to explore the gift of writing.
Donald J. Trump will not be in attendence again.
He decided to campaign in suburban Detroit to highlight his many accomplishments as leader of this shithole country.
Trump blasted the junk food media as being dishonest.
He also lauded at the junk food media for not promoting his accomplishments.
The Daily Show's Michelle Wolf will do her best to discuss the issues that happen to make the news.
On MSNBC, Joy Reid responds to the controversy sparked by her old blog The Reid Report. The progressive agitator facimg calls for a cannon firing after a blogger unearthed her old blog through the Internet Wayback Machine.
She targeted conservatives, former governor now lawmaker Charlie Crist and others in these posts.
The agitator denies writing those things. She claimed that she was a victim of a hacking campaign. However, she did take one good step to calming the controversy, she apologizes.
On AM Joy, she remarks.
Now as expected, the right wont let it go. The very same folks who've attacked people of color, the LGBTQ community and Muslims are now all of sudden supporters of their causes. They continue to be bigots.
The progressive agitator made it clear, she was deeply sorry about homophobic remarks she made against conservative agitators and lawmakers.
Reid also addressed the issue of how Black America managed to overcome the homophobia. Blacks are still more conservative on gay marriage.
Again, you notice that Reid apologizes for her past.
Sean "Spitball" Hannity hasn't apologized for his past. Matter of fact, he has doubled down on most of the shit he's gotten himself into.
The Guardian reports that the annoying comservative agitator is a landlord to mulitple properties and is comstantly jacking up rent. The spitball was named as a client to embattled attorney for Donald J. Trump, Michael Cohen.
Reid hammered the spitball for weeks.
Most believe its a retilation tactic from supporters of Sean "Spitball" Hannity, Laura Ingraham and Roger Stone.
Those three are facing a boycott.
Keep this in mind, people do change. If you are a progressive, you support progress.
Joy Reid is a staunch supporter of the LGBTQ community. Whatever the noise says won't keep her down. We need some Joy.
Does Donald J. Trump deserve credit for the brokered deal between two Koreas?
The two nations decided the time is now.
President Kim Jong Un and President Moon Jae In shakehands at the Korean Demilitarized Zome. This a huge mark in history. The Republic of Korea and the People's Democratic Republic of Korea call a truce.
Both nations vow to end nuclear weapons.
Many here claim Trump was instrumental in brokering a deal to end this.
After a furious year of missile launches and Nuclear testing, a historic meeting between North and South Korea is now taking place. Good things are happening, but only time will tell!
The United States for nearly 75 years has been agitating the peninsula. Trump was beating the war drum and banned American travel to North Korea,
Otto Warmbier was brutally assaulted in North Korea. Trump vowed to bring the country down.
Now the right wants a Nobel Peace Prize for him. Given he won't do anything about gun violence in the United States. He won't support press freedom. He is hypocritical when making decisions.
Remember this month he launched an attack on Syria to take out chemical weapons.
Navy rear admiral and White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson withdraws his nomination for Veterans Affairs Secretary after allegations of misconduct and ethics came up.
Trump fired David Shulkin out the cannon after allegations he spent too much on trips and the failure of streamlining veterans with quality service.
Shulkin said that he was fired out the cannon because he disagreed with privatizing the VA.
Many Democrats and even Republicans were questioning Jackson after reports of him acting a fool while under the booze.
He also was accused of giving Percocet to individuals and himself.
Jackson was known for giving Donald J. Trump his physical.
“It is called genetics ... Some people have just great genes. I told the president that if he had a healthier diet over the last 20 years, he might live to be 200 years old.” “I can reliably say, and I think that the folks in the mental health [field] would back me up on the fact that if he had some kind of mental, cognitive issue, that this test is sensitive enough, it would have picked up on it. He would not have got 30 out of 30 ... And my personal experience is that he has absolutely no cognitive or mental issues whatsoever.”
Jackson claims Trump has great health. Many believe the inept leader has early stages of dementia and is overweight.
Jackson's nomination went up in flames. Really sad that Trump doesn't ask his staffers to vet these people.
The disgraced CBS News and PBS host Charlie Rose is trying to do a documentary about how he ended up in the unemployment line thanks to the #MeToo Movement.
He will likely gather up disgraced individuals and do a follow up to how their lives were ruined by their actions.
Matt Lauer, Bill O'Reilly, Eric Bolling, Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Al Franken, Morgan Spurlock, Tavis Smiley, Mario Batali, Russell Simmons, Louis CK, Mark Halperin and Roy Moore are prime examples of how the #MeToo Movement took off.
