Washington, DC Church "Owns" The Proud Boys!

President Donald J. Trump pardoned and commuted the sentences of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers. The two are extreme right. 

They are considered dangerous.

Trump’s pardoning of the participants of the Jan. 6 insurrectionists is considered one of the worst decisions in his first 100 days. Oh he has made many more.

The Proud Boys were vicious in 2020. When Trump lost to Joe Biden, many of his supporters caused damaged while in Washington, DC.

A church that hosted former president Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey and was the spiritual for Fredrick Douglass was vandalized by the Proud Boys.

The church sued the Proud Boys for $1 million in damages.

The Proud Boys refused to pay.

A federal judge ruled that the Proud Boys will lose their trademark and everything they earn will go to the church.

The Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church got the ruling on Monday. 

Unapologetic former leader of the Proud Boys will lose his right to tell his story and make a buck.

The ruling means that the far-right group can no longer use its name, and “clears the way for the church to try to seize any money that the Proud Boys might make by selling merchandise like hats or T-shirts emblazoned with their name or with any of their familiar logos, including a black and yellow laurel wreath,” the New York Times reports.

Proud Boys leader Henry “Enrique” Tarrio pleaded guilty to the act that July. 

The Proud Boys were ordered to pay the church more than $1 million in 2023 but the group failed to do so, leading to Monday’s ruling.

Trump pardoned Tarrio, who also pleaded guilty to bringing a high-capacity magazine into the District, when he returned to office last month, and members of the group marched in DC on Inauguration Day. Tarrio called the ruling a “betrayal of justice,” the Times reports.
