Marion "Big Suge" Knight is currently in the iron college for 40 years for the murder of a man after his vehicle ran him over deliberately. In 2015, Knight was trying to intimidate Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and The Game at the filming of Straight Outta Compton by F. Gary Gray.
He ended up plowing over Terry Carter and Cle Sloan. Knight claimed he was defending himself. But given his record of intimidation and history, the jury didn't believe him. He plead no contest and the jury handed him 30 plus 10 for being a three-striker.
Knight was always assumed to be involved in the assassination of Notorious B.I.G. (Biggie Smalls).
Christopher Wallace was shot and killed in Los Angeles after he left a Vibe Music Awards afterpay in 1997. He was engaged in a brutal feud with Tupac Shakur and many on the West. It sparked the East Coast and West Coast Feud.
Many fingered Big Suge for the death of Biggie Smalls.
The claims that Knight had a part in the assassination still relish to this day. Knight being a "domestic terrorist" who had association with The Bloods never denied nor confirmed his role. He basically said that Biggie had enemies and it's not his fault people got him.
The claims that Biggie was targeted by C.R.A.S.H. (Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums), a notorious group of Los Angeles Police and Sheriff's Department cops who aligned themselves with the domestic terrorists. They ran like the rackets. They pimped girls and women, pumped drugs into neighborhoods, shake down petty criminals and drug pushers and looked the other way when a hit was coming.
The allegations that a dirty cop who had ties to the Nation of Islam was paid by Knight to go after Biggie, Lil Cease and Sean "Puffy" Combs.
The claims were made by a retired FBI agent who also alleges that the dirty cops helped cover up the murder.
Those claims were backed up by two filmmakers who said they've read court papers.
The rapper was 24 years old. He left behind two children. One from his first girlfriend and second from R&B singer and producer Faith Evans.
Biggie Smalls was injured in a car accident and used a cane when walking. He stood at 6'3'' at 359 lbs.
No one was charge in the death.
The assassination was in response to the death of Shakur. Tupac was gunned down in Las Vegas in September 1996 after he and Big Suge went to a Mike Tyson fight. They engaged in a brawl with a group of men.
When Tupac was riding in the Bentley with Suge, they stopped at a light and an Chevy Impala rolled up on the vehicle and opened fire. Tupac was shot multiple times, Suge was injured in the ear and arm.
No one was charged in Tupac Shakur's death.
The deaths of Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. changed the world. Hip-hop had to do some real thinking after their deaths. Dr. Dre had co-founded Death Row with Big Suge. He left before the Tupac assassination and was a frequent target of the late rapper and Suge.
Snoop Dogg left the label in 1997 and joined Master P's No Limit Records and launched his Doggystyle Records.

Sean Combs would end up trying to make the label bigger. He signed on many talents who released at least two albums under his Bad Boy label.
Many of the acts have long complained that Combs is sloppy when it came to the production and movements. The Lox, Mase, G-Dep, Shyne, 112, Total, Faith Evans, Carl Thomas, Mario Winans, Da Band, Jeezy, Yung Joc, French Montana, Machine Gun Kelly, Cassie, the late Craig Mack and late Black Rob have left Bad Boy at some point in their careers.
There have been talks about a movie detailing the Biggie and Tupac feud.

These incidents are a tragic part of American history.

We haven't forgotten about the many mass shootings in the United States. COVID-19 doesn't stop individuals from picking up firearms and killing others.
And I am getting fucking tired of white nationalists and their enablers of color complaining about the lack of Black fathers. The fathers are either killed by gun violence, police violence, COVID-19, heart diseases, diabetes, freak accidents and just being Black in America.
The website Officer Down is a memorial to those who were killed in the line of duty. Those who don't get their names mentioned in the junk food media. Also the website the National Gun Violence Memorial also keeps record of the many individuals killed by gun violence.