Thanks to Donald J. Trump, his lawyer, his softball and his entire crew could go down in flames. You can thank Stormy Daniels and #MeToo.
Rose who was a fixture on CBS This Morning with Gayle King and Nora O'Donnell was fired out the cannon in November after reports from The Washington Post detailed his inappropriate behavior while working at PBS, his syndicated show and CBS.
How the mighty have fallen!
Women claimed that the 75 year old agitator would parade around them in the nude. He would forcefully kiss them. He groped two interns and had slept with a handful of them while his long time girlfriend was away.
The allegations got so hot, the network executives had no choice but to fire his ass out the cannon.
The Charlie Rose Show was cancelled and CBS fired him quickly.
John Dickerson took the position and would later resign from Face The Nation. He moved from Washington, DC to New York to fulfill his role as a morning host.
Margaret Brennan is now the permanent host of Face the Nation.
Should we even go there?
Charlie Rose needs to go back into the grave he's dug for himself.
Yeezy is about to release two albums this year. There will be a full length album and a collaboration album with Kid Cudi.
In the meantime, let's take a deep look into Kanye West's support for the inept leader Donald J. Trump.
The hip-hop community is talking about the Chicago rapper/producer's support for a leader who treats the nation like it's one big reality television show.
A man who has said some pretty foul shit about people of color.
Here's West on social media.
there's been a lot of fake news so I just wanted to give you the facts. Yeezy will become the biggest apparel company in human history by working with the most genius level talents and creating product at an affordable price. I hired the head of supply chain from the Gap.
Free thinkers don't fear retaliation for your thoughts. The traditional thinkers are only using thoughts and words but they are in a mental prison. You are free. You've already won. Feel energized. Move in love not fear. Be afraid of nothing.
You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.
If your friend jumps off the bridge you don't have to do the same. Ye being Ye is a fight for you to be you. For people In my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don't tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary I love Hillary too.
I love when people have their own ideas. You don't have to be allowed anymore. Just be. Love who you want to love. That's free thought. I'm not even political. I'm not a democrat or a republican
And also I'm all the way out the sunken place. And I'm not scared anymore. I'm not scared of the media. I'm not scared of the past and I'm optimistic about the future. This tweet is in love not fear.
my wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don't agree with everything Trump does. I don't agree 100% with anyone but myself.
whenever someone mentions the word "fan" to me it's super manipulative. It's like "don't do or say this because of your fans" My fans are fans of themselves.
To the media trying to demonize my husband let me just say this... your commentary on Kanye being erratic & his tweets being disturbing is actually scary. So quick to label him as having mental health issues for just being himself when he has always been expressive is not fair
Yesterday it was announced that Kanye had parted ways with some business people and media outlets made this about Kanye’s mental health. Rather than just a simple business decision. So I’m glad he tweeted about the state of his company and all of the exciting things happening
He’s a free thinker, is that not allowed in America? Because some of his ideas differ from yours you have to throw in the mental health card? That’s just not fair. He’s actually out of the sunken place when he’s being himself which is very expressive
Now when he spoke out about Trump... Most people (including myself) have very different feelings & opinions about this. But this is HIS opinion. I believe in people being able to have their own opinions, even if really different from mine He never said he agrees with his politics
Kanye will never run in the race of popular opinion and we know that and that’s why I love him and respect him and in a few years when someone else says the same exact thing but they aren’t labeled the way he is and you will all praise them! Kanye is years ahead of his time
Kim Kardashian West comes out swinging against those who attacked her husband. The celebrity agitator said that while they don't discuss politics, she said that her husband is free to speak his mind. She doesn't want the junk food media to claim that every time he's on a rant, it's mental illness.
Just in case you get upset at the rapper look at the pictures below and then tell me is it worth your time?
Yeah, you can blame Barack Obama all you want. At the end of the day, Obama's policies will be remembered for the success. Not Trump nor the rich bastards he was willing to protect with that tax cut.
Kanye West and Kim K are the rich ones aren't they?
Five Black women playing golf were harassed by the law. The owner called the law on them after he accused of them of playing slow. One of the women is a local NAACP leader.
Well I guess it's a golf course now.
An owner of a golf course called the law on Black women who were taking too long on the green.
This happened in the rust belt city of York, Pennsylvania.
Major celebrities are pissed at the situation that happened at the Grandview Golf Course in Dover Township, a community near York.
Black America knows that the golf course continues to be the most segregated place in the country. You may remember how right wing extremists were worked up over Barack Obama hitting the links. They see no problem with Donald J. Trump going to the links at his own properties on the taxpayer's dime.
Whenever a conservative white person sees a Black person on the golf course, they cringe at the very sight of that person.
Tiger Woods experienced this stuff too.
Sandra Thompson and her friends, Myneca Ojo, Carolyn Dow, Sandra Harrison and Karen Crosby had the law called on them after they were discussing the next hole after they finished.
The owner a former county commissioner named Steve Chronister confronts the women. He told them to keep playing. Three of the women decided to end the game early. The other two continued on.
A few moments later Chronister, his son and a few other men confronted the women.
And of course, the law was called. Thompson, the local chapter president of the NAACP immediately uploaded the video and it went viral.
The law didn't arrest the women but it did rile them up. A simple disagreement over playing time led to the cops being called.
The golf course apologized. It was forced after many celebrities like John Legend, Soledad O'Brien and Shaun King spoke out against it.
The golf course vows to reinstate their memberships and have a formal discussion with the women.
Yeah, like the Waffle House in Mobile and Starbucks in Philadelphia, white people spooked by Black patrons call the law to have them removed.
This stuff has been getting out of hand for sometime.
This continues as long as we keep Donald J. Trump and Republicans in control of government.
MSNBC host Joy Ann Reid with Rachel Maddow. The right wants to take down Reid. They are outraged by her anti-LGBTQ comments. The same bigots that hate her, hate the gay community.
AM Joy celebrates two years on the air.
The MSNBC show is a hit among weekend viewers. The host is an African American woman who took on issues from the left. She battled Republicans, Democrats and yes, Killer Mike. She has a following of 1.2 million on social media.
She is also controversial and the right has long complained about the "double standard."
In light of the controversial remarks on her old blog dissing conservatives with homophobic dings, should Joy Ann Reid face a boycott like Laura Ingraham and Sean "Softball" Hannity?
The conservatives are targeting Joy Ann Reid of MSNBC for her past comments against anti-LGBTQ conservatives and Republicans.
Reid had used homophobic comments to target Republicans and conservative agitators in the past.
The Internet Wayback Machine has unearth The Reid Report, a blog created by the progressive agitator back when she was a South Florida commentator.
Now the right is hoping advertisers boycott her show AM Joy in response.
This is a retilation tactic by the fans of embattled assholes Sean "Spitball" Hannity and Laura Ingraham. Both right wing carnival barkers are facing backlash. Ingraham attacked Parkland survivor David Hogg. It earned her a boycott that cost her 45 sponsors.
The spitball lost 20 sponsors after he ran the Seth Rich kookspiracy, defended Roy Moore and failed to disclose ties to Michael Cohen, Donald J. Trump's troubled lawyer.
Reid claims her old blog was hacked by nefarious activists. She called upon most of the postings being misleading.
Reid was a harsh critic of Charlie Crist, the former governor of Florida who was then an anti-gay Republican. He since changed his way and now became a Democratic lawmaker. His predecessor is MSNBC commentator David Jolly, a former Republican lawmaker who left the party.
Joy Reid with MSNBC transgender commentator Janet Mock.
Reid has been on fire taking on Fox News for conflicts of interest. The minions of Spitball Hannity and Roger Stone are all over this.
Mind you, I changed on my views of the LGBTQ community. I work with them.
There are friends, co workers and family members who are LGBTQ.
Reid who is not anti-LGBT credits her mentor Rachel Maddow for her success.
While many of the comments targeted Ann Coulter, Spitball Hannity, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Mike Pence and others, Reid's post are fucked up.
The LGBTQ community should respond appropriately to her. Matter of fact, Reid will likely respond to the critics. Obviously, she controls the blog and should take full responsibility for it. I don't want to say too much about it. Reid had addressed it.
She even apologized to Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL) for the past remarks.
Yes, people hacked my blog before. They have altered things. I had my images superimposed on stupid shit.
The folks at Wayback Machine said the excuse is bullshit. They want her to own up to the past postings and move on.
The folks at PFLAG resinded the award that she was presented. They do thank her for the support but the past comments have made them nervous.
PFLAG National—the nation’s first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people, their families, and allies—today has rescinded its Straight for Equality in Media award to political analyst Joy Reid.
Said PFLAG National president Jean Hodges, “When we extended our invitation to Ms. Reid to honor her at our 45th anniversary celebration, we did so knowing about the blog posts from the late 2000s regarding Charlie Crist. We appreciated how she stepped up, took ownership, apologized for them, and did better—this is the behavior and approach we ask of any ally. However, in light of new information, and the ongoing investigation of that information, we must at this time rescind our award to Ms. Reid.”
So any thoughts to the controversy?
Should Joy Ann Reid face the same fate as Laura Ingraham and Sean "Softball" Hannity?
